  1. DICE should just stick to one property, I think Overwatch has proven you don't need a yearly or even bi-yearly release to have a successful FPS. Granted, I don't play OW anymore, but I did for over 2 years, and probably have more hours into it than even BF3 and MW2 combined. Making a good game, and supporting it thoroughly is much better than a half baked money grab every holiday season. Proper events, and new content at a decent clip is all you need. And it doesn't even have to be new maps. Now that I'm fully invested in two mobile games, and after years of reading how this Triple A games try to copy mobile games monetary strategy its amazing how they only take the money grab parts of it and not what actually makes people want to spend money on it. (again a decent flow of timed events, annual reruns of said events with added new content, and just new content in general every several weeks or so).
  2. Heads up @Strider Hiryu
  3. My internet went out over the weekend. Apparently the line in the ground was just very old. My cellphone gets really weak reception at the house so I can't really watch YT or even load webpages very well at times. But I learned mobile games somehow work flawlessly. XD Thankfully too, since I was able to get in a ton of Crimson Echos on AL. I just have D2 and D3 to 3 star, I have every ship except Amagi... which I will whale for at the end if she don't drop since shes top tier PvP. I'm 83% through getting Monarch, and about 20 blueprints from maxing Saint Louis. I'm glad Kaga (BB) dropped for me so I can spend all my event currency on blueprints, oil, and coins.

I also finally finished Chapter 4 of Arknights. Now that I have plenty of E2 operators, I felt confident about beating the boss. Holy shit and I barely just beat her. Myrtle is such an cheat code in this game. Is hard to believe shes only a 4 star vanguard. Yeah she only blocks one and 0 when her ability is active, but I just slap Projekt Red behind her and let the DP points come pouring in so I can set up as fast as possible. Its actually pretty boring to grind for mats and resources. I normally watch youtube or anime while I do that stuff so I actually decided to play the game again and I'm fully impressed with my upgraded units. Now that my internet is back though, i need to E2 more units to trudge into chapter 5. I already peeked at the first map design and I was like "nah fam, I need to get stronger". XD

  4. LOL. RIP. Karma is a bitch. They're gonna have to do a lot to convince me to ever buy another one of their games. Bad Company 3 or a Modern Warfare type reboot of BF3 is about the only thing that will peak my interest at this point.
  5. Sweet QoL updates, but I don't really care about Nightmare. On a side note, I finally pulled Ifrit and I'm building her up to E2 her soon. But for now I'll flex where I'm at until AL puts up Crimson Echos.
  6. It depends on how many games they do. The difference between KH and FF7 is that there is already an outlining story to go by. This is extremely hard to talk about without spoilers. They don't have to fit in Disney licensing issues (I always think back to Roger Rabbit, and Disney vs. WB character screen time issues), along with an original story. They just need the script to be voiced and to make the games. Taking two decades to make the whole thing at this point is risky business for sales. The age of the group that played the original or were even around to hear the hype is getting older. A lot of them could even pass away from old age by the end of that time as crazy as that sounds. that's nearing 60 years old give or take a good 5 years. Square treats KH like Blizz treats Starcraft and Diablo, but FF keeps coming out. Just doing a quick reference on Wiki, since 1987 they've released a FF game at an inconsistent sequence of every 1-3 years.
  7. It is a full game. Its a retelling of the original. If they did the whole story in one game like this, the PS4 probably wouldn't be able to hold it. The whole only 10% isn't going to hold up anymore now that its out because they put in an effort that's more than just better graphics and different combat system. You'll be waiting probably 6 years to get the full story if I had to guess. And the rest of it will probably be on PS5. It won't be as long between games now that the engine and systems have been built, but if I had to guess, it will still be 2 years between each part. The reason the price is so high is because its gotta be resellers. I saw the other day that physical is sold out everywhere. Just another reason why I do digital. Edit: lol replied at the same time as Sledge and said the same thing essentially.
  8. This game was a ride. Beautiful graphics, fun combat system, it was tough but forgiving. As I age, I don't have the patience for super tough battles. Fallen Order is about as difficult as I'll accept on the extreme side of things. The most important thing to me was that it was worth my money length-wise. The battles were fun and flashy, and the story delivered an cinematic experience that Hollywood continually fails at these days. Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Jessie, Wedge, Biggs, Red XIII... I love all these characters. They actually invested heavily into the VA cast with a lot of familiar people. I looked up the differences between the two and found them interesting but also saw how cool of a job they did of recreating some of these areas from the original. Now to the controversy
  9. This game is SO beautiful. The voice acting and facial expressions really shine. It looks like everyone's face was mokaped for the main 4 characters for the language. Their lips synced with what they're saying perfectly. The NPCs are the only ones where it gets sketch sometimes. I'm about 27 hours in. I think I might be in the final stretch for main missions so tomorrow I'm going to cycle through all the side missions that are popping up at random now. I did every single one of the ones that where available along the way but I got the "Once you do X, you can no longer go back" and now they're popping up as I walk along areas. I guess my biggest gripe is that if I'm almost at the end, I've gotten a lot of my weapons upgraded but it would have been nice to have some of the upgrades earlier instead of now that its almost over (at least the materia slots). The big problem with splitting the game up like this, is having to start over with all your gear again. Some of the weapons you can miss if you're not careful... like pretty much 90% of Tifa's gloves. Especially the Feathered Gloves which has her Starshower attack, which is by far the most bad ass looking attack and arguably the best if not only beaten by Omnistrike. I guess since I didn't play the original I don't sense where they've "padded" the story out. But from a dialogue standpoint its really well done, and its gonna make me said when I finish, yearning for more. The only improvement I'd like to see next go around is more idle phrases. They could have added more than 2 different sentences for the end of battle. Hearing Cloud say "Keep those gloves up" and "You're pretty good at this" 100 times does get repetitive.
  10. Italy was so bad because it has the oldest population of any nation, they all smoke, and they live in larger groups. I don't buy the getting it again. The immune system makes antibodies. Its a type of flu whether people like to say not to compare it to that or not. I don't understand why they didn't name it. Coronavirus is just a base terminology. H1N1, MERS, and SARS are all a coronavirus. I use to be a really sickly child, I'd get the flu every year. I've probably have had most every strain and I haven't had to flu in probably 2 decades with zero flu shots. Not trying to say I'm invincible. just that I've got a high immunity to it. I work at a grocery store and encounter thousands of people every week. I've been doing this for almost 20 years now. I can probably still get anything, but I don't get sick very often due to "herd immunity". There are stories of overcrowded hospitals, but there are just as many stories about hospitals shutting down because of a lack of patients since non essential medical procedures have been shut off. Plenty of posts about how the emergency room has short waits because people that don't have real emergencies aren't coming in because they are scared of the virus. Basically the ER is working as intended in a lot of areas because people aren't coming in with a headache.
  11. They took the first 5 hours of the original game and turned into 40 hours. The Boss fights can't be shortened by much even with a good strategy, you won't be able to deal an immense enough damage to make them short. They'll either be kinda long or really long. They're show pieces with minor cutscenes splice through out. Every boss has weak spots, and ailments that they're susceptible too. A lot of your highest damage output is through the command menu. I just beat a boss that pretty much rarely stayed still, it had a weak spot on each side but it kept turning non stop. Trying to use an ability on it would only connect if you're close to the right side and it was turning towards your attack while it does its wind up animation. I found the best method to every fight is to constantly switch characters. So far the game is beautiful, the voice acting is really good, and the combat is pretty fun.
  12. The curve is starting to flatten. Things will probably be back to normal in June as far as being able to go out into the public. After reading about how people that recovered where donating blood to give others their anti-bodies. I'm starting to wonder just how much good we did by quarantine. With a 98% survival rate, I feel like this could have been done better. A lot of people that could have survived without much issue probably would have been better off getting it and building a natural immunity to it for next time it comes around providing less suitable hosts. Hopefully there will be a vaccine by next year. I still think this was more overblown than it should have been and we could have gone on with our lives like during the H1N1 outbreak. I've also read how other countries just had the elderly quarantine. It probably would have cost significantly less to keep all the elderly and sick home, only give them stimulus checks, bump up social security pay outs instead of unemployment since much less people would have lost their jobs. Then there could have been a secondary program that would help those that missed 2 weeks of work from it.
  13. *floods the forum with every YT post meant for yesterday and today.*
  14. Big ups to FUNI to making sure the dub process for Fruits Basket Season 2 happened. I lost track since I haven't been logging in daily since the dubs all stopped from last season, but I checked in on a whim and saw the ep was uploaded a day or two ago and behold it was in English! 💓

  15. Yeah my 360 controllers were always looking grungy back in the day. hopefully there are color options. My main gripe is that they didn't show the back of the controller. It obviously has buttons back there, or else there would have been no issue showing it. Instead we got the ole "We'll show you more later" at the end.
