  1. The series premiered with it's opening movie last night and I was impressed. I had lower expectations for this show and thought it would be another clone wars series, but instead it was quite a bit different. The scene changes and flow of the series is very different. I would have preferred a different animation style, but its good for what it is. Star Wars Rebels takes place shortly after the fall of the Jedi that happened in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Here is the best part though.. this series seems to be very inspired by KOTOR. Source: ICv2 This post has been promoted to an article
  2. https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-remake-rumored-to-be-in-development-at-ea A remake could be good if it's done right. But those games were so huge it'd be a bigger task than remaking Final Fantasy 7. Meanwhile I still haven't played the second KOTOR game.
  3. . I personally would love to see a KOTOR 3 done on Mass Effects engine.
  4. Electronic Arts has signed a deal with Walt Disney to be the the exclusive publisher of Star Wars games. The deal comes off the heels of Disney's decision to shut down LucasArts. Both DICE and Visceral will make new Star Wars games, while BioWare will continue to produce titles for the genre. EA refused to comment if they would pick up Star Wars 1313 or First Assault which were all but dead projects with the former studio closing shop, but this move should excite fans with the possibility of a Star Wars themed Battlefield and the possibility of KOTOR3. Checkout Kotaku for more: http://kotaku.com/ea...games-493178983. I personally would love to see a KOTOR 3 done on the Mass Effect engine. Click here to view the article
  5. Here is the newest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!!!
  6. Ah, the return of practical effects! It's nice it's mixed in with CGI. The whistle of the X-Wing thrusters is a welcome return. I heard an imperial drone before the first scene cut off as well. Say what you want about JJ Abrams. With Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark) back on board, I have high hopes this is going to be amazing!

  8. Sounds like a good title to me. The movie is going to pick up right where the last movie ended. http://www.starwars.com/news/the-official-title-for-star-wars-episode-viii-revealed
  9. All I want is a solid Star Wars campaign based game. I hope respawn can do it justice. Sources: http://www.ea.com/news/the-force-is-strong-with-respawn-entertainment http://www.respawn.com/stig-blog/
  10. Holy crap. Thrawn is officially part of the new Star Wars canon. And there will be a new Thrawn novel. I'm so happy. This obviously means the Chiss are canon now as well. I need this book. Hell, I might even have to watch Star Wars Rebels now. http://io9.gizmodo.com/grand-admiral-thrawn-joins-rebels-and-the-new-star-wars-1783779089
  11. Maybe he'll be a good Han Solo. I still have the old Han Solo Trilogy of books in my head so it'll be a hard watch for me since all that canon will be thrown out the window. Source: http://deadline.com/2016/05/star-wars-han-solo-movie-alden-ehrenreich-frontrunner-cast-1201737425/

  13. I'm very pleased this series will finally be on Netflix so I can watch it from the beginning. I know it starts off as more of a kid friendly show, but I've seen some episodes from season 5 and this is definitely a series I want to watch. Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be on Netflix on March 7, 2014.

  15. I initially started this off as a status update: http://www.ancientclan.com/statuses/user/1-sledgstone/?status_id=552 I didn't realize this game was going to be as big as it is. I got the hang of the game play and I'm now 17 hours into the game. I think I accomplished everything I could do on Taris.. I rescued Bastila after doing a swoop race for the Hidden Bek team, I killed 2 bounties and saved the rest, I got the rakghoul serum, gave it to the doctor, got a new version of it, saved 2 people in the lower city and saved a republic solder with the serum also, just to have the guy run off and get killed by rakghouls anyway. I found all the journals and helped the lower city residents on their quest to the promised land.. Did anyone pay that ridiculous $2000 credits for the droid? I was able to persuade her to give it to me for free.. I escaped off Taris after killing Davik and we stole the Ebon Hawk. Thats a nice looking ship.. but now the surface of Taris has been destroyed! wth.. Its as if everything I accomplished there was wiped out. With the only benefit of my exploits being the few team members I brought with me, my light points and hopefully the attack didn't pierce thru to the lower city and those poor bastards finally made it to the promise land. I killed Bendark Starkiller on my first try. That guy was leaps and bounds over the other duelists. I lobbed half my grenades at the guy, used all my medpacks and then bum rushed him with my dual swords. Right now I'm at the Jedi council on Dantooine and I'm about to have a meeting with them about training me to be a jedi. This game is huge. Anyone know how long the jedi training stuff will take? Is Dantooine as big as Taris? Will I be on this planet for another 17 hours?
  16. Check out the trailer to the upcoming 8 issue series of The Star Wars. The comic will be adapted from George Lucas' original 1st draft of Star Wars. The characters are vastly different from Luke being older than Anakin to Han Solo being a lizard man. It should be an interesting read. Fans that hate the newer films, and the updates to the older trilogy can hope that this 1st draft will be the most amazing thing he's ever made before he started editing it into what it was!

  20. Disney has announced that it will be laying off 150 employees and closing the doors to its newly acquired gaming studio LucasArts. The decision was based on Disney's desire to licenses rights out to external developers to avoid the burden of failed projects. The games StarWars 1313 and First Assault have been cancelled and are assumed to all but dead. Disney has claimed that efforts to pitch 1313 to other developers have failed.

  22. With all of Lucasart's game projects on hold while the company sorts out its new Disney owners, games like 1313 and a rumored new Battlefront 3 could be on the chopping block. It would seem that some of Lucasart's developers are intentionally leaking images and footage of an FPS that was suppose to be downloadable for XBL Arcade. Star Wars: First Assault looks like a Halo/COD mash up with a Star Wars skin. The game is suppose to feature 8 on 8 battles with Storm Troopers vs. Rebel Fighters. With its future in limbo there is no doubt this move is to gauge interest. There is also talk that the game's sales were going to determine if there would be a Battlefront 3. Check out the brief footage above. http://kotaku.com/5990366/leaked-footage-of-star-wars-newest-take-on-battlefield-and-call-of-duty Screen shots: http://kotaku.com/5990147/more-leaked-screenshots-from-star-wars-first-assault-show-a-glorious-cloud-city (Update) Video removed by Lucasfilms. New video up while it lasts.

  24. According to El Mayimbe over at Latino Review (via Ain't it cool news), Harrison Ford will be reprising his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movies! According to El Mayimbe, he is to return as Han Solo in the upcoming movies and that is plural! This news implies that the new movies will take place years after the original trilogy and possibly focus on Han and Leia's jedi children. Seeing as Harrison Ford is 70 years old, I'm assuming his adult children will be played by actors in their 30s. Whether or not Disney/Lucasfilms will base any of these movies off the novels is still up in the air, but if they did, then they might take place after the The New Jedi Order series. Of course there is always a possibility that Harrison Ford could reprise his role as a young Han Solo thanks to Lucasfilm's CGI team, but as a voice actor I don't see that happening. Harrison Ford sounds noticeably different now compared to his earlier years, so it looks like he will play his older self in the new movies.
