  1. I'm starting to get really good with Genji. I got gold in eliminations several times tonight, and carried at 51% kill participation in one of my matches. And with a buff to his ult in the pipeline, I won't have to worry about my fun getting nerfed for a while. XD There are few things that feel amazing in this game. Hooking airborne Phara with Roadhog, Hooking Tracer with Roadhog, Killing a good Zarya period, and deflecting an ult back at the enemy team with Genji... because I totally got McCree good. XD

  2. That feeling soloing the boss with corpses cheering you on, because everyone else fell to their death on Thaumanova Reactor, and the boss has 30% HP left. XD I did it for the first time since the change. The heat room isn't that bad when done as a group. But having to do 4 rooms now makes it my least favorite even more so. I also had to do the Not So Secret JP again for Astralaria. WTF? Not So Secret and SW? The two worst JP in the game for this journey. -_-;

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

XD Just wait until tier 4, you'll probably have to do those JP and fractal all over again. XD

What benefit is there for having the entire group do the heat room? I still haven't made it across once. I never tried it with a cooling rod tho.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

You can stagger the cooling rod shields off CD. With 4 people having a rod, If you do it right, you should make it to the end no problem. Actual only 2 are needed because the cd finishes by the time 1 shield completes. I had a pretty good group. The boss for thauma was their only screw up. We cleared uncatagorized with ease, and we cleared Choas bonfires on the first try after me and the party leader explained it to the other 3 that didn't know what to do... Oh and we melted subject 6 in seconds. What is funny about the thauma boss is you actually have a special action key now that stops 1 platform from dissappearing. It has a heafty CD, but you should be able to use it once per each time someone gets targeted.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That makes so much more sense now.

  3. I feel sorry for anyone that wanted to buy a NES classic at retail price. The last of them will be shipped out til the end of the month. Never wanted one myself, but a lot of friends did. This is why emulators will always be a thing.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

My younger brother bought one at retail price just 2 days ago. lol. Lucky for him since he's wanted it for months now. I bet these will jump up in price on ebay soon. Nintendo's shitty supply and demand issues really make me want to avoid their products. I feel like if I'm really interested in something from their company they'll somehow screw it up so more scalpers can profit. If they announce a SNES classic next, everyone will assume it'll be the same shitty supply and buy the absolute hell out of them to resell.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

They've tripled in price on ebay. I wish I could stumble into. 3 of them and make a quick $1000.

  4. If you think you're hot shit in Overwatch and tea bag me, I'll swap to Junkrat and make you're life a living hell. Thats what some asshole playing Reaper learned tonight. I generally don't play my two best characters as much as I want to because I've been expanding my skill set. Dude got the best of me multiple times when I was playing McCree the previous round, then he did that, and went on to die 15 times in a match because of me.... including getting a rip tire to the face 4 times, and every time he managed to kill me, he died from my martyrdom.... and they lost the match, and he left after that. XD

  5. NieR: Automata's soundtrack is probably my favorite for a game in a very long time. It's been a while since a game's tune gets stuck in a loop in my head through out the day. I haven't loved the music for a game this much since God of War and Dark Cloud.

  6. Just finished Mob Psycho 100. It was an entertaining watch. It went from bat shit crazy to serious crazy half way through. The fights were good, and I enjoyed the "dated animation" approach.

  7. I found my first great fairy fountain in BoTW, its probably one of the most beautiful places in all of gaming. It sent chills up my spine when I heard the music. This game doesn't feature heavily thematic background music, a lot of it are very subtle takes on the classic tunes, but the fairy jingle was as traditional as always.

  8. GANTZ:O is on Netflix. I wasn't aware of its existence. Its pretty good, but you'd appreciate it more if you watched the original series. I thought it was a sequel or prequel movie at first and then I realized some of the same characters are in it, but its discombobulated in their relationship with each other. They flip the main character roll to someone else, and make the original main character look like a decent guy when he was just a whiny prick in the original. XD

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Probably the main character being a whiney bitch. XD

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

He's part of the reason but there's more to it than him (in fact I hated most of the characters to begin with, most of them were annoying and none of them really brought anything to the show). Honestly I just didn't feel it was that great of a show, entertaining yes but I feel other shows with similar premises did better jobs then this show at selling me (Mirai Nikki (I forget its English name but I know you've seen it), while not exactly the same premise, is a much better show then this and it plays its own death game (though for a different prize)).

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah Future Diary is superior in every way. I guess I just tend to like death game shows altogether. It's also one of Funi's worst dubs. The Movie is better in a lot of ways even though it's CG. But sadly it's just one mission.

  9. Nintendo Switch wont support bluetooth which is kinda odd. So I bought a dongle for my TV in hopes I can use my PS4 turtles just for the sound. Nintendo Switch wont support bluetooth which is kinda odd. So I bought a dongle for my TV in hopes I can use my PS4 turtles just for the sound.

You double posted in the same post. lol. Nintendo is really cutting corners on the Switch to yield maximum profits. They must have been really screwed by the Wii U's sales so bad that they have to get some serious company revenue going. I just read an article and someone is recommending a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack of the switch.

-_- I deleted the first one because of a typo, and the forum gets all crazy sometimes when you try to Cntl+V. It didn't show when I did it and hit enter.

I already ordered a dongle from amazon. I can use my turtles directly with the TV, but I'm too lazy to keep unplugging it from the PS4 to the TV and usb phone charger for power. I could just turn the PS4 on, but then the room would get hot. -_-; Nintendo clearly put all their eggs on people playing this thing on the run, which isn't what the majority of people are going to use it for TBH. Its more 50/50 than anything.

  10. I just saw the most efficient DS in GW2 history. 48 minute finish, no blighted room resets, and a 1 burn mouth kill. The bomb site landed on the island next to the mouth attack, we had perfect might stack and CC. Damn it, was satisfying.

  11. The new current event was amazing on GW2 because I got to rekt Trahearne XD. Riannoc was way more powerful than him. Trahearne couldn't even put a dent in my HP as I destroyed his break bar and melted him.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I highly enjoyed that fight too. XD I liked that Trahearne actually attacked with his flesh golems that we only saw that one time in the PS. People probably forgot he was actually a necromancer initially. They should have given him reaper shroud for the fight just to screw with everyone. XD

  12. I used 56 Machetes on DS and still didn't get the charged horn and focus part. I can do DS 2 more times for a guaranteed part from the big chest, which is probably what I'll have to do because I can't afford to buy any machetes with this grind. What is funny is that I went to AB afterwards and it happened to be a finished map so I looted all the chests without helping the meta. XD It helped me finish up the machined staff and in turn I finished up the Druid staff collection.

Now I'm wishing I bought all the mystic weapon skins back when they were 10g each. They're upwards of 50g each now because of Mystic Coin prices. I'll need one for each spec weapon... thankfully staff counts for DD's staff as well. I def want a free asc warhorn so next time I see that Trixi person doing an HoT run I'll take my Ele along because I'll never be able to bare it otherwise.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I think only the plated weapons unlock the machined weapons. Might want to check anyways because so much crap pops up on the feed when you open the boss chest you could have missed it. That's why I wanted to unlock all the rest at once so I wasn't missing strikes on pods for them. I got most of them with the first 10 machetes I used and then I got 2 more before I ran out. It was pretty disheartening since machetes just don't drop like chak acid and crowbars. I could do a chain event on TD and have 20-30 chak acid easy. You're lucky to get 3 for an entire DS run before you pick the box that gives you 12 from the meta completion bouncy chest.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thats a good idea then. I've been using that leyline convertor every day for the free machete. I think I'm up to 50 of them again. Mostly because the last time I did DS I had left over machetes since I've only done DS about 6-7 times now. lol.

Try looking at Lfg around 30 min into it. I caught a group at the blighting tree rooms before the mouth. Got a nice short DS.

  13. Mediacom sent us a new modem, apparently our service was upgraded and our modem was out of date, I now get 60mbps instead of 20. sweeet.

  14. I finally managed to flip something for a massive profit on GW2. Apparently I bought a few Superior Runes of Antitoxin pre HoT an tossed them in my old guild's bank. They were barely worth 60s each when I bought them according to GW2Spidy, and today they are worth 9g each. I'll make 57g when they all sell. At long last a successful flip. XD All the rest of the runes I bought are still worthless.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Good flip! XD When you collect those profits, smile like this...

  15. Trying to get better with Thief. The personal DPS is amazing, but damn you can't take a critical hit. I did manage to solo the lumber yard event in Lake Doric and prevented all the ghost bandits from making off with the lumber. WTF the ship event is 1000x harder and TTS couldn't even stop the White Mantle from making off with supplies. It doesn't help that one is a Mesmer that just instantly ports off with a bag of goods. The Lumber yard just has a shit ton of spider adds which would get annoying if I couldn't melt them all with staff 5.

Out of all the classes I believe Daredevil will remain the superior option over its new elite spec for the expansion. I dont see Rifle thief being better than DD. Chronomancer will probably be there as well for raids. Guardian's virtues and utilities will have to be amazing to give up traps. I'm biasly hopeful about Scourge because it just sounds badass. If its true Viper Burnmancer could be insane.

wtf... the entire rotation is 1111111111111.. XD And people say warrior is the easiest class. pffft.. XD

      DeathscytheX

That's why I bring mine to TT now. Massive DPS with little work on the fingers. XD plus TT's tells are so slow and massive it's easy not to get hit and downed.

  16. Sadly I had to give some money to Gamestop for a Pro Controller. I really wanted a charging grip, but no one has them and when they come up, people snatch them up so fast you don't even get the email notification you signed up for that they're available. I wish people would wait instead of giving money to resellers on Ebay. If they all got burnt, no one would do this stupid garbage. I've been trying to help a friend get a preorder on a Switch, but every time someone posts on reddit that someone it taking preorders they are gone within 8 minutes of the post. Its amazing how people can dedicate their time and sit there all day hitting refresh on every retailer site and reddit.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its Nintendo's fault for consistently making a small supply of every product. Nintendo probably has the largest share of video game products resold on ebay. Even now on ebay the majority of the resold Switchs are being sold for $450+. I've read plenty of articles and forum topics on places like cheap ass gamer and others where people openly talk about how they would buy the maximum of a game when it goes on sale for resale. Same with consoles, unless there is a limit on the site, there are people that will drop $2k on as many consoles they can order to sell on ebay because they could easily make a 75% profit on their investment.

I guarantee the website everyone on reddit is looking at is this:

      https://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/consoles/nintendoswitch/

Don't look at reddit, watch this site instead. Bots constantly refresh the seller's sites to see when something is available again. Once it is, it'll be on this first, then 5 mins later will show up on reddit after someone get their pre-order secured. This is the site I looked at religiously when I was pre-ordering my PS4 and it worked great for me.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Pfft, Pro Controllers. Who uses those? :P

Meh, this is why you don't pre-order consoles. It's just not worth the hassle trying to find a place to get a pre-order at and who needs a console at launch honestly (especially with the lack of launch titles the Switch even has)? This is why I wait a few months until stores get more stock in before I buy my consoles (worked wonders for when I bought my PS4 (though I did have to go to 4 different stores before I finally found one that had them in stock (ironically it was Wal-Mart in which I could of just bought one at the one I worked at))). Ironically I love how Nintendo said there wouldn't be a stock shortage for this launch and we already have one a month before its release. GG Nintendo, way to drop the ball again.

I must play Zelda tho XD. No one has the charging grip, and gamestop was the only one with the pro controller in stock. I'm not waiting 3 hours for the joy cons to charge the day I get my Switch. I'm gonna boot it up and play immediately. As far as I know the only way the Joycons charge is via the charging grip or connecting it to the switch in mobile mode, but docked. I'm not playing on a small screen either while I wait for Joy Cons to charge. Sure they'll have some juice in them upon arrival, but probably a few hours at best.

  17. Nothing like knocking out all 9 Overwatch weekly wins in an hour. MMR was on my side for once.

  18. I'm more hyped than ever for Breath of the Wild after Amazon UK leaked the details that there will be 900 puzzles, 120 mini-dungeons, and 76 side quests. Zelda is one of the few games that I get into hardcore completionist mode. I put in for the week off when it arrives at my door step. XD

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I just finished this and It was probably my favorite Netflix Original. They slowly moved away from the comedy and kept it to a minimum as the story got serious. It worked well as keeping the type of comedy they used would have gotten bland with heavy usage.

I assume Netflix Original means they merely did the dub work. Between Seven Deadly Sins, Ajin, and Kuromukuro, I'd say they did a great job so far. Although they use a lot of the same talent that Funi uses. The female lead also voices Sailor Venus/Lucy Heartfilia and the male lead also voiced Vash the Stampede. I also found some familiars in the supporting cast like Milly Ashford, Inspector Zenigata, and Lelouch Lamperouge. A lot of the supporting cast hasn't done much in Funi's circle so it's nice to hear different voices every once in a while. Not everyone is as talented as Christopher Sabat.

  20. The end of Feb through the end of March looks great for gaming to me. Nier Automata, Zelda, and Mass Effect. It been a while since there has been back to back to back games I wanted to play.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

About the only thing I'm looking forward to is Mass Effect (and I'm somewhat on the fence about that, I'm not letting the hype draw me in this time around like I did BF1. I'll pre-order it most likely but unlike with ME3 I won't get the CE).

With funds still being limited I gotta pick and choose my games carefully (and while Zelda does look good I can't afford to drop $300 + whatever Zelda will cost just to play it). Nier looks good but I can't justify dropping money on another game when I still have a backlog to go through (not as terrible as Sledge's but it's still hefty and its all games that require more then 40 hours to get through (I'm looking at you Skyrim, DA, and FFX/X-2)).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I just realized Horizon Zero Dawn is mixed in there too. X_x too much.

    3. Strider Hiryu

Ah fuck I forgot about it as well. Shit, guess I'm going to broke for awhile

  21. Not too happy about the D.Va nerfs :/ She felt like she was in a good place. Zarya can tear her to shreds as is. That Triple Tank meta made an impact. Ana is getting a massive nerf, and Roadhog's hook can no longer pull off BS snags... although Tracer and Lucio will be almost impossible to pick off.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

If Roadhog will be able to “throw people behind you if you spin before the hook lands" that could be OP on some maps. Imagine a good roadhog troll constantly throwing people off ledges for a one hit kill. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah that's weird to me because it kind of breaks the line of sight rule if you turn fast and can't see them anymore. It wont be that big of a deal, because the only place you can do that is at the start of a few maps. Its already a strategy on maps you don't have to turn around on like the Well on Illios, or the temple on Napal. Its great to getting rid of the healer fast.

  22. I'm a few eps into "And you thought there is never a girl online?" Is like Haganai but a gamer's version. XD The loot box part made me chuckle when they all got let down by getting crap, along with other arguments using MMO jargon. The new influx of shows coming into Funi have been entertaining, although I've watched a few duds. Endride is probably one of their worst dubs I've seen in a long time, but I don't think the sub could fix how bad the characters were anyways. Shimoneta was pretty funny, as a lewd potty joke anime, but the ending was eh. Riddle Story of Devil was decent as well.

  23. Grimgar Fantasy and Ash, the only anime I've ever watched that punched you in the feels 4 episodes in.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Never even heard of it (another one that slipped by me), just got done reading a summary of it on Wikipedia. It actually sounds a lot like Log Horizon just in a different world and different circumstances (sounds like the main character is trapped in the world by himself with all the NPCs). I'll have to see if I can find fansubs for it as well, definitely sounds like a show I'd like.

The memory thing is actually a major part of the story later on in Season 2 when the players actually start realizing they're loosing their memories every time they die. At first its nothing major (insignificant stuff like names of places they used to visit and what not) but as they continue to die more and more memories disappear and they start turning into mindless Thralls (which is covered in the season 2 during one of the story arcs) who can think of nothing more then dieing in combat to get back home.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I'm almost done with Overlord. Meh. It's interesting enough to finish, but the main character and all his NPCs are so OP there hasn't been any real fights or sense of danger through out the whole thing.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I finished it last night. If there was a season 2, I'd watch it. After doing a bit of research on the light novel, the story sounds pretty good. The pace of the light novel is going to cause issues as its not even finished yet and its been going since 2012. This first season was just a really long introduction to the story. I feel like this anime shouldn't have come out for another 5 years. I also learned that Tokyo Ghoul basically Fullmetal Alchemisted it's manga... which would explain why its so shit IMO.

The Japanese take a totally different approach to making anime than the west does with TV shows or Movies (Minus TWD). It seems the Manga/Light Novel gets hot, and they immediately have to start making anime off of it and pump out episodes until they run out of material. Then they choose whether to make the right decision and wait, or say  "fuck this original content" and fuck it up more often than not. Also from what I understand, new season are solely based off DVD sales rather than TV raitings and advertisement revenue like here. I get most of it, but I dont get the jumping the gun so fast on these manga's. Its irritating to wait years for another season via Attack on Titan.

  24. I just finished My Hero Academia, and now I can't wait for Season 2. All Might is like Hercule that can actually back up his boasting. XDXD

  25. I don't know how anyone can bare to play open world PvE content with the Ele class... at least its base. I haven't unlocked tempest yet. It has no burst damage, its squishy, and its down state is ass. Highest DPS in the game... but only sustained. I can burst mobs better with every other class. Range attacks are the death of you. Doing the Jade Maw heart on Ember Bay was so frustrating, the lack of CC the class has is astonishing. I have no idea how everyone loves it. I'm sure its amazing in fractals and raids, but for casual play its a nightmare.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Ah, I see. That makes more sense. I can't stand thief or elementalist because the slightest lag will get you killed. I'd rather face tank everything with my necro, warrior, ranger or guardian. :D I have a mesmer but I suck with her unless I'm camping greatsword. XD

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Thief is pretty fun when you get the hang of it. I like it way more than ele because you can always escape if you're in serious danger. I just did bitterfrost completion with my ele and it was the most frustrating thing I've ever done in this game. Ele has no mobility for how squishy it is, its nearly impossible to skip mobs that can range attack. I died 3-4 times trying to get to the second POI in that starting cave, and I died about 3 more times trying to skip the mobs to get to the Svanir vista. With my Thief I could have just used Shadow Refuge, or the short bow skill 4 to skip them all easily.... or I could have fought and melted them all with psychical strikes unlike Ele's slow casting attacks. Unless the new elite spec is amazing, I'll never do WC with an Ele. The only thing I'd do with Ele is WvW because its a monster on the back line.
