  1. I got to Rear Admiral on Azur Lane's PVP. My fleet isn't meta so I probably won't finish at that rank. I can't compete with all 120s with a retrofit Warspite. Shes way too strong and its been a year and a half since they had the event to fully retro her. I'm 20 blueprints away from maxing Monarch and I got Amagi to 100 already. It's my backline that's holding me back. I'll have Tashkent, Belfast, and Ayanami to 120 by next week.

So many new ships tho. I got everything on the new rate up except Swifty. The French event is coming up and I pounded out 20 clears of SP3 to get Tartu. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize you could get her for free until 2 days ago. XD I'll have to expand my dock again soon.... but anyway I hope they bring back the Warspite retro event... its BS it needs an event. They should have put it in a grindy head pat mission. Sandy too... I hear i need her AA for world 12. I'm half way through 10 right now.

Well at least Sandy retrofit is coming back soon according to the AL twitter... but muh Warspite. 😭

  2. I've used Yahoo mail for the better part of 20 years now. A few years ago they started adding these intrusive adds that look like emails, and you can accidentally click on them. They've always had ads on the side or as a video when the inbox is empty, but these are annoying. I guess one of the last Ublock updates made is possible to suppress these ads. Every once in a while I'll see it for a second loading in and it goes away when Ublock blocks it.

Now Yahoo has a pop up that demands the blocker be turned off or it reverts back to "old yahoo mail". At first this was an easy fix to where you could just turn the new version back on after it reverts... which serves no purpose outside of looking modern. But now you can't swap back until you tun it off or pay a sub fee... my email bookmark loads into the new version anyways, but the tactic has become more aggressive to where you can maybe click 2 times before it pops up again.

I mean what a joke. I'm not disabling my blocker out of spite. I use my phone email app more anyways, which blocks all ads. Yahoo gains nothing since they freely give out the POP3 info for you to use outlook or any other 3rd party email program that their ads can't be seen on.

Wow. Yahoo seems a bit desperate. Most of these companies all sell everyone's "anonymous" user data to keep it free. I switched to gmail for everything over a year ago mostly because of work, but also the convenience of gmail on my phone. I'll get some promo email thing from them occasionally but it's noticeably marked as an ad.

I still have my ancientclan.com email that I check everyday, but I've been moving everything to my gmail for a while now. My ancientclan.com email is nice because it's unique but fuck spam. It became so tedious setting up anti spam measures on the old server and I'd still get hammered with it. Now the new server is all managed for me but since I have no control on it, some things are getting blocked and it's an extremely aggressive spam block. There's no winning. I'll just use my gmail now.

I had a coworker still using aol.com email. XD holy crap its an old email account. XD

It seems adblock+ was the culprit. They've really dropped the ball over the years. I probably should disabled it completely. Ublock seems to evade almost all detection. I leave them both on for double the protection. The only time Ublock got detected after turning off AB+ was when l was watching an anime series on a questionable site that had a lot of old series i wanted to watch... which oddly enough Funi acquired most of them in the past few months.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That's a good point about adblock. I always leave it and ublock on too.. maybe adblock isn't even doing anything at this point. I haven't tried running just ublock alone yet.

  3. I've never been so happy to get a haircut in my life. Barber shops were allowed to open up today. I guess knowing there would be an overflow of people, there are no walk ins, only same day appointments. I was able to call and get one in. When I got there they had to disconnect the phone because it would not stop ringing and they just couldn't cut hair and keep taking new appointments nonstop at the same time. XD

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Did they have to wear masks and gloves to cut your hair? Everyone around here looks like they're scrubbed up to do surgery. Lol.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

They did, but its way more casual. XD No scrubs, but they spray down the seats with disinfectant after each person.

    3. slippers

      slippers

lol i cant relate. i cut my own hair since high school so another list to my 'corona doesnt affect me' kinda thing. i have shoulder length hair so its easier to manage and get trimmed every month or two than when i had shorter hair. only time i worried about my haircut was when we lost electricity for three weeks due to stupid hurricane and couldnt use my hair clipper

  4. My internet went out over the weekend. Apparently the line in the ground was just very old. My cellphone gets really weak reception at the house so I can't really watch YT or even load webpages very well at times. But I learned mobile games somehow work flawlessly. XD Thankfully too, since I was able to get in a ton of Crimson Echos on AL. I just have D2 and D3 to 3 star, I have every ship except Amagi... which I will whale for at the end if she don't drop since shes top tier PvP. I'm 83% through getting Monarch, and about 20 blueprints from maxing Saint Louis. I'm glad Kaga (BB) dropped for me so I can spend all my event currency on blueprints, oil, and coins.

I also finally finished Chapter 4 of Arknights. Now that I have plenty of E2 operators, I felt confident about beating the boss. Holy shit and I barely just beat her. Myrtle is such an cheat code in this game. Is hard to believe shes only a 4 star vanguard. Yeah she only blocks one and 0 when her ability is active, but I just slap Projekt Red behind her and let the DP points come pouring in so I can set up as fast as possible. Its actually pretty boring to grind for mats and resources. I normally watch youtube or anime while I do that stuff so I actually decided to play the game again and I'm fully impressed with my upgraded units. Now that my internet is back though, i need to E2 more units to trudge into chapter 5. I already peeked at the first map design and I was like "nah fam, I need to get stronger". XD

  5. Big ups to FUNI to making sure the dub process for Fruits Basket Season 2 happened. I lost track since I haven't been logging in daily since the dubs all stopped from last season, but I checked in on a whim and saw the ep was uploaded a day or two ago and behold it was in English! 💓

  6. I guess since I basically sleep my off days away and I'm stuck at work 10-12 hours a day I didn't notice too many April Fools pranks this year. I guess with the current times maybe people didn't feel is was appropriate. GW2's patch notes were pretty lame this go around, but the cats were funny. Azur Lane giving elite Universal Bulin a skin was probably my favorite. XD  The cruelest was a Star Wars fan page posting about Original Cut Trilogy coming to Disney+. 😢 I actually fell for that one because all my days run together. I didn't even realize the Bulin skin event was a joke until I unlocked the skin and realized what day it was. X_X

A couple weeks ago I was planning on taking the Tifa wallpaper on AC and photoshopping a face mask on her and putting some conoraviruses on the wallpaper.. but then a couple weeks later it seemed bad taste. XD I got swamped with work and other stuff too so april fools day got away from me. I hardly noticed any april fools except the GW2 cats.

  7. Hasbro put up 15 episodes of GI Joe on their YT channel for the quarantine. I was a bit hesitant to watch it again after 3 decades or so. After all I remember trying to watch HE-MAN on Netflix and it was fucking horrible. XD But, Surprisingly its held up pretty well over all these years. Yeah its still super cheese, but I was surprised to see how many eps were linked together in a larger story arc. Pretty ahead of its time for American animation. The best thing I've seen so far is Snake Eyes getting trapped in a radioactive cave, wonder around in the freezing arctic with his body glowing radiation, and get rescued by some blind nomad which magically cured his radioactive poisoning with no explanation. XD

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

XDXDXD Thats amazing. XD I tried watching He-Man at one point too.. everyone looks like they were on steroids. XD Every single dude had muscles rippling everywhere but theres no gym episode. XD Watch the old Conan animated series if you can find it. I tried watching some of that not too long ago and it was the same thing.. Almost every single dude is super buff unless they are some kind of comic relief character or the design didn't really fit the super buff style. Even some random merchant selling goods had a 12 pack abs visible through his skin tight clothing. Dude is dressed all poor and living in squalor but he obviously still has the time to lift a crap ton of weights every single day. XD I can't remember if GI Joe was all super buff tho.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It wasn't even about the buff dudes. The ep I watched was about an "evil comet" that just was in the sky the whole ep, they did a bunch of random stuff that didnt make sense and the the comet went away or turned into a good comet in the process. XD

  8. The internet is about to get lit son. I highly suggest downloading and redownloading games and other media you can use if there is no internet. XD Probably just a precaution and overraction since I was having a lot of constant loading and network errors on Azur Lane this morning. I suspect people will be hitting their mobile gaming more. I know Netflix decreased the streaming quality in Europe already anticipating this. I almost had a cow earlier when I won a PvP and it started loading a long time before registering my victory.

  9. Its no secret I have an extremely poor diet consisting of mostly red meat and dairy products. XD But I have definitely cut back on sugar intake over the past couple of years. I'll still eat candy and sweets now and then, but I drink soda maybe a few times a year when something interesting comes out. (Like Dr. Pepper Cream Soda 🤤). I'll drink a glass or two of sweet tea when I go out to eat, and on holidays. But outside of that its coffee and water daily. I haven't put sugar in my coffee in probably 15 years. A few months ago I got into sparkling water because I miss soda, but at the same time I don't... I really don't enjoy it as much as I use too, but water gets awful boring sometimes. La Croix is fucking nasty, I already knew that well before this. But with the sudden explosion of new rivals I took a tour of whats available. Pepsi's Bubly is ok, The apple is probably my favorite out of all of them. Coke had Desani sparking water which was actually pretty good. The lime almost tasted like sprite... but they discontinued all of it for this new AHA shit with weird ass flavors. I tried Blueberry Pomegranate because it was the most normal one, and it seriously went flat before it even got room temp. I sat it down for a few minutes and when I took another sip all the carbonation was gone, wtf? San Pellegrino makes decent ones as well. But the best IMO is Perrier. I'd say Strawberry is the best, followed by Watermelon and Peach. It has a caveat though. There is something magical about the can. XD You have to drink it out of the can ice cold, and the flavor is good along with the different style carbonation (apparently it's natural). Once you pour it into a glass or get one of those plastic bottle versions, its not the same. It tastes flat and flavorless. Its very odd.

But anyways. I don't enjoy sweet drinks anymore at all outside of tea. Maybe its a mental thing because it bothers my acid reflux, but it all started with the alcohol I drank, I moved away from rum or anything mixed as I stopped liking sweet liquor. Then it just kinda carried over to my daily beverages. I treat the rare soda as a dessert now. I can't stomach more than 1 in a day. I have no idea how I use to throw back 3-4 a day when I was a teenager. XD:barf2:

I use to like those squirt drinks, but I have reservations against splenda which is what those are normally sweetened with. Mio and Crystal Light are the big sellers around here. The Kool-Aid ones do pretty well too. Which is basically what it tastes like to me. Kool-Aid. Not that I dislike Kool-Aid but I don't want to drink it all the time. XD Plus those Mio's have to be disposed of as hazardous waste in store when the are broken, and there is no explanation why. The only other edible/non chemical items that are disposed of like this are aerosol cans like cooking spray, and medicine. XD wtf... strike 2 and 3 right there.

As for coffee I mostly drink Peet's Major Dickason's blend and Gevalia Majestic Roast. Since Its just me, I use k-cups for the convenience of a single cup at a time rather than tossing out half a pot of coffee. I generally order from amazon since you can get 75-100 packs for $30-40, rather than paying $10-12 for a 12 pack in store. I actually just subbed to Black Rifle Coffee Company yesterday. I got a sampler pack last year for Christmas but i didn't really care for any of them since they were all medium roast at as such tasted super weak. But now they have Freedom Fuel Dark Roast so I'll give it a shot. They're a veteran company and support a good cause by sending out free coffee to our servicemen and servicewomen overseas. After listening more about them over a Joe Rogan ep, I wanted to join their coffee club. They have an extra dark roast called Murdered Out, but they don't do k-cups yet. I'll probably swap to that if it ever happens. XD

That coffee sounds good. Hazardous waste. XDXDXD I looked it up and its because it contains propylene glycol as a preservative. Theres industrial versions of it and food versions of it. I'm guessing your company has it listed as hazardous waste in the system because its all sorted by one generic listing of that ingredient. Probably because the industrial use of it is for antifreeze. XD

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycol

I found out Mio sold in Canada doesn't have the ingredient. I'm surprised these don't have that California cancer warning on them like every other product I buy. XD

      Interesting article about it:

      https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/propylene-glycol#section4

I don't think I'll have to worry about getting toxic levels in my body with a couple servings a day. I do have liver issues and I have another liver blood test coming up in a few months so it'll be interesting to see if these squirt drinks affects my levels. I don't have any other drugs like ibprofin, etc. in my system anymore for the last 3 months except for asthma meds. Lady's been drinking this stuff for years and all her blood work has been fine except for high blood pressure which she recently started meds for over the last 6 months.

    4. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Looks like those brownie bites might be listed as hazardous too, but then again they added some extra words to the propylene glyol so maybe not. XD

      https://www.walmart.com/ip/Entenmann-s-Little-Bites-Fudge-Brownie-Mini-Muffins-made-with-Real-Chocolate-5-pouches/10293128

And theres multiple flavors of Cold Stone creamery ice cream with it as an ingredient too and I had no idea. Apparently its in some Betty Crocker cake mixes too.

      https://www.coldstonecreamery.com/assets/pdf/nutrition/cold-stone-creamery-ice_cream_sorbet_ingredients.pdf

Now that I'm done going down the rabbit hole of propylene glycol, I'll have to look up some other ingredients this weekend. XD

  10. I see Netflix stepped up their anime game just a little bit. I've been wanting to watch Akame ga Kill for the longest time and what do you know, its on Netflix and its dubbed. It was a fun watch but damn they savagely kill off a lot of characters in the most brutal fashion. There is no power of friendship to be found here. XD The last fight was 10/10. My only knock is the bit of DBZ'ism in all the fight dialogue "This is my ultimate move achieved only under these niche conditions which you now know!" XD And the constant letting the opposition prep for a big attack on both sides. Anyways, its worth a watch if you need a good violent action series to burn. I guess I'll check out Cagaster of an Insect Cage next.

  11. #RIP my bank account in April. Not only does FFVII remake come out on my Bday, but the Trials of Mana remake and Sakura Wars comes out BOTH on the 24th and 28th. wtf. x_x I've been into a lot of Japanese games lately. After Ys: VIII, I've had an itch I've needed to scratch for old school style ARPGs. I picked up Tales of Berseria since it was on sale, and have been having a blast with it. I also still need to beat Astral Chain on Switch.

Digital. I doubt I'll ever buy physical again.

  12. Been trying to up my soap game. I use to be a body wash person, but after obtaining some skin issues because bacteria can fester on those scrubbers, I swapped to good ole dial antibacterial stuff and it cleared it up in 2 days thankfully. My issue with bar soap is it doesn't last long, and you end up losing the last bit of it when it gets small and thin. I've been doing a lot of research and came a cross a few brands.

Dr. Squatch seems to be the most popular, but that's mostly due to marketing from reviews I've read. When it comes down too it, it seems to be overpriced soap that doesn't last long or even smell good.

AoS (Art of Sport) is another popular one, the reviews are mixed, but it seems to be pretty good for sweating. I'll def give this one a try in the future.

Duke Cannon makes gigantic bars of soap. It lasts a pretty long time and they smell pretty industrial/economy if you now what I mean? XD I can see myself buying it again. Right now I don't see anything beating it, but the size is a bit inconvenient to hold on to. XD It feels like it will break a toe if you drop it on your foot.

Next on my list though is Viking Revolution and No 63. I bought a bar of each off amazon to see what that's about. I have high hopes for No 63 because all the reviews said it lasts a crazy long time. That's mainly what I'm looking for. The smell is less important as no soap scent lasts more than an hour out of the bathroom, and even then someone needs to basically press their nostrils against your skin to smell it. That's what Cologne is for. Which is a whole other topic.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I've never heard of any of those soaps before so I googled them. Duke Cannon's website says "BIG ASS BRICK OF SOAP" rotflmao! XDXDXD

Those soaps look good. I'm not well versed on men's products anymore. Mostly because once I find something that works for me I stick with it. Although I do want to get a new shampoo. Something that can hydrate my scalp. I have thin hair and such extreme low humidity in my house during winter that after a shower my scalp becomes almost bone dry and the skin almost wants to shrivel up and flake. I basically have to jump on a step machine and work up a very light sweat just to rehydrate my scalp. Wtf.

I don't like body wash because the scent lasts too long. I use Olay bar soap with shea butter. I can buy a 6-8 pack at walmart for around $9. These bar soaps used to last forever but they got changed years ago to melt away like all bar soaps nowadays. The 6 pack are larger individual bars than the 8 and do last slightly longer, but for the price for amount of soap it's not bad at all. I have sensitive skin and Olay with shea butter is the only bar soap I've used for years. That sliver of soap isn't a problem either since I found out if you don't want wait until they are super thin, you can merge them into a fresh bar by pressing them together at the end of a shower. Just work them together a bit and leave the sliver piece on top and after a couple more showers it melts right into it.

Pardon my filthy soap dish, but here's a pic. XD

      20200227_142154.thumb.jpg.6292f4791ca49792caff108ca348527d.jpg

I also use dial antibacterial liquid hand soap at the sink. And Dove men+ care stain defense clean deodorant. That deodorant causes significantly less yellow staining on clothes, but I sweat like a bastard with any deodorant I use. Lol. And Curel fragrance free lotion is the best for my sensitive skin. No smell, no greasy after effect one it absorbs and it's got no smell at all.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I've had dandruff issues my whole life. I guess because my hair is super thick. Every barber has always made a comment about it my whole life about how thick my hair is. Try T/Sal. I think its new? T/Gel works too but damn it smells like road tar or asphalt. -_-; When i was a young kid my mom always made me use T/Gel when my scalp got bad, but T/Sal doesn't smell at all... like seriously zero scent... again unless you stick it up in your nostril. XD I know a lot of things say no scent and they still have one, but this one smells like nothing.

      image.thumb.png.5ee09bb83c2ae4045a7ffacc47d8e10e.png

Maybe my skin just doesn't take to scented products very well, I must absorb them or something. Body wash never lasted long on me, even some colognes. I recently upped my game on that since i found the FragranceX website. They sell discount overstock like Tester bottles meant to be used by department stores. Amazon tends to have too many counterfeit colognes going out so I had to find a good discount retailer. I like Tommy Hilfiger Eau de Cologne, but it lasts just a little bit for me. Versace Eros and Polo Green work amazing for me and last all day. In the summer I sweat profusely at my job when it gets really hot so antiperspirant doesn't last all day sometimes.  Its like a last resort second line defense if that happens. XD I use Degree mostly because its strong. I don't have too much of an issue with stains even on my undershirts unless they're extremely old.

Thanks! I'll have to try that shampoo. :D

I almost never were cologne. Ever since I started working office jobs 20 years ago, if a guy put on cologne or ladys put on perfume, they'd be the most hated person at work. We're all sitting in cubicles or in a row of desks and that one person smelling strong all day would result in all kinds of issues. XD "why do I have to smell Jim all day!? Who the f*ck does he think he is?" Another person walking past a perfume lady "that perfume is so strong my eyes are watering" another coworker shouts from a row over in agreement: "it's really strong I'm going to have to go home for a half day because it's flaring my asthma."

meanwhile another coworker burns microwave popcorn and brings it to her desk to eat the good ones still the bag. "Jesus christ woman!? Seriously!?"

When eating fish on fridays became a thing for some ppl.. it eventually stopped being a thing when ppl in other departments starting complaining they could smell it through the walls. XD

  13.  Whew, that was a GRIND! Starting Monarch next because I have a fleet of the required ships to use for the XP farm. These priority ships are insane to unlock. I only have so many cog chips for her. I guess I need to start shelling out the 8k gold every time her large project rolls around. X_x

  14. Random thought. How much is too much? I remember when I was young, and my parents had adult social gathering with friends, there was Budwiser, Miller, and Coors. Maybe some others here and there. When I came of age the selection got a bit more vast. I don't really drink beer anymore as the constant pissing and bloating isn't worth the small buzz it provides. Holy cow today there is so many damn beers tho. Like 6000 IPAs alone. How do you even decide? Especially if you're as adventurous as someone like me. You'd never be able to settle on a favorite because you want to try something new too much. There is so much that I'd forget something I liked after trying 30 more beers over the course of months. It kinda reminds me of damn yogurt. When I started in the grocery business there was 3 types of yogurt. Breyer's Cream Savers, Yoplait, and store brand. Now there's a 20 foot section of yogurt at every store... and let me tell you... MILLIONS of dollars go in the garbage every year from it going out of date. Its the biggest food waste in America. Anyways. Overall I don't drink anywhere near as much as I use to and when I do its bourbon/whiskey only. I have my tried and true, but I'd always like to venture out and try something here and there when something new would appear on the shelf... but now Bourbon is the same way. XD WTF My curiosity gets the better of me and I've tried nothing but new stuff the last 3 bottles I've gotten the past year. They've all been pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. I'm going to pick up something new again tomorrow for the kick off of Season 2 for COD. I'll stand there like an idiot for 20 min trying to decide, knowing that I won't be back for another 2 months. By that time 10 new bourbons will be out. I don't know whether to complain about it or be happy that the market is so robust after there was apparently going to be a bourbon shortage according to some reports a few years ago. I don't, and I never will drink cheap. If I can't afford the good stuff I go without. And now that I go through a bottle every 2-3 months rather than 1 a week or two like in my 20s. XD I'm willing to spend even more per bottle. I tried some Prichard Bourbon last time, it was pretty good but had some sweet tones like brandy I didn't care for too much. I like my bourbon to be rough and tough with that good oaky taste that incinerates your sinuses upon hitting your tongue. XD Before that I had Clyde May's Alabama Whiskey which was really good. There are a lot of staples that are releasing new stuff I want to try unless its that fruit infused crap. Uh damn Millennials ruining alcohol with there fruit flavors. White Claw is an abomination of mankind and shouldn't exist. /endrant.

You haven't experienced crap until you are stuck at home in a blizzard and only have an old bottle of canadian ltd. XD

I haven't had Chick-Fil-A in years, same with Sonic and Popeyes. 5 guys and Wendys are my go to for a good fast food burger. I don't each nearly as much fast food or restaurant food any more, maybe once a week or every other week. Lately its been once a week tho and I've had to settle with burger king or KFC because the selections aren't that great around here, but Arbys does make a decent brisket sandwich when I'm craving bbq. The best chicken tenders I've ever eaten are from Raising Cane's. I wish they'd open one here near me. Every time I visit ohio I go there for the chicken sandwich, its 3 tenders on a bun. Damn thing is delicious. That and white castle. lol. Gotta eat at least a couple sliders. XD

Since I sometimes go a month or more without eating a particular fast food, when I go back to it, I'll notice the difference in sizes immediately. lol. Theres been a couple times where the jr bacon cheesburger from Wendys has shrunk noticeably twice over the years. And KFC chicken tenders have shrunk so much over the years, if I order a 3 piece meal I usually get 4 pieces of boneless fried chicken that doesn't even resemble tenders anymore, just white meat chicken thats too long to be considered a nugget. Raising Cane's tho on the other hand, thats a f*cking chicken tender.

Back to booze, Bookers was good, but damn it was strong. My tongue has gotten alot more sensitive to salt and alcohol as I age. Weird, but now if something is too high in alcohol it basically burns my tongue. Any mouth wash I use has to be zero alcohol or I'll basically burn my damn tongue. Anything over 35-40% alcohol for me now has to be watered down with something. x_x

You really gotta try that Popeye's Chicken Sandwich, its magical. The chicken paddy is massive. Its pretty simple though, It's just a big succulent chicken paddy with some zesty sauce and pickles. I love Arby's but its the furthest chain from me so I don't go too often. Their social media is on point though. Raising Cains. ah yes, that's very Similar to Foosackly's but Foo is better (better sauce selection, and bacon queso fries option). There is also another tender chain called PDQ which I really liked, but ours shut down for some reason. I'm surprised they even have a Cains up that far north. Foo is superior because its a local thing and the chicken is super fresh. but Cains is really good. So is Zaxby's but its at the bottom of both Cains and Foo.

Five Guys is so good, but I don't consider them fast food since they cook to order like Whataburger but their prices are pretty high around here. I mean Whataburger is too. You'll pay a good $9-11 for a combo at Whataburger, but its like $15+ at Five Guys for the equivalent. I get the double cheeseburger fully dressed... what can I say? XD Whataburger is a Texas chain, so everything is big. Their medium drink is the size of a route 44 at Sonic. XD In-N-Out is really good too, but there aren't any here. I got to go to one in Vegas and it was really tasty.

I fucking hate BK. Fuck them. Their customer service is absolute trash at every single one I've ever been to in several states. Their burgers are hot garbage. The bun is too dense, and they nuke the damn thing before they give it to you. If I only had a choice between McD's and BK. I'd pick McD's instantly for the rest of my life. BK's chicken fries are the only reason I, on very rare occasions, go there. McD's McRib is my weakness. XD I don't care how many chemicals are in it. Its delicious trash tier BBQ. XDXDXD. But I do crave some McNuggets every now and then. KFC is poor man's Popeyes IMO. The chicken is good, but all their sides are garbage in comparison. Nothing.. and I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, beats Popeye's biscuits. Its like they make some Pillsbury Grands and toss them in a pool of salted liquid butter to marinade for a bit. XD You can feel your soul dehydrate with every bite but its soooooo good. XD

The biggest travesty in downsize is McD's Big N Tasty.. which I call the Small n Tasteless now. I remember when it came out in the early 90s. I was a young teen. But the paddy was so big it jutted out of each side of the bun. The Monster Burger from Hardee's is a close second. Back when they had super models half naked eating them on TV, they were so good. The monster burger was insanely huge... and then Ruby Tuesdays had the ultimate colossal burger which was even bigger. XD

Back to Booze like you said. Bookers is so good, but yes it BUUURNS. I prefer Blanton's because its unfiltered like Bookers but the taste is way smoother in a Gentleman's Jack type way..... But way to be a pansy on mouth wash. XD I use the maximum 7 action burning Listerine. If it doesn't feel like my gums are melting, I feel like its not working. XD I endure the pain for 40 seconds before spitting it out. The incineration of my gums, tongue, and cheek lining, convinces me that all germs have been eradicated.

    3. Sledgstone

      XDXDXD Lady loves those BK chicken fries which is why we go there. Arbys is right there so I'll hit up BK for her and then Arbys for me sometimes, especially if its happy hour at Arbys. I think its 2-4 pm at Arbys, during happy hour all the sliders are knocked down to $1 each and I'll order a combo and a couple extra jalapeno roast beef sliders, or just skip a combo and get nothing but a variety of sliders. lol. I got thinking about it and its hard to consider Five Guys fast food since there is no drive through. I suppose its more of the fast causal restaurant. What I don't get is why some of these fast food places have different menus depending on what state you're in. I know they're all franchises, so maybe the individual owners don't have to carry certain things. But 5 guys in ohio that my parents go to sells a variety of shakes and even have sweet potato fries. All the 5 guys near me don't offer either of those. And your McD's still sells the Big N Tasty!? I haven't seen one of those in years. First they shrank and then they were gone. That was my go to sandwich, but no McD's near me have had these in forever. McD's here is horrible with their staff. Incompetence. They have double lane drivethroughs and every time theres one drive through that gets served faster. Last time I was at one, I got in the second lane, the first lane had 3 cars have their order taken before I was served. wtf. I ordered a Quarter pounder deluxe and when I got my food I got the bacon quarter pounder. At that point I wasted so much time there I didn't feel like going in to complain. -_-;

Most of the fast food places you've mentioned I've had to google. XD I've never seen them. XD There is a popeyes in my region, but its like a 30 minute drive one way. I plan on going there eventually. If I want a really good more gourmet style burger I'll go to Red Robin. I've only eaten there once, but damn if that burger wasn't delicious and the honey mustard sauce they have is truly unique for dipping fries in. lol.

McD's rib sandwich is a rip off. XD I say that because I swear to god they are using Banquet Rib patties.

      banquet_rib2.thumb.jpeg.b5a5c1f036ddb9c6ef1cd5539c4c0c17.jpegbanquet_rib.jpeg.d2c9956c9ae4606abfdee6d5f4a5598a.jpeg

Thats the mcrib right there. XD Its $1 at walmart, microwave it, put it on a bun with a couple pickles and you can have a mcrib whenever you want. XD It tastes good to me and I eat them often enough that when the McRib comes out, I swear the tastes is so damn similar that the McRib looses all "limited time!" appeal to me. XD Banquet even sells just the rib patties in a family six 6 pack so you don't have to even deal with those potatoes and hard corn. XD

Ultimate burn listerine. XD Screw that. lmao! XD

  15. Oof. This anime season is supremely lackluster so far. Black Clover assumes the top spot since this arc is batshit crazy. Not really impressed by anything new. Nekopara, BOFURI, and... *takes in a bunch of air* If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die, are cute. Plunderer will probably end up being my favorite of the new stuff. Most will play in the background while I grind Arknights/AL. At least it looks like Paranoia Agent is coming to Funi. It'll be a blast to watch through that weirdness again.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I mean if you watched subs you could watch the wonderful Eizouken (probably my favorite of this season), Asteroids in Love (this show if fucking adorable), and Somali and the Forest Spirit (another adorable show and my second favorite of this season).

BOFURI is a lot of fun, didn't think I'd actually like it but after watching the first three episodes Tuesday night after work I fell in love with it. Such an interesting premise and by god is Maple a little monster.

Outside of those four and Isekai Quartet S2 (god I love this show and they brought Naofumi in from Shield Hero finally) I'd have to agree. This season is kind of a downer as I have no interest in any of the other shows. I'm pretty much just coasting through this year waiting for Promised Neverland S2, Slime S2, Log Horizon S3 (god damn am I so happy this got a 3rd season, can't fucking wait), the rest of Azur Lane, the continuation of The War for Underworld arc in SAO, Fruits Basket S2, No Guns Life S2, and Yuru Camp S2. Those are the shows I'm really waiting for.

  16. Muh feels. Holy cow my eyes. 😭 MHA's dub fell a week behind last month so I just got to the end of the fight and the Nighteye hospital scene. I wasn't expecting that from MHA. It doesn't help that Kono Oto Tomare's finale was phenomenal and also misty eye inducing. Anime brutalized my emotions today. XD

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Man that was a rough one. Many manly tears were shed for Nighteye 😭Fucking kick to the nuts is what it was and it didn't help that I knew it was coming, wasn't expecting that much emotion (especially from Mirio who has officially become my 2nd favorite MHA character, this weeks episode cemented it for me with how he's handling everything).

  17. I got on the Arknights hype train. Its pretty fun but it will drain your battery pretty good. If you like tower defense style games it's worth checking out for a time killer.

Oh I have an AL regime. XD I knock out my easy daily missions and combat assignments while I eat breakfast, I'll monitor my commissions through out the day. I'll knock out my 3 hard clears on lunch break since I don't eat as my shift is to where I eat breakfast before and lunch when I get off. Then I'll clear a world or two when I'm off. I probably still got more than a million left of the 2mil on Saint Louis. It feels like its going a hell of a lot slower than the 1 million xp. But thats all I have left for her. I finally got Kaga from 3-4 today, just need Akagi. w00t. These rate ups love me, I did a 10 pull today and got 2 more  Gloucester's XD I have everything for her full limit break now. I gotta save my Bulin's for Ayanami since I guess she doesn't even drop after you get her from the collection.

Pramanix is super nice, but Orchid isn't to be underestimated. I've had to swap back to her just for lower 10 cost for certain missions since I have her potential maxed. I'm starting to notice how much more synergy matters, and not so much character level at points... at least for the dailies. Resource Search is fucking nightmare to 3 star. I think that's the allure of this game is to just 3 star the daily's so you can auto cruise them after. I'm sitting here with 40-50s and enemy 30s are getting to my base. at least 1. But I finally made it to SK-3 which gives out those sweet carbon bricks I've desperately needed to further upgrade my base. I'm about to dump a lot of my excess sanity into it now. I've done swapped my squad around so much it doesn't resemble that anymore. XD I discovered the part of the store you can use all the accumulated free currency to buy stuff. Holy shit there is so much different random currency in this game I don't get half of it. But I was able to pick up a batch of head hunting licenses  and got Nightingale and Shining. (I guess my rate up luck is good on both games. 😛 I didn't get Seige though which is who I really want) I'll level them up later when the LMD daily comes back around. I highly recommend Tactone's YT channel for a lot of good information. He's a super hype whale, but damn he's pointed out a lot of good stuff. Like his recruitment guide. That link is from one of his videos, and there are certain tag combos you can pick to get guaranteed operators. I set Silence as my support unit if you want to try her out. Although I haven't promoted her yet to get her healing drone. I've just realized I've been missing out on free headhunt tickets because of the pinboard missions. I didn't use a practice session to advance it and now I'm raking them in from backlogged progress. XD

Once I get to where I have a 2nd support unit slot I put Siege in it, I E1'ed her. Since shes 6 star it won't let me put her in the first slot. But I did E1 Silence if you want to check out her healer drone. I'm a little demoralized right now because I made it to 382 enemies on Annihilation. I wasn't paying attention and my healer went down on the bottom path and she couldn't come back in time to save it from being overwhelmed. X_X.

Edit: the drone is amazing. Silence is by far my favorite heal unit. It costs 5 DP but doesn't count towards the unit limit. It heals in a 8 tile area for 10 seconds anywhere its placed. But it must be placed in the ground units area. It can't go on elevated areas.

  18. Deep into my one and only mobile game, Facebook caught wind. 🙄 I've spent the past 2 weeks grinding out on Azur Lane. I've pretty much fallen in love with the simple little game. I enjoy the collecting, retrofitting, gearing, dorm managing and commissioning more than the actual missions. XD  But now I get every shit shovelware ad for mobile games on my facebook feed. Kiss of War, Raid Shadow Legends, Epic Seven, Iron Saga. I wonder how much they actually add to their playerbase/funds from these? I don't choose to hide the ads because the comments section are gold with the mockery. Of course I only get these ads on my phone while on my PC i get FFXIV ads which I already have a sub too, and some anime crate which I allow to keep showing because I've hid every other possible ad in the algorithm from showing up. I rather just keep that one around because they have nice promo art most the time.

    1. Sledgstone

A friend of mine asked me to look up some Rec Tec smokers and now all my Facebook ads are for Rec Tec grills. XD the only Facebook ads I had to block are political ones. Trump specifically. I hate the guy, I sure as hell don't want to see his face on my feed in between posts from the meat smoking fans and pomeranian fans posts. XD

My feed is like.. onion article, cute dog, smoked prime rib, space article, random friend posts, cat memes, kotaku article, etc. Most of my ads now are amazon and walmart products I've googled.

One of the funniest ads I saw was for traeger grills. It was a smoker and the guy cooking ribs was wearing a suit. The comments were amazing. "When I smoke meat I always wear my suit, that way I smell like charcoal at the office." XD

  19. Lets take a moment of appreciation for how utterly bad ass Maki's fight was on this weeks Fire Force. Same dude Arthur struggled with. That rig Vulcan set her up with is wicked. I'm really not ready for season 1 to end. Same with Dr. Stone. Both totally different series with outstanding world building. Its gonna feel a bit empty when they're done. MHA will probably start picking up steam soon though. Stars Align has been a nice surprise, and Azur Lane is totally my guilty pleasure this season. XD XD *ahem* But I digress.

When I logged in this morning my first thought when I got Belfast was "DX is going to lose his shit". Seems I was right XD

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I did. XD I already stripped a few other ships of their better gear, and making her hit the books while I commission her up to par. XD I got Noshiro today off my daily builds so I have everything from the event. I was saving my currency in case she didnt drop on the last day but now I was able to buy the last SR catmander and fill my oil reserves after being stuck in the 900-1000s the last few days. I'll buy everything else before its over with.

    4. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

All I can say is goddamn, Belfast is a monster. Despite changing only a few things around in my 2 main fleets she already in the 90s in rank, passing everyone except Enty and Portland. Shes MVP every single time. Which btw Portland Retrofit... wtf? Shes about to pass Enty hogging all the MVP glory in Fleet 1.  Fleet 1 is Eagle Union and Fleet 2 is Royal. Illustrious is clutch with the shielding as if Bel's smoke screen wasn't powerful enough. I'm missing a lot of Sakura and Iron Blood still as far as elites and SRs go. I got Atago but no Takao... which I'm tempted to buy that super adorable skin for her they just put up. I just need 1 more star for Z23 and Laffey to get Ayanami. The SR Bulin thing is killing me right now. I just spent medals to get one, I guess I need to clear more stages but its getting to the point where I'm not powering through as easily. I made it to 8-1 yesterday, but I'm spending my oil on dailies and Hard missions this week since 3X Core started today. Plus I run 3-4 a couple times a day hoping that Kaga or Akagi will drop eventually. I need to Max Yuki and probably Atago since the challenges have been the same so far for their individual missions.

Also, those weekly maintenance and random user benchmark rewards are pretty clutch. I guess its just my luck. I needed oil badly last week and they topped me off. And then the skill books from the user count was something I needed reaaal bad because I was about to run out. I'll pretty much feed them that $7.99 every 30 days for that trade package too so long as they keep my interest. I'm a t3 carrier part and a bulin away from Saratoga's retrofit (uuugh I want her Pop Idol skin!!) and I'll probably work on Hammann and Warspite or Sandy next.

I dunno if its my lack of ship diversity right now, but damn they can be real douches on Hard mode. Like the fleet requirements deny all my synergy. They make sure to keep Indy and Portland apart. Poor Atago had to take a beating for 6-3 because she was locked in at level 80 until I could limit break her again, and her gear isn't really the best right now. XD

  20. There is nothing like random spiders coming down from the AC vent over your bed. I swear this is happened 4 times that I know of, or thought I knew of in the past 4-5 years. I'd wake up in the middle of the night, and the small illumination from my room fan would let me see a damn spider hanging in front of my face. I'd swat at it, not feel anything and go back to sleep. At fist I chalked it up to being still half asleep and maybe I was just seeing things. Then one time I woke up with a somewhat swollen red patch inside my bicep that was warm to touch all day. Then two nights ago as I put my phone on my night stand with the screen still on I saw something floating above me and I swatted it with the bed comforter. Not wanting to be bitten again, I got up, shook the bed sheets out and upon not seeing anything I went back to sleep... Yesterday I found a dead quarter sized wolf spider in the middle of the floor. I looked up a wolf spider bite and it sure enough it seems that's what bit me months ago. 🙄 Its just weird they like that particular vent. They aren't dangerous, but the bite was pretty annoying for 24 hours. Seeing as my ceiling fan blades are pretty close to the vent, it amazes me they don't get blown sideways coming down like that. I wish they'd just crawl on the wall and go somewhere else than landing on me while I sleep. -_-; Winter can't come fast enough.

We get wolf spiders here, I've killed a couple so far this summer in my bathroom. I think they crawled in thru the bathroom vent and somehow got in the bath tub. A good frost will kill alot of them. Hopefully a crap load of ticks will die off to. I'm tick paranoid.

  21. Cop Craft is the most underrated, under the radar series this past season. Its not some masterpiece for the ages, but damn it was a ride from start to finish. If you liked BRIGHT on Netflix, this is pretty much the anime long form of it. Action, Gore, and a splash of dry humor, packed into 12 eps is worth a watch. It will probably never get a seconds season, and thats ok. If you have 6 hours to blow, it's worth a binge.

Imma share this again because the OP is so late 90s. I just love it. One of those few I never skipped.

  22. It's been a long time since I've been duped hard by Netflix. I started watching Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato last night. It said Season 1, and the preview looked awesome. I was getting really into the story, the animation was stunning, the action and music were amazing... and then it ended after episode 3. -_-; Turns out it was a movie they divided up into 3 eps. WTF. Amazon has the actual series but its subbed. I guess I'll watch it one day.

rotflmao! XD Netflix did the same thing when season 2 of Seven Deadly Sins came out.. on netflix... 4 episodes. XD I think season 3 has gone on netflix by now which is the actual season 2 I think, but I haven't watched it yet.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah maybe I'll get around to watching it one day. I dunno what it is, I loved the first season but lack the motivation to even check that out since I heard "season 2" wasn't a season.

  23. As a hater of CGI in anime for the most part. I must say Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin has done the best job I've seen of using it. The Battle of Loum was an incredible sequence. This should be a clinic on how to do proper CGI if you're going to do it. I'll always prefered drawn, but damn that episode was phenomenal.

  24. Since the founding of Kickstarter I've only backed one project and that was Kung Fury. XD I recently backed two more projects. A new wallet and a retro style watch.

I honestly don't get the whole "minimalist" wallet thing. I think it's pretty dumb actually. Before this fad even started it was hard enough for me to find a wallet with enough card slots to begin with. I have a debit card, drivers licenses, concealed carry permit, Social security card, health insurance card, dental insurance card, Kohl's card, and 3 credit cards (Visa, Master, Discover). Now that everywhere takes Visa I kinda wish I didn't have all 3, but there was a time Sam's club only took discover, and my master card was my first line of credit that just got upgraded to a mastercard when it was originally just a sears card. XD Anyways all in all I have 12-14 cards, and I feel like I always need them in case of an emergency. I don't carry cash, so the whole billfold that only holds 1 card... I don't know how people do it. I backed this Grip6 wallet because I've been using their belts and they're amazing. I also break belts a lot since I only use 1 for everything and I'm very active at my job. If it wasn't for the leather sleeve that increases card capacity to 14, i wouldn't have bothered. It's a cool concept. I use my debit card multiple times a day. All my cards that pay for stuff will go into the pop up slot. My lesser used cards like insurance and ID will go in the leather sleeve.

I've also reinvigorated my love for watches. I own 3 in my rotation. I've lost my love for metal bracelet watches as I always break them, and leather I ruin from sweating at my job so much. I just ordered a canvas strap to replace a leather band actually. But I also love analogue watches. I don't like pulling my phone out to look at the time, its just easier to look at my wrist. I've always had a watch since I was 14. I'll never be one of those serious watch collectors that owns $5000 watches... thats too extreme. I stay under $400. I've been looking for something retro and classy to add to my collection.. buying real vintage watches is out of the question so I found this... but its only half funded with 27 days left so It may not become a thing.

I'll never back a kickstarter game after all the shenanigans over the past couple of years, but recently I've found it to be a good source of finding things that no one else is making to my needs. I still did my research on the company/owner before backing, but hopefully I get two decent products. With all the crazy OT I've been getting lately I have the luxury to splurge a little.

That Kohls cash bonus worked amazing last black friday. If I was looking at the regular prices, its crazy, but with the sales along with the coupons and kohls cash bonus it makes it a good deal. I just don't get the marketing involved with all the coupon codes and kohls cash. Its like they want people to see the great savings and jump through extra hoops to get it. But its definitely better quality than walmart clothing.

Flex waists ftw. XD I was hesitant at first with flex waists because they looked like they'd be thick and uncomfortable. Nope. So much more relax fitting for me, especially since I have to sit all day for work. Standing up I want my pants to be fitting right, but sitting down I don't want the waist crushing into my stomach. Flex waist is amazing. XD

Walmart is the same way with their pants. XD I can almost never find my size, but they'll have 30 inch or 48 inch XXL no problem. XD I use to wear 36 and then 38, but now I'm down to a 32. I still can't find 32 in stock most of the time. As I've gotten older I tend to prefer sit as hip style relax jeans instead of at waist.. mostly because my hips and waist are an odd shape and at waist pants always drag down to my hips anyway. But then I want 29 inch length instead of 30 and nobody has 32x29 at hip relax flex waist. Thats my ideal jeans. XD

I need new boots but I might go back to bass pro shop for those. I have no idea what brand I should get tho.. I want something cheap, but decent looking for going out in public while still keeping my feet warm. I can still use my big ass insulated lacrosse boots for shoveling, but they are not the best looking boot for going out in public. lol.

I don't know about having too many lines of credit affecting the score, but too much debt definitely does. I know at one point I canceled a credit card and it didn't affect my credit score. I haven't looked at my report in a couple years so I can't remember if that card is still shown on it or not. 805 credit score is beastly, no wonder the car sales person was shocked. XD An 805 credit score can get you just about any line of credit or loan and get the best rate. For example, to qualify for a house, people need their credit to be at least 630 or so I believe, but the higher the credit score the better the mortgage rate. My credit was 780 when I got approved for my house. But house loans also require underwriting where the bank looks at everything. Credit score, work employment, length of employment, income to debt ratio, living expenses, bank accounts to verify savings of around 10% of the cost of the house to cover down payment, closing costs, inspections, etc.. and the house's value and taxes value in comparison to income and payment ability. I mention that underwriting because after they did all that for me and got me my approval for the house.. once I got the loan my credit score slowly dropped down to 680 in the following months. I have a lot of credit card debt, but I think getting the mortgage actually hit my credit score harder than the underwriting.. but I think in terms of credit score it only counted as a single inquiry into my credit. But I got another credit card for my lawn tractor in May and put over $1700 on it for the tractor. Over the last handful of months my credit score actually went back up to 720 or so.. because I got another line of credit I guess. wtf.

Another odd thing, 5 years ago when I paid off my car loan, my credit score was 780 then too.. then like 2 months after I paid it off, my credit score dropped to 740.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah paying off definitely hurts a little which is silly. I think instead of too much debt its how much debt compared to how much credit you have. I was almost $80-90k in debt at one point between my credit cards and my student loans. But thanks to discover cards ridiculously huge credit line I was still $40k under my total limit. XD I think having everything maxed out is what gets you. Credit card debt apparently is a science to the formula. I got myself into some trouble loading them all up, but I never maxed them out and I always paid on time more than the minimum, even if it was $10 more than the minimum. I have everything on autopay the minimum just so I don't miss if I forget.  I was like $30k in debt in just credit cards at one point. Now I have 2 lines with only around $500 each, and my Discover is at $6800 which I really need to work on better. Every year I had been using a large chunk of my tax returns to pay off the cards.

Yeah that's what I need to do. I have a card maxed out right now. It's a pain. Buying the house ended up with us buying a crap load of stuff for the house. In the end we did to much this first year. Now we're in pay off mode. X_x

  25. As much as I am enjoying this anime season with so many good shows. Friday is just incredible. Fruits Basket, Dr. Stone, and Fire Force. Pretty much 3 of my top 4 this season. (Cop Craft battling with FB for that #3 spot). All three episodes were amazing this week. Kohaku is the ultra best girl this season. 😍 As much as a lot of people hate it, I've always been a fan of the huge eyeballs, weird faces, massive mouth, anime faces for comedy as long as it's done right. Dr. Stone nails it. XD

Fire Force wins the season for me since I can't honestly say Demon Slayer and Fruits Basket are part of this current season as they started airing last season (though if I could Demon Slayer wins hands down). None of the other stuff interests me in the least (though I might check out the Milfsekai show when I get a chance (that's what one of the youtubers I follow calls "Do You Love Your Mom and her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks" since it seems like it might be entertaining).

Ugh that one isn't dubbed. I looks like it could be funny. So many Isekai these days though. XD
