Saiel got a reaction from DeathscytheX in Can we (please) just declare Nintendo the winner of this generation's console war?
I'm "offended" because you seem to have an undeserved opinion of the DS and my idea. I don't think you've actually played the DS. Your claim that two screens is "goofy" indicates such. It really seems like you saw the DS, developed an opinion of it, and then decided to argue it to the death without actually giving it a chance.
And I asked for your personal preference because you were so clearly sure my idea was terrible, you must have a better one yourself--yet you had initially suggested what sounded like a total flop product to begin with. Then, after clarification, you suggested a product that essentially can't exist. You see the issue here? You poorly criticize my idea, and offer no better solution. Why should I take criticism from someone who can't come up with anything better than "that's goofy"?
Obviously touch screens aren't new. But they're only now being successfully utilized in a wide array of technologies.
"Two screens walk into a bar. One wants to be felt up. And the other wants to be on top. Meh... Almost as bad of a joke as the DS. Yes I do like pause menus. They give me a breather when I'm in fast paced action. Two screens isn't just way too much; its just goofy."
Let me guess--you only play Madden games.
"Congrats on wanting whats basically a touch screen universal remote control."
Congrats on, once again, not knowing what you're talking about. Although a DS system that can also make coffee and set some mood lighting might have its place.
"Do I dare say your view on the touch screen is only your opinion because you hate Motion Controls."
This makes about as much sense as the rest of your responses. I don't like the motion controls on the Wii, I've admitted as much: but because they're sloppily implemented and typically make a game more difficult to play, not more fun. The touch screen shines in comparison because it usually improves gameplay; it does not deter from it. Other than that, I dare say you were reaching for a severely dim connection and did not find it here.
"What I found dumb was a game that needed somehow 3 screens in order to play."
And what I found dumb was your belief that a third screen image would magically appear. I haven't considered all the specs for this "goofy dream" of mine, but thanks for ensuring I won't look to you for suggestions.
"Yes please do get back on topic to the thread I made & not some goofy dream of the DS."
So, let me get this straight. Your complaints about my suggestion are 1) it will somehow require three screens (which it obviously would not) 2) it uses the DS, which is obviously a terrible system (yes, that's universally accepted) and 3) it's goofy
    Well, I'm obviously beat.
...And because I'm 99% sure you won't realize it, that last line is dripping sarcasm.

Saiel got a reaction from Sledgstone in Fallout 3 is superb (no spoilers)
Because I've put 45 hours into Fallout 3 in the past week, I feel the need to share its unbelievable awesomeness with other gamers. Simply put, it's amazing, no matter what type of gamer you are.
RPG fans will be pleased by its constant rewards and wide variety of skills and story paths. FPS fans will be treated to an action-packed world which seamlessly combines run 'n' gun with worthwhile character interaction. Sandbox gamers can run about the world all they like, doing quests in any order and finding new surprises across the vast wasteland. Linear players will have distinct objectives and paths to follow, taking them directly through the storyline and any subsequent events they wish to pursue. It's all-encompassing, utterly enjoyable, and unexplainably addictive.
If you haven't thought about picking this one up, I suggest you seriously consider it. I can't think of any genre of player who will not be satisfied in some regard--and I am utterly, entirely satisfied. Just writing about it is making my mouth water with Fallout anticipation. Play it. It will start a flame in your heart.

Saiel reacted to DeathscytheX in "Mass Effect" is a porno game...wtf
The only questionable theme to the game, which makes it hit close to home, is one of the paths you can take in the game that revolves around racism. However, instead of humans looking down on each other, its humans looking at themselves as better than the other alien species. Someone could make a better case out of that rather than this whole porno deal.

Don't you have to actively pursue another character with diligent empathy, extensive dialogue, and demonstrated emotional concern to even have a chance at a sex scene?
Sounds like Mr. McCullough hacked the game and inserted his own foreign entity. What up.

Saiel got a reaction from Pchan in Arcade now open!
Why are the games showing two separate high scores now? Like, the top score in the box and then the top score on the list can be the same person, but different scores. I think that messes up the top score for that person whenever they're beat--they lose their boxed score completely. Example--I had 8,000 or 9,000 something in Blasterman listed in the top box with the avatar, GG beat that (good job ), so now my highscore listed is 6,000 whatever, actually my 2nd best score--instead of the 8,000+ one. Does that make sense? It's like that on all the games, though.

If you want Ultimecia's Castle to be super-easy, work on your junctions, fight Ultima Weapon, and get Eden. He does a ridiculous amount of damage to everyone--at times over 100,000, IIRC. Plus, you can draw all the Ultima magic you'll need from Ultima Weapon. Very useful. And be sure to fight the Tri-Face fixed encounters in the deep sea center (they disappear after you defeat Ultima, so do them before) to collect plenty of curse spikes. Curse spikes --> dark matter --> shaman stone --> rosetta stone = win.

Saiel got a reaction from Eppy in Finding new artists
My friend told me about this site / thing last night, and I've been kinda hooked since. It's Pandora.com, and it's a music generator in which you tell it what song or artist you like, and after playing something by that artist, it will find other music you might like based on similarity. For instance, I put in The Postal Service, and it logically gave me a Flaming Lips song not long after. Even better, you can tell it if you like or don't like the song it picked, so it can begin to define your tastes and get even closer to just what you enjoy--so hopefully eventually it'll be introducing you to all-new music and artists that you'll end up loving. It tells you what the songs you like include, (it'll say, "Finding songs with major tonality, mild vocal chords..." etc). It's really interesting. I recommend anyone who likes finding new artists to check it out.

It's been a looong time since I made any banners.
Banners were just an "I'm bored" kinda thing for me...I never tried or claimed to be any good.

And my favorite is my five-minute Tellah banner that I still use.
I made the cloud background myself, and am damn proud. X'D
