All those years ago I made a couple other anime sites. & At one point I was going to make a variety of anime sites and Ancient Clan was going to be the primary hub for them all. Then life got in the way and my interests slowly faded. But its all good. I don't think I'll make any more anime sites, but I will expand on AC more in the future. And our anime forum is always open. Feel free to make status updates if you want, or upload some gallery pics, make some topics about a new anime you watched, etc. If you have any questions let me know.
Was that the april fools when I put a message on the top of the forum that said something like: "Pssst, don't tell anyone, but you've been selected to have admin powers for today only. Ban anyone you want for 1 hour, go ahead.. they'll never know." ? And when someone put a name in and clicked ban, they'd ban themselves for an hour instead? That was a great april 1st.

XIV doesn't need a graphics overhaul considering this iteration is only 4 years old (you have to remember the original XIV or 1.0 in this instance failed hard and the game was scrapped, rebuilt from the bottom up, and re-released as ARR or 2.0). Stormblood is amazingly beautiful, they really upped the graphics quality with this release (they redid nothing but they utilize DirectX 11 now, instead of 9 like they did with ARR). I expect to see XIV go on for at least another 5-6 years considering it's still growing (last count was 8+ million subscribers) and if they keep releasing a quality game (launches with standing, they can't seem to get that shit right) and continue their patch cycle (every 3 months we get new content) this game will go on for a long while.
You also forget FFXI, its been out for 15 years and has not seen any major graphic overhauls (minor gameplay ones) and it's currently the longest running MMO to date (then again Everquest is still technically running) and it's due for a Mobile release soon (don't really know the details but it's a scaled down version of FFXI). Fuck people still play the game religiously.
WoW's game engine hasn't seen any real improvements, it's still technically the same engine but they've expanded it to do a lot more then it was originally capable of (graphically included, the graphics overhaul was because Blizzard thought it was time to leave the cartoony graphics behind (though it's still pretty cartoony).
Honestly we won't see another major iteration in consoles for another year or two and that will most likely be out of Sony more than Microsoft. MS already stated they won't be releasing a new console and wish to only improve upon the XBone going foward, maybe releasing newer versions like the S and X (considering how much money and time they put into the X they would be retarded to start developing a new console now). If anything generations are gone, we'll be stuck with similar consoles only slightly more powerful than the last. Ultimately I think the goal is to go modular, like a computer and allow us to upgrade parts going forward. While that may sound stupid it's actually not. It'll allow gamers who can't afford high-end computers to get into gaming at a cheaper cost and allow them to upgrade as they need to any parts going out of date (instead of spending $2100 like I did on my computer someone can go out, pick up whatever iteration of the XBone we're on for lets say $500, and then down the line buy a new graphics card/cpu/etc. This in the long run is much cheaper as they're still paying a smaller fee to get in whereas no matter what I'll always be spending more since my initial in was $2100). Meh, you can take that as you will but honestly I don't foresee anything more out of consoles, generation wise, other then slightly better versions coming out.

Hi everyone, I hope that you are having a good day. My name is Alex and I've been a fan of anime since I was a kid.
BTW, am I on the right thread to do some introduction? I hope you can forgive me for being such an intruder.

I'm pretty sure its make your own story where scenes only resets on you "dying" or a pivotal part of the story dies like the kid. The differences will be in successful solutions. I'll probably get this game when it goes on the cheap, it looks cool, but not $60 cool for my tastes.

If you're not up to speed on your Norse mythology. The World Serpent is Loki's middle child Jormungand. Thor threw him in the ocean as a child and he became so large he could grasp his own tail, which earned him the name World Serpent. When he releases his tail Ragnarok begins. Obviously GoW has always put its creative liberties in the story. But if I had to guess Loki is the one that is speaking to Kratos in the middle of the trailer, and Jormungand is going to help you in some way fight Thor... Somehow Kratos is getting screwed either at the end or mid way and we're gonna kill them all. PS5 we'll move on to Egypt.

YES!!! Finally a traditional Kirby game and not some racing game or yarn game. Can we get a DK Country now?

I've never played this game, but I will pick it up. It has a pretty big cult following. There are people that still play this game to this day trying to find secrets. I watched a documentary video where a bunch of Colossi were cut from the original games because of the limited hardware and time constraints. A lot of hardcore fans are hoping at least some this content gets restored into this remake.

Uncharted 4 is $20. I just bought it. I might have to put Mass Effect on the back burner.

It's not Ace Combat without a mission with some ridiculously massive bomber equipped with an insane amount of AA.

This movie was outstanding. DC's best movie so far. One of the things I hate about some of the animated moves is when they do that "fresh off the island" Wonder Woman and she seems to be as dimwitted as a Neanderthal that's only good at fighting. They handled this very well in the movie, while she was naive about the ways of the world, she had a basic understanding of it and was classically educated. There were bits and pieces in there that were added for humor's sake, but nothing overly cringeworthy to make her look like a blundering oaf.
The action sequences were great, they stayed away from the overly CG night explosions everywhere 300 style until the very end when it needed to be like that. The action was great, the story was great, and the supporting cast was interesting. Pacing was really good, it never felt like it was dragging. I must apologize for ever doubting Gal Gadot could fill this role, she's amazing. She made a very good transition from BvS Wonder Woman that was experienced in modern civilization to Naive Wonder Woman. It was very believable and well acted with class and dignity.

Still they could have come up with a better script on how he ends up there. I'm all for not dragging it out, but for me you either do it right, or you don't do it at all and just make him full power from start. The whole origin thing is getting pretty old. I'll go see Wonder Woman Wednesday most likely, since she was the best part of BvS.
What's terrible is how many times Spider-Man has been rebooted now... 3 times in a decade? I didn't even watch the last two. I'll probably see homecoming though because Stark is in it.

Pretty sad since some of the better stories of any form of TV/Movie media has come from anime. I have noticed anime with more Western themes. My Hero Academia is one of them, AoT has a lot of European characters, and all the Martians in Aldnoah.Zero were Aryan.
I guess attention spans really have gotten bad in our digital age. I was watching some commentary discussion on the new Eureka Seven and they said the the original had a "slower pace that newer anime fans wouldn't be use to" and I was like uuuh wot?

Oh boy... the fact this season is only 12 episodes with a lot of fillers, and "12 hours ago" type eps is pretty disappointing. I've liked all the eps, don't get me wrong, but I don't see how they are going to really progress the story, and then wait another few years for a season 3? It seems like they should probably take a break, and just start over when the manga is done. Apparently the anime industry is in bad shape right now, animators are overworked, underpaid, and school's are closing.
This guy has an annoying voice, but goes over it. I guess the animators can't go on strike like the writers guild and actors guild have done in the US to get better wages.
But I find it funny its hard to get quality anime, yet T&A shows get pumped out like no one's business. Anime were busty girls fight with there butts, and what not. wtf . I mean I enjoy a Highschool DxD now and then, but damn the market is saturated with fan service, and people are yearning for something better. I know there is a lot of meh towards AoT, but there is a reason its popular, and the state of the market has a lot to do with it.
