I logged into BF1 today for the first time in 3 days and I had a Superior and Regular R5 battlepack waiting on me. I have no idea where they came from. I got the gold skin for the 12g automatic, but I scrapped it. R6 is pretty lame this week, I'll keep saving my scrap.... I'm waiting on a Legendary Martini skin.

I think everyone has those battle packs as I had them as well when I got on Thursday night (something to do with Battlefest I'm sure). Oddly enough I got the same legendary skin. As for R6 it's pretty meh but I would like to get my hands on the Frommer skin if I can find the time to play (dummy me bought Skyrim on Friday and it's addicting as hell).

I wonder if it's a battlefest thing or a premium thing. I don't have premium so I'll log in later and see if I have them or not.

It's most likely battlefest. We already got our BP for the month and it's a regular. They make have given us December's early, but the Superior has to be battlefest.
