  1. Just got a severance from my old job, and I immediately paid off a credit card. Feels good because that's a monthly payment gone that will act as a buffer for the small pay cut I took at my new job. Plus it was the card with the highest APR. I gotta hold out another year hopefully. My PC is showing signs of its old age, and I'll probably have to upgrade completely in the future. At 10 years old, its mother board is probably severely outdated to rebuild on, 6 of the USB ports don't work anymore, and more are dying. My wireless connection is kinda shit because I think the USB ports cut off for a second and kick me off at random times. I say this because the USB port I had the adapter plugged into died when it was giving me problems, and I put it into a new one and after a few days the same issue started happening again. I had to swap my mouse to a new port because that one died. Even though I haven't been playing GW2, I can imagine getting kicked off while doing something important. My PC case is too small at that. The video card I just bought a few months ago barely fits in it, otherwise I'd strip the old ass wireless card my dead PC had and put it in... although I think I lost the antenna for it. XD I also have plans to buy a new firearm. I sold my 1911 to the FFL I frequent so I could secure a larger down payment for my car. I never carried that behemoth, but I want a revolver since I don't have one. That will only cost me around $600... so that empty credit card balance is already begging to be used. XDXDXD

That was always my problem with credit cards. Lol. As soon as there is available credit it felt like i had money to spend. XD I'm still paying off debt and i hate it. If I could go back in time and slap myself i would. XD

I recommend getting one of these for your usb issues:

I had something similar happen. Turns out my usb slots still worked but what failed was the power they were outputting. I'd try to transfer pics from my phone to the pc and it would connect and disconnect constantly and another usb slot wouldn't even recognize it. Same with my external hard drives that are self powered thru the usb connection. I bought this self powered usb hub and as long as i have it plugged into a power outlet every usb port i plug it into works again.

I lived in an apartment with a friend for 4 years when I was only making like $11.23 an hour and I was in my mid 20's. Budgeting was def not a high priority. XD I built up a lot of debt because I'd throw groceries on the credit card or a car repair. I quickly found myself in a crap ton of debt across 4 accounts, and had to move back in with my parents after a while. I have like 2 more payments on my student loan, and I'll be down to about $6000 in debt mostly on a single credit card. Oddly enough, it's done wonders for my credit score because I never miss a payment, and my credit is 6-12 years old depending on the card or account it was on. Credit Karma says its in the mid to upper 700s, but when the car dealership ran it, it was 817. I never bothered to check it until I considered a new vehicle, but now it makes more sense why my bank, Visa, Discover, and Mastercard are always offering me these insanely gigantic personal loan opportunities, and why my credit line is freaking huge on my Discover card... like $15k. XD I could seriously buy another car with it, but not at 18% interest.... XD
