  1. My PC came with a free month of Game Pass Ultimate. I decided to check out what I can play for free and found out how garbage the Xbox App for PC is. I downloaded Halo Infinite. The game wouldn't load. It would show the spartan insignia and then I'd just get a black screen. I never got to the title screen. Upon investigating this, its apparently a common issue. I tried all the "fixes" and uninstalled and re-installed the game twice. It never worked. So then I try to play The Ascent with a friend. The game worked fine solo, but we couldn't connection to each other. Again, I look it up and its once again.... a common issue. This time with no fix. We gave up and bought it on steam where it works without any issues. Needless to say, I'm cancelling Game Pass.

I'm not impressed with game pass for PC, but with the Ultimate, try the cloud gaming feature and see if you can play any xbox console exclusives on your PC. There might be something worth playing on that during the free month. But yeah, the pc game pass sucks.. try and access the free EA Access games, lol. You have to install the EA Access app, login to it with your game pass and access the EA games through that because they can't bother to have a single app to launch the games. -_-

I think its only worth it if you play alot of sports games or you have an Xbox console and a decent PC and alot of free time to play $15 worth of games a month.

  2. I never wanted to try to Souls game. The thought of being one shotted and having to start all over again from a single mistake always turned me off. I don't have as much time as I use to to "git gud". Fallen Order was the closest i ever played to a souls style game, but by the time you got force powers, the game became more like  inFAMOUS games than Souls. I got Elden Ring for whatever reason and honestly... I've been enjoying the hell out of it despite some soul crushing moments. I like the freedom, the exploration, finding good gear laying around without having to fight anything. Gear that will give you a fighting chance to get even better gear. You're not forced to fight any of the bosses in any particular order You can skip bosses to get to most of the world with exception of the last 2 areas. The purpose of beating bosses to to progress the story. So I've played in a way where I've gone to most the world. geared up as high as possible.. allowing me 1 fully upgraded legendary weapon.. and being able to have an easier time with the story bosses... then there are "optional" bosses that are just savage AF and HP sponges. XD I've beaten a few but some are just beyond my skill level. Either way, I highly recommend this game as a non souls fan. At the very least, its worth your money when it goes on discount sometime down the road.

  3. Quote

Quick take. Regardless of the final product. The BF2042 beta is so much better than BF5.

Good. I'll try the beta on Friday after work.

  4. Finished Gundam SEED tonight. As cliche as it could get, I still really enjoyed it. Mecha designs were above average.... and despite a lot of recycled animation during battles, I still found them engaging and entertaining... and all the love interests swapping around tickled my fancy. XD Character deaths were pretty brutal as well. Its def worth watching for the average fan. Better than Unicorn, but not IBO as far as recently watched Gundam series.

Brave words coming from a man knowing I'm lurking in the dark corners of this place XD

Meh, could never get into SEED. Outside some damn good Gundam designs (which to be honest most of the Gundam shows I hate have) the show is just trash (and I say this having only watched 5 episodes, I couldn't stomach the similarities between it and the original in the first five episodes (the beginning is damn near a copy of the beginning of the original Gundam, just with more flash and shittier characters)).

Each their own though, I learned a long time ago I'm just an old Gundam fan screaming at the sky about how in my day we didn't need all this flashy stuff to interest the masses. We just need old school storytelling, shitty animation, and a crotchety old Tomino-sensei to draw in the masses XD

Speaking of Unicorn I really need to get around to watching that.

When Netflix reveals the live action Gundam series. I hope the trailer opens up with Domon Kasshu asking "Do you know this man?" XD

Unicorn's man protagonist is the most annoying whiney bitch in the entire Gundam universe.

      Strider Hiryu

You might literally hear me scream if that happens (and it'll be directed at you) XD

Oh I could probably name a few that probably put him to shame but until I watch it I can't comment on his whineyness.

  5. A friend was able to score me a PS5 while I was at work today. I'm pretty pumped!

Yeah its pretty massive. I had to clear out a space in my entertainment console to put it as it wont go under on beside my TV. I gave it the biggest cove so it wont overheat.. but so far it doesn't seem to get very hot. At first it kinda smelled like burnt plastic the first hour... only when you get really close to it... I guess not burnt plastic but more like when you turn your heater on for the first time. The UI is crips and has zero lag like the PS4 when you try to move around too fast on it. The power saver options are nice as well as the conviencnes of it asking if you want to download all the major streaming apps during set up. Funi is the only thing I use since my SmartTV doesnt have that app, but still nice.

The controller had to be updated as well, Ill use a different controller tomorrow to see if I need to do it to all 3. At first I thought it was just on the console side but it told me not to unplug it from the PS5.

The dualsense is very nice. Its got good heft and the dynamic rumble is impressive so far. I haven't had any experiance with haptic feedback yet though.

The HD space is a joke.... I tell you that right now. I automatically downloaded playroom, with that, some stream apps, my save data. Spider-Man and COD Cold War. My SSD is already half full.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That hard drive space is the main reason I'm in no rush to get one. I read that the proprietary SSD expandable hard drive space is coming soon though. Did you get all those free PS+ games for owning a PS5 yet? Those should install an play off an external hard drive no problem. Another interesting thing my brother told me about his... he said you can take your PS4 external drive and connect it to the PS5, boot the PS5 and it will auto recognize all the installed games on it and set them up to play. And you can go into the UI and disconnect the external and plug it back into the PS4 and there won't be any issues. He was doing that for a bit until he got another external drive dedicated just for PS4 games to play on the PS5.

congrats. ^_^ i got my ps5 a couple days ago..FREE. bwhahah..my brother is moving away soon and he says with another child coming, he really doesnt have time anymore. i decided to give him my switch bc his is all messed up. anyway im still playing games on ps4 though. probably have to wait longer for more ps5 games to come out. we’ll see.

  6. While wholly unoriginal. The "final" season of Attack on Titan is brutally dark and amazing. The Titan's origins are explained... but we fall back on racism and xenophobia... Code Geass/Aldnoah.Zero style and every other anime that use it as a crutch. They literally are pulling and blending aspects of WWII German and Japanese culture. But it works. I've heard the final season won't cover to the end of the manga, which I suspected since there is way to much left.... but I also heard there will be a sequel series. I stopped reading the manga when I reached the end of where it was at the time... which is still probably after this anime ends. Is it the best ever? Nah... but for me its highly entertaining.... the anime pacing, seasonal wise was handled poorly due to the no use of fillers, but at the same time not waiting for the manga to get to a certain point. I've said it before, but season 2 shouldn't exist. It should have been parts of season 1 and 3. If you binge it now, it won't make a difference though since you didn't have to wait. Regardless, this series has some of the best high tension action sequences around... and the damn near best monologue I've ever seen on a show of any medium. I'll be interested to see where they call it for the end.

I rank this the best fucking dub performance of all time... I don't even like this character, but this scene made me respect him and the voice actor that fucking nailed it... which leads to the best action sequence by the best character of this series not contained in this clip.

Well I never saw all of season 2 yet. Sounds like it gets alot better. I need to get caught up on it.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Season 2 was awful because it was like something taken out of context. Season 3 is amazing and often forget it's split into two since there was a long break in the middle of it. Part 2's sequence of eps is where the pacing takes off and it hasn't stopped yet.

  7. Dr. Stone season 2 started... at least ep 1 of the dub is up. I adore this series so much. Its such a nerdgasm of an anime. Yeah its cheesy, and even a stretch on half the shit they do. But damn the first season was a blast and now that we're headed towards the Stone Wars. I can't wait to see where it goes.

  8. Did my taxes today. Got my biggest return I ever had. I found that interesting since everyone was trying to say all the stimulus checks were going to make it smaller. I also worked OT a lot this past year during the pandemic... to the tune of $11,000 extra to my base pay. XD

I had no idea menards only hired PT. That's some bullshit. My last 3 jobs I got from temp agencies. Those 3 companies I worked for all had a policy of exclusively hiring full time temps only because they could get full time employees without having to pay benefits and they could fire them for no reason if they wanted and have no repercussions from it. The temp agency could work ppl full time for 3 months before benefits would kick in. So either the job they get you hires you directly after 3 months or they let you go and the temp agency then has no job available and because the hours would drop from 40 to zero they wouldn't have to pay benefits either. It's a shitty system to, but maybe some temp agencies around you have some jobs available?

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

It's really the only way Menard's makes money. They can't really compete with Lowe's and Home Depot due to their limited reach (and shitty tools, they don't sell anything of quality) and the owners and big wigs are pretty shitty people all around. The only reason the one I work at does so well is the nearest Lowe's is an hour and a half away so most people don't want to drive that far to get actual, quality shit. I never thought I could hate a company more then I hated Walmart but Menards makes Walmart look like saints

Meh, the temp agency market here is pretty dried up atm due to the lack of jobs since, as noted, most of them rely heavily on the oil field (and the ones hiring are hiring in places I'd have to move to). I'm honestly at the point where I might just start looking elsewhere for a job since I'm sick of this city and only moved out here due to family issues. Sadly I can't afford  to get a place atm so it'll be really hard justifying a move with little money unless I find a job that pays quite a bit more (which is unlikely out here since this is the only part of the state where most jobs are willing to pay a living wage of $15 or more (and that's getting rarer now with the oil field being in shambles and most people moving out of the state and back home)). Plus with the issues that have cropped up recently (one of the reasons I've been awol) I can't really leave.

    4. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Damn that sucks. I hope Menards gets their shit together and gets you on full time soon.

  9. I got the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. Now that 5G is a thing, I felt it was time to get a true 5G phone. Plus the newest firmware update kind make the S10+ a little wacky. The weirdest thing is the standardization of all messaging apps. I kinda liked the facebook bubble chat heads... but now you have to activate it and it doesn't work like it use too. I turned it back off and its just like the standard SMS app with the previews and pop ups.

Unrelated but if you use Snapchat, it doesn't really update very well. I've had it since 2014, but only recently started using it because I got a lot of work friends on it. Little did I know it had its own sound package, but it always used my standard notification when people snapped me or typed a message. When some new features came out that wouldn't appear, I deleted it and reinstalled it. It has its own notification, including one for when your BFs snap you. When I transfered all my stuff to my new phone it reverted to using the standard phone notification so I had to delete it again and reinstall. so odd.

Anyways. The phone is big... and heavy. I like this... the ultra thin and lightweight phone thing needed to go. Shit still broke when it hit the ground. I like some heft in the hand. The screen is wild crisp. Its amazing how this tech keeps getting better. As a result the battery life is about the same. I think we peaked on that. While its bigger, so is the screen and all the features. The camera is a monster. I think its 100+ MP on the back and 40mp on the front. Its really detailed.

One of the complaints is the camera lenses make the phone uneven in the back so it will rock on the table.. I got a casemate for mine. They've always been good to me with there ultra sleek designs that don't add too much more bulk to phones. Thankfully my case evens out the backside so it sits normal. The extra millimeter this adds to the overall thickness is again welcomed IMO. I also like how the samsung transfer app basically duped my old phone into my new one. home screen, app layout, alarms, wifi connections, etc. The only thing that didn't come over where my biometric log ins to all my sites. Also my wireless charge stand works which is a plus since I use it as a bedside clock.

I contemplated the iPhone 12 Pro Max because most my friends have iPhone and their iMessage app now has reactions like FB messenger does. So when they use it it sends the whole text back with the "laughs at.... (novel of a text)". but Honestly I have so much invested into the Samsung ecosystem... plus I'm spoiled with my 5x5 app grid layout that Apple refuses to allow. 4 across is lame. Samsung makes better phones, and sells components to Apple anyways. I'll be riding this train until Apple can bring out something that really blows me away.

The s21 looks great. I'm happy with samsung phones. I love my s20 fe. I haven't tried that brand of case before but Supcase makes a great case and is easily on par with otterbox. I've seen the apple user reaction thing plenty of times. It's so stupid. I hope sms apps do an update to turn a block of text like that into an emoji instead.

Its not ultimate protection, but its all I ever need. I don't drop phones... ever. I've only ever cracked one screen and it was my S10+ when I braced a heavy pallet on my leg where it was in my pocket. Its one of those just in case things.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That looks good. BTW the camera in your phone is better than mine and I can take pics of the moon with it. Lol. Try zooming in at least 30x on the moon and tap on it. It'll auto focus amazingly well.

I think the cooling system/fans are broke. It came back on a few days later and I played for a few hours and streamed some.. but tonight I let YT run for 2-3 hours and started playing a game and it cut off on me again. I guess I'll have to limit my playing time until I get a PS5. I'm not paying to fix it or get a new PS4.

my brother lend me ps5 for a week back in jan. mostly i played ghost of tsushima but it had sound glitch. it goes mute every 30 mins or so while playing. this is my game that played flawlessly with my ps4. im still not that eager to buy one if its available and maybe its too soon to tell but my brother is now convinced ps5 is not much better than ps4.

    4. Sledgstone

@DeathscytheX I had dust build up in my PS4 pretty bad a few years ago, I used a can of compressed air and a vacuum to blow and suck all the dust out. It really did seem to help the air flow.

@slippers My brother has a ps5, he seems to really like it, but I don't hear him raving about how amazing it is like when the ps4 came out compared to the ps3. I think its still too early and theres not enough games out yet that really take advantage of the hardware. I guess one good thing is that it can play these ps4 games. I remember when the ps4 came out the only game I really played on it for that first year was battlefield 4. With no backwards compatibility my ps4 sat for months without use and got dusty.

  11. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is on Netflix dubbed. There was so much hype around this series when it was on simulcast. I really enjoyed it. The animation is well done, especially for the fights. A lot of action and gore with a little light hearted comedy. Its worth a watch.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

One of the best damn shows of it's season and definitely can't wait for the movie to come state side since I hear it's just as amazing (giving ufotable a movie budget is nuts, I can only imagine what they did with it). Really hoping we get a second season and seeing how well the movie did in Japan I have really high hopes it will. Another bonus is the manga is done so we won't have to wait if they do decide to adapt the whole thing (though I hear the ending isn't exactly great).

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I finished watching Demon Slayer over the weekend. Great anime. :D Maybe its just me but I felt like it got alot of inspiration from Anne Rice's vampire novels with the power of the demon blood. And with 1 original demon with the most powerful blood of them all, it was like he was the equivalent of the Queen of the Damned. Really good series. I love that it time skipped around too and there was nothing that felt like filler. I hope a second season happens.

  12. As someone that studied Nazi history extensively. The Man in the High Castle is a fascinating show on Prime Video. I was expecting it to be fully about what would happen if America and Britain lost the war, but its more about the multiverse... so its like alternate history and quantum leap combined? I definitely recommend  despite its slow start for non-history majors.

  13. I got a promotion with my job yesterday. I'll now be making more than I ever have doing this. $60k a year to do something I barely got paid $35k for at my previous company. The best news is that I'll have Saturdays off, and get off by 6-7pm on most days. I don't have to go to bed like some retiree anymore. So hopefully by the end of this year. Battlefield 6 will be out... it will be good... and maybe we can get the band back together @Sledgstone and @Strider Hiryu. Even though Strider is PC master race. I'm sure it'll have cross play. My gaming life has really suffered these past 3 years.

I did the same. $4 every week for the last 3 weeks until someone won. Lol. I would have loved having that money.

  14. I marathoned Breaking Bad over the last 2 weeks. I really enjoyed it. But it had one of my least favorite cliches.... and that's when there are two characters, and they're never in sync with each other. One is always on the up while the other fucks it up. Walter and Jesse just couldn't keep it together at the same time the whole series. Saul Goodman was such a good character I marathoned what Netflix had of Better Call Saul after that. Kinda slow at times, and not what I was expecting.. but still a good watch as well.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Breaking bad was really good, some of the best acting I've seen in a series. But I never was interested in Better Call Saul so I skipped on that show.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

He would def have to be one of your favorite characters for you to be into the show. It was nothing like I thought it was going to be. I was expecting it to be about more of his illegal antics outside of Walter and Jesse, but its more a prequel of how he became Saul Goodman. He still has a sense of morality and feels bad when he does shady stuff. Its more about a reject getting his way though the world than a crime drama.

Yea that was a pretty emotional episode (not going to lie though, I had to go look up what it was about it since it's been awhile). Be prepared for more, this season really cranked up the water works and drama (the delicious, juicy drama (yea I'm a drama whore)). Can't wait to see your thoughts as you get further along (by far the best of the two seasons (which with how spectacular the first was says a lot)).

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Dammit Sledge marathon this shit! Just finished season two... holy shit at that reveal at the end. I wasn't expecting that at all. Akito makes a little more sense to me now. Kureno needs to get his fucking act together and see what he has right in front of him. Ugh, I need season 3! I want to dive more into Rin's character!

    4. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Told you it was awesome. All that juicy drama and that reveal was just icing on top of the drama cake. Was really nice to see how Kyo's character is evolving and how Yuki is finally growing into his own. Really can't wait to see this all come together in the end (I know how the manga ends and have never read it so I really look forward to the anime's climax).

My only complaint was how little they dived into Rin's character but as far as I've read this adaptation is following the manga almost word for word with minor changes so we should hopefully get more Rin character development next season (just don't know if I can wait that long).

  16. Haven't been on much, posting much, replying much lately. Lots of things going on in my life. About 12 years or so ago I moved out for the first time with a friend. I wasn't making any more than $11 an hour but I just wanted to live the bachelor life. Needless to say, I didn't make enough to support my lifestyle. I swiped the credit card for groceries, dates, emergencies, etc all to make rent/power. I got myself into about $30k in credit card debt. Eventually I had to move back in with my parents. I spent the last decade paying all my mistakes off and saving up thanks to my old company shutting my store down and me getting into a better company that pays significantly better.

I signed a lease today on my own place. This will be my first time I'm truly living on my own. I kinda sorta did the first go since my roommate was never home... but its all me this time. found a nice little 1br apt and will be moving in over the next several days. I shouldn't miss too much as I have AT&T Fiber Optic internet being installed the day of move in. 1000mbps FTW! I'm really pumped about it. Hopefully soon I'll be back to posting nonsensical YT videos on various topics. lol

Same with me. I tried playing Injustice last week... I couldn't get past the tutorial ten minutes in. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The whole thing is so complex now. You have the traditional weak to strong punches and kicks. and now there is these V-moves, and throws, counter throws. The timing is way more precise because the jumps feel so short. I really didn't enjoy it. I still like games like Smash Bros because of its simplicity in move sets but depth because of it. But I guess just moving two sticks around and mashing shoulder buttons atrophied my gaming muscles from the SNES/Genesis days. I use to have a callus on my thumb from fighting games.

Competitive gaming really sucked the fun out of the fighting genre for me... much like it has the FPS scene.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I loved street fighter 2 back in the day. I had that callus to. XD if street fighter V sounds overly complex like Injustice. My hands aren't what they used to be and my controller is 5 years old and sucks. XD competitive gamers can have the genre I guess.. onto one of my other 200 games in my back log. XD

I do like smash bros but last one if those I played was on gamecube. I bet the more recent one costs a thousand dollars to buy all the characters via DLC. That in itself sucks the fun out of all the fighting games to.

  18. Cellular service has become more shit the more advance the technology has become. I went through Hurricane Ivan and Katrina.. both Cat 4-5 storms with extreme wind damage and didn't have any loss of service the entire time, even with the power off for a week. Sally rolls through almost 2 decades later as a cat 2 hurricane and cellular service is unreliable for many people in my area. I wish SMS could work off WIFI like calls can, because having to rely on some shit tower that might be too far off or isn't operational is irritating.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I hate SMS never using wifi. I downloaded google messages app and use it as my sms program because it's supposed to work over wifi when cell service isn't available. It should technically work but it's completely unreliable imo. I had wifi calling on all the time under the advanced calling setting but it would never make the call over wifi because I always had 1 crap 3g bar of connection that it would default to. And there is no way to force the phone to use wifi for calling and texting by default. So wherever I was home I'd have the wifi calling turned on and I'd have to turn my phone onto airplane mode to force the phone to disconnect from cell service so wifi calling and texting would work. I was able to make calls and get text in airplane mode but after a week of doing that I had people tell me they called and it would sometimes go straight to voicemail or I'd get a text a day late or not at all. Eventually I got that femtocell from Verizon to give me full bars of service inside my house over my internet. I have seen tho that it has dropped coverage once when verizon had a service outage. I guess when their service goes completely down it's not just a cell tower issue because my femtocell directly connects to Verizon servers over the internet.

Google messages stating it'll work over wifi:

You can try downloading it, turn on wifi calling and then switch to airplane mode and see if it works? But airplane mode sucks and might silent alarms, etc.

I just realized that pic says google fi help. Ehh. I don't think that makes a difference because I remember getting texts over my phone in airplane mode. Maybe some android OS updates has made it more reliable than when I used it like that.

  19. I've lost a lot of interest in Anime recently with the COVID stuff. With the dubs at a crawl, I haven't consumed anywhere near as much stuff or kept up with it. the Fire Force dub is only on ep 3... and I finally got current with Fruits Basket Season 2 yesterday. (My god the feels are about to explode it seems). I also lost interest in mobile games... just one day I just stopped playing AL and Arknights. They started becoming a chore that I felt I had to play, and in the end it just wasn't enjoyable anymore I guess. I've lost interest in a lot of stuff recently, and regained interest in other areas. I guess its just a part of getting old. I ordered TWD Compendium 4, So I'll be reading that tomorrow to get ahead of the TV show again. Other than that I just really sit around, drink coffee and watch science videos on YT. I guess that's what I'm content with now these days. XD

The last mobile game I played was Snoopy Pop. XD But my phone sucks and games load too slow most of the time. That along with me taking videos of my dogs doing cute stuff I'm always running out of space.. then I delete a game to take more videos of my dogs. XD

    3. Strider Hiryu

Don't really blame you any. I go through periods where I don't touch the ones I play for months except for doing the bare minimum (logging in for daily credit, "chore mode" if you will). Then again I don't really dedicate any time to playing them, I just jump on them when I have a free moment like when I'm waiting to go to work in the morning or when I'm just bored and don't want to do anything that will require more then a few moments to play (like waiting in queues on FFXIV).

As I always say mobile games aren't for everyone. Most people either get super addicted to them or they grow bored with them in a short amount of time. You'd be surprised how many mobile games I've played and dropped (it's sad really, last time I looked at my google play history I was honestly surprised by how many I've played and dropped over the years) due to lack of interest/time/boredom. Quite honestly I'm ready to do a purge again of games I play sparingly because at the moment I currently play 13 (some more then others but 13 all together) and it's getting a little too time consuming keeping up with chore mode (about a half an hour in the morning and an hour plus in the evening (mostly AL due to the Bismarck event)). I wouldn't say I'm addicted but I do admit that it does become somewhat of an obsession after awhile if you let it.

On the SR Bulins, I've never had any real trouble getting them (in fact I have like 4 currently that I have no use for since the two ships I currently have sitting in the dorm are already fully limit broken). Then again I don't hit the leveling and limit breaking hardcore either. I focus only on the ships I want up and I'm in no hurry for it. I also don't take anything serious in the game except events. PVP for me is just a leveling resource, could care less about anything else (well I shouldn't say that but I can't take it seriously when I can't get past Captain because a lot of the players on my server are powerhouses that keep me in the mid to high 4000's and I don't have the time to watch my PVP tries to get more then 10 chances a day). It's just a fun way to pass the time while collecting ship waifu's and arguing with other people who the best one is (Laffy, it's always Laffy. Yea, I might have an unhealthy obsession with her (I might need help)).

XD I honestly don't know how to react to that Sledge. Then again my mother does the same thing on her phone with her dog so I kinda get it.

  20. Playing through MW2's campaign again, I forgot how many batshit crazy watershed moments there were. XD  Like MW1 was way more grounded in reality. Both are great but MW2's campaign is like an 80's action movie at times. My heart still raced stealthing through the snow and hijacking the snow mobiles near the start. running through the favela tops, escaping the gulag. Its pretty fun experiencing it all again 10 years later with slightly better visuals. I'm glad it's this month's free game.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Meh, I never really liked the campaign to MW2 so I didn't bother downloading it (plus lets get something more meaty Sony, the last few freebies were rather meh). I'll agree it's batshit crazy and there are a few standout moments but MW1's campaign was so much better for me. It's most likely because my favorite mission in any CoD campaign is All Ghillied Up. Such a wonderfully crafted mission (and fucking difficult as all hell on Veteran).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

MW1 was def the best, but MW2 was just fun, and MW3 was kinda brutal. I hated MW3 with a passion for the MP, but I'd still replay the campaign.

  21. Now that the state of Mississippi has opted into the lottery, I can take a 15 min drive across the state line to a little gas station and buy tickets. Its astonishing how my state just refuses to even let us vote on it. People take their money to FL and GA for lotto tickets, and now the state we share out biggest border has it... on top of that most of the population is on the west side of the state anyways making it even easier. XD So dumb. I'm just glad I don't have to drive an hour plus to get tickets anymore. I can now make a weekly trip and try my luck.

I'd probably hit that $20 ticket every now and then. The scratchoffs seem to be a waste. Like cool you can win $500? Fuck that, I want the $100 million. XD The MS lotto website actually has the prizes left on all the scratch offs and most of the big ones are gone. Seems like an odd choice, I'd assume no one would buy any of them anymore when all the big prizes are dried up.

The most lax alcohol laws are in New Orleans. There is a bar at every street corner, and you can just walk around the whole city with a open container. I remember the first time visiting as an adult, I stopped at a gas station and they basically had fifths of every mainstream bourbon behind the counter. XD You could fill up and get a bottle in one stop.

There's only 2 things to do in New Orleans. Eat and Drink. XD Yeah they got a zoo and aquarium... and the WW2 Museum. But the majority of the city is restaurants and bars.

  22. @Strider Hiryu PR3 Ships incoming and two are Iron Blood!

Oof, I guess I'll have to throw what little I have in the dorm to be able to farm XP on later levels. 😭

OMG they even laxed the XP grind. Now its just Vanguard or Main fleet requirements instead of specific ship types.

  23. Wearing a mask with glasses sucks. I've been using neck gaiters, but when you were anything that has to go around your ears it makes your glasses lose grip. I'm going to get a new Rx on contacts Monday. I stopped wearing them about 2 years ago becasue I couldn't wear them a whole day without my eyes getting irritated. I just need them for 8-10 hours tho, just to get through work.

    1. slippers

      slippers

i also have glasses on so a face mask will pull my ears down, gives me a headache. so i wear a bandana instead. i tie it very loose around my neck and pull it up when needed. comfortable than other stuff i tried on. but what bugs me is most ppl wear it incorrectly anyway. eventually no one can breathe with that face mask thing on for that long. most ppl either cover their mouth only so they can breathe thru their nose, or pull it all the way down to their chin so they can talk on a phone. seen so many ppl doing that while working or out shopping. defeats the whole purpose of wearing a mask.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lady made us masks when NY forced us all to wear them. All the fabric stores at the time were all instantly out of stock of alot of fabric and elastic. So she made our masks using pipe cleaners for the ears. That way it's adjustable and it doesn't pull like elastic. My problem is wearing glasses because they fog up. So even with an extra piece in the nose to tighten it up I have to have some air gaps on the side of the mask so it doesn't fog my glasses. It's not 100% effective like that but it's still helping and will catch the majority of the air droplets coming out of my nose and mouth so I'm doing my part in not spreading anything. I will say tho, wearing one all day for work would be a pain in the ass.

  24. Watched Parasyte on Netflix. Overall an entertaining watch. Pretty violent, but the story and the ending fell a little short for me. Some of the characters got killed off too quickly. Feels like one of those series that could have been 2-3 seasons but they were worried they wouldn't get renewed and tried to shove it all into one.

  25. My Mobile game spending habits have been pretty tame. I'll drop a few dollars on Arknights banners now and then. Azur Lane, I have it to a science to generally go into events with 100+ cubes to get everything. But lets face it. Azur Lane makes it's money off skins... and the best way to get skins is to make it easy to get the ships. Arknight's skins are mad expensive, and I only found out last week that the Siege one I really want is gonna be free with Contingency Contract coming up! Other than that, they don't do much for me as the E2 art looks amazing as is... and I'm the only one that gets to see them so I can't flex.

Azur Lane tho I can flex with my defense fleet in PvP. XD Plus you can have multiple secretaries grace your home page at random. Being a man of culture, I can appreciate all the fan service bikini skins they throw out there... but it ain't for me. The in game chibis have to look just as good as the secretary full art to get my money. That being said... they just had to bring out a bunch of black dress skins.... and FINALLY Enterprise gets a skin that's not prudishly modest. INSTAPURCHASE! I went to town on the Qipao skins a few months ago. I'll probably buy most of these as well. I'll buy skins for characters I don't have yet if the art is good and the in game model looks cool. (I'm so glad I bought that Taihou L2D qipao now that I have her XD)

Interesting, the open world concept sounds fun so I really hope it's implemented well. This new update might actually get me playing a lot more than I currently do (will also mean I'm going to have to step my research game way up to get those anti-siren ships built (curse you Izumo for not being done yet). Really want to get my hands on Azuma). Also look at that Unicorn Oath skin, so fucking adorable. Going to have to start using Uni a lot more so I can oath her (good thing she's my secondary carrier for my RN fleet).

I was using PVP to level but as I said I just got to bored doing it and I don't need to do it for SR Bulins (I've got those coming out of my ears, don't know what to do with them all). Should really do it more so I can get Eldridge but just can't bring myself to do it unless an event mission requires it.

Yeah, for some reason the game just likes handing me SE ships left and right (except Nagato, so pissed I didn't get her during her event) but won't give me shit for RN or IB. As I said not complaining as I love the SE ships but I really want to build up a killer IB fleet. I think I'm only missing like 30 or so SE ships (I know I'm missing 10 SR's and have most of the Rares and Normals (missing like 5 normals I think). Not to sure how many epics I'm missing). Most of what I am missing is event only though so it'll be awhile before I get those (most of the Epics I'm missing are chapter related (like Hiryuu and Souryuu, some reason the game decided I didn't deserve them when I was doing the story)).

Also can I just point out how fucking cute Little Illustrious is. God what a fucking great addition to the game. I also didn't know there was a Little Bel either and after seeing her I must spend all my cubes to get her. Man, Yostar out here playing a dangerous game with these adorable mini version ships (I really want Akagi-chan but gold is becoming a slight issue lately with me increasing level caps and this event (thankfully I got the last event ship I needed today so goodbye cubes, Strider wants his Akagi-chan)).

Ugh I'm missing L'Opiniatre, damn wishing well running at the same time. I'm trying to get U-81. I got Albacore from the merit shop already. I know subs aren't really important right now, but I still want them and want to get them leveled and geared. 2 missions a week is kinda wack. At least I got Centaur. Lets not get started on Azuma. I have her Qipao L2D for one day... (LOL I did my last hurrah 10 pull with 12 cubes left and got L'Opiniatre... I'm tellin' ya, if I cry and whine about it here, I get it on my next pull almost every time. XD)

Little Illustrious is super cute, so is Little Renown. I guess I missed Lil' Bel tho. The PvP thing is kinda a chore. I try to log in the 3 or so times a day so I only have to do 5 runs at a time. I kinda wish the shop had better rewards... you know like purple parts to upgrade gear. The Sandy retrofit event should be coming up soon... I wish it was Warspite but Sandy is the best AA ship in the game at full retro. I hear you need strong AA for world 12, but I'm sure it will come in handy for the new stuff. (plus i just want a rainbow tier ship just to say I have one.) Speaking of cuteness though, I think Unicorn tops my list (in the anime and game). I bought that big date skin since its the only one I could get that didn't cover half her cute little face. On top of that shes so good. I think I prefer her over Illustrious as far as her special talent goes. I've had her heal my vanguard back to half health from red repair sign status. Lusty is one of my top Waifu's tho so yeah. XD

I just sorted by IB and holy cow its sparse. Prinz is my only SR. Z23, Z1, and Admiral Hipper µ are my only Elite. Leipzig is my only rare, and I have 3 normals. This is whats stopping me from trying any IB PR ships because I'd have to grind the shit out of low worlds with what I have to gain the XP. I'm currently working on Neptune since I mainly use RN light and heavy cruisers for her 3 million XP requirement.

Uuuhhh. Vice Admiral. I want Admiral of the Navy just one time! Its all based on luck tho. I've been getting lucky on that right most slot not having Warspite. XD still a few days left for me to get wrecked. I've already lost more than 3 matches too which I think you can only lose 2 or 3 to get it. No way I don't lose a few more times.
