Assassin's Creed - Trailer

Recommended Posts

I played some of the first game and it wasnt for me. but I can tell you that the big mechanical arm isn't in the game. I predict a Resident Evil approach to the movie making.... basically people that enjoy shit movies will go see it and people that are fans the game will hate it.

Besides the shit music choice that trailer was pretty sick. Being a fan of the series and having played all the primary games in the franchise (with the exception of Unity and Syndicate, 2 and 4 are the best games in this series (Ezio and Edward are two of the best characters to come from this entire series)) I'm seriously looking forward to the movie (though I wish they would of used the Spanish Inquisition for the games, that'd be a great time to set one of the games).

There is, honestly, no way they can fuck this movie up to any extent as the games (after 3) are only loosely tied together (I know it's a spoiler but if you don't plan on playing the games Desmond dies at the end of 3 so it's generally a new real world protagonist now with every game). The new Animus is a little weird but like Elliot from ETC News said (youtube channel, suggest checking them out) they might be going for the VR feel with this new animus (and honestly who wants to watch a movie with a guy lying on a bed for the majority of it when they cut to real world scenes). Outside of that all the basics are there with Abstergo (Templar front) kidnapping an unsuspecting victim, random protagonist being used for his ancestor's memories (who happens to be an assassin) to find what we presume is a Piece of Eden, and a romp down memory lane watching Assassins and Templars kill each other in a historical setting while searching for said Piece of Eden. Sure they may fuck up, it's a movie adaptation of a game, but for now I think this might be the game movie we deserved back in the day when we were getting those shit adaptations.

It was a fun movie, they didn't stay true to the games at all with most of the plot coming from the fourth game but overall it was good special effects and kept a good pace with plenty of action. Although it did feel toned down with gun fights considering the amount of shooting takes place in the games. I'm guessing they did that to keep the rating family friendly. Tom Holland still looked way too young for the role imo.

Very interesting. Spider-man, Doctor Strange and the multiverse. This should be a fun movie.

I wasn't that interested in this movie because its based in the past, but now that I've been sucked into Battlefield 1, this movie looks amazing. I know DICE likes to put easter eggs in their games so I wonder if we'll see an amazon warrior reference somewhere in a future dlc. On a side note, I thought we had a Wonder Woman topic already for the teaser trailer, but I didn't see one.

Awesome movie. I watched it a couple days ago. One of the best movies of 2020 for me. Very fun, energetic, great CGI and the monsters were all pretty damn cool and unique.

The Disney princess part at the end is great. I loved the first movie.
