Now that the state of Mississippi has opted into the lottery, I can take a 15 min drive across the state line to a little gas station and buy tickets. Its astonishing how my state just refuses to even let us vote on it. People take their money to FL and GA for lotto tickets, and now the state we share out biggest border has it... on top of that most of the population is on the west side of the state anyways making it even easier. So dumb. I'm just glad I don't have to drive an hour plus to get tickets anymore. I can now make a weekly trip and try my luck.

Damn heat wave needs to stop. We usually only get around 8 days of 90s+ every year. Mostly we get high 70s and high 80s during the summer. So far we've already hit 9 days of 90s+ and we have even more coming. It wouldn't be so bad if we could get some rain though. Everything is so dry I'm only mowing twice a month now and I think I'll mow this weekend.. but its mostly to cut all the clover thats growing because most of the grass is all turning brown. I bought mulch today for our garden because I'm burned out on watering it every morning. We'll mulch all those veggies and I should only have to water every other day then.

Got my pool setup last night. All thats left to do is hook up the filter and order a water delivery.  This same time last year we were digging out that pool spot for all of June. I'll always remember that back breaking digging. This year we put a light layer of sand down since the level is good and we wont have to worry about the pool shifting at all. I'd like to get a permanent pool at some point. It looks like buying a new ground tarp and water delivery every year will be roughly $200 a year for expenses. And these intex pools are only meant to last roughly 2-4 years, but the pool was roughly $280 on sale I think. Even then its still cheaper than a $2-$5k pool. I might stick with using these cheap pools for years.

My Mobile game spending habits have been pretty tame. I'll drop a few dollars on Arknights banners now and then. Azur Lane, I have it to a science to generally go into events with 100+ cubes to get everything. But lets face it. Azur Lane makes it's money off skins... and the best way to get skins is to make it easy to get the ships. Arknight's skins are mad expensive, and I only found out last week that the Siege one I really want is gonna be free with Contingency Contract coming up! Other than that, they don't do much for me as the E2 art looks amazing as is... and I'm the only one that gets to see them so I can't flex.

Azur Lane tho I can flex with my defense fleet in PvP. Plus you can have multiple secretaries grace your home page at random. Being a man of culture, I can appreciate all the fan service bikini skins they throw out there... but it ain't for me. The in game chibis have to look just as good as the secretary full art to get my money. That being said... they just had to bring out a bunch of black dress skins.... and FINALLY Enterprise gets a skin that's not prudishly modest. INSTAPURCHASE! I went to town on the Qipao skins a few months ago. I'll probably buy most of these as well. I'll buy skins for characters I don't have yet if the art is good and the in game model looks cool. (I'm so glad I bought that Taihou L2D qipao now that I have her )

It was snowing just 2 weeks ago and now it's practically a heat wave with multiple days in the 80s. I got my window air conditioners in, but the outdoor support for my big one broke when I was testing it. The window I need this AC unit in is extra wide and can't support the weight of the unit so last year I used an umbrella stand with a metal fence post with a welded pipe on the top. It worked great, but the umbrella stand just not have been good for the weight and it snapped during my test.

So I spent today making a new support brace out of wood. I used a 4x4 and some scrap 1x6s I had from deck work I did last weekend. It's working good, I just need to fill dirt under the bottom of the base boards and then place some of my huge ass rocks all over the base for extra stability. It's all pressure treated wood so it should last for years.

Probably hard to tell from the pics but that's like 40-50 pounds of wood.

I got to Rear Admiral on Azur Lane's PVP. My fleet isn't meta so I probably won't finish at that rank. I can't compete with all 120s with a retrofit Warspite. Shes way too strong and its been a year and a half since they had the event to fully retro her. I'm 20 blueprints away from maxing Monarch and I got Amagi to 100 already. It's my backline that's holding me back. I'll have Tashkent, Belfast, and Ayanami to 120 by next week. 

So many new ships tho. I got everything on the new rate up except Swifty. The French event is coming up and I pounded out 20 clears of SP3 to get Tartu. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize you could get her for free until 2 days ago. I'll have to expand my dock again soon.... but anyway I hope they bring back the Warspite retro event... its BS it needs an event. They should have put it in a grindy head pat mission. Sandy too... I hear i need her AA for world 12. I'm half way through 10 right now.

I've used Yahoo mail for the better part of 20 years now. A few years ago they started adding these intrusive adds that look like emails, and you can accidentally click on them. They've always had ads on the side or as a video when the inbox is empty, but these are annoying. I guess one of the last Ublock updates made is possible to suppress these ads. Every once in a while I'll see it for a second loading in and it goes away when Ublock blocks it.

Now Yahoo has a pop up that demands the blocker be turned off or it reverts back to "old yahoo mail". At first this was an easy fix to where you could just turn the new version back on after it reverts... which serves no purpose outside of looking modern. But now you can't swap back until you tun it off or pay a sub fee... my email bookmark loads into the new version anyways, but the tactic has become more aggressive to where you can maybe click 2 times before it pops up again.

I mean what a joke. I'm not disabling my blocker out of spite. I use my phone email app more anyways, which blocks all ads. Yahoo gains nothing since they freely give out the POP3 info for you to use outlook or any other 3rd party email program that their ads can't be seen on.

Its finally warmed up around here. It snowed earlier this week and we've had over night freezing multiple days. And then abruptly it was almost 80 yesterday. now it's back down to the 60s, but at least it looks like winter is finally over. Now I can get some more yard work done without freezing my ass off. Lol.

And wtf.. we have gifs again? I thought it was disabled. Lol. Maybe ipb re-enabled it at some point and I never noticed.

I've never been so happy to get a haircut in my life. Barber shops were allowed to open up today. I guess knowing there would be an overflow of people, there are no walk ins, only same day appointments. I was able to call and get one in. When I got there they had to disconnect the phone because it would not stop ringing and they just couldn't cut hair and keep taking new appointments nonstop at the same time.

I finally finished iZombie after starting and dropping it a couple times over the years. Its all on Netflix and it was an enjoyable show. It came out during the height of the zombie craze thanks to TWD, but its nothing like a traditional zombie show whatsoever. Its basically a lighthearted police show reminiscent of Psych or Castle, but instead of a psychic or book author helping the police detective solve crimes, its the police morticians, mostly Liv, who ends up becoming a zombie in the first episode. But as long as she eats brains, she stays a mostly normal functioning human. As she eats brains she sees memories of the deceased and she basically poses as a psychic for the first season or so.. and then it gets very good as the zombie virus starts spreading as the series progresses.

Its an enjoyable show and only 5 seasons long so its an easy watch. The writing and acting is good and although alot of episodes are standalone, it does have an ongoing plot line for each season leading up to major developments thoroughout the entire series.

Finally. I've been wanting to play this since I beat Automata and now we'll get to play a remaster. Was kinda hoping they'd remaster both games but I'm quite happy with one of them (as the story beats are only slightly different between Gestalt and Replicant). Now if only they'd give us a release date (better not be in September, that's Cyberpunk time x.x).

Not entirely sure what this will be about but we're also getting a smartphone game. Still haven't announced if it's getting a release over here or not but still cool to see we're getting more Nier titles to continue the fantastic lore of this universe.

I borrowed a friend's air fryer last week. I let it sit for a week and then cleaned it good, just in case of conoravirus. I was pleasantly surprised with how it cooked shake and bake chicken tenders. They had a nice crispyness. I reheated some pork chops in it yesterday and it turned out good. But the home cut potato fries didn't turn out crispy, but super fluffy inside. I think I used too much oil. I'm still experimenting with this air fryer but so far I'm liking it. I think I might have to buy one.
