Just like the comic book movie craze and remake movie craze, the anime/manga => Movie craze will kick in.... as long as we all forget about Dragonball Evolution. But then again, in a few years I'm sure it'll be a remake too.

Disney Gets 'Naruto Shippuden' http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15813.html http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/15763.html With Disney owning Marvel and their main cartoon channel having shows like Wolverine and the X-Men, Spectacular Spider-Man, X-Men Evolution and Naruto Shippuden.. it seems like Disney will be the new dominant channel for anime and anime style american cartoons. Who knows what new series they may make out of the marvel franchise and seeing as they will air Naruto, it makes me wonder if Disney will aquire other Viz series too. Sure, SyFy has some anime but thats mostly on Mondays only if I remember correctly. Regardless, I'm just glad that actual cable companies are starting to carry more anime since CN turned to shit.

The lawsuits started about two months ago, but I didn't know about this until I tried to go to discountanimedvd.com. I guess their site is down until the lawsuit is completed. Guh. That place had some the best imported (I guess illegal) wall scrolls. On a related note, I've noticed that Funi is suing and sending cease and desist letters all over the internet, to torrent sites, fansub groups etc. I read something about some anime companies keeping their eyes on irc channels now for copyright infringement. What do you think, good or bad for the anime industry? And good or bad for you? -p

http://www.marvel.com/movies/Spider-Man.The_Spectacular_Spider-Man Its made by WB and it'll be premiering on March 8, 2008. The little video clip in the top right makes spider-man look like he has the body of a 9 year old. It might be interesting to see how they do venom in the series tho. But still, he looks a bit too kiddish for me.
