converting swf to video ARUGH!

Recommended Posts

Ok, here's the deal. I'm making a flash animation. Fine. Got the frames done so it works. Good. The problem is, the .swf file will change framerate based on browser and computer. Not good. So I want to convert it to a video, even though the quality will be a little less. However, I can't find a decent converter that doesn't screw up the final quality. I'm guessing it has to do with the final encoding, but no matter what I do, it always messes it up. I've updated all my codecs and players, and can't find one that actually works. So, any suggestions?

well, it's a full animation with sound. Of course it's going to be big. I pared down the frames as much as possible, and it's only a couple of looped frames, but it's still not going to be a small file.
