  5. My brother informed me that his PS4 ejected a couple games on him last week. He told me that he turned off the system, unplugged it, cleaned off the power and eject buttons on the console, lifted it up and put it down.. plugged it in the next day and he hasn't had an issue since. He said that when it was happening, he was playing a digital game and the console would randomly make the ejection noise even without a disk in it. I experienced this issue last night and today. I noticed my BF4 disk was sticking out of the PS4 yesterday and I figured someone probably rubbed their butt against the button by accident. Well.. today when I went to put Watch Dogs in, I noticed BF4 sitting there like a tongue sticking out at me. I put Watch Dogs in so it could start installing and I walked away for a bit.. I came back and the game was spit out. I put it back in, watched the install for a while and it ejected again. I did a quick google search and I found this article: http://techbooters.com/2014/04/02/ps4-auto-ejecting-discs-heres-fix/ Which references this article: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5061 I easily pushed off the glossy part of the PS4, located the screw... Not the HD screw which is obvious.. no, this screw is straight down. Its a manual eject screw. I have a set of small screw drivers and started turning it. The screw appears to float and do nothing, so I pushed down on it while turning and then it seems to have some resistance and it felt like that is how the screw is supposed to manually eject discs. So I turned it clockwise for a while and it never seemed to fully tighten, and when you release pressure from that screw it resumes floating in the air. Anyway, after turning it clockwise a bit, I put the cover back on the system and put Watch Dogs back in. So far it has finished the install and it has been running for about 40 minutes now without an issue. I'm not certain if this is a major flaw with the cd drive or a simple case of a screw not being torqued correctly prior to shipping. If it starts ejecting disks on me again, I'll deal with Sony's support and see if I need to send my system in or not. Its odd, because the system has been running great up until just last night / today. Maybe its taken 6 months of use for the hard drive's natural spinning to cause enough vibration to loosen that screw? I'm not certain. But if it happens to anyone else, try this screw tightening fix, it takes about 2 minutes.
  6. I never bought the season pass, but I would definitely like to play this DLC. I think I'll wait on reviews for it first tho. I don't want to drop cash on this if its only a single mission DLC. If its a mini campaign then I'll pick it up.

  14. It looks like Ubisoft will definitely be making a Watch_Dogs 2. Did anyone else get this email? I haven't taken the survey yet, but I did read on other sources that Aiden Pearce may not be the main protagonist in the sequel.
  15. An EA DICE animator revealed that the new Battlefield 4 expansion pack "Dragon's Teeth" will include a two handed ballistic shield. DICE was going to make the shield one handed and work in conjunction with a hand pistol, but limitations on the older gen systems made it impossible across all platforms. Because this game is on the PS3 and Xbox 360, all versions of BF4 will be limited to weapon and gadget functionality based on what those systems can handle. Its a shame they released this game on the older consoles. Now we'll have a Call of Duty style shield instead of something unique to Battlefield. Although, this shield when used by a couple squad mates at the same time could really change Operation Metro and Operation Locker matches, assuming an M320 LVG grenade could bounce off the shield. 19. Naughty Dog has possibly made one of the best looking PS4 games yet.. A note at the beginning of this clip reads "The following trailer was captured directly from a PlayStation 4", which implies that this is footage of the in-game engine and not a CGI rendered scene. If Uncharted 4 will have this much detail, I'll expect it to be one of the largest games to install in 2015.

  21. I have been uploading my PS4 videos to youtube for a while now and I wanted to make this guide to explain how it is done. Until the Playstation 4 gets an update that will allow direct video uploading / sharing to youtube, the only option available is to upload your videos to facebook. In this quick guide I explain how to save your uploaded video off of facebook in HD and then how to upload it to youtube. It is very easy. First off, you have to have a facebook account and you have to connect your PS4 account to it. If you don't want to share your videos to your friends and family, then set your PS4 to share only visible to you. Or make a group on facebook, add the friends you want to see your videos to it and then go back to your PS4 facebook settings and select that group to share videos with. Once you do that, then follow this guide for sharing to youtube. 1) You need Firefox and the Video DownloadHelper addon installed. If you already have firefox then install the addon. If you don't like firefox and prefer chrome, then good for you. Install firefox and this addon anyway just for saving your videos. You can get them from these links: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/ As you can see in this picture, the addon will add an icon with menu drop down to the top right of the browser: 2) Play a game on your PS4 and share a video to facebook. Its best if you give the video a name because it makes the video have a noticeable click-able link on facebook. On facebook, go to your timeline and click on the name of the video. This will take you to a page specifically for the video and not a popup lightbox version. You will want to be on the video page itself. If you don't name the video, you'll have to click the "your name shared a video" link instead. 3) Now that you are on the video page, do not play it. Instead click the HD button to initiate playback in HD. 4) Once the video is playing you will notice that the Video DownloadHelper icon is now animated and colorful. This means there is a video loaded that you can save. Click the icon and save the video. 5) For some reason, my screenshot did not grab the drop down menu. It shows the video name as a large garble of numbers and letters because that is how the video is saved on facebook. So rename the video to whatever you want but make sure it keeps the .mp4 extension. Also, if you accidentally started playing your video before hitting the HD button, there will be two .mp4 files listed in the Video DownloadHelper drop down. Because the file names make no sense, simply hover over each one to see the file sizes of the videos. Whichever is the largest is the HD video you want to save. 6) Your PS4 video in HD is now saved. All you have to do now is upload it to youtube. I'm assuming you have a youtube account. Sign in, click the upload link shown in this screenshot. It will bring you to this upload screen. Click the large red upload icon and select the video(s) you want to upload. 7) Now that your video is uploading, give the video a name, description and type in a bunch of tags so people can find your video easier. Choose a screenshot for your image or make your own, save it and you are all set. 8) Your Playstation 4 HD videos are now on youtube.
