  1. I just finished Drifters on Funimation. Its from the same people that made Hellsing. This was a better product IMO. I honestly don't get all the love for Hellsing as its ending is shit, and a lot of stuff is never resolved. The premise of Drifters is that legendary historical warriors/fighters/tacticians passed on to a different realm when they died and end up on the good or evil side of a new war. You have people like Rasputin, Anastasia, Joan of Arc, Sundance Kid, Butch Cassidy, and a lot of Japanese legends... most notably Oda Nobunaga. Whats strikingly controversial is that Jesus is pretty much an evil overlord, even though they cover his face and call him the "Black King" the fact that he has holes in his hands, and can heal, and produce food out of nothing makes me laugh when I looked it up and the wiki says "His identity is still a mystery". XDYou can just listen to the stuff he says and know who it is. Anyways, the action is great, the gore is on the same level of Hellsing, and the story is really good. Season 2 should be coming out in the future.

The thing you have to remember about Hellsing is the manga was still publishing when the first series was created which is why is ended like it did (believe me when I tell you shit gets a lot darker and fucking crazy later in the manga). Hellsing Ultimate (the one you should watch (if you have and still have those thoughts I just don't know about you anymore :P) adapts the actual manga into 10 50 minute episodes (definitely the version to watch if you haven't, I've only see up to ep 4 but I have it all to watch, just need to find time to actually do so (so much shit to watch on Crunchyroll and I just started watching Rick and Morty so I have that to get caught up on as well)).

Meh, I might have to check that out if I find time to (Crunchyroll does have it so it wouldn't be out of my way to do so).

I did watch it all and I still didn't like the ending. XD I liked it better overall, but It just didn't do it for me. The animation for Drifters is on par with Hellsing Ultimate. I mean there is absolutely no doubt who made it. My only gripe is they threw so many different people in there, they all didn't get a lot of time. It mainly focused on the trio of Oda Nobunaga, Shimazu Toyohisa, and Nasu Suketaka Yoichi. They teased that Scipio Africanus and Hannibal would play a big part using their tactics to turn the tide of battle against the Black King, but Nobunaga seemed to have to have it under control. Then again it only covered a small part of the story with the promise of a new season at the end. I probably like this one better because I'm a history nerd and they just threw in a bunch of people I've studied in the past so I was geeking out, despite the crazy liberties the took. XD I also like how they took notable figures you wouldn't paint as evil and made them so. Its just an overall nice touch.

I just don't know about you then XD

I still don't know how Hellsing actually ends (like I said have not had time to finish Ultimate and I only read through volume 8 of the manga) but I still absolutely adore the show/manga. Chock it up to it being a Vampire that wasn't sparkly (thank you Twilight for forever ruining Vampires and Werewolves >.<) and a show/manga that was actually gory as all fucking hell (plus Father Anderson is one of my all time favorite characters).

  2. I got an interesting email from Amazon about something called the Carnivore Club. It looks pretty neat, but damn It's too expensive for my comfort. I'll probably sign up for 1 month and cancel just to get a box. I've never been apart of any subscription box service before because I don't need random junk every month that I might or might not like. But I can eat this stuff, that all looks really delicious. If I could afford $55 a month for some snack meats, I'd do it. XD What caused me to post about this was the fact that it has two 1 star reviews written by angry vegans posting about how sick and disgusting it was, and how they are promoting cancer and cardiovascular disease. XD

I remember back in the day I always looked forward to Christmas because we use to get those boxes with all the cured meats and smoked cheeses in them. They're pretty hard to find now, at least in the quality that they were back then. Now you just get some basic summer sausage and Kraft tier cheese. The Carnivore Club reminds me of the old fancy ones minus the cheese.... hmmm I wonder if there is a cheese club? O_O

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

lmao! $55 a month!? Holy crap that'll get costly after a while. XD Me and a friend of mine are going to make our own salami, pepperoni and summer sausage this winter in bulk so we'll have cured meats all year long.

  3. Settled on a 1060 card... paid $100 more than what it was selling for a few months ago, but I'm left with no choice with how my current card is acting at times. I basically only every play GW2 anyways an its good enough for it.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Nice. XD And good luck with your graphics card. Hopefully geforce wont screw up your video clips with lag like I've been experiencing for over a month now. x_x

I probably wont record. XD Yeah the pressure was on. Normally I tag up and no one joins me when we do it with TTS. I did the shrouded ruins WP as usual and soloed it the entire time pretty much. If I would have been on my guard It would have failed because I wouldn't have had enough DPS to kill everything before the meter filled. I barely made it out on the 2nd to last attack phase with a 95% meter. X_X I had 3-4 join my squad but no one was on the camp until the last phase before choppers. Then I said I was doing Pat and next thing I know I have more than 20 people in my squad, so I'm like "I can't die or get downed at all!" XD I even helped on Pile of Guano afterward to look more bad ass. XD

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

lmao! You have to look like a pro when you're tagged up! Well done! XD

  4. Chalice of Tears is one of the most hateful things Anet has ever done. To make you do it twice or even three times if you didn't want the anomaly taking up inventory space is even worse. Even the last section is an insane jump that if you mess it up you'd have to start all over again. Thankfully I was able to run the port group twice today to get the worst part of this legendary trinket collection out of the way. -_-; Ports were very rare as this content got older, and it will def become that way again after the expac launches.

Once you get the tokens done the Zinn should only take you a little more than an hour. I did CoT right before I got off last night, it was the same guy, he ran runs all day every hour. But a second train started from another group right when we were almost done.

I finished the Siren's Landing JP tonight, and it actually wasn't bad at all. It had one of my least favorite things in landing on precise slim poles, but I some how made every landing. There are two check points marked by waterlogged chests. Since you got to cheat on the Searing Accent without having to use them, they work by special action key if you fall, you can just use it to teleport back to the chest. I think if you die it goes away though. But there shouldn't be any reason to die since you can glide. The second and last check point is half way through the JP though so you basically have to do half of it with the most pole jumps between that and the end. I did it on my DD, when I normally do these on my mesmer for portal insurance. I was brave. XD You should def portal scroll your mes since the JP is right near the start. Either way it was the least frustrating next to the Doric puzzle if you can call that a JP. I actually did most of it by myself only referring to the dulfy video when I wasn't 100% sure.

  5. One year later my Cinch Controller is still running strong. I'm glad I went with this over Scuf. Scuf is the most popular, but they seem to be Xbox experts... even then I hear their paddles break within a year or less. Overwatch is what I've used to utilize on the most. Nier Automata is another but its not competitive. Every shooter I play I swap the right stick to crouch and O to melee. Being able to jump and melee without taking your fingers of the sticks has been a huge advantage. It at least helps you close the gap on 2 of the 3 advantages those mouse/keyboard modders have on console FPS. It's baffling how Sony and MS haven't cut Cinch, Scuff, Sharq, and all the others out of the equation by making their own controllers with programmable under-buttons.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I can't play a competitive fps without having R3 as crouch. I'd love to have an extra button on the bottom for melee but it always gets defaulted to circle for me because it's the only button available for it with everything else taking priority. It's good that controller is still holding strong for you considering the price.

  6. So I preordered the standard edition of Destiny 2. I'll let you know if downloading the Beta is worth it since I'll get early access. I have a feeling there might not be any open world like D1. They haven't shown any at all if you think about it. They'll probably just be a strike, the first mission, and PvP. I hope I'm wrong, because I'd rather just run around a map and test out weapons more than anything else.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

My biggest interest going into this beta is class diversity. I just saw where Hunter has a trait line where the staff does double damage per hit and they were just destroying the Titan during their shield ult. A rock paper scissors approach would be nice. Although Warlock still looks like the master race. I doubt I'll use dawnblade much though. I'm in love with blink... and with my custom controller I'll really love it. (beaing able to jump, crouch, AND melee without ever taking your thumbs off the sticks is so underrated) Void Walker is what I'll be testing out most of the time. You hunter mains can be jealous of Titan and Warlock super jumps, but I like Warlocks shortest jump the best. XD Interesting how they took blink away from Hunter though, and they basically split the Titan bubble ability between the Titan and Warlock. Those Warlock rifts are going to be super powerful in group content. But Warlock gets a lot more utility than everyone else. In some sort of shitty trinity Titan is Tank, Hunter is DPS, and Warlock is a support god that can tank and DPS it feels like. In D1 Titan was a Tank and Support and Warlocks and Hunters were DPSers. Bungie doesn't have the trinity down right it feels like.... I would say Warlock got the GW2 Elementalist treatment from John Ryan, but he doesn't even work for Bungie anymore. Probably for the best... we don't need a Trahearne in D2. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

They need to get the voice actor of Trahearne to play the ghost and every time you need to interact with something it'll say "Guardian, a word please." XD

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

XD Your ghost would take credit for every Crucible win, and Strike completion.

  7. So I'm lazy and I'm getting old to where I can't really stand to wear contact for +20 hours a day anymore. I've had cheap ass back up glasses for 2 years ever since I got a viral pink eye and couldn't wear contacts for a week. Needless to say, they def weren't meant for heavy long term use. One pair already had the lens coating dry up and chip away, and the pair I'm wearing now has one of the lenses hanging on for dear life. My first and only decent pair of glasses were purchased back in 2003... they were almost $500 at the time. Compared to the $180 I paid for the two pair I've gone through in 2 years. I went to day and dropped $360 on titanium flex frames with Nikon HD transition lenses. I guess glasses tech has become a little cheaper since 2003 because these have more features than my first pair. (Yes I'm aware of the artificial price inflation of glasses)

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thats better at least. Transitions made me rage so hard I never got them again. Back when I did alot of car work, my glasses would near instantly tint up because of the sunlight, but then I'd take a tire off, start looking at the brakes and realized I couldn't see shit in the shade because my glasses were to dark. Same with getting under the car. It was like wearing sunglasses constantly without being able to turn them off because it would take at least 5 mins to un-tint if they even did because of how much sunlight was outside even if I was in the shade. I wait a bit, start looking at the brake caliper, realized I needed a different size socket, reached for one, reach back and boom my glasses were full on tint again. Oh how that pissed me off. lol. Meanwhile my dad loves his transitions and hes had them on all his glasses since transitions was first introduced and swears by them.

My current glasses have a Crizal coating. I'll only get this crizal from now on. It is superior anti-glare for driving at night and for staring at a computer monitor all day. I have had less eye strain for the last 2 years I've been using it, which helps since I was getting ocular migraines for a while. I've only had one of those migraines in the last 2 years where I was getting them at least 2-3 times a year. Driving at night is the most noticeable difference with it. Headlights will still have a flare to them, but all my other glasses made driving at night the equivilant of a J.J. Abrams movie. XD Lens flare everywhere and headache inducing.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

ROTFLMAO! XD I'll keep these as backup in my car again if that ever happens. I had this pair under the passenger side sun visor. I'm not paying for Rx sunshades, or using one of those 80s clip ons. XD The sun would always be in my eyes when I worked morning shifts, but I don't have those anymore really. As soon as I don't get transition, I'll have a life changing event where the sun is glaring in my eyes driving down the road each morning again.

I thought it was pretty cool they weren't like "YES YOU NEED THIS" though. It was an extra $60. The vision center is like a different world from Wal-Mart. They're always so nice and caring.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

LOL. The transitions annoyed me while driving too. XD The transition effect is nice but it doesn't cut sun glare while driving like sunglasses at all. And most car glass blocks the UV so the transitions effect won't kick in at all. Your car might be a 2004, but did the windshield ever get replaced by safelite before because of a crack? If so, expect no transition effect. :P I use those 80s style clip on sunglasses. XD My current glasses came with a magnetic clip on one that is more discreet than others, but I have an extra clip on one in my kitchen for when I walk around the yard in the sun.

  8. Sometimes its laughable how bad western entertainment can mangle/misunderstand or don't care to even try to be accurate with eastern content to this day. I just watched a "Top 10" Godzilla villains video where the rules were that no one that was a frequent ally would be included in the list... and then they put King Caesar who was never a villain save for one time he was being mind controlled. I mean wtf? He's a huge ally in one of the most memorable movies in the whole damn franchise... and then they pick Anguirus?! Literally Godzilla's best friend lore-wise? Because they fought in 1 film as enemies, and another again being mind controlled. If that wasn't enough, Rodan was an honorable mention yet again breaking their rule for those not to be included. The rest of the list was spot on.. ironically Mechagodzilla was #2 (rightfully so) where they heavily emphasized the first film over the new age ones... you know... where Caesar was an ally. XD What a train wreck. At least King Ghidorah was #1. Gigan and Destoroyah rounded up the top 4. The commentator called Destoroyah "Destroyah". -_-;

  9. Apparently NCSoft got DDoSed today and caused server issues for GW2. I've taken a break to play some other games so I'm glad I'm not working on anything right now or I'd be raging... especially if I was trying to WvW.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I've heard so many ppl complaining about the lag in the pvp lobby that I haven't bothered to do a single match the last 2 days. Its been going on for 2 days but then they got full on DDoSed yesterday while I was trying to log in for my home instance farming.

  10. -_-; wtf... Its 6v1 on WvW this week... both of our opponents are triple link servers. How is that even fair? We're getting destroyed in skirmishes because they K-train the whole map. They can't fight worth anything because were were farming them hard. But every time we dug out of last place we were instantly back in it within seconds of taking a keep or tower. They probably have like 3 commanders from each server zerging around the map capping stuff. How did Tarnish Coast get so bad that it needs 2 servers linked to it? Feels like not too long ago it was the weekly battle of JQ/BG/TC.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I finished out my Wood Chest tonight to retain my loyalty pip. I took a break from TWD todo this, but thats all I'll probably play this week with whats going on. Its not worth getting last place pips to get to gold.

On a side note, how has purging flames not been nerfed... I mean screw epidemic, at least you have a chance to condi clear it. I drop PF on an unsuspecting zerg and I instadown 6-7 people at once. XD It's pretty absurd. Sometimes my loot feed starts rolling like I'm in the Mad King's Labyrinth.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I love purging flames. So many instant kills with it. XD the synergy with dire equipment and that one trait that procs burns on hits is too damn OP. Its more damage than berserkers longbow burst attacks.. It's easily as powerful as berserkers gunflame bursts used to be before it was nerfed.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Well.. I think I'm going to hold off on trying to get WvW skirmish tickets for the foreseeable future until they change the system. I already have 1 legendary back piece and I'm close to getting the pvp one. The wvw one looks good, but I don't have the time for it. I was getting 2 pips per tick yesterday just to finish off my wood chest for 10 whopping tickets. If the reward tracks would reset monthly instead of weekly it'd be a much more enjoyable system since the rewards scale with the higher chests. If anything there should have been a wvw season that runs opposite the pvp league seasons. Weekly resetting the reward track is too much for me. The loyatly pip is dumb too since it only applys to the reward track you last completed. I made it through the wood chest the week before so I get an extra 1 pip per tick... until I finish the wood chest, then that loyalty pip is removed because I'm past the tier I finished the week before.

They should have introduced 2 new currencies like how pvp has claim tickets and ascended shards of glory. The tickets can be accumulated at about the same speed in pvp as the tickets in wvw, but ascended shards of glory come in much higher numbers for buying ascended gear. But in wvw there is only claim tickets and the vendors needs ass tons of them. I bought the first tier of the pvp back piece precursor for 10 tickets.. in wvw the first tier costs 350 tickets. wtf. I can get 10 claim tickets in pvp in about an hour or a little more depending on how high a chest tier I'm at. In wvw it takes me 4 hours to get 10 claim tickets. I'll keep playing some wvw for gifts of battle and for fun, but I'm not going to even bother playing enough to get these tickets for this cost of time. At 4 hours a week for 10 tickets a week it'll take me 5 years to get this back piece. Its not casual friendly at all and I'd rather go back to playing Mass Effect or my back log of other games.

      What anet needs to do is change the vendors completely and introduce ascended memories of battle currency. The back piece items should have the same cost as the pvp one and ascended memories of battle can be used for the ascended armor/weapons. As well as having a wvw league season instead of weekly reset, I bet alot more people would enjoy it. As it is now people have to dedicate 30+ hours a week to finish the entire reward track. And outnumbered pips is dumb. I was on a map that was outnumbered, prediction says I'll get 7 pips but some guy in map chat likes to call out the outnumbered map. 2 seconds before the pip rewards hit, people load into the map, I get 2 flipping pips because outnumbered is immediately negated. They all leave and my next pip prediction is 7 again when I know for a fact the same shit will happen again. -_-;

  11. Well I guess I put off buying a video card for too long. All the prices have skyrocketed by 50% or higher because of some bullshit ethereum mining thing. I'm def not paying these prices. I was planning on doing it next month when I financially had a chance to do so. I guess I'll have to hope my video card last a bit longer.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That's a bunch of 1070s in that pic. I'd wait until black Friday at this point to buy one. By then the current rush will be over and prices should go back to normal. That and half these ppl will probably flood eBay with cards around that same time. Other miners that don't care about efficiency as much will buy those and new cards should be normal prices again.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

nVidia is suppose to be releasing a special card for these people in the future that focuses on electrical efficiency which is what these people are after. Hopefully that will alleviate the problem.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That would be good. I was reading this topic earlier:

The flood of new miners is jacking up the price of the GPUs but also dropping the price of the return of investment. If it continues dropping, the gpu prices will probably rebound before black friday anyway. Some of these people are saying they make like $7 a day per 1080ti, $780 per card investment not counting tax. It would take at least 4 months to start earning a profit per card and thats not taking into consideration the cost of electricty they'd be using for a 24/7 max load per card. All in all I bet it takes close to 6 months to start making a profit. But once the profits come in, they're constant. Probably $180 a month per card unless the rates go back up to about $9 a day, then it'd be like $220 or so. But how long do these cards really last under that work load? I bet they last maybe a year at best, and these ppl like to sell them on ebay and buy a new card so the initial investment gets subsidized that way. They're probably making profit 6 months out of the year. Lower quality GPUs, like a 1060 6gb would make less money per day due to lower processing and the more people that get in on it lowers the total profits significantly. I bet the 1060s will be the first cards to go back to regular price.

  12. The older I get, the more I dislike the general public. I was never Mr. Popular in school because I kept to myself and felt that the upper echelon of the social order was so trivial. I can befriend just about anyone of any type of values/background. But overall my circle of friends is pretty small, and always has been.

I say all that to say this... holy shit why are people so fucking stupid on the internet? I'm pretty new to this whole reddit/facebook groups thing. I remember running around anime forums as a 14-15 year old shooting off at the mouth like I was hot shit... but these are grown ass adults that don't have a fucking clue what they are talking about, nor do they want to learn.

I see all these morons on the GW2 facebook group asking dumbshit questions you can easily look up yourself on wiki or youtube... The GW2 community has the best community of YT guide makers of any game... quite literally there are the most pointless guides for even the biggest imbeciles.  Taking 5 steps in a straight line from a waypoint to get to a POI? You better believe there is a YT video on how to do it! Just type in the name of the POI and at least 5-6 20 sec-1min videos will pop up. You could have tabbed out of GW2, or pulled out your phone and looked that bullshit up and got it done w/o wasting your time posting a question in a facebook group and waiting for someone to respond. I mean what the actual fuck? Then they get butthurt when someone posts the link to the wiki, and people actually coddle this fool like we shouldn't tell him to try harder to help himself? I almost left the group because of that because it was the second time in two days I saw it. Kumbaya shit pisses me off, and as a society its lead to the everything is offensive/racist/bigoted/cruel. Sometimes people have to feel like people think they're stupid to better themselves. Its called learning the hard way, and I've done a lot of it myself.

Then you have assholes telling you about the class you main, and they have no fucking clue how the class works.... because they don't even play it. They main another class. Its obvious by what they're spewing out, by leaving out various aspects of the class while giving out vague descriptions... then a lot of times saying something that's completely false.

But this is just a side note really, what set me off on this rant today is another facebook group. I'm a EDC nut. I own multiple guns, pocket knives, and flashlights. I recently got into a group about a particular brand of knife I enjoy. Overall its a great group that gives me good ideas about future purchases I might make. I recently ordered a knife that is an upgraded version exclusive from a certain knife retailer. It has a high tier quality blade steel, making the knife double the cost of the standard version. Even then at $80, this steel is normally only found on pocket knives that are $220-400. Its one hell of a deal. So this new guy that joined the group asks in a comment reply why would anyone pay double the price for this knife when he got it for way less. I explained to him what the deal was, because that's what the group is for... sharing knowledge and opinions. He never responded so I figured he understood and moved on.... then later down the comments I see him ask the question again... -_-; Another member tells him about the steel, and I follow up explaining that its an exclusive version of the knife only sold by that particular retailer, and I even go into why that steel is special and its characteristics. Once again no acknowledgement. He later makes his own post, posting the basic version of this knife that he owns, and someone asks him what version it is, and he states he just found out that there are more than one version of his knife and asks AGAIN why is there a one doubled in price.... this all took place in the span of 17 hours. I mean did you not fucking read mine and other peoples explanation? You read it enough to know there was more than one version! Holy shit.... Why are you so fucking ignorant? Is your mental retention that bad? How did you even manage make it back to the facebook group two days in a row?

I'm not really raging, even though it sounds like it. It just bothers me that people act this helpless. The internet has made people even more lazy despite the fact that there is a wealth of knowledge to be had. I've learned a shit ton using it, whether it be about science, history, or my very own hobbies. I mean how do these people even pay their internet bill? Did they post on their ISP's forum to ask how to do it? Google is a powerful tool to find quick answers to everything. It requires way less clicks. Use groups and reddit for opinion discussion... not for basic questions that you need to find on your own. You just look like someone that could drown in the shower.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Stupid ppl and pc correctness / coddlers like that are what make me treat Facebook groups and Reddit completely different from traditional forums. In a forum I'll look at every topic, post, etc. But on Facebook and Reddit I won't even click the link if its some basic question that can be googled. And that guy you answered twice about the steel, he's either completely ignorant or a troll. I'll compare him to a climate change troll. On either end of the spectrum there's a person that already has their mind made up and thus they believe everyone else that doesn't agree with their belief is an idiot, or in the case of the knife he already believes it's not worth the price. Someone offers an explanation that is in opposition to their predetermined belief. That person will then proceed to publicly denounce the other's opinion or in the knife guy's case he ignores because he has no counter argument and then proceeds to ask the question again and again until they get someone to reinforce their idea. It's a horrible combination of ignorance and narcissism. I'm sure he read your info and realized he was wrong. But in true narcissistic fashion he won't admit he was wrong and instead makes another post that they learned something on their own with no help and now wants info on what they now believe, while at the same pretending their previous ignorance never existed.

Narcissism is the biggest issue with the internet nowadays. Everyone is obsessed with themselves. Endless selfies. Everyone wants to be complimented and can't take any criticism even when it's beneficial. It's also a power trip. Whether they are aware of it or not, they are asking / telling ppl to do something for them they can easily do themselves. It's a similar mentality that happens in bad relationships. The husband sitting on the couch asking the wife for a beer. Of course he could just stand up, walk over to the fridge and get one, but why when someone else will do it for you. The internet is that lazy asshole sitting on a couch while taking a selfie and telling everyone they are wrong about everything.

I guess that's what it was, but he is in the wrong place for that, and if he keeps it up he'll just get kicked from the group. The two knife groups I'm in have pretty solid admin staffs. They don't put up will bullshit. Someone got offended that people were posting guns with their knives, and they got booted pretty quick for raging about it. XD

  13. Condi'ed out my Rev WvW style. I need 2 earrings and I'll be fully ascended. Cost me 400g to do for the armor. I already had the mace/axe/staff to stat swap. I didn't get to test it out because I spent 4 hours farming AB for Superior Runes of Durability. But it gave me a chance to learn the class more. I have 20k HP, a ton of toughness, and I can rack up 4k ticks of torment and confusion on vets. Getting rolled on by arrowheads only takes 15% of my HP. XD I can't wait to give this a shot tomorrow night with what I have.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I'm surprised you actually saw Cloud Fly die. XD Use berserker stance for the resistance to negate condi damage and try to go berserk mode as much as possible since the eternal champion trait will give you stability whenever you break a stun and enter berserk mode. Thats how I secure alot of stomps in pvp with my warrior. Headbutt alone is a stun break so I usually get stability from it, then it hits, activate berserk for even more stability. I don't have to dedicate any utilities for stability with that eternal champ trait. :D

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah I'm sticking with Dire Guard... this shit is so OP it should be illegal. XD Purging Flames does 10k damage? WTF? I nuked some guy overlooking a gate we were flame ramming. He didn't expect it and just got insta downed and melted. I have 22.5k HP. I played for a little bit in JQBL with a small squad of about 7. Is always fun when someone comes to attack you like a DD, thinking your an AH Frontline, and you drop that burn on them and they freak out and run away. I watched 3 people just run from me when I dropped purging flames on them. Most of the time it kills them if they aren't a warrior or rev. XD I had a Warrior do GS3 off a ledge just so I couldn't get his bag. Judges Intervention also adds to it as well, because I got someone that was with him and jumped on their corpse thinking they could 2v1 me. XD

I tried to play in a big zerg on EB, but I couldn't get into the squad because it was full. I did ok, but I wasn't getting any of the group support so when my stability and cleanse ran out I often got gravity welled... damn FA loves their mesmers. Its pretty annoying... the whole condi meta is a bit absurd. I'd die and WP only to have 5-6 bags in my inventory from people that died from my flame nuke. WvW should really be put on its own mode with a PvP type class builder. Burn guard is way more OP in WvW than it is in PvP. I mean, I can launch 5k ticks of burning without purging flames. Condi needs to be toned down a lot, but I'll keep abusing the shit out of it until its fixed. Dire gear is super cheap... and the trinkets are cheap too because Tequatl's fang and Amulet of Triple Curiosity are both Dire. The rings are 3g each, and you'll spend about 6-7g on the armor. Luckily I kept the 2 level 80 back pieces from the druid stone asc back collection and got a exotic dire back going too. I could give the other one to my necro if i wanted to try Dire Reaper.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I should work on that druid back piece. I completely threw that to the back burner and forgot all about it. I'll probably buy another blood ruby backpack and blood ruby amulet tho and use those instead since they are quasi legendary. I can select dire (or trailblazer) stats on them and if I ever want to change it, it only costs 100 UB to buy the capacitor to stat swap it. Its one of the main reasons I do 2 bsf dailies every day. Once the next expansion comes out and if viper, or celestial or commander, etc. becomes the meta for guardian, I'll quickly have a back, amulet and earring stat swapped and ready to go. Same with all my other characters. I'm trying to get at least half of them setup with these 3 bloodstone ascended items each.

  14. My top 5 games I've played since last E3.

    1. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    2. NieR: Automata
    3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
    4. Ratchet & Clank
    5. Battlefield 1 Campaign

That's pretty loose because technically Uncharted 4 came out a month before last E3, but I didn't play it until a few months after it came out. I tried not to put multiplayer/MMOs in there, but so little games impressed me enough into a purchase, this is the list I was left with. BF1's Campaign was pretty damn good though, despite my grudge against the MP as a whole, I can't overlook that. The episodic nature of it really worked well, and the finale of each were really epic. Kudos to DICE for finally making a competent single player experience outside of Bad Company.

My first 2 are leaps and bounds above the rest of the list. Uncharted 4 was outstanding, but in my heart and mind, I can't find it to be super memorable. This is because I played 1-4 in 5-6 days, and a lot of it jumbles to together into one big game. While 4 had amazing visuals, and more polished controls, it was more of the same from the last 3. But honestly that's not bad at all. The story and characters I loved very much, which caused me to buy the 4th immediately after beating the collection.

Zelda brought something completely new to the series, while keeping it very familiar. It's a masterpiece I hope everyone gets to enjoy. NeiR was just something new and refreshing from the norm. Despite its many flaws, its one of my favorite games of all time. I didn't think I'd like having to play through multiple times to get the real ending, but I actually did. The combat, story, and above all the music was just spectacular. It's def one of those games that not enough people will get to play because it fell through the cracks.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

The BF1 campaign was the best content DICE has ever made. I really need to play Uncharted 4. I was going to try it the other day but PSN's download speeds are so garbage it took my ps4 8 hours to download the game completely even though I have 200 mpbs connection.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Hmmmm. I dunno if I'd put BF1 over BFBC2's campaign. If you ever see it on the cheap for, its worth picking up for the campaign even if no one plays the MP anymore.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I probably own it on my origin account. I'll have to check it later.

  15. I'll give credit where its due. Microsoft had a pretty good E3 presentation. But sadly for them the XBox One X is like the Wii U in title. Its going to get them screwed up. On top of that what percentage of the base is going to be using 4k? $500 is steep. Its like the Goldstar 3DO... unnecessarily ahead of its time. They had some time exclusive stuff, but Sony had real exclusives like Spider-Man, Days Gone, and of course God of War.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Problem is why would you shell out money for a console with a 4k BD Player if you don't have a TV capable of playing it? I think this is the reason Sony didn't go with one, why waste money and potential sales due to cost when most of your consumer base doesn't have the tech to run it. Then again I say this after buying a PC more powerful than the XBoneX/PS4 Pro will ever be (though I do not have a 4k BD player or 4k monitor and I wouldn't waste money on it. 4k gaming is a pipe dream that only the super rich can afford and at that it's not true 4k gaming since most PC's aren't powerful enough to run it). I didn't really catch the conference since I've lost all interest in E3 (I get more excited for TGS and Gamescom) but I got the gist from Twitter (and most people were pretty underwhelmed by MS's showing).

Reason why Sony has more exclusives is because they are actually focused on gaming, not being the center entertainment hub of you're room (which is MS's big thing for the XBoneX).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I'm going to be salty when XBone gets the early access to all the Anthem content. I know its coming since they get the Battlefield stuff. Kinda sad that we got Activision this time when last gen it was flip flopped. I know I was glad to get Destiny exclusives before ya know... I never got them. *cough*Hawkmoon*cough*. But fuck COD.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

You know it's going to happen what with Playstation having timed exclusivity for Destiny 2 content and sadly it's only fair. The XBone hasn't really had any exclusive DLC for games that are really worth anything (their only real exclusive worth anything is Halo and those honestly aren't worth the console anymore).

  17. When you play your best games as Mercy ever and no one votes for your card even though you clutch revived the team to victory, and got POTG twice as Mercy. Healers live a underappreciated life, but no one has any problems complaining about not having one. I've almost sunken into fulltime healer on Overwatch because now when I'm not healer, I rage when the one we have sucks. I started playing Ana and Mercy a lot more just to be proficient with them. I'm a trolling beast with Lucio now, to where I can pretty much kill tanks and hit scan heroes doing wall hanging. (Thanks DPStanky for that inspiration) Joke is on everyone else on Double XP weekend though, Healers always get a gold medal for healing... and sadly if I'm Lucio I can pull off 4-5 gold medals if my team is that bad.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I never had that problem during the free weekend, I usually always got the votes. Then again I wasn't playing with seasoned veterans like you do so that might be the reason.

If I had the money and we actually had time to play together I'd be your full-time healer, you know how good I am. Meh, it seems a lot of games are falling into this stigma now toward healers. Fuck I rarely get any commendations in FFXIV for keeping people alive when I play Scholar (especially in those fucking hard ass dungeons/raids where healing is a lot harder to do). No love for the support players x.x

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Its Double XP weekend so a lot of people that play for loot boxes rather than fun are on. There were a lot of instances no one picked a tank. If we played, I'd honestly pick Zen in a lot of matches. A team with a main and secondary healer almost always wins against a single healer team. Hell I got paired with a 5 stack the other night were they played Mercy, Zen, Ana, Soldier, Mei. So I tanked every round and we crushed everyone.

On a funny note, I realized today I killed SSSniperwolf multiple times as Genji a few weeks ago. I figured it was just someone that just took the Psn name because I didn't think she played PS4. But she does. I don't really follow her, and when I do see her posts people hate on her saying she's just a pretty face that's not that good... I can confirm. She's not. XD Me and my friends wrecked her team.

  18. Its pretty irritating how inconsistently YouTube runs on Firefox. Even at 40mpbs it still buffers and stalls on long videos.. but only for certain videos and channels. Sometimes I can watch an hour video no issue, sometimes I can't. But on Chrome it always works... because you know, google owns both. -_-;. Its bullshit. Anytime I want to watch Wooden Potatoes I pretty much have to do it on chrome.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Firefox's quality has gone to shit over the years. But some of the issues might be related to the ad blocking addons I have running. uBlock Origin and Ad Block Plus keep firefox my primary browser tho. Too many websites are assholes with advertisements. Google Chrome is coming out with an update that is supposed to block annoying ads by default. Popups, auto play videos, blocking content ads. If that actually happens I might switch over to chrome completely. Especially if this does apply to their android browser. I don't mind some ads, but to hell if I'll even try to keep reading a page on my phone when I have to click 3 different 1 centimeter x's to close ads blocking all the text I'm trying to read.

      Source:

      https://www.wsj.com/articles/google-plans-ad-blocking-feature-in-popular-chrome-browser-1492643233

I usually watch youtube on my roku stick with a combo of the youtube app on my phone to act as a remote control. It works pretty good.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Anytime I visit a page, mostly news articles and they don't give me any option without turning off ad blocker I just leave. I'm not going to click your ads ever, so you aren't losing revenue. I don't need to see what I just looked at/bought from Amazon. The only thing you're losing is a viewer and you're gaining recommendation to never visit your site via word of mouth. Adblock Plus needs to update its code to avoid these detectors.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Those annoying detectors are using javascript. So I ended up getting a javascript off/on toggle add on for pages like that. As soon as I see the message, I click the toggle, hit refresh, read the article, close the page and turn javascript back on. Its getting ridiculous to avoid ads just to read a single page of text. Without adblock I get more online ads per content than I do with watching a movie on cable. btw, uBlock Origin is better than adblock plus now. I have both on at the same time. But the problem I'm getting now is firefox open with a single page is taking up 5% of my cpu and over half a gig of memory. I don't know if its because of firefox being optimized shittily or if its the addons causing the issue. Meanwhile, google chrome will sit with .02 cpu usage (if that) after a page is loaded and only take up roughly 300 mb of ram over its multiple processes combined.

  19. I rewatched Paranoia Agent for the first time since it originally aired on Adult Swim over a decade ago. It wasn't as weird as I remember it being... probably because I've seen way more weird stuff since then and have been desensitized. It was still bizarre though. It will always have one of the most strange and memorable openings.

  20. I never got into Samurai Jack, and now I really don't like Samurai Jack because the marathon is going to delay the AoT dub episode on Funimation since it wont air on CN this week. -_-; WTF.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I wish the ending went a bit differently but I am glad we finally got closure. The series was definitely artistic. The purposeful lack of black border lines is what really thru alot of people off from it in the beginning. Its alot like the cell shading and wrong human body types in Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. That game's lack of black border lines separating colors and large heads thru me off from that game initially. Samurai Jack grew on me quick tho. The 300 episode with the Spartans was one of my favorites. :D And anything with the Scotsman. :D

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Meh, I felt the ending was forced as if they were just trying to live up to our expectations but fell sadly short (I mean I was all happy for Jack until the ending fully played out, plus the whole Daughters of Aku thing jsut didn't fell natural for how the show originally progressed). Honestly I thought they could of done more with the ending, maybe flesh out the season some more of make a sixth season to wrap everything up a lot nicer. Ohwell, overall it wasn't badly done it just left a sour taste in my mouth.

Honestly I never had a problem with the art direction (in fact I actually really like it) then again I'm an artist and I like this artsy shit (though cel shading will never be art, it's just poorly done and looks terrible). I thought it fit the story and setting quite well. Honestly I really need to re-watch the series completely to get a better feel for the ending because I honestly don't remember it all that well beyond Season 2 (I've seen it completely through but I honestly don't remember the middle two seasons)

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Me and lady rewatched the entire series just before the final season began airing. It helped alot since so many characters and events were referenced in season 5. I was hoping Jack would have defeated aku twice. Once in the future and again in the past.. just in case that future was already set as an alternate time line regardless of the past being changed at that point. It broke my heart to think that the butterfly effect of Jack defeating aku in the past would negate everything he did in the future and all the ppl who may not even exist now as a result of the time line change. I wish we could have gotten an epilogue with scenes of an aku free future were the Scotsman was still enjoying life with his daughters.

  22. Overall I like the collection for the new back piece this LWS3 ep, but I hope they don't make this the standard for the expac. Its cool to have a few here and there, but just one is causing the same type of issues that legendary journeys too... My inventory is cluttered with BS because I have to hold on to useless crap and turn them all in at the same time instead of as I get them. Even with max bags I've overburned my inventory twice today.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

T1-3 isn't bad because you can turn everything in as you get them, but for some reason T4 you have to turn in like 4 at a time. I probably would have waited on doing some of these if I would have known. I have like 6 things in my inventory waiting to be fused with druid stones, including the 2 I already fused and can turn in until I fuse the right other 2.

Thankfully the Hidden Garden one is just a orchard to the side, and none of the JP is required. I'm so tired of doing that damn thing. BTW when you start planting seeds, don't leave immediately. Fire Orchard nodes pop for you to mine after you plant them.

  23. Triple Trouble was kind enough to give me another Regurgitated Armor box. I now I have all the skins... plus an extra box because I didn't realize that there were no boots or leggings skins. I opened all the boxes I've saved up and Vipered my Ranger. I just need trinkets and a back piece which I'm currently working on to give to her. Even with what I have right now, shes fun to play again. LB/S/A got left in the dust after the power creep and it just wasn't up to par. I'm melting things again with SB/A/T.

I'm tempted to viper mine out with the ascended armor set I got from pvp, but I'm a bit hesitant with the expansion leaks indicating it'd be more focused on power. Then again that is easily 4-5 months away still and swapping ascended armor isn't that costly. Are you using the build from metabattle with the odd combo of 4/2 different runes?

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Nope. The nightmare runes are TA dungeon. I'd  have to do a reward track. I might do it later but I went all trapper runes for now.

      Sledgstone

Twilight Arbor was daily today. A couple quick paths and those runes can be yours! XD I think its stupid that some meta builds are using these old dungeon runes. I saw a wvw build months ago that used runes from Honor of the Waves dungeon. wtf. XD

  24. Once again my company restructures and my position in the company is eliminated. I'm pretty much a lock for another position they created, but its getting old having to worry about whether I'll have a job the next year when they probably do change again. It will be a night shift management position so I'll be working late again and not get to game with friends like I've been enjoying the past 8-9 months. On the upside at least I'll be back in management, and not some guy thats coded for a job he's not really doing because he's being used as a manager/utility guy.

I was going to buy a new graphics card and power supply, but its on hold now until I know for sure I'll still be employees in a few weeks. Its pretty tough watching people lose their job that you've worked with for years. It seems just about every retail company is doing this lately. I know Lowes recently laid off a shit ton of managers.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The problem with $15 an hour is all this bullshit fight against evil big corporations not paying the little man enough. You can't champion the middle class by doing this shit because all it does is fuck small and medium size businesses. They cant afford to pay people $15 an hour. Thus you're actually just helping big business by maintaining a monopoly over everything becasue no one will ever be able to become an innovative start up company. Industry will never change unless it's cost effective for the status quo. I've argued with people about this before "You want people to stay poor!" No you fucking moron, no one deserves to live in a 150k sq ft house and drive a new Jeep when all the do is drop a basket of fries in oil... otherwise no one would want to aspire to be anything else.

Yes the overtime law had a lot to do with the first restructure even though my company denies it. A lot of companies did this and its not like they can go "Oh, well.. everyone can have their job back now that we don't have to pay you OT". And this latest move was their "fix". I'll admit there were a lot of people in the positions that were cut, that didn't need to be there. A lot has changed in the company over the last 10 years, and some people just had a leadership title but didn't lead anyone, and didn't pull their weight either because they felt some of the work was below them. I've always made it a point to make myself indispensable. I've always busted my ass and dealt with any unfair bullshit situations, by accepting it and still working hard. Thats why I've made it through 3 of these things. What irritates me are those that always seem to be safe from these by luck or by getting the right promotion or being at the right place at the right time. There is that certain echelon I've been trying to get to, but it always evades me because this happens when I'm so close. To get in, someone has to quit or get fired, which is rare. Of course the last 3 times its happened was after the last restructure and they ended up no cutting enough jobs, so those extras got to fill the new vacancies to level off stores to the right amount. But with how it is now, it will probably be years before anyone retires.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

As a guy stuck in these low level positions (mostly by choice, I've worked my way up only to have it bite me in the ass so I'm happy being down here with the grunts) it's nice to see the incentive of raising the minimum wage however they're doing it the wrong way. Raising wages to a flat $15 an hour isn't the answer, it's their way of making themselves look like they care when they don't (and a way to make it so jobs don't leave the country which sadly isn't going to stop). I've said it more than once that minimum wage needs to be based on the currently standard of living in each city/state (more so city but that's due to where I live more then anything) as, like DX pointed out, most smaller to medium sized businesses can't afford to pay wages not centered on their areas SoL (businesses that are small mom and pop shops or state chains, not businesses like Walmart who could afford to pay all their employees $15 and up an hour but choose not to (don't be fooled by them raising their wages, just a publicity stunt. More wages means less people to work now so it gets harder on those employees still there (they actually eliminated a lot of positions in the company to do this))). Sadly the people leading our country don't see this (and Trump for one doesn't give two shits about us little guys trying to make a living) and just do things without fully thinking it through and businesses don't care outside of what it will cost them (hence the lay offs and what have you). Just because $14 an hour is the bare minimum needed to be able to survive where I live (due to the Bakken/Oil Industry) doesn't mean you should be paying your employees that in a small town where $9 an hour will let them live a comfortable life (not many places I know of where $9 an hour will suffice but I'm sure they're out there).

Sadly though it'll continue to happen. Eventually minimum wage will get so high we won't have any jobs to go after as they're all shifted overseas to people willing to work for less than a dollar an hour. I don't bitch because I make enough money to cover my bills, make sure I have food, and pay for those few luxuries I enjoy (even though I'm making less money an hour then I was before I got fired, man OT really makes up that difference though) but I know of plenty of people who don't (close friends as well who can't aspire to be more because they can't afford to get the schooling or training to do so) so yeah. Like I said I don't bitch, no reason to because no matter how loud we bitch very little gets heard or changed for the better.

Sadly DX it's those people who will never give up those positions and when they eventually do they'll probably restructure again to deny you the position (don't know the situation or what its like to work for you're company but I know plenty of companies that will do shit like that saying the position is no longer needed and they were getting rid of it). No matter how indispensable you make yourself it rarely ever pays off because after awhile those people just keep using you to better themselves (me being fired is one of those instances, busted my ass for 10 months to make the store look better only to get fired due to allegations that I was stealing only because the person who deserved to get fired was trying to take everyone who helped her out with her (yea she got fired but took nearly the whole management team with her). The Store Manager didn't even try to defend us in the fallout, just let us take the fall so he wouldn't look bad (again a reason why I never want to be in a position of power again)).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I've known 2 people that made upwards to 6 figures for their jobs and 1 that was making easily 200k a year. Over the last 20 years, when they retired at different times from their respective jobs, each one of them found out that the person that ended up with their jobs or the equivilant of their jobs were all making roughly 40-60k instead. All these old people know they got into their jobs at the right time with guaranteed raises when they were hired. All they had to do was stick with a company for decades to reap in all the rewards. Way back when job loyalty and retention was more important so all the companies gave out pensions, guaranteed raises, company matched retirement plans, etc. No jobs nowadays offer pensions except maybe being a teacher. The US companies have taken everything they can get from the employees over the years to increase their bottom lines and over time we all got used to it... except for those old people in their comfy jobs now. The old baby boomers are a reason we have the low wages we face today as well as all the jobs shipped overseas. All the companies are paying the old baby boomers such high wages and benefits that the money has to come from somewhere other than their profits, so all new employees get paid the minimum with no benefits. Even if all those baby boomers retired now, our culture is already used to these shit wages and they wont go back up. I had a coworker that was forced into retirement about 5 years ago. He literally died the year after that. I swear all these old people want to keep working until the day they die.

That is absolutely the most elaborate fake leaks for this game I've ever seen. I'm going to assume its all legit and Anet has a serious leak issue with their NDA. Mounts look huge, if those are true to scale, I wonder if they'll ever be implemented in the core or HoT maps. If a zerg wasn't bad enough lag at world bosses, imagine the massive fps drop when everyone pops on a mount and the total model size of the zerg is doubled. Anet better have upgraded their engine to be able to handle it or GW2 will become one of the best looking games at a constant 20 fps. x_x

Unless they coded them like combat tonics. Then it might be ok. I want to say I've seen a ton of snowballs on my screen and it didn't make the fps drop worse than it already was. If I had to guess they leaked them on purpose though. People were starting to get disgruntled again about leggy weapons 2.0 and how they weren't gonna be done. This is def a mood changer.
