  1. After they announced their world premiere on 5/6, Battlefield shared a 1942 clip advertising their world premiere. I hope that means something.

      Sledgstone

Ohhh. It better be good. Battlefield 3 and 4 had me hooked for a solid 6 months each.

I wonder what Gearbox did to deserve Overwatch's Open Beta and BF's world premiere take place during Battleborn's launch. XD

      Sledgstone

Sucks for them. Its like a how a good movie might come out the same weekend as a new Star Wars and bomb horribly just because of bad timing.

  2. "Oh look, it's FAREN...the last person I wanted to see." XD ever since the HoT beta that's been my favorite dynamic event in gw2.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I haven't done that event since the beta. I remember when he was wearing that speedo and everyone had a wtf moment at his nakedness. XD

It's a Tarzan cloth now. XD

  3. Gizmodo made a list of the top 14 weirdest episodes of Quantum Leap. Its really a mix of its weirdest and best in one list. The Oswald 2-part was def an all time favorite of mine. http://io9.gizmodo.com/the-14-weirdest-quantum-leap-episodes-of-all-time-1785484622

I remember the JFK eps and they were really good. But leaping into the body of a space chimp? XD lmao. I don't remember that ep at all. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

XD What? That was a great ep. LMAO I think he was suppose to be euthanize, but in the end he was saved because his handler fell into a river or something, and he saved her. Chimps can't swim, but since Sam did as a chimp, they wanted to study him more, saving his life. XD

rotflmao! XD Now I have to watch this episode on netflix. XD

  4. FINALLY made Platinum on Overwatch comp. Went on a 6 win 1 draw streak after the opening match was a loss. Once the team scores start averaging 2500 Its so much better. They honestly need to scrap the algorithm that ranks you lower on purpose after placement matches. 2300 and below is horrific with idiotic picks. Once I got past my season high and hit the mid 2400's the team comp and matches were insanely different and way more competitive. Elo Hell is a real thing for solo q, I don't care what Force Gaming says or anyone else. You can't make much of a difference when someone is picking a bad pick on attack. Damn I'm thrilled right now.

Grats (just noticed this, these 10 hour days are slowly killing my brains ability to function).

XD, that's pretty much QP picks in the lower levels.

  5. Skritt Stashes are disabled because of a exploit that allowed you to open them without consuming a contract. -_-; I just want to farm them legit. Hopefully they fix them from getting stuck in rocks too if anything.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Damn it. I didn't even get any yesterday because I was so focused on getting my ranger to ember bay just so I could farm them easier with her perma-quickness. x_x

The portal scroll is only 1000 ub. XD

I only have 5k unbound magic tho. I still have to max out my karma boost and it'll cost me 5k unbound magic and 200 bloodstone rubies for that ascended back pack with viper stats... Yeah I'm thinking about making that viper set for my necro again. XD

  6. This link sums up my BF1 experience with granades of all types. https://m.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/5eijsc/battlefield_is_a_team_based_game/

  7. So they are making more Code Geass, and Lelouch is going to be in it? Um what? Plz Sunrise. I just watched one of the most well crafted stories with amazing closure, and now there is going to be more? I wonder how?

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I got a notification about it from myanimelist the other day. It feels like a cash grab to me at this point. It ended perfectly and now they're going to negate the best stuff from the original series by bringing people back from the dead. This is why I stopped watching Gotham. When nobody dies or they just come back to life then there is no more sense of danger or purpose.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Unless Lelouch becomes an immortal like CC and they explain it well, I don't see how it can work. But if he does and gives someone else the power of Geass, then it may be interesting.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That could be a good plot twist.

  8. The end of Feb through the end of March looks great for gaming to me. Nier Automata, Zelda, and Mass Effect. It been a while since there has been back to back to back games I wanted to play.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

About the only thing I'm looking forward to is Mass Effect (and I'm somewhat on the fence about that, I'm not letting the hype draw me in this time around like I did BF1. I'll pre-order it most likely but unlike with ME3 I won't get the CE).

With funds still being limited I gotta pick and choose my games carefully (and while Zelda does look good I can't afford to drop $300 + whatever Zelda will cost just to play it). Nier looks good but I can't justify dropping money on another game when I still have a backlog to go through (not as terrible as Sledge's but it's still hefty and its all games that require more then 40 hours to get through (I'm looking at you Skyrim, DA, and FFX/X-2)).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I just realized Horizon Zero Dawn is mixed in there too. X_x too much.

      Strider Hiryu

Ah fuck I forgot about it as well. Shit, guess I'm going to broke for awhile

  9. Sadly I had to give some money to Gamestop for a Pro Controller. I really wanted a charging grip, but no one has them and when they come up, people snatch them up so fast you don't even get the email notification you signed up for that they're available. I wish people would wait instead of giving money to resellers on Ebay. If they all got burnt, no one would do this stupid garbage. I've been trying to help a friend get a preorder on a Switch, but every time someone posts on reddit that someone it taking preorders they are gone within 8 minutes of the post. Its amazing how people can dedicate their time and sit there all day hitting refresh on every retailer site and reddit.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its Nintendo's fault for consistently making a small supply of every product. Nintendo probably has the largest share of video game products resold on ebay. Even now on ebay the majority of the resold Switchs are being sold for $450+. I've read plenty of articles and forum topics on places like cheap ass gamer and others where people openly talk about how they would buy the maximum of a game when it goes on sale for resale. Same with consoles, unless there is a limit on the site, there are people that will drop $2k on as many consoles they can order to sell on ebay because they could easily make a 75% profit on their investment.

I guarantee the website everyone on reddit is looking at is this:

      https://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/consoles/nintendoswitch/

Don't look at reddit, watch this site instead. Bots constantly refresh the seller's sites to see when something is available again. Once it is, it'll be on this first, then 5 mins later will show up on reddit after someone get their pre-order secured. This is the site I looked at religiously when I was pre-ordering my PS4 and it worked great for me.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Pfft, Pro Controllers. Who uses those? :P

Meh, this is why you don't pre-order consoles. It's just not worth the hassle trying to find a place to get a pre-order at and who needs a console at launch honestly (especially with the lack of launch titles the Switch even has)? This is why I wait a few months until stores get more stock in before I buy my consoles (worked wonders for when I bought my PS4 (though I did have to go to 4 different stores before I finally found one that had them in stock (ironically it was Wal-Mart in which I could of just bought one at the one I worked at))). Ironically I love how Nintendo said there wouldn't be a stock shortage for this launch and we already have one a month before its release. GG Nintendo, way to drop the ball again.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I must play Zelda tho XD. No one has the charging grip, and gamestop was the only one with the pro controller in stock. I'm not waiting 3 hours for the joy cons to charge the day I get my Switch. I'm gonna boot it up and play immediately. As far as I know the only way the Joycons charge is via the charging grip or connecting it to the switch in mobile mode, but docked. I'm not playing on a small screen either while I wait for Joy Cons to charge. Sure they'll have some juice in them upon arrival, but probably a few hours at best.

  10. That feeling soloing the boss with corpses cheering you on, because everyone else fell to their death on Thaumanova Reactor, and the boss has 30% HP left. XD I did it for the first time since the change. The heat room isn't that bad when done as a group. But having to do 4 rooms now makes it my least favorite even more so. I also had to do the Not So Secret JP again for Astralaria. WTF? Not So Secret and SW? The two worst JP in the game for this journey. -_-;

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

XD Just wait until tier 4, you'll probably have to do those JP and fractal all over again. XD

What benefit is there for having the entire group do the heat room? I still haven't made it across once. I never tried it with a cooling rod tho.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

You can stagger the cooling rod shields off CD. With 4 people having a rod, If you do it right, you should make it to the end no problem. Actual only 2 are needed because the cd finishes by the time 1 shield completes. I had a pretty good group. The boss for thauma was their only screw up. We cleared uncatagorized with ease, and we cleared Choas bonfires on the first try after me and the party leader explained it to the other 3 that didn't know what to do... Oh and we melted subject 6 in seconds. What is funny about the thauma boss is you actually have a special action key now that stops 1 platform from dissappearing. It has a heafty CD, but you should be able to use it once per each time someone gets targeted.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That makes so much more sense now.

      DeathscytheX

Soulbeast looks amazing too. I'll be pissed if this isn't real, its the most elaborate fake ever if thats the case. All the specs look amazing.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That is absolutely the most elaborate fake leaks for this game I've ever seen. I'm going to assume its all legit and Anet has a serious leak issue with their NDA. Mounts look huge, if those are true to scale, I wonder if they'll ever be implemented in the core or HoT maps. If a zerg wasn't bad enough lag at world bosses, imagine the massive fps drop when everyone pops on a mount and the total model size of the zerg is doubled. Anet better have upgraded their engine to be able to handle it or GW2 will become one of the best looking games at a constant 20 fps. x_x

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Unless they coded them like combat tonics. Then it might be ok. I want to say I've seen a ton of snowballs on my screen and it didn't make the fps drop worse than it already was. If I had to guess they leaked them on purpose though. People were starting to get disgruntled again about leggy weapons 2.0 and how they weren't gonna be done. This is def a mood changer.

  12. Triple Trouble was kind enough to give me another Regurgitated Armor box. I now I have all the skins... plus an extra box because I didn't realize that there were no boots or leggings skins. I opened all the boxes I've saved up and Vipered my Ranger. I just need trinkets and a back piece which I'm currently working on to give to her. Even with what I have right now, shes fun to play again. LB/S/A got left in the dust after the power creep and it just wasn't up to par. I'm melting things again with SB/A/T.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I'm tempted to viper mine out with the ascended armor set I got from pvp, but I'm a bit hesitant with the expansion leaks indicating it'd be more focused on power. Then again that is easily 4-5 months away still and swapping ascended armor isn't that costly. Are you using the build from metabattle with the odd combo of 4/2 different runes?

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Nope. The nightmare runes are TA dungeon. I'd  have to do a reward track. I might do it later but I went all trapper runes for now.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Twilight Arbor was daily today. A couple quick paths and those runes can be yours! XD I think its stupid that some meta builds are using these old dungeon runes. I saw a wvw build months ago that used runes from Honor of the Waves dungeon. wtf. XD

  13. Its pretty irritating how inconsistently YouTube runs on Firefox. Even at 40mpbs it still buffers and stalls on long videos.. but only for certain videos and channels. Sometimes I can watch an hour video no issue, sometimes I can't. But on Chrome it always works... because you know, google owns both. -_-;. Its bullshit. Anytime I want to watch Wooden Potatoes I pretty much have to do it on chrome.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Firefox's quality has gone to shit over the years. But some of the issues might be related to the ad blocking addons I have running. uBlock Origin and Ad Block Plus keep firefox my primary browser tho. Too many websites are assholes with advertisements. Google Chrome is coming out with an update that is supposed to block annoying ads by default. Popups, auto play videos, blocking content ads. If that actually happens I might switch over to chrome completely. Especially if this does apply to their android browser. I don't mind some ads, but to hell if I'll even try to keep reading a page on my phone when I have to click 3 different 1 centimeter x's to close ads blocking all the text I'm trying to read.

      Source:

      https://www.wsj.com/articles/google-plans-ad-blocking-feature-in-popular-chrome-browser-1492643233

I usually watch youtube on my roku stick with a combo of the youtube app on my phone to act as a remote control. It works pretty good.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Anytime I visit a page, mostly news articles and they don't give me any option without turning off ad blocker I just leave. I'm not going to click your ads ever, so you aren't losing revenue. I don't need to see what I just looked at/bought from Amazon. The only thing you're losing is a viewer and you're gaining recommendation to never visit your site via word of mouth. Adblock Plus needs to update its code to avoid these detectors.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Those annoying detectors are using javascript. So I ended up getting a javascript off/on toggle add on for pages like that. As soon as I see the message, I click the toggle, hit refresh, read the article, close the page and turn javascript back on. Its getting ridiculous to avoid ads just to read a single page of text. Without adblock I get more online ads per content than I do with watching a movie on cable. btw, uBlock Origin is better than adblock plus now. I have both on at the same time. But the problem I'm getting now is firefox open with a single page is taking up 5% of my cpu and over half a gig of memory. I don't know if its because of firefox being optimized shittily or if its the addons causing the issue. Meanwhile, google chrome will sit with .02 cpu usage (if that) after a page is loaded and only take up roughly 300 mb of ram over its multiple processes combined.

  14. My top 5 games I've played since last E3.

    1. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    2. NieR: Automata
    3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
    4. Ratchet & Clank
    5. Battlefield 1 Campaign

That's pretty loose because technically Uncharted 4 came out a month before last E3, but I didn't play it until a few months after it came out. I tried not to put multiplayer/MMOs in there, but so little games impressed me enough into a purchase, this is the list I was left with. BF1's Campaign was pretty damn good though, despite my grudge against the MP as a whole, I can't overlook that. The episodic nature of it really worked well, and the finale of each were really epic. Kudos to DICE for finally making a competent single player experience outside of Bad Company.

My first 2 are leaps and bounds above the rest of the list. Uncharted 4 was outstanding, but in my heart and mind, I can't find it to be super memorable. This is because I played 1-4 in 5-6 days, and a lot of it jumbles to together into one big game. While 4 had amazing visuals, and more polished controls, it was more of the same from the last 3. But honestly that's not bad at all. The story and characters I loved very much, which caused me to buy the 4th immediately after beating the collection.

Zelda brought something completely new to the series, while keeping it very familiar. It's a masterpiece I hope everyone gets to enjoy. NeiR was just something new and refreshing from the norm. Despite its many flaws, its one of my favorite games of all time. I didn't think I'd like having to play through multiple times to get the real ending, but I actually did. The combat, story, and above all the music was just spectacular. It's def one of those games that not enough people will get to play because it fell through the cracks.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

The BF1 campaign was the best content DICE has ever made. I really need to play Uncharted 4. I was going to try it the other day but PSN's download speeds are so garbage it took my ps4 8 hours to download the game completely even though I have 200 mpbs connection.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Hmmmm. I dunno if I'd put BF1 over BFBC2's campaign. If you ever see it on the cheap for, its worth picking up for the campaign even if no one plays the MP anymore.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I probably own it on my origin account. I'll have to check it later.

  15. -_-; wtf... Its 6v1 on WvW this week... both of our opponents are triple link servers. How is that even fair? We're getting destroyed in skirmishes because they K-train the whole map. They can't fight worth anything because were were farming them hard. But every time we dug out of last place we were instantly back in it within seconds of taking a keep or tower. They probably have like 3 commanders from each server zerging around the map capping stuff. How did Tarnish Coast get so bad that it needs 2 servers linked to it? Feels like not too long ago it was the weekly battle of JQ/BG/TC.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I finished out my Wood Chest tonight to retain my loyalty pip. I took a break from TWD todo this, but thats all I'll probably play this week with whats going on. Its not worth getting last place pips to get to gold.

On a side note, how has purging flames not been nerfed... I mean screw epidemic, at least you have a chance to condi clear it. I drop PF on an unsuspecting zerg and I instadown 6-7 people at once. XD It's pretty absurd. Sometimes my loot feed starts rolling like I'm in the Mad King's Labyrinth.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I love purging flames. So many instant kills with it. XD the synergy with dire equipment and that one trait that procs burns on hits is too damn OP. Its more damage than berserkers longbow burst attacks.. It's easily as powerful as berserkers gunflame bursts used to be before it was nerfed.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Well.. I think I'm going to hold off on trying to get WvW skirmish tickets for the foreseeable future until they change the system. I already have 1 legendary back piece and I'm close to getting the pvp one. The wvw one looks good, but I don't have the time for it. I was getting 2 pips per tick yesterday just to finish off my wood chest for 10 whopping tickets. If the reward tracks would reset monthly instead of weekly it'd be a much more enjoyable system since the rewards scale with the higher chests. If anything there should have been a wvw season that runs opposite the pvp league seasons. Weekly resetting the reward track is too much for me. The loyatly pip is dumb too since it only applys to the reward track you last completed. I made it through the wood chest the week before so I get an extra 1 pip per tick... until I finish the wood chest, then that loyalty pip is removed because I'm past the tier I finished the week before.

They should have introduced 2 new currencies like how pvp has claim tickets and ascended shards of glory. The tickets can be accumulated at about the same speed in pvp as the tickets in wvw, but ascended shards of glory come in much higher numbers for buying ascended gear. But in wvw there is only claim tickets and the vendors needs ass tons of them. I bought the first tier of the pvp back piece precursor for 10 tickets.. in wvw the first tier costs 350 tickets. wtf. I can get 10 claim tickets in pvp in about an hour or a little more depending on how high a chest tier I'm at. In wvw it takes me 4 hours to get 10 claim tickets. I'll keep playing some wvw for gifts of battle and for fun, but I'm not going to even bother playing enough to get these tickets for this cost of time. At 4 hours a week for 10 tickets a week it'll take me 5 years to get this back piece. Its not casual friendly at all and I'd rather go back to playing Mass Effect or my back log of other games.

      What anet needs to do is change the vendors completely and introduce ascended memories of battle currency. The back piece items should have the same cost as the pvp one and ascended memories of battle can be used for the ascended armor/weapons. As well as having a wvw league season instead of weekly reset, I bet alot more people would enjoy it. As it is now people have to dedicate 30+ hours a week to finish the entire reward track. And outnumbered pips is dumb. I was on a map that was outnumbered, prediction says I'll get 7 pips but some guy in map chat likes to call out the outnumbered map. 2 seconds before the pip rewards hit, people load into the map, I get 2 flipping pips because outnumbered is immediately negated. They all leave and my next pip prediction is 7 again when I know for a fact the same shit will happen again. -_-;

  16. I just finished Drifters on Funimation. Its from the same people that made Hellsing. This was a better product IMO. I honestly don't get all the love for Hellsing as its ending is shit, and a lot of stuff is never resolved. The premise of Drifters is that legendary historical warriors/fighters/tacticians passed on to a different realm when they died and end up on the good or evil side of a new war. You have people like Rasputin, Anastasia, Joan of Arc, Sundance Kid, Butch Cassidy, and a lot of Japanese legends... most notably Oda Nobunaga. Whats strikingly controversial is that Jesus is pretty much an evil overlord, even though they cover his face and call him the "Black King" the fact that he has holes in his hands, and can heal, and produce food out of nothing makes me laugh when I looked it up and the wiki says "His identity is still a mystery". XDYou can just listen to the stuff he says and know who it is. Anyways, the action is great, the gore is on the same level of Hellsing, and the story is really good. Season 2 should be coming out in the future.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

The thing you have to remember about Hellsing is the manga was still publishing when the first series was created which is why is ended like it did (believe me when I tell you shit gets a lot darker and fucking crazy later in the manga). Hellsing Ultimate (the one you should watch (if you have and still have those thoughts I just don't know about you anymore :P) adapts the actual manga into 10 50 minute episodes (definitely the version to watch if you haven't, I've only see up to ep 4 but I have it all to watch, just need to find time to actually do so (so much shit to watch on Crunchyroll and I just started watching Rick and Morty so I have that to get caught up on as well)).

Meh, I might have to check that out if I find time to (Crunchyroll does have it so it wouldn't be out of my way to do so).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I did watch it all and I still didn't like the ending. XD I liked it better overall, but It just didn't do it for me. The animation for Drifters is on par with Hellsing Ultimate. I mean there is absolutely no doubt who made it. My only gripe is they threw so many different people in there, they all didn't get a lot of time. It mainly focused on the trio of Oda Nobunaga, Shimazu Toyohisa, and Nasu Suketaka Yoichi. They teased that Scipio Africanus and Hannibal would play a big part using their tactics to turn the tide of battle against the Black King, but Nobunaga seemed to have to have it under control. Then again it only covered a small part of the story with the promise of a new season at the end. I probably like this one better because I'm a history nerd and they just threw in a bunch of people I've studied in the past so I was geeking out, despite the crazy liberties the took. XD I also like how they took notable figures you wouldn't paint as evil and made them so. Its just an overall nice touch.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I just don't know about you then XD

I still don't know how Hellsing actually ends (like I said have not had time to finish Ultimate and I only read through volume 8 of the manga) but I still absolutely adore the show/manga. Chock it up to it being a Vampire that wasn't sparkly (thank you Twilight for forever ruining Vampires and Werewolves >.<) and a show/manga that was actually gory as all fucking hell (plus Father Anderson is one of my all time favorite characters).

  17. Tried to get back into No Man's Sky after the big patch... nah. They took away the boost jump. Having to constantly get back in your ship to take off and refill the booster fuel because the planet is hazardous is tedious. Your 2 levels of protection upgrades last all of 10 seconds before eating away at your shield is annoying annoying enough and wasn't buffed. They took away on foot mobility, so you can't go very far outside your ship or shelter unless its a rare planet that doesn't have a hot/cold/caustic/radioactive hazard. At least with that boost jump you could quickly get back to your ship or find shelter for your protection to recharge. Its just not for me.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I think the only reason some ppl are saying it's good now is because they can build stuff and finally see some random strangers in the game. Maybe they improved the campaign but i doubt it.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

They added a bunch of stuff. I was really lost TBH at the start. There was a lot of QoL improvements from using items to the scanner scanning animals further away. Fuel types seem to burn faster... which was my least favorite part of the game originally when it seemed you had to refuel with every use of everything. I mean I get using Hyperdrive once between refuels, but just taking off and landing on a non landing pad surface was pretty annoying. The mobility with the boost jump was great, especially when you upgraded its longevity. I could hit 6-7 things around my landing spot and run back, take off and pick somewhere else to land. Now I'd have to take off for 4-5, and sometimes all 6-7 of them. The only thing you can really do when you land now is gather resources around the area. Eh. I removed it from my PS4 last night.

      That sounds incredibly boring. XD

  18. Super Mario Odyssey comes out Friday. I'm pretty excited as it will be the first Mario game I've played since Sunshine. But Stranger Things also comes out that day, and I'm going to see Jigsaw that night. too much shit happening at once. X_X

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

lol. Skip jigsaw and marathon that game. :P I never played sunshine. My last Mario game was Mario 64. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Nah, it was a tradition for SAW 1-7, I asked off for it to keep it going. XD

Sunshine was amazing, they'll probably never port it unless it came with a special gamecube controller. The water jets were button pressure sensitive, and all 3 consoles ditched that tech this generation.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Wow its only a 5gig download. With as large as the game is that I've seen from E3, thats pretty crazy. BoTW is almost 14gb if you do digital. But I guess the vast scope of BoTW's map with its crazy terrain, towers, 100+ shrines, and 4 moving dungeons demands more.

  19. Holy cow there seems to be a subscription crate for everything now. AC Filters, Clothes, Bras, Candy, etc. XD I actually just signed up for Umai Crate. It seems to be the most unique and best value. Its just a box full of different Japanese instant ramens. I'll report if its any better than the cheap shitty ramen you can get at the grocery store. For $25 a month, the box seems to be full of 7-9 bags/boxes/cups of various types. If I'm not impressed with the first box, I'll cancel it and feel like it was worth trying something interesting. I watched a few youtube unboxings and taste tests and it seems to be pretty well received, even in the comments on their facebook posts. I recently had authentic ramen at a local hole in the wall and it was amazing. I always thought ramen was just that shitty Nissin stuff. XD Some of the videos I watched, its def a little more complex than just pouring hot water into noodles and a tiny spice packet. Some of them have multiple packets to enter in before and after water is added. And apparently there are suggested fresh add ons you can buy separately at the grocery store. Things you obviously can't dehydrate like hard boiled eggs.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Everything is rng now, even our food. Lol. Definitely let me know how that ramen turns out. I've had a few slightly fancy ones with multiple packets. It had a packet of freeze dried veggies, a spice packet and a broth packet. It wasn't that impressive tho. My favorite ramen is still the nong shim brand kimichi ramen. It has a nice spiciness to it that nothing else really matches in terms of flavor and its only $1.20 per bowl at the store. For some reason it's sold in the international section instead of with all the other ramen.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It was either this one or the Candy Club. I don't want to feel obligated to destroy 3 tubs of candy a month. It just seems so unhealthy. At least Ramen lasts a good while before having to be used. XD

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Before you know it you'll have a stock pile of ramen that'll turn into christmas presents. XD Everyone will remember it as the christmas you gave ramen to everyone. XD

  20. ANIME OVERLOAD!!! What a time to be alive! Netflix has 4 new anime that I I'll give a shot Starting with SWORDGAI and B: The Beginning. New Full Metal Panic and My Hero Academia coming soon. Dragon Ball Super is still being dubbed, and I'm currently enjoying the new Basiliks along with GARO Vanishing Line and Darling in the Franxx.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I noticed Netflix recommending alot more anime to me. I'm glad they increased their offerings. I'll start watching some soon. btw it looks like Dragon Ball Super ended in japan or it's on a long hiatus at this point now that it finished the current arc. I don't know how far behind the dub is but it'll probably be all caught up by summer based on the last episode I watched on toonami.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

There are spoilers all over Facebook, I even shared the last fight. XD it looks amazing, but since its subbed I still look forward to seeing all of the Tournament of Power dubbed. I just finished the tournament between Universe 6 and 7 last week. That's all they have dubbed on funi. They generally lag behind if CN gets the rights to air it.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Correction, I got up to Goku Black and Goku facing off for the first time. They end in the middle of arcs for some reason and it's really weird. I held off on the first tournament on purpose when I saw it didn't finish it on dub.

  21. The dub of first ep of My Hero Academia Season 3 finally came out so I caught up on the first four. Holy crap, they aren't wasting any time this season. Shit is already going down! Finished Garo Vanishing Line. It was really good, I want a second season of this era, and they left it open for one. I'm pretty pumped about the movie that takes place in the first era though. Overlord Season 2 was kind of a let down for me. The action was still good but it felt like the season had no real beginning or end... it was like the middle of a season, and there was no apparent turning point or climax. The lizard people happened, and then this whole thing with six arms... but nothing was resolved. Hopefully season 3 is more structured.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

And I just finished Season 2 of Blood Blockade Battlefront. Pretty fun little series. Decent mix of humor and action.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Season 2 of Overlord is a lot of setup for whats to come in the next season (Ainz has some pretty big plans according to what I've read). I'm not expecting a lot of action for season 3 or at least the first half but I'm sure we'll be rewarded quite handsomely (if they adapt the chapters in order like they have been). Like I said before things should get quite a bit more interesting going forward.

    3. Sledgstone

I have my hero academia and flcl set to record on my dvr. Im looking forward to watching both series. :D

  22. 3 episodes into Stiens:Gate 0, and it's a feels trip. I liked the first one, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan. But this one is just tugging at my feelings with Okabe interacting with Amadeus. On a funny note, its wierd how everyone's tits got huge. Wtf? XDXD

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

XD leave it to you to notice the most important things.

It's been a rough ride and the way things are shaping up (based on all 5 eps) it's going to be another emotional roller coaster. I'm honestly enjoying this more then the first one just based on the emotional tone alone but I still say the first one was amazing in it's own right (I just wish the fucking games would go on sale x.x )

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It's kinda hard not to notice the first time Mayuri shows up. I'm like "wait what?" XD. It's an obvious difference.

  23. This has got to be Destiny's last run. Twice expecting people to pay for a Y2 overhaul can't be sustainable. I don't regret my purchase of D2 because I did get a lot of fun out of it. Bungie just has no idea how to balance a game to appease hard core and causal players. They've reverted the game to get max progression via raids again so I'll probably never play since my clan died off months ago. They either give it all to you easily or make grueling time gates and obnoxiously low drop rates. Like there is no in between here? Now they have some new $100 million dollar deal for a new IP which makes me think they are giving up on Destiny. With even COD ditching the MP season pass, the days of paid DLC are going away and yet Bungie is trying to milk two season passes out of each game. Meanwhile Overwatch is still healthy after 2 years.. match queues are pretty much the same as they were 6 months after launch. No DLC, free heroes and maps, along with constant rebalancing and hero reworks for underpowered characters. I REALLY hope Battlefield V gets this level of support for 2 years until the next main BF game comes out. I'm getting a bad vibe that the launch game will only have like 5 maps or some BS "because Tides of War". Yeah we get it, we'll progres along with WW2, but give us the same amount of maps every launch title has had. Hopefully The Division 2 comes out swinging from lessons learned unlike Bungie. The Division is in a good state right now and if they can release it with all the content this last free patch had, they'll be good to go. Really I just want games to be successes again, I want to stress over what to play instead of waiting for something that's hopefully worth my time. I hope Anthem is amazing for BioWare's sake, and I hope Borderlands 3 is going to be amazing as well.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

It saddens me that Bungie thinks they can get away with this shit. I mean the expansion looks good (Bladedance making a comeback?) but honestly it's not worth the price tag (especially considering I would need to drop money to get get Curse and Warmind just to play it) or the disappointment tied to it once it's apparent they'll only deliver on half the promises they made. It's baffling how people still give this company money (and how many still praise how great D2 is, even after all the bullshit they've pulled).

Honestly as long as BFV is half of what they're talking about I'll be happy (even if it's only 5 maps but I doubt it, DICE has never really screwed us that badly. Their bosses on the other hand are another story). I won't hold my breath for The Division 2. Outside of R6S Ubisoft has done nothing to make me think it'll be any better than The Division (a game that still hasn't had any story progression beyond how it ended). True the game is in a better place but how long did it take? Are you really ready to invest money into a game that will probably have the same start as the first one? I'm not and unless I'm impressed by what I see once it releases I probably won't (don't get me wrong, I liked The Division for what it was. The story was good and the game play was solid but it just got so tedious without a group to play with. Plus after a while the grind for better gear got boring and wasn't as rewarding as it is in other games (I don't mind grinding gear but I hate grinding when the chances are slim to none that I'll get anything good (I mean come on I still play FFXIV, a game designed to be a grind and I fucking love it because I always feel like I'm working for something tangible))).

Anthem is BioWare's swan song. It better be good because if it isn't we might not see BioWare for much longer. I really hope it's everything they promise it to be but I'm tempering my expectations. I refuse to get hyped by all the youtubers making video's about it or to get hyped in general. I want tangible proof this game is worth my money and that won't come until we get game play footage and actual news worth getting hyped about. Gaming is leaving nothing but a bad taste in my mouth as of late and games as good as Detroit are becoming few and far between (which as a lovely surprise by how good the game actually was). I have only one game this year I've been looking forward to and that's Ace Combat 7 because those games are the only ones I get hyped for (I've never been disappointed by the main Ace series (numbered titles, Assault Horizon was thankfully not a main series staple because you and I both know how much that game sucked)). I just wish we'd get more information on it.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Maybe Bungie's biggest flaw was making the Destiny engine to begin with. They made it playable on the old generation of game consoles and ever since then it's been held back. Perhaps Bungie could make an amazing game if they used an existing game engine and focused soley on plot and gameplay mechanics. But then again they made Destiny 2 just like Destiny 1.. eh.

Its hard for me to get hyped for any game and its been that way for a long time. I'd be hyped for BFV, but after BF1 I still don't think DICE go in the right direction. But if it has BF4's progression system and predictive recoil instead of bullet randomization crap that could really motivate me to buy it.

The only game coming out this year that I am really interested in and will most likely pre-order is Tomb Raider 3. The first and second were both solid games with plot and action and I loved the gameplay.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Nier Automata, Breath of the Wild, and God of War are probably the best games I've played as far as enjoyment factor in the past 5 years. They're all single player games. The problem with MP experiences now is balance is prioritized over fun. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 after the Javelin Glitch and Model 87s were nerfed was just a fucking blast to play... because EVERYTHING was OP as shit... the models were so OP that they were more OP than all the OP stuff. XD The game mechanically may have been a mess, but everyone was on an equal playing field with just about every gun being viable because you could choose in what way to be OP. It balanced itself. That was fun. Basically Esports ruined MP games. Overwatch is about the only game I enjoy that is balanced fairly well... but its purely an objective game with the need for strategy. MW2 demolition, you shoot 4 tubes around the bomb, chuck your nades, call in the air strike, pave low, arm the bomb, and post up the choke point and obliterate everyone that funnels in. XD  Ah back when I try hard carried teams to victory. Now if a MP game can't be esports, they just don't fool with making them.

  24. When I watched Tokyo Ghoul season 1 and 2 a few years ago, I thought it was the most over hyped pile of shit I've ever seen. Apparently it didn't follow the manga at all. I've been watching season 3 just because its a simuldub, and while I find it more entertaining, it's so disjointed from the first two seasons, it doesn't make any sense as a whole. Apparently they somewhat decided to start following the manga after skipping a few arcs? Apparently they announced season 4 and it's going to skip more between 3 and 4? What a train wreck... They might as well start over.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I've never seen it but damn that sounds like a disaster.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Don't waste your time. Its crazy how much hype and promotion this anime got. I could imagine how pissed I'd be if it was my favorite manga and they just took random parts of it and adapted it with a ton of liberties. Its worse than passing up the manga and making it up as you go.

The first season was just the main protagonist gets turned into a ghoul. He cries a bunch trying to reject his new reality until he is tortured into being a badass... or so we thought, until season two just makes a train wreck out of it. He joins the antagonist organization and they break some powerful ghoul out of a prison... and you never see that guy again afterwards... there wasn't even an explanation as to why they did it. XD Its like they just did it to showcase a fight. At the end of the season the protagonist disappears. So season 3 starts and he's now apart of a ghoul hunting section of law enforcement, with his personality and memories wiped. He has a new identity and he leads a squad of demi-ghouls while struggling to cope with his old persona leaking through sometimes. No explanation of how, when, or why the most notorious and wanted ghoul was captured and brain washed rather than killed. Apparently you have to read the manga to find out.

Its almost like making Dragonball starting with the General Tao arc, then skipping to the Cell Games of DBZ, and then season 3 takes place in the Universe 6 v 7 arc of DBS. XD

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lmao. XD wow that's to crazy. XD

  25. I don't drink much soda anymore unless I'm at the theater or some other public event. But every time I see something new I gotta try it. My grocery store got some new specialty sodas in this week. Some haven't come in yet that I sill want to try. I've already had Cheerwine before which is basically a Dr. Pepper variation clone. They had some Faygo with real sugar, and a Shirley Temple soda that was liquid diabetes. But there was one called Moxie and it was pretty fucking nasty. XD It didn't say what it was, so I assumed it was just some type of cola... which it was with a vile aftertaste that can only be described as bitter grapefruit extract with a pinch of dirt. Apparently its an old soft drink made in the late 1800's and it should have stayed there because its nasty AF.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I remember trying a cab of TaB back in the 80s. That was the nastiest soda I ever drank. XD faygo with real sugar sounds good. I used too drink faygo all the time when I was a kid.
