  1. https://www.polygon.com/2017/10/16/16486304/netflix-anime-original-films We'll have to wait until 2018 for the new anime series.
  2. Let me start off by saying I watched Fate/Zero earlier this year and it was amazing. One of my favorite series of all time now. The action, strategy, emotional connections, brutal murder, ideals, anti-hero.. it had everything I love. And the last fight in the series was one of the best damn fights I've ever seen in an anime. The series is on netflix in english and I enjoyed the english dub. Heres a trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgDTWKCU3_s I know the fate/stay night is based off of a hentai game property and thats fine. I'm not interested in that. If anything that game setup the ground work for an amazing anime: Fate/Zero. The original fate/stay night series I never watched and after watching unlimited blade works I doubt I'll watch anything with the fate/stay night name in it again. Another series I loved that was based off a H-game was "Tears to Tiara".. excellent anime. Action, adventure.. and just like Fate/Zero, no hentai garbage, just an excellent series. I saw Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works show up on netflix and I finally watched it thinking it'd be a great sequel to Fate/Zero.. boy was I wrong. This series was more based off the actual property, minus hentai.. It was horrible. Its like they took something amazing and turned it into everything I hate in an anime.. all main characters are kids.. in school, with school outfits, and an occasional dojo episode. wtf. I only watched the first 13 episodes and I'll pass on even finishing this series once netflix gets it. I don't want it tainting the awesomeness of Fate/Zero any more. Fate/Zero was epic.. a full on war between 7 mages and their heroic spirits.. the battles were intense and everyone expected a fight to the death at any moment. But unlimited blade works starts the next holy grail war. And everyone continues going to school. Seriously? If any of these characters were in Fate/Zero they would have been dead in the first episode. These two series are so drastically different its like comparing Gundam to Care Bears. TLDR Watch Fate/Zero. Watch it now. Amazing. Delete Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works from your queue and never watch it or feel utter disappointment.
  3. I've seen a couple trailers for Attack on Titan, and it looks way better than the last live action anime based movie I've seen from Japan.
  4. Michael Bay is not content ruining just one generation's childhood. Now that TMNT has wrapped up production, Michael Bay has set his sights on his next project. Pokemon. I have a feeling these pokemon battles will be intense and full of explosions. I bet Megan Fox will play Misty. Source: Pokemon / Nintendo (EDIT) April Fools! Click here to view the article

  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEcCkaRUTsc See the trailer and a few clips of the live action adaption of the anime Kite I've never seen Kite, two of them are on netflix now I assume because of this project... I wont watch them however, because the customer reviews claim they are heavily edited. American live action adaptions of anime or any remake of japanese films have been a bust because they throw in to many western story cliches and ruin the original content... then you have Dragonball Evolution... which I'll never watch. It looks interesting. Click here to view the article

  8. From the album: Random Stuff

You know there is too much fan service when the male characters are no longer interested.
  9. The movie has been out for a year, but it looks like it will get released on blu ray / dvd outside of japan soon because a UK trailer has surfaced: I'll have to watch this at some point, these actors look like the characters. Seeing this makes me want to rewatch the anime.
  10. The trailer is in japanese only and 360p crappy quality so its hard to see what detail the animators might be putting into this. It could be a good anime once its done.
  11. Anyone watching Heroes of Cosplay? Aside from Yaya Han, everyone looks like normal people that enjoy doing cosplay. Its interesting to see their costumes and their design concepts and ideas. The woman's Brave cosplay was really good. She looked pretty much just like Merida. Its on Syfy, Tuesdays at 10 pm right after Face Off. Link to the site: http://www.syfy.com/heroesofcosplay
  12. Warner Brothers is continuing its effort for a live action Akira film. They have reduced the budget leaving many to question how they would tribute the anime's final scenes without laughable syfy channel movie CG. However, in the aftermath of this summer's box office cluster bomb, its hard to blame WB for cutting the once $180 million production price tag. 14. Apparently there is going to be a prequel series to GitS. Looks pretty good. I loved Stand Alone Complex, hopefully this will be just as good. Info on it from: Kotaku
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjk3XRLmasI For the first time ever, the 1978 cult classic manga Space Pirate Captain Harlock is getting its own feature film adaptation. Written by Mobile Suit Gundam UC author Harutoshi Fukui and directed by Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki; Toei Animation made its biggest investment ever, throwing $30 million into the project. The story originally serialized by Leiji Matsumoto, has been updated to fit themes of modern society, and has been given a Hollywood style production. Harlock will release in Japan during the fall. No word on a North American release as of yet. Click here to view the article

  23. http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/16902.html I thought the Battle Angel movie was scrapped. Looks like it'll still get made... eventually. I've been waiting for a movie like Battle Angel to get made. Just like the comic book movie craze and remake movie craze, the anime/manga => Movie craze will kick in.... as long as we all forget about Dragonball Evolution. But then again, in a few years I'm sure it'll be a remake too.
  24. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-11-02/eichiro-oda-one-piece-episode-0-to-be-animated Oh!!! I can't wait for this manga chapter to come out! Maybe we'll get to see if Roger had a Devil's Fruit power or not.
