"Predator" franchise re-make

For Fox, Rodriguez has scripted "Predators," a film that will bring back the dreadlock-sporting alien hunter who originated in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger hit "Predator." While a sequel didn't become a hit, Fox kept the alien sharp by launching the "Alien Vs. Predator," a wildly profitable series that has racked up strong grosses and DVD sales, wit little or no gross out the door.

I thought the first Predator movie was good.

The first Predator was BADASS to the max. It's among my favorite creature movies, the feel, the music theme, the old school feel, Arnold - everything worked in this flick.

I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.

So, several years ago, Hideaki Anno decided to remake Evangelion into four films. I didn't know this until today, with three films out and no idea when the final one is. I gotta say, I've got mixed feelings. I mean, the idea behind it and first about half of the series was really good, despite Shinji's whineyness. But it just ended in a bad mind-fuck which kinda leaves a bad impression overall. I'm curious if anyone has seen the first three and can tell if it's heading in the same direction, or if they cut down the religious overtones and soap-opera drama somewhat, or at least didn't leave you going 'what the fuck?' at the screen every ten minutes or so.

I can't help but hear "All along the watchtower" along with seeing giant robots and not conclude that the Cylons are now allies of the Nazis. Still, I loved Wolfenstein when I was a kid. This is a remake thats been overdue for quite some time now.

In a not too surprising announcement, Paramount Pictures has confirmed today that Shia Labeouf will be joining the cast of TMNT in the role of Casey Jones. He will play opposite of Megan Fox (April O'Neil).
For those unfamiliar with TMNT, Casey Jones wears a hockey mask and cut-off biking gloves and carries his weapons in a golf bag over his shoulder. His weapons include baseball bats, golf clubs, cricket bats, and hockey sticks. He is a master of stealth, as he has never been caught by the NYPD despite his bizarre appearance. In most installments, he appears as a love interest for April O'Neil.
Along with producer Michael Bay, this will mark the first time all three have worked together on a movie since Transformers 2.
As for me, I have no interest in watching this abomination. These 3 individuals will not be happy unless they have ruined every aspect of my childhood.
