How are the subs? Do the translations keep the same mannerisms as the English VAs? I know if I watch a show dubbed first I'll like it better that way but if the subs at least keep the wording similar for each character I can usually switch between the versions no problem.

I don't like subs, especially after I'm accustomed to the dub voices. And I don't like all the extra sighs, grunts, and other filler sounds that are present in the subs that overly express things that are fine without them. I remember watching something that flipped to subbed one time and the scene started out with a view of a window with the character going huuuuuuh? aaaaaaaah? While looking at something and I'm like wtf is going on?

When I flipped back to dub, those sounds weren't there and the scene worked fine without the needless mumbling.
