Looks like the follow up prequel series that should have been made to begin with is going to finally get made.. but with the craptacular show known as Caprica shitting up the franchise will anyone give a damn at this point? I'll watch it, but if they do mid-season finales and make 3 seasons over the course of 5 years, then to hell with it.

I've always liked Eureka. I was a bit irritated with the direction of the newest season with the time travel change up, but I've gotten used to it and I've always looked forward to a new ep of Eureka. I think SyFy is just pissed because they actually have a scifi series that still good. They probably needed to cancel Eureka to pay for more WWE wrestling.

Sanctuary is on tonight. It looks like it'll be the conclusion to the Big Bertha story line. Anyone else remember the Indian dance at the end of the last season? The dance was cool, but it was so funny because he was a raving lunatic dancing in the street. X'D [ame] [/ame]

Anyone else watching Haven on the syfy channel? I'm really hooked on the show now. Its one of the better scifi-ish shows I've seen in a while. The last episode was about a body snatcher with the main group of people stuck on an island. Plot twists and people randomly getting killed off.. I was impressed with the episode.

Anyone watching this series? I think this second season isn't going anywhere atm. It looks like the first couple episodes were used to write out a couple characters and bring in a couple new ones. Which was fine, but so far this season has not felt anything like the previous season. Heres my current beefs with this season so far: - I was also annoyed with the first episode of season 2.. there was a pointless car chase scene that was nothing more than constant camera shots of an in episode bmw commercial After the third time of showing the logo, it was just way too much. - The scene transitions they use now look horrible and comic book styled. - I'm glad they fixed Ashley's bangs, but then I noticed her forehead was huge... oh well, shes gone now. X'D - The organization's weapon x program seemed like a rip off from the recent wolverine movie and what they turned Deadpool into. - I know watch this on a HD television... and holy crap everything looks like blue screen. I know its made in a blue screen fashion, but on a SD television its much more impressive. What I like so far: - Ashley is dead. yay. Her character seemed all bubbly/blonde and out of place. - The new girl should fit in much better, imo. - The acting seems better. - Whatshisface's hair reminds me of anime hair. X'D

Ghost Hunters starts at 7pm and Ghost Adventures starts at 8pm. I'll probably watch Ghost Adventures this year, because the last halloween I watched some of the Ghost Hunters live show only to be disappointed with random people cameos, interviews, other haunted location information, blah, blah. It felt like they were trying to turn it into a full blown special as opposed to an actual live investigation. And what I hated more than anything was the constant background music during the live investigation. Whenever anyone said: "oh, did you hear that!?" No I f*cking didn't because you have music playing. So I'll primarily watch Ghost Adventures live and see how they do things. I'd much rather watch a constant investigation with no background music or random crap that has nothing to do with the investigation. Of course, I'll switch back and forth on commercials tho. Hopefully, the GH team will finally drop the background music and guest wrestlers, etc. -

Disney Gets 'Naruto Shippuden' http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15813.html http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15763.html With Disney owning Marvel and their main cartoon channel having shows like Wolverine and the X-Men, Spectacular Spider-Man, X-Men Evolution and Naruto Shippuden.. it seems like Disney will be the new dominant channel for anime and anime style american cartoons. Who knows what new series they may make out of the marvel franchise and seeing as they will air Naruto, it makes me wonder if Disney will aquire other Viz series too. Sure, SyFy has some anime but thats mostly on Mondays only if I remember correctly. Regardless, I'm just glad that actual cable companies are starting to carry more anime since CN turned to shit.

Its a new series on SyFy and it premiered tonight. The first episode seemed good. I think it has potential if they bring in some more cast members. Seems that they like the steampunk style with their gadgets. You would think they'd have more modern things in the warehouse/base like an a segway or something to move around or transport things better.

I wouldn't mind buying this new set when it goes on sale at some point tho. I thought I'd share this if there were any other Farscape fans.

http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Ghost_Adventures I recommend this to anyone that likes Ghost Hunters. I actually prefer it over Ghost Hunters now. Ghost Hunters style: Teams of 2, with a camera guy/sound guy following them. They start around 9pm and end their investigation around 3 or 4 am. They often investigate in a casual manner, but focus on the integrity of their findings. The almost never have a camera in their hands. Which means when they say "omg, did you see that?" The answer is no, because he does not have a camera, and the camera guy is pointed at the investigator and not what the investigator is looking at. They have annoying sound effects that almost never stop even when they say "Did you hear that?" They end the investigation with a reveal that shows off the highlights of what they caught. Ghost Adventures: Its just 3 guys in a haunted location. No extra crew. They are the camera guys. They only go to haunted locations where confirmed deaths took place (as far as I know), and they always provoke ghosts to attempt to get results. They actually lock themselves in the location they are investigating and do not leave until around 7am. However, they do not do things scientifically like look for sources of high EMF or other possible explanations like ghost hunters does. (which is a shame). Because they are the camera guys, when they say "oh shit! did you see that!?" They actually catch it on film. They have annoying sound effects too, but they cut them away with good editing whenever a noise happens. Instead of having a 'reveal' at the end of the investigation, they show what they caught as the episode progresses. ie. "Little did we know at the time, but we actually caught this at this particular moment..." *cuts to video playback* All in all, this show is pretty entertaining. I remember seeing a "Ghost Adventures" special a long time ago and I never knew it turned into a series until 2 weeks ago because I never watch the travel channel. The new season started last friday and there is a new episode tonight. Just about every episode I have seen so far (I watched a marathon last friday), there has been paranormal audio and/or video footage. Check it out guys.

http://dvice.com/archives/2009/01/how_the_red_one.php The SCI FI channel has been using this Red camera to film their newest series Sanctuary. Whats interesting is that the show has no set. Pretty much everything is done with a green screen, but when you watch the show you can't really tell if anything is shot in an actual set or not. How do they do it? They use a camera that has 4 times the resolution of HD. Check the video on the link to see more about it. Its actually pretty interesting.
