The new PlayStation 4 firmware update will include external HHD support for game installation. Finally. I honestly didn't realize the original PS4s even had USB 3. They are also finally adding custom wallpapers via screenshots. About damn time. The wallpapers in the online store are complete garbage. I'd still prefer to use my own .jpg files like on the PS3, but modders used that feature as a way to hack the system which is why we never got the functionality in PS4. For only $150 the Hori’s Tactical Assault Commander (TAC) Pro will give everyone on ps4 a huge advantage with mouse and keyboard controls. According to the box art of the product it is officially licensed by Sony and it's being sold at Gamestop and amazon. Sony officially announced the "PlayStation 4 Pro" today: No longer called the PlayStation Neo, the PS4 Pro will give us 4k gaming and HDR. Naughty Dog has possibly made one of the best looking PS4 games yet.. A note at the beginning of this clip reads "The following trailer was captured directly from a PlayStation 4", which implies that this is footage of the in-game engine and not a CGI rendered scene. The PS4 exclusive content will include 4 new missions, an alternate outfit, and a hacking boost. At last year's E3, the PS4 hype reel listed this as a timed exclusive which is interestingly not listed as such in this trailer. I'd also like to point out the flip flopping of the visuals for Watch Dogs, it looked amazing at E3, and some play through demos later on. Finally watched this movie and I didn't like it. I never cared for the childish behavior version of spider-man. He felt too immature to me, looked a bit too childish and Emma Stone's character looked noticeably older than him IMO for two people that were supposed to be about the same age. Spider-Man seemed to be much weaker than his incarnation in the Sam Raimi movies too. Overall I'm not impressed and I'm surprised its getting a sequel.

I got my hands on a PS4 and so far, I'm not overly impressed. lol. I really need to get my hands on a next gen game to see this system's full potential. Out of the box though, the system is smaller than my PS3 slim, it weighs less and the controller is noticeably more comfortable in my hands. As it is, it feels like an upgraded PS3. The share option seems nice. Once you hit the share button it will save the video footage of the game you are playing, plus the previous 15 minutes for editing and uploading. I haven't tried it yet though. The controller speaker caught me by surprise. It was noticeably loud.. it was as loud as basic tv speakers, which really surprised me. The controller also has a cool looking touchpad which is also a pushable button.. I was hoping I could have used that touchpad for easy swype typing, but it does not appear to have that functionality. There is no PS Home, but instead of interacting with people's avatars, the system lets me easily interact with real people via watching their game streams or shows. I have my PSN ID set to only show my username and it looks like many people are using that same option. I like that my PSN account is the same as my PS3, but when I view friends online I don't see how to distinguish if someone is online on their PS3 or PS4.. and when I was on PS3, I could not see any of my friends online if they were logged into their PS4s. It seems a bit odd that I could potentially send a friend a message and they'd only see me as offline. This system must be all about the games because there isn't many huge features that are must needs for me to justify the cost of the system. However, I need some next gen titles to take full advantage of what this console's hardware was built for. Once I experience some newer titles, I'm sure I'll be impressed. But aside from Battlefield 4, there really isn't that many games available. I'm looking forward to Destiny and Watchdogs, but with no other games drawing my attention right now, I'll probably put my extra spending cash into a BF4 premium upgrade to get all the DLC. For all the people out there struggling to get a hold of one of these systems right now, I highly suggest that if they do get the PS4 that they buy some next gen games to go with it and not rely on the free PS+ games to fulfill their gaming needs.

I saw this game on Kotaku and it peaked my interest because it's puzzle platforming reminds me a little bit of limbo. The story is interesting so far and the gameplay is unique... the game it self has its bugs, but I can't complain since it was free via PS+. This generation cycle has been the longest since the term "next gen" was coined as an industry lingo. For Sony, it may also result in the shortest previous gen support life cycle. According to top dog Shuhei Yoshida... 2 years? In an interview with gameindustry.biz, Yoshia said: Yoshida also pointed out that AAA developers were now shifting to PS4 mode, so naturally AAA titles released on PS3 will start to decline. Because of Developer frustration with the PS3's inner workings and its fumbling start, PS2 did keep recieving fresh content for years, and even outsold its bigger brother at times. With dev's raving about the PS4's programing abilities this time around, confidence in making new games for PS4 may kill off support for PS3 faster than its predecessors.
