    Gah, new patch for FFXIV today and now I need to go grind new gear yet again for my Monk. /sigh, here goes 3 weeks of my life again

      Sadly no, FFXIV is one of the few pay-to-play games left. Nothing F2P about it. It's the same old MMO formula sadly, do this for better gear so you can do that. I don't really need the gear as I don't do endgame but people get pissy when you have sub-par gear while running daily stuff. I honestly wonder why I play these damn games anymore.

      Ah. I really like guild wars 2 setup. One time fee to buy the game. No monthly fee but the is f2p elements for ppl to buy upgrade dig and cosmetic improvements. But the game is fully beatable without paying any thing extra.
