    Who Knew?

Cool stuff, but the spelling errors need attention, sweety. Just a suggestion.
  2. Navy - Never Again Volunteer Yourself U.S. Army - (backwards) Yes, My Retarded @$$ Signed Up Marine - My @$$ Rides in Navy Equipment I don't have one for Air Force yet. Any ideas?
  3. I wrote these jokes and e-mailed them around years ago while I was in the military. For once, these jokes are actually mine. 1. If you've ever been caught practicing quickdraw on watch...you might be a military redneck. 2. If you show up for chow one hour early to avoid the long line...you might be a military redneck. 3. If your aircraft stops on the hook and wire system, but the ordinance did not...you might be a military redneck. 4. If you've ever expended ammunition to save your lunch from seagulls...you might be a military redneck. 5. If those seagulls ever expended ammunition to get you back...you might be a military redneck. 6. If you've ever smacked a flying fish with a broom...you might be a military redneck. 7. If you've ever fed hot sauce to a seagull...you might be a military redneck. 8. If you've ever been accused of killing Oscar (the dummy used for man overboard drills)...you might be a military redneck. 9. If you've ever saddled a jet engine...you might be a military redneck. 10. If you've ever disguised illegal alcohol stillery as engine parts...you might be a military redneck. Our nation's military is doing Jeff Foxworthy proud.
  4. An amusing show, but pointless from start to finish. You have desires for the characters, but nothing you expect ever actually takes place. A lot of totally impossible stuff takes place, though, with even more impossible resolutions (i.e. resurrection of a dead corpse by soaking it in water?). But the bottom line is that it's a fun anime to watch when nothing else is on.

    Who Knew?

I saw that episode. Mythbusters rock!
  6. I have the entire series subbed on VHS. It's rather good when it's not butchered. The movie didn't impress me all that much. Escaflowne is a very special series to me because Hitomi reads tarot and douses with a pendulum just as I do. This series is among the largest contributors to my enthusiasm regarding my tarot skills. I probably wouldn't have explored the art at such a young age without that series giving me the inspirational spur I needed.
  7. I'm curious as to where I will come in. I hope I'm a spellcaster of some kind since that's what I really am.
  8. Oh! I got a few too! Telemarketers around here HATE calling me because I play with them. My phone has hold music and I'll put them on hold for 30 minutes or so. I also might tell them that I already have what they are selling. And one of my favorite questions is, "Have you bought this product for yourself?" Most telemarketers will say "no."
  9. We have debated this issue before. Here's the link: http://forums.ancientclan.com/showthread.php?t=431 The possibility of Sesshomaru's fluffy actually being his tail seems plausible and rather likely. At least, that is my opinion. As I stated in the thread where this issue was debated, it bleeds, moves at Sesshomaru's will, and IS connected to his back beneath his armor. Note the screenshots in the thread linked above.
  10. *sniffs* What about me? ..........
  11. (Just checking in.) Kuwa hasn't included me in the fun. I should get my internet connection back soon. I feel like I'm being forgotten.
  12. Oh come on, Mimiru! If we guys can chuckle at this joke, then surely you can too!
  13. I get TONS of jokes from my tarot customers in my e-mail. I have almost 100 that I haven't read!
  14. What are you counting for, you silly thing?! There's already two more in the humor forum. Go look!
  15. I got more! One sec......
  16. Once upon a time there was a female brain cell, which, by mistake, happened to end up in a man's head. She looked around nervously because it was all empty and quiet. "Hello?" she cried, but no answer. "Is there anyone here?" she cried a little louder, but still no answer. Now the female brain cell started to feel alone and scared and yelled at the top of her voice, "HELLO, IS THERE ANYONE HERE?" Then... she heard a faint voice from far, far away.................. "We're down here."

    Posting and You

Here Here!!! Sledg, you should post that link in it's own sticky!
  20. Actually, Horo Horo also uses this name in the English version, but he more commonly uses his nickname, Trey. Yoh even says it when he first meets Pelika, Trey's sister, and she makes a comment about his funny name. Yoh replies with her brother's proper name, Horo Horo. As far as Yoh's brother, Hao, his English name is Zeke Asakura. Not sure why they changed it though. It's a funny thing about his spirit though. His spirit is an elemental of fire. In the Western Craft, we call these creatures, Salamanders, synonymous to the fiery magic card "Salamandra" on Yu-gi-oh. They, unfortunately, are very much more powerful than a simple ghost. Time for another fascinating moment of occult facts! Of course, Shaman King uses the terms "ghost" and "spirit" interchangeably, but politically incorrect. If Amidamaru were actually a "spirit," he would stand a chance against Hao's elemental. Unfortunately, he is merely a ghost and far weaker than a spirit entity. The difference between a spirit and a ghost is their energy makeup. This says a lot for their behavior and strength. Spirits contain more than enough power to be self-aware and fully conscious in addition to being able, in some case, to be in two places at once. Spirits can also move around great distances in the blink of an eye, where as ghosts cannot. A spirit is what departs the body upon death and goes off to where ever your personal beliefs decree it should. Elementals, however, are different. They are in spirit form all the time. Their bodies are the elements, themselves (Earth, Air, Fire, and Water). Ghosts are merely the energy leftovers of a departed spirit and are, in most cases, barely conscous at all. They don't have the energy to do much of anything, especially your lower class ghosts, such as vapors and apparritions. A particularly weak person CAN be possessed by a particularly strong ghost and be able abide by it's unconscious actions or whatever the ghost commonly practiced in life. This is where Shaman King comes in. Yoh is not a weak person, but he must focus his mind and relax his body in order to let Amidamaru in and take control. Spirit Unity is more commonly known as "invocation" in the western Craft and takes years of practice. Anyone who has ever used a ouija board has experienced a form of invocation just like Yoh and Amidamaru. This, unfortunately, is no reason to try one. They are very dangerous! However, with this explanation, one begins to understand why Amidamaru is no match for an elemental spirit.
