  1. I'll give credit where its due. Microsoft had a pretty good E3 presentation. But sadly for them the XBox One X is like the Wii U in title. Its going to get them screwed up. On top of that what percentage of the base is going to be using 4k? $500 is steep. Its like the Goldstar 3DO... unnecessarily ahead of its time. They had some time exclusive stuff, but Sony had real exclusives like Spider-Man, Days Gone, and of course God of War.

Problem is why would you shell out money for a console with a 4k BD Player if you don't have a TV capable of playing it? I think this is the reason Sony didn't go with one, why waste money and potential sales due to cost when most of your consumer base doesn't have the tech to run it. Then again I say this after buying a PC more powerful than the XBoneX/PS4 Pro will ever be (though I do not have a 4k BD player or 4k monitor and I wouldn't waste money on it. 4k gaming is a pipe dream that only the super rich can afford and at that it's not true 4k gaming since most PC's aren't powerful enough to run it). I didn't really catch the conference since I've lost all interest in E3 (I get more excited for TGS and Gamescom) but I got the gist from Twitter (and most people were pretty underwhelmed by MS's showing).

Reason why Sony has more exclusives is because they are actually focused on gaming, not being the center entertainment hub of you're room (which is MS's big thing for the XBoneX).

I'm going to be salty when XBone gets the early access to all the Anthem content. I know its coming since they get the Battlefield stuff. Kinda sad that we got Activision this time when last gen it was flip flopped. I know I was glad to get Destiny exclusives before ya know... I never got them. *cough*Hawkmoon*cough*. But fuck COD.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

You know it's going to happen what with Playstation having timed exclusivity for Destiny 2 content and sadly it's only fair. The XBone hasn't really had any exclusive DLC for games that are really worth anything (their only real exclusive worth anything is Halo and those honestly aren't worth the console anymore).

  2. I'll pass on a review of the Fall simuldub lineup. Mostly because everything I like is bleeding into the new season minus SSSS.Gridman, ZOMBIE LAND SAGA, and Goblin Slayer. There rest was underwhelming, absolute trash, or not dubbed. As someone that enjoys a fanservice fest now and then, I don't get the appeal of SENRAN KAGURA, After 3 eps, I was like "holy shit this is so bad". XD I guess because it tries to be so serious. Anyways, I watched the first ep of Magical Girl Spec Ops, and it was pretty awesome. I think this is closer to what I was expecting from Raising Project. Seeing a magical girl slice up a bunch of people with a karambit was pretty awesome. XD Boogiepop and Others is interesting so far so I'll stick with it. Still waiting for Mob Psycho 100 season 2 to start the dub, and I guess I'll ride the hype train for The Rising of the Shield Hero when it starts.

I thought SAO had a simuldub? I could of sworn I saw it up on the Funimation app (I could be wrong, never actually looked into it since I watch in on CR). Honestly you're not missing much in the way of SAO. The beginning 6-7 eps were pretty much all set up for the current plot and we only recently started getting into some good ass fights but honestly its just more SAO without what made S1 and Mother's Rosario so awesome. I'm honestly not impressed by it (and by what I hear this arc really isn't that great in the books also (though it's technically still the current arc) but it could just be that I'm SAO'd out now that we've done 3 seasons, two short arcs, a movie, and the alternate SAO that aired (that was actually pretty good).

No idea what Rinshi is, never heard of it but a quick google search says it's based off a 4 panel manga that is based on the author's life so that might be why it's so out there (those type of shows usually are).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Nah, SAO is just a simulcast. I guess thats part of the thing with the CR split, there are 4-5 simulcasts this season when they use to be all dub outside of One Piece.

Ah, well Toonami will start airing it on the 9th of Feb if you really want to watch it.

  3. I'm a few eps into "And you thought there is never a girl online?" Is like Haganai but a gamer's version. XD The loot box part made me chuckle when they all got let down by getting crap, along with other arguments using MMO jargon. The new influx of shows coming into Funi have been entertaining, although I've watched a few duds. Endride is probably one of their worst dubs I've seen in a long time, but I don't think the sub could fix how bad the characters were anyways. Shimoneta was pretty funny, as a lewd potty joke anime, but the ending was eh. Riddle Story of Devil was decent as well.

  4. I'm about half way through Code Geass. I see where Aldnoah.Zero borrowed a lot of inspiration from. XD

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah Funi doesn't divide them up by season. It was just a Playlist of 50+ eps. The only thing I didn't like was they never explained CC and VV's origins. The whole be the villian to secretly be the hero was awesome. The most gut wrenching part was Euphemia's death.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Code geass is one of the best animes made in a long time. I don't know if CC or VV were explained in the OVAs or not because I haven't seen them yet. There's 4 ova but I never looked up the plots.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Funi is hit and miss about OVAs. sometimes they have them and sometimes they don't. I don't think they have any of the Fairy Tail OVAs. Plus when they do have them they list them all at the end. I don't know if some of these OVAs come out during the series or they all come out after but many times it has characters that died or had some plot twist that made them the villain, so its weird to watch something that reverted back to a time before the event.

  5. I'm almost done with GARO: Crimson Moon. I'm pretty disappointed with it. Its no where near as good as GARO: The Animation was. The story is pretty meh, and they reduced the golden night to some sailor moon type format where he only gets to transform at the end of the episode and wins in 2-3 moves. -_-; It reminds me how Blood-C is inferior to Blood+ as they both take place in similarly unconnected time frames.

  6. I'm more hyped than ever for Breath of the Wild after Amazon UK leaked the details that there will be 900 puzzles, 120 mini-dungeons, and 76 side quests. Zelda is one of the few games that I get into hardcore completionist mode. I put in for the week off when it arrives at my door step. XD

Lmao I thought you were confused when I read that. XD

  7. I'm starting to get really good with Genji. I got gold in eliminations several times tonight, and carried at 51% kill participation in one of my matches. And with a buff to his ult in the pipeline, I won't have to worry about my fun getting nerfed for a while. XD There are few things that feel amazing in this game. Hooking airborne Phara with Roadhog, Hooking Tracer with Roadhog, Killing a good Zarya period, and deflecting an ult back at the enemy team with Genji... because I totally got McCree good. XD

  8. I've lost a lot of interest in Anime recently with the COVID stuff. With the dubs at a crawl, I haven't consumed anywhere near as much stuff or kept up with it. the Fire Force dub is only on ep 3... and I finally got current with Fruits Basket Season 2 yesterday. (My god the feels are about to explode it seems). I also lost interest in mobile games... just one day I just stopped playing AL and Arknights. They started becoming a chore that I felt I had to play, and in the end it just wasn't enjoyable anymore I guess. I've lost interest in a lot of stuff recently, and regained interest in other areas. I guess its just a part of getting old. I ordered TWD Compendium 4, So I'll be reading that tomorrow to get ahead of the TV show again. Other than that I just really sit around, drink coffee and watch science videos on YT. I guess that's what I'm content with now these days. XD

The last mobile game I played was Snoopy Pop. XD But my phone sucks and games load too slow most of the time. That along with me taking videos of my dogs doing cute stuff I'm always running out of space.. then I delete a game to take more videos of my dogs. XD

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Don't really blame you any. I go through periods where I don't touch the ones I play for months except for doing the bare minimum (logging in for daily credit, "chore mode" if you will). Then again I don't really dedicate any time to playing them, I just jump on them when I have a free moment like when I'm waiting to go to work in the morning or when I'm just bored and don't want to do anything that will require more then a few moments to play (like waiting in queues on FFXIV).

As I always say mobile games aren't for everyone. Most people either get super addicted to them or they grow bored with them in a short amount of time. You'd be surprised how many mobile games I've played and dropped (it's sad really, last time I looked at my google play history I was honestly surprised by how many I've played and dropped over the years) due to lack of interest/time/boredom. Quite honestly I'm ready to do a purge again of games I play sparingly because at the moment I currently play 13 (some more then others but 13 all together) and it's getting a little too time consuming keeping up with chore mode (about a half an hour in the morning and an hour plus in the evening (mostly AL due to the Bismarck event)). I wouldn't say I'm addicted but I do admit that it does become somewhat of an obsession after awhile if you let it.

On the SR Bulins, I've never had any real trouble getting them (in fact I have like 4 currently that I have no use for since the two ships I currently have sitting in the dorm are already fully limit broken). Then again I don't hit the leveling and limit breaking hardcore either. I focus only on the ships I want up and I'm in no hurry for it. I also don't take anything serious in the game except events. PVP for me is just a leveling resource, could care less about anything else (well I shouldn't say that but I can't take it seriously when I can't get past Captain because a lot of the players on my server are powerhouses that keep me in the mid to high 4000's and I don't have the time to watch my PVP tries to get more then 10 chances a day). It's just a fun way to pass the time while collecting ship waifu's and arguing with other people who the best one is (Laffy, it's always Laffy. Yea, I might have an unhealthy obsession with her (I might need help)).

XD I honestly don't know how to react to that Sledge. Then again my mother does the same thing on her phone with her dog so I kinda get it.

  9. I've never been so happy to get a haircut in my life. Barber shops were allowed to open up today. I guess knowing there would be an overflow of people, there are no walk ins, only same day appointments. I was able to call and get one in. When I got there they had to disconnect the phone because it would not stop ringing and they just couldn't cut hair and keep taking new appointments nonstop at the same time. XD

lol i cant relate. i cut my own hair since high school so another list to my 'corona doesnt affect me' kinda thing. i have shoulder length hair so its easier to manage and get trimmed every month or two than when i had shorter hair. only time i worried about my haircut was when we lost electricity for three weeks due to stupid hurricane and couldnt use my hair clipper

  10. I've owned 3 cars now. My first car was a 1993 Nissan Maxima. It had 110k miles on it and it served me well until 215k miles. An alternator and a break hose were the only major repairs I've ever had to have done on it. Then I got a 2004 Mazda3 which also served me well from 11k miles to 80k miles, a fuel purge sensor was the only major repair I ever had to do on it. I'd still have it if some kid didn't pull out in front of my and total it. With the insurance check I should have just put a nice down payment on a brand new car... but at the time I didn't want a car note so I got the only thing I could find... a 2004 Ford Mustang. It had less miles than my Mazda so I figured it was like I just had this car all along since it was the same year. Wrong, its been the biggest POS I've ever owned. I've had to have the power steering pump replaced twice, major exhaust work twice, serpentine belt, entire ABS system, read axle, front calipers, CV joint, motor fan, and the transmission that was put in to replace the already busted on they tried to sell the car with, is about to go out again... to top it all off the paint just started crumbling off the car and now its rusting. I bought it with 65k miles and now it has 116k miles. Now that my college loan is almost finally paid off, I'm looking to get a brand new Honda Civic or VW Golf. The Civic is a car I've always wanted since wanting a car, but the Golf is very nice and has more horsepower. I'll never buy another ford car again. I remember when my exhaust system basically fell off the car because the manifold cracked... the muffler shop I went to basically said "Yeah this is pretty common at 90k miles for this car" which I was pretty much at... wtf. Screw Ford. I've never had so many catastrophic failures with a vehicle.

Thanks. Eh I'm not sold on the rear cam. The only time I'd ever really use it is for having to parallel park, which is an absolute rarity. Or backing into a parking space. It does have a nice feature that you can make it look directly down so you can line up the prefect parking job.  Its susceptible to the weather though. One thing that the VW had was that its camera was build into the back logo that acted as the latch to open the back. It popped out when activated so it never got wet. It rained today and while it didn't really affect it this time, I did see a giant water droplet in the top corner. XD

I'm really loving the CVT transmission. There are a lot of hilly roads where i live and the CVT doesn't miss a beat when driving up them. I never feel the weight of the car slowing down the vehicle. I don't have to press further down on the gas to keep speed which I find very interesting. I just see the RPM meter go up and the car keeps going the same speed.

The biggest adjustment I have to make is the lights. I have it on auto so the appropriate lighting activates depending on the time of day or weather conditions. When I get to my destination I'm always anxious when I lock the doors and walk away when the lights are still on. They shut off about a minute after. I do like how the doors lock after 30 seconds of the engine being off and the key isn't in the ignition or when I put it in drive and start moving. I've been behind the curve on car technology for so long it's definitely taking some adjustment. Its not really the advancement in technology, its the fact that all of this stuff that you could only get on a $60k luxury car 10 years ago now comes standard on a base model compact sedan. My Maxima, Mazda 3, and Mustang were well equipped trims, and besides the sound system, they don't come close to all the bells and whistles this civic has.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That cvt transmission sounds very nice. I've never driven a car up a hill like that without having to push more on the pedal. Can you turn the lights off if you wanted to if they auto turn on? The one thing I thought was really odd was losing that functionality with my corolla. At night the lights auto turn on but if I go to pick someone up at work I try to park away from a window because i can't turn the headlights off at night. My car was really basic low end when i got it in 2010, but nowadays the tech is crazy. Built in gps, satellite radio, apps, back up camera, bluetooth for phones, voice recognition, turn nobs for gear shifting, etc. My father in laws new truck has the oddest key. Its literally the fob itself that you insert into the ignition and it locks in place like a magnet. I've seen other cars with smart keys that only need to be in the car and you push a start button. But that uses rfid tech that I don't have any real faith in security tho.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I'm not sure. I mean I can adjust the settings manually. I can turn the head lights off for sure, but I'll have to check on the LED day lights. I think those might stay on regardless.

The CVT is really nice. I've read the technology had a rough start, at least for some american car makers. Honda's is one of the best. I've read its cheaper to maintain in case something goes wrong because its belts and pulleys rather than a giant tube of gears you have to completely disassemble just to see what's wrong.

  11. I've worn the same par of Vans for almost 15 years. No other pair of shoes I've ever owned have lasted this long. The inserts are pretty much flattened to where I can feel every pebble of gravel under my foot, but the exterior is still perfectly intact minus the usual dirtiness acquired over such a time. I ordered a new pair of Vans and I'll probably get some new inserts for my current ones.

My Carhartt is great, but the water resistance is nothing like it used to be. I thought the quick duck material was naturally water repellent but I notice all the quick duck gear is marketed now as "with Rain Defender® durable water repellent". Maybe mine was labeled like that too back when I bought it but I don't remember. After a few years and occasional washings, my coat needs a new coating of this water repellent but I don't see where I can buy a carhartt brand spray bottle of it online. I'm hesitant to use the water repellent I use on my grill covers because that stuff darkened the color of the fabric. I'm going to call the official Carhartt store in the mall near me and ask if they sell the actual rain defender spray once it gets closer to winter.

lol. yep. I like Dickies brand belts, but their shirts and pants always felt noticeably heavier to me compared to similar styles of other brands. Hows the quality of the shirts besides the water repellent properties? XD

  12. If Black Clover took seasonal breaks like MHA, it would have had the potential to be one of the best Shonen series in years. Second to MHA of course. The story is good, the characters and their development are good... besides Asta who's gotten better recently. But the animation quality is such a convoluted mess. People can blame the studio with some merit, but the next episode will be 86 for the sub. That's closing in on two years with zero breaks. The dub only missed a week which is highly impressive for Funimation. When the animation is good, its good... the character models are a mix of good to mediocre. But there is plenty bad... and the low effort animation can go on for multiple episodes in a row. Even a bigger sin is that it happens during big moments at times... you know what you generally save your best work for? Its a damn shame too. The Magic Knight tourney was completely marred the first half with laughable animation at times, and then it got excellent for the final few matches. It drives me crazy when they show how good it can be and then how bad it can be alternating without consistency. With the introduction of their most compelling character yet, I just hope they try to do better overall. I have too much invested into this series now to turn away from it. I've heard they're going to stop outsourcing so much which is the main root of the problem. At least they get the power of friendship right. XD

No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

      12. Will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered have dedicated servers?
      Yes, it will.

It wont be sold separately. :\ I'll wait and see if they eventually release it standalone.

Dedicated servers in a CoD game!? wow. O_O

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Thats a faux statement. Its a hyrbrid in which you never really know if you are on P2P or Dedicated servers. Blops 3 uses it and it still has similar issues. COD4's netcode was good enough that P2P was never noticeable outside of cheaters. I have a feeling the 10 missing maps will be tied to the season pass. They're desperate for sales since Ghosts was received so negatively. Honestly I'm surprised they are taking the gamble. When everyone realizes how shit IW is, they'll all go to MW1... but then when the younger crown gets rekt by those skilled at non gimmicky gunplay, they'll stop playing it. A few insta downs from the M16 or MP5 and they'll be going back to blops 3.

They'll sell it eventually. It may be a year after the game comes out just to milk some sales, but they'll do it. It will probably be a GOTY edition with all related stuff that was tied into the season pass.

    3. Sledgstone

Hybrid setup. ehhh. Activision needs to go full dedicated. If they release it at a decent price as a standalone I'll buy it for the campaign, but if they're going to release this only as a combo I'll never buy it. It makes me wonder how much work they had to put into the remaster to have it combo'd with a new full CoD game at a $79 price point. I remember that one article where the majority of CoD's game engine has never changed since modern warfare. Its like the entire series is setup like a factory assembly line. They probably just had to load the original Modern Warfare files into their workstations and it was all ready to go except for adding new textures to make it 'remastered'. Of course I have no idea if I'm even close to being right about this assumption since I have no experience with programing. lol.

  14. If you think you're hot shit in Overwatch and tea bag me, I'll swap to Junkrat and make you're life a living hell. Thats what some asshole playing Reaper learned tonight. I generally don't play my two best characters as much as I want to because I've been expanding my skill set. Dude got the best of me multiple times when I was playing McCree the previous round, then he did that, and went on to die 15 times in a match because of me.... including getting a rip tire to the face 4 times, and every time he managed to kill me, he died from my martyrdom.... and they lost the match, and he left after that. XD

  15. IFC had a Three Stooges marathon on Thanksgiving. After we ate, we watched that the rest of the day. I haven't laughed that hard for that long in a long time. Good stuff.

  16. In 2009 I bought a 32" Sony Bravia TV. It was my first HDTV and I bought it for the release of MW2. Its been an awesome TV, never failing except one of the HDMI ports recently went bad after my PS4 had been hooked to it since I got my PS4. With 4k TV's becoming affordable I'm probably going to upgrade to a Sony X900F 55". Its not OLED, but I don't plan on looking at it at an angle so it should serve its purpose. I'll stick with Sony TVs since its all I've ever used and none of them have ever gone bad on me. My old SDTV 20" VCR combo is still in my Mom's room. XD I won't be getting a PS4 pro though, with only 2-3 years left in this console cycle it will be pointless. I'll wait for PS5 to take advantage of 4k gaming. Plus I want to be able to see these damn snipers on Battlefield that can see me through blades of grass. They probably have 75" TVs though. -_-;

    1. Sledgstone

Lol. With the change to spotting no longer giving everyone a noticeable triangle target to aim for, larger tvs will definitely give a advantage for seeing enemies off in the distance.

  17. In a move of douchebaggery that should surprise no one,  you must have the Infinite Warfare disc for MWR to work. That's how desperate they are to make you keep their pile of shit in hopes that you'll play it and spend money on supply drops. Fuck you Activision.

130 GB install for both games. O_O Probably because of PS4 Pro, all games coming out will be much bigger because of 4k support. I bet BF1 with all DLC and patches will be at least 250 GB within 8 months of it's release.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It will probably reach 200gigs at its max. Which is still a lot.  I want to say BF4 was 110-120gb with all dlc when I removed it.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Pfft, I told you but you all scoffed at me when I said it. Activision is nothing but a conglomerate of greedy ass motherfuckers that want you to buy a game you don't want to get one you do and require you to use the disc of that game to play the one you want. This pretty much guarantees no stand alone release of MWR.

The disc requirement is only because it's not a DLC, it's a full game so that's why it's justified (in their opinion). Same can be said about the digital version as well. Honestly I expect this to happen more and more when publishers remake a game and bundle it with another because lets face it a lot of games coming out these days suck and the only way to sell them is with a gimmick like this.

BF4 + all DLC (free and paid with Premium) comes to a total of 70.47 gigs (I'm looking at my storage right now so that's exact). It's not surprising both games will sit at 130 gigs. You're probably looking at close to 70-80 gigs for IW (or more, who knows) and 50-60 gigs for MWR (it's a remaster so the new textures and models will take up a lot of room), give or take a few gigs. So by the end of IW's lifetime you're probably looking at close to 200 like DX said since you can expect at least 4-5 map packs.

  19. Infinite Warfare sales are down 50% from Blops 3. Blops 3 didn't outsell 1 or 2. Finally the tide has turned. Activision is blaming no old gen, but BF1 outsold BF4 and Hardline combined.

Overwatch probably took a nice chunk, but I think its more of every game took a piece of the pie. Overwatch is a completely different beast than the causal nature of COD. In COD, one person can win the whole match for their team, in Overwatch that's impossible. Overwatch probably took a lot of TF2 players as its more that type of game. There is a lot of strategy involved, unlike COD where its all about having the best twitch reflexes and exploiting spawns.

The thing that has always struck me about COD is player's lack of map awareness. My success in that series was predicated on that. I often used map routes that no one bothered traveling. After all, no action took place there, so it was a "boring" part of the map. Using those paths, I'd easily get the flank and demolish the enemy team, and they'd never discover what I was doing. My favorite example of this was a map on COD4 called Pipeline. It took place in an abandoned oil refinery. The map was your standard 3 building map with a rail way, and some cement tubes and metal sheet fencing. There was also a network of tunnels under the map that had 3 access points. One access point was in the middle of one of the warehouses. Even so, no one ever used the tunnels. In hundreds of matches, I only ever saw someone else down there maybe 3 times. For me, It was a quick way to get to the opposite side of the map and come up behind the enemy, and then quickly escape. I used this tactic on the map forever and I still talk about it with the friends I played that game with to this day. It was so effective that I replicated it on several other maps that had a similar design. (Highrise on MW2 comes to mind). Everyone wants to run to the center of the map and shoot at each other with no tactics in mind. In OW, you have to know the map, where the health packs are, and where to go to flank, and chances are you'll have to fight you way through a path to get to where you want to go. :P

Titanfall most likely got the biggest share of the COD pie since it plays almost exactly like COD just with more vertical movement. Halo probably ate up what was left. BF gets it's fair share of COD players but most don't stick around long enough to learn the game.

R6S is not a game COD fans would play and I state this because COD fans would never understand the basic premise of the game. It took me awhile to learn R6S and how to play it effectively. Much like Overwatch map knowledge is key to victory. Knowing entry points, where to flank, what areas of the map can be used to hold the hostage/bio-container/bombs, how to enter those rooms effectively, where camera's are located, what walls can be destroyed, and even the smallest of details. Operator knowledge is also key as you need to know what operators do what, how effectively they work with other operators, how to counter each of the operators abilities (like Mute's jammer, Valkyrie's camera's, Kapkan's trip bombs, Thermite's thermite charges, etc), what weapons the operators use and which one is more effective for the map you're on, etc. R6S is pretty much Counter-Strike with a twist and most COD players I know can't even grasp how to play CS effectively.

God I miss COD4, it was the only time I've ever been extremely good at an FPS (I'm good at BF but I'm nowhere as good at it as I was at COD4). Maps like Pipeline made it amazing. I used to camp that tunnel with my Ghost layout when I played Search and Destroy (as defense) since one of the containers was located right next to it. You don't know how many times I've wiped a whole team by doing it. Hell I used to run that path during TDM all the time since, as you said, it was rarely ever used. Most of my epic flanks are due to that tunnel. Shit my ability to go ham with the shotgun on Bog was due to my extensive knowledge of the map and how to effectively move through it (and what corners to camp, what I was a corner camper and I'm proud of it. I had the pro perk and everything (mine even had smores)). People in COD now-a-days don't want to learn the maps because all the fighting takes place in one area. Why flank when you can get right into the action and lose the battle for you're team (thank you COD for your shit players coming to BF1, it's no wonder why a lot of operations matches end in the first sector).

I loved all the maps because they all had a different style of play. Countdown was so open and vast, there was no camping outside of the two hangars. The smoke provided cover at times, but it you could go nuts with the M16, which was so OP if you had good aim. XD 1-2 burst kill from across the map with stopping power, snipers never had a chance. Downpour had so many great routes too.... and then Wetwork was the meatgrinder map. The Operation Locker/Metro of COD. If you aren't using 3 frags, you're doing it wrong. XD I miss my MP5 silenced.

  20. It's been a long time since I've been duped hard by Netflix. I started watching Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato last night. It said Season 1, and the preview looked awesome. I was getting really into the story, the animation was stunning, the action and music were amazing... and then it ended after episode 3. -_-; Turns out it was a movie they divided up into 3 eps. WTF. Amazon has the actual series but its subbed. I guess I'll watch it one day.

      Sledgstone

rotflmao! XD Netflix did the same thing when season 2 of Seven Deadly Sins came out.. on netflix... 4 episodes. XD I think season 3 has gone on netflix by now which is the actual season 2 I think, but I haven't watched it yet.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah maybe I'll get around to watching it one day. I dunno what it is, I loved the first season but lack the motivation to even check that out since I heard "season 2" wasn't a season.

  21. Its pretty irritating how inconsistently YouTube runs on Firefox. Even at 40mpbs it still buffers and stalls on long videos.. but only for certain videos and channels. Sometimes I can watch an hour video no issue, sometimes I can't. But on Chrome it always works... because you know, google owns both. -_-;. Its bullshit. Anytime I want to watch Wooden Potatoes I pretty much have to do it on chrome.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Firefox's quality has gone to shit over the years. But some of the issues might be related to the ad blocking addons I have running. uBlock Origin and Ad Block Plus keep firefox my primary browser tho. Too many websites are assholes with advertisements. Google Chrome is coming out with an update that is supposed to block annoying ads by default. Popups, auto play videos, blocking content ads. If that actually happens I might switch over to chrome completely. Especially if this does apply to their android browser. I don't mind some ads, but to hell if I'll even try to keep reading a page on my phone when I have to click 3 different 1 centimeter x's to close ads blocking all the text I'm trying to read.

      Source:

      https://www.wsj.com/articles/google-plans-ad-blocking-feature-in-popular-chrome-browser-1492643233

I usually watch youtube on my roku stick with a combo of the youtube app on my phone to act as a remote control. It works pretty good.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Anytime I visit a page, mostly news articles and they don't give me any option without turning off ad blocker I just leave. I'm not going to click your ads ever, so you aren't losing revenue. I don't need to see what I just looked at/bought from Amazon. The only thing you're losing is a viewer and you're gaining recommendation to never visit your site via word of mouth. Adblock Plus needs to update its code to avoid these detectors.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Those annoying detectors are using javascript. So I ended up getting a javascript off/on toggle add on for pages like that. As soon as I see the message, I click the toggle, hit refresh, read the article, close the page and turn javascript back on. Its getting ridiculous to avoid ads just to read a single page of text. Without adblock I get more online ads per content than I do with watching a movie on cable. btw, uBlock Origin is better than adblock plus now. I have both on at the same time. But the problem I'm getting now is firefox open with a single page is taking up 5% of my cpu and over half a gig of memory. I don't know if its because of firefox being optimized shittily or if its the addons causing the issue. Meanwhile, google chrome will sit with .02 cpu usage (if that) after a page is loaded and only take up roughly 300 mb of ram over its multiple processes combined.

  22. Just finished Assassination Classroom. It was a lot of fun, even though the premise was stupidly unbelievable.

  23. Just finished Mob Psycho 100. It was an entertaining watch. It went from bat shit crazy to serious crazy half way through. The fights were good, and I enjoyed the "dated animation" approach.

  24. Just finished season 1 of Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans. I enjoyed it, but man I can't help but notice the parallels with Gundam Wing. A young female working for peace, a semi-emotionless male pilot, an antagonist that disguises himself with a mask in a red mobile suit? XD Eh, maybe I'm looking too much into it, there are more differences than similarities. Since CN has the broadcast rights, I hope Funi eventually gets season 2 on stream... its the only Gundam they have. I will say I'm not the biggest fan of the designs on this one. I liked Gusion and EB-AX2, but that was about it.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Except for the whole fact IBO is gorey as fuck and deals with child soldiers it mirrors Wing perfectly :P

IBO is pretty fucking good. The end fight (of S2) is pretty fucking epic. Probably my third favorite AU Gundam after X and Turn A.

Besides the Barbatos I can't stand the designs of the Gundams, they're either bulky as fuck or underdesigned.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I hated Barbatos at first when it had no mid section and the frame was exposed. XD Hopefully Funi gets Season 2 because I'd def like to watch it. Normally when CN gets the rights it takes months for Funi to have it if its not a simuldub. I forgot how long I had to wait for Space Dandy Season 2 but it was a long fucking time.

I haven't even watched the first Ep of My Hero Academia yet because the ep shipped late to funi and they didn't have time to dub it on schedule, so they just put up the sub until next week. XD Yeah I'm too particular about my dubs.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Was going to say you could always watch the sub on CR but I know you prefer to watch your dubs, why I'll never know (I mean subs are far superior (j/k)).

Just wait till you see Barbatos's upgrade, that suit is beyond amazing looking (it gets two upgrades in S2, last one is fucking amazing and beyond deadly). Funi has the S2 license but as you said they probably won't stream it until CN is done airing it (which is retarded but meh, CN be greedy). I might end up actually buying it once S2 is released on BD that's how much I enjoyed the show. Not entirely happy by how it ended (I mean I saw it coming a mile away as it's pretty much spelled out throughout the entirety of S2) but I'm generally never happy by how shows end (Gundam shows in particular).

  25. Just got a severance from my old job, and I immediately paid off a credit card. Feels good because that's a monthly payment gone that will act as a buffer for the small pay cut I took at my new job. Plus it was the card with the highest APR. I gotta hold out another year hopefully. My PC is showing signs of its old age, and I'll probably have to upgrade completely in the future. At 10 years old, its mother board is probably severely outdated to rebuild on, 6 of the USB ports don't work anymore, and more are dying. My wireless connection is kinda shit because I think the USB ports cut off for a second and kick me off at random times. I say this because the USB port I had the adapter plugged into died when it was giving me problems, and I put it into a new one and after a few days the same issue started happening again. I had to swap my mouse to a new port because that one died. Even though I haven't been playing GW2, I can imagine getting kicked off while doing something important. My PC case is too small at that. The video card I just bought a few months ago barely fits in it, otherwise I'd strip the old ass wireless card my dead PC had and put it in... although I think I lost the antenna for it. XD I also have plans to buy a new firearm. I sold my 1911 to the FFL I frequent so I could secure a larger down payment for my car. I never carried that behemoth, but I want a revolver since I don't have one. That will only cost me around $600... so that empty credit card balance is already begging to be used. XDXDXD

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I'll have to check that out. The front 4 USB ports are never going to work again. The case slants at the top and just the weight and pulling of the cords damaged it over time. The PC would just instantly blue screen on boot up, so I had to disconnect them, but I still have 8 slots in the back. I'm good with the 5-6 I use, but if I lose anymore, it will become problematic. I really don't want to upgrade anytime soon. PC advancement has come to a crawl over the past few years and I wouldn't be jumping by a lot if I did.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I got the majority of my credit debt trying to provide for my family of 4 while making only $8 an hour for 6 years or so. Groceries, rent and car repair bills were the worst. I make decent money now but that debt has only compounded over the years. -_-; every time i start making progress on it some massive bill usually comes out of no where like a pet surgery at the vet, major car issue and one year I went to the ER with an asthma attack and those medical bills even after insurance took me most of a year to eventually pay off. Discover is very generous with their limits. Lol. I have 21k limit on mine. XD

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Few things are as demoralizing as when you're about to pay off your debt and something comes up to pretty much add back on to it. -_-; Or takes away the funds you had to put towards it. Mostly car repairs. That's why I bought a brand new car this go around. By the time its paid off, it will still have decent low mileage, very low wear and tear, and be properly maintained. There shouldn't be too many surprises.
