The PC version is graphically better, fully compatible with a wired xbox controller and more of the map is used on conquest... there are flags E and F on bigger maps.

I think this gen there will not be a gap. but I'm liking how the FPS pic has the optic and the the iron sites to the left. I'd like to see that utilized. I've always been an iron sights guy, but there are instances I could use a optic... especially if I've unlocked a IRV scope.

A Remington 870 Tactical Express similar to what you the military/police uses, and can be found in BF3 and COD is one of the best and most reliable pump actions ever made, and they run around $540

The first is a Springfield 1911-A1. Its a few steps up from a basic model and cost me $980 at the time I bought it... its MSRP was over $1000. We tend to get guns a bit cheaper here because there are about 30 gun shops in the area and they all have to compete. Ammo for target practice will run around $20-30 for 50 rounds. A box of 20-25 hollow points will run for about the same.
The Second is a Glock 27. I bought it for $570. Target shooting ammo $18-20 for 50 rounds $30-40 for 100 rounds. $20-30 for a box of 25 hollow points.
The Shotgun is a Mossberg 930 SPX. I bought it for $625, I've heard wal-mart carries it for a bit cheaper these days. 00 buckshot will run you around $8 for 5 shells. Birdshot is cheaper.
The rifle is a Winchester Model 94. I cant tell you how much the ammo is, because I haven't been able to find any. I inherited the gun after my grandfather past away.
With the current scare on ammo, the prices have inflated x2 in the past months. Where I live, its more abundant than it is in bigger cities. To find ammo I recommend always go to your local gun shops. Big chains like Dicks, Academy, and Wal-Mart are where most people go, and people that have friends that work there know when the shipments come, and are there 1st thing to buy it all up.

Battlefield updated their website today as a teaser to the official game reveal on March 27, 2013. Their website is displayed as a window that is fogged over and covered with moisture. With a little mouse work you can partially reveal what appears to be an IFV. Aside from the words "The more fans who log in, the more we'll reveal" there really isn't anything revealed just yet.

Why not? You can never be too prepared!

Before I was old enough to purchase my own firearms, Knives were my thing.

I'd probably find a good place to bunker up. The coastline sounds good until the tropical season begins. With no way to track the weather like we can with NOAA, it would be dangerous to live there. I'd head for Montana or Tennessee, or some other wilderness state and keep within a certain distance of a river. I'll take my more survivable chance of getting flooded, but I'd prefer a mountainous region like the smokies that are very habitable. The river would supply a drinkable water source, along with food. I'd find my self one of those abandoned cabins and fortify it. I might be able to utilize the river for a small electrical source using a water wheel. It would take a while, but while I still had vehicles with fuel, I'd def work on getting some solar panels and attempting a DIY job in all the free time I had. I'd focus on harnessing electricity on the sole fact of food storage.

The biggest hazards would be bears and other dangerous wildlife, but at the same time they could be a layer of protection. Territorial animals would attack walkers... and I'll assume animals cannot turn, and if they could, they would not be fast movers.
I don't think I'd trust anyone outside of people I knew. If anyone came looking for assistance I'd likely kill them on sight. I'm not going to fall into a trap where someone takes what I have worked hard to put together.

Imagine your self in Ricks position, You wake up 30 days after the world went to hell,

Main goal is survival for you and any survivors you find

I personally would seek shelter, but IMO you dont want to have your back to a wall or be too exposed where you can get flanked, Zombies are not fast or sneakey, but can easily swarm you in crazy numbers,

My plan would be head for the coast

Sea air should increase decomposition of the zombies, if they decompose to the point of ligaments rotting they wont be mobile anymore, and significantly weaker to blows from blunt objects
Also while on land keeping on beaches will benefit in that the ocean can disguise noise and strong sea smell might cover the scent of fresh meat, and worst case scenario, swim out 30 ft and the zombies will loose you.
My main goal would be Finding a medium to large yacht and anchoring like 200ft off shore so i would be a save heaven to rest. eat and most of all sleep

Using a boat it will be easy to travel up and down the coast looking for supplies, many beach houses will be stocked with supplies and rich people will have plenty of spare boats if you need a bigger one or more fuel.

Fish!!  endless supply of food, assuming you are alone or a small group, a couple hours a day fishing will take care of hunger,

During winter you can sail south for more ideal climates, Places in the Caribbean will have coconuts growing near the sea so you wont have to venture in land too much,

Lastly raiding coast guard ships / bases will get you guns and ammo.

Anyone have a Zombie apocalypse plan?

It would be interesting to more or less terraform different regions into more habitable locations. If an abundance of water throughout the country became available it could create a lot of new jobs in housing and construction.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/03/14/us-japan-fuel-costs-idUSBRE92D05E20130314
TOKYO — The restart of Japan's nuclear power industry is proving pivotal to the economic vision of the country's prime minister as soaring fuel bills after the Fukushima disaster threaten to keep the country's trade in a deeper deficit for longer.
As Japan marks the second anniversary this week of a crisis that scarred the nation, the fuel bills to pay for lost atomic output are leaving their own scars on the economy, partly owing to Abe's own making.
His mix of economic policies — dubbed Abenomics by the media — has driven the yen down sharply, thus raising the cost of imports that will weigh on the revival of a nation that has traditionally relied on exports to drive growth.
The sooner that pro-nuclear Abe can restart atomic power stations, the sooner he will return the country's record trade deficit to its long-term standing of a trade surplus and so mark a milestone in the recovery of the economy.
But in Abe's way is the country's new, independent atomic watchdog, which has said it will take as long as three years to approve restarts under safety guidelines it is drawing up.
"It's a problem for Abe because his economic policies depend partly on an export led recovery to really deliver growth and he needs to get the trade balance back to positive," said Tom O'Sullivan, a Tokyo-based energy consultant.
"He also needs to stimulate domestic demand in parallel with improving exports," O'Sullivan said, adding he believed Abe had made up his mind to restart reactors.
The Fukushima disaster, triggered by a huge earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan in March 2011, led to the shut down of the country's entire nuclear power industry, which was producing 30 per cent of the country's electricity supply at the time. Only two reactors have resumed operation, sparking huge protests against nuclear power.
Japan's fuel imports bill jumped immediately as power companies ramped up production of oil and gas-fired generators. Just as quickly, the trade balance swung into a deficit.
Abe's push for more aggressive fiscal and monetary policy since he won a big election victory in December has added to the fuel bill by driving down the value of the yen to a 3-1/2 year low of 96.71 per dollar on Tuesday.
Japan, the most energy-import dependent of the world's major economies, spent about 24 trillion yen ($250 billion) in 2012 on fuel imports including for electricity generation, based on the official average yen rate of 79.55 to dollar, finance ministry figures showed.
That made up a third of Japan's total imports bill and towered over a record trade deficit of 6.9 trillion yen.
Should the yen fall to 100 to the dollar and stay there for the next year, Japan's purchases of oil, gas and coal from overseas would rise 25 per cent to just over 30 trillion yen, in the unlikely scenario that import volumes hold steady.
But energy imports are likely to rise as Japan faces a second complete shutdown by September when the two running nuclear plants must be idled for regular maintenance.
Abe's Liberal Democratic Party is seen as more pro-nuclear power than the preceding Democratic Party of Japan government. Abe plans, for example, to review from scratch his predecessor's plan to exit atomic power.
"Abe will surely use high import costs after the summer to argue that Japan needs to get restarts simply because the cost for doing business in Japan is prohibitive," said Martin Schulz, a senior research fellow at Fujitsu Research Institute.
Like Abe, utilities have strong economic reasons to restart nuclear power stations as they see costs soar. Imports of liquefied natural gas, the main substitute for nuclear fuel, cost 6 trillion yen in 2012 and utilities are desperate to restart other units to reduce costs and cut losses.
They are betting they will be able to get just over a fifth of Japan's 50 reactors restarted by the end of March 2014, although some critics say that is ambitious given the regulator's more cautious view.
If utilities were able to get half the country's 50 nuclear reactors back online, they would save as much as 1.8 trillion yen in fuel imports over the next year, the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan, a government-linked research institute, said.
Tokyo Electric Power Co, Kansai Electric Power Co , Kyushu Electric Power Co, Shikoku Electric Power Co and Tohoku Electric Power Co have included the restart of 11 reactors as part of applications to raise electricity prices.
Out of the country's 10 nuclear operators, the five account for more than 70 per cent of fuel oil, crude and LNG use for power generation in Japan and 40 per cent of coal burning. Together they operate two-thirds of the country's reactors.
"Nothing has been decided yet about the restart of nuclear reactors, but my guess is that the current government is supportive of restarts, although in a low-key manner, since the resistance among the population is substantial," said Gerhard Fasol, Chief Executive officer of Eurotechnology Japan KK, a Tokyo-based consulting firm.
The big five are forecasting a 50 per cent increase in coal use in the year to March 31, 2014, while their LNG use is expected to decline 9.4 per cent. Reflecting the currency impact, the volume of crude oil imports fell 4.7 per cent in January but their value rose 5.9 per cent. Average benchmark Brent crude prices in the month were only 0.8 per cent higher than a year earlier.
