Kotor/TOR is still up in the air as it stands. No one knows for sure if anything that came before The Phantom Menace is canon or not considering it was all written and conceived well after the original Trilogy came out. Nothing has really been said and I know prior to their creation Lucas had a no prequel policy in place banning all writers and what not from touching anything that came before A New Hope and later The Phantom Menace. That all changed once he greenlit the Kotor games but like I said everything is up in the air since Disney bought the franchise. Lucas has no say in where his creation goes from here on out. And yes Sledge the next 3 movies take place after The Return of the Jedi.

I'm royally pissed that all the extended universe got thrown out because there is a lot of awesome stuff that happens after The Return of the Jedi (I have not read many of the books but I've read up on what happens). Thrawn is just the tip of the ice berg (plus now it throws out my all time favorite Star Destroyer, The Eclipse Class. The thing packs one of the Death Stars lasers for gods sake. The thing can destroy on planet on its own).

As I said I'm holding my excitement for an actual trailer that reveals the story. Once I see that I'll make my judgement on whether or not I see it.

Since we were out of Advanced Warfare last night I picked up Shadows of Mordor ($25) as well and I also picked up Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag ($25) since all my friends say it was quite the awesome game and I've been meaning to buy it. You already know about my anime orders from my status so yeah, I spent way to much money this year on Black Friday stuff.

There never will be a Warcraft 4. Much like how The Old Republic is supposed to be Kotor 3, 4, 5, etc the same thing falls in line for WoW. Plus WoW has all but killed the original Warcraft lore that was set in stone by the first 3 games that now I don't even know where we stand story wise (hell they're currently trying to write out the whole demon blood tainting for the orcs). Plus, lets face it, Warcraft will never be the same now that it was made into an MMO (something I hope never happens for Starcraft). Honestly I quit playing WoW due to Blizzard's complete disrespect for the original lore they wrote for the original three games (lore that made me love the series).

I won't be getting Hardline. The beta was fun but it's just not Battlefield for me. Seems to cliche to me. I'll most likely be buying Battlefront depending on it's release date (I have the FF Expansion (both PS4 and PC versions), Legacy of the Void, and The Division to buy next year) and whenever they announce it BF5 (which has been confirmed but it's still in early development).

I really blame Activision's bullshit on it. IMO the game was probably twice the size from what we got. Why would you have place holders for a 3rd sub-class and Jupiter on the map? There are more material and consumable slots than you can fill. There are plenty of videos of players accessing areas already made where bungie will insert enemies and stuff that were probably removed in the first place. The next raid area after Dark Below is in the game, and was accessed by players in the alpha. Activision got greedy and wanted more money so they had Bungie chop the game into 3 pieces and will ask you for more money a year from now... probably when the original DLC was suppose to come out. They didn't like the slow DLC cycle and had to have money then and there.

The gaming industry is sadly like US politics. Its a 2 party system, (Activision and EA) and both of them screw you over.

This is going to be extremely biased but I absolutely loved the first Halo, it will remain one of my all time favorite shooters as it was the one that got me into playing them (yea I'm a huge Halo fanboy, it was the main reason I got an XBox). Yea the story is rather cliche in most parts but the original Halo was still a great game that had a rather engaging story (if you want more on my opinion go read the old review I did for it in the archives).

The second Halo is by far one of their greatest flops of all time for me. Yea it did wonders for multiplayer but as a single player game it sucked. They tried to do too much in such a small amount of time that it was honestly a cluster fuck of a game. They introduced a second character (the Arbiter) who's story basically killed the game for me as his story was bland and uninteresting compared to what John-117 was doing. The weapons were severely nerfed from what they were in Halo and gah I just don't know how else to explain it.

Halo 3 (yea I know you asked for the first two but lets run down the line to give them a little more clarity on their game making) was a good game, not great and not terrible but good. It did a good job of wrapping up the story as a whole and did much to redeem Bungie for me after the horrible game that was Halo 2 but it wasn't as good as the first one for me. It was still a fun game.

Halo 3: ODST was a great game for what it was. My love for this game is mostly cemented for the fact that they used Nathon Fillion, Alan Tudyk, and Adam Baldwin as voice actors and well we all know I love Firefly so yeah. The game had a good story, great characters, and was extremely fun to play (and a bitch to get through on Legendary).

Reach is another game that I loved. A lot of people hated it but I on the other hand loved every minute of it (I say that without having beaten it on Legendary). It gave me back all the weapons I loved, introduced me to my favorite Halo weapon (the DMR), let me see how Reach fell (one of my major interests as a Halo Lore buff), and introduced us to Spartans that actually had more emotions then John-117. Although I already knew how the game was going to end the story was still extremely engaging. Honestly, after Halo, Reach is my second favorite game in the series.

So yea Bungie has a history of ups and downs and it seems they're on a downward spiral right now with Destiny. They're trying to do so much with this game and sadly are getting nowhere with it because they don't know how to deliver everything they had promised while still balancing everything for both sets of players (Hardcore and Casual). Sadly they've been leaning more towards keeping their Hardcore players and giving us casual players the shaft around every corner. They need to go back and look at what they did with the Halo games to learn where they're going wrong with Destiny as well as, as much as I hate to say this as they're not the greatest examples of development team awesomeness, get with Blizzard and figure out how to make this game deliver on the casual content.

I may or may not be on tonight, depends on how motivated I feel to go grind currency for my next armor piece in FFXIV. I have to say the Patience and Time is quite the amazing sniper rifle. Thing has little to no kick making it the perfect rapid shot sniper rifle. Took out four targets with it this morning in a matter of seconds. It also hits like a truck. Hell I might like it more then my Ice Breaker.

Also took my chances on the Exotic Engram and got myself the Mask of the Third Man (which is exactly what I wanted). Once it's fully leveled I'll have a helm for my Blade Dancer and a helm for my Gunslinger meaning I'll be extremely effective as both subclasses now. Yay!

I just picked up the Shadow Price this morning before I got off after turning in a crap ton of Spinmetal just to get the marks. I tried it out for a little while earlier while I was farming more Spinmetal for my Ice Breaker. It's going to take some getting used to as I'm not used to the slow fire rate yet but the damage potential of this gun is amazing. Give it a few upgrades and it'll hold it's own in both the Crucible and in Vault. Now all I need to do is get my hands on a Void Fusion Rifle or Shotgun and I'll be ready to go for Vault the next time we attempt it.

Even though the "exploit" has been fixed I do see Ice Breaker becoming a very valuable tool for that part since those Hobgoblins are a pain in the ass. I did find a nice little spot to hide from them but it puts you directly in the Templar's line of fire and makes it hard to find Oracles when they spawn.

I noticed that your body block was very effective. Sadly we're a bit squishy so I'm more about keeping distance between myself and them. The one thing I noticed though is we seemed to drop them faster as long as we called out where they were coming from. As long as we communicate it's actually a lot easier to hold the points. I noticed the hardest points to hold are the right plate and left plate as the spawn rates for those are completely ridiculous. The middle is a little easier to hold as whoever is there gets a little more time to effectively set themselves up for the next wave, even giving themselves some time to throw some help at the others (as long as there is two people). I wouldn't of had trouble with them if I had had a void weapon when I held middle but it just got overwhelming when your weapon is doing nothing more then 20 damage a hit on the shields and less then 60 on the main body.

I need to add Avolanty and soccerking to my friends list, will probably do so tonight.

So I finally had time to screw around with my Ice Breaker and I really like it (plus it sounds so freaking awesome). Regen time on the ammo is freaking fast too, fully understand why it's such a sought after weapon. Fully intend on using it to it's fullest (but I still need to get a better main hand, I like the hand cannon but I just feel so underpowered with it) and luckily with it I now have a sniper rifle of all damage types so I'm covered.

Ward of Dawn is probably the most effective for high level situations as Sunsinger really doesn't bring much the the plate other then the solar damage and their ability to self res (plus Song of Flame does decrease cooldowns for all fire team members when it's activated but it takes away the self res ability). I've looked at the tree fully as I'm leveling my Warlock as a sunsinger but really it's not that great (I do love their grenade types though). Honestly a Voidwalker is better to bring along for all high level encounters.

I do want Hard Light and would like to get my hands on the Suros Regime (I got a thing for Auto Rifles, what can I say). Sadly they won't be of much use since Sledge and Avolanty helped me get my Ice Breaker today I don't think I'll be switching off of that weapons for awhile (which means I need to get a Legendary Auto Rifle or get used to using my Hand Cannon till I get one). This is the reason I hate the only one Exotic can be equipped at a time rule, kinda screws people over who have more then one Exotic weapon (so many choices, I have 3 now and am working on my 4th one).

I cleaned up my bounties and got the moat of light I needed to buy the Exotic Engram.... what do ya know? I got myself an exotic helm! Two things from Xur in one day... I call that a successful play session.

Its real adjustment switching from hand cannons to pulse rifle. I'll reserve my judgement until I max it out, but I still like my blue hand cannon better. Over the years I've went from a spray and pray run and gun type mentality with the MP5, Type 100, AK47, FAL Full Auto on COD, to a precision shooter starting with the DMR's on Battlefield, M14 on PAYDAY2, and now scout rifles and hand cannons on Destiny. I love the one shot head pop. I'm kinda missing it right now, but I'm looking forward to this guns perks... and my defender class is shaping up quite nicely to be a good companion to it.

I also farmed some Old Russia public events. The timer showed its flaws when I first landed in.... The Steppes public event launched and it wasn't due for another 16 minutes according to the website. I was able to get the Mothyard and Divide events to spawn for me. I have the least success at the Forgotten Shore, even though its uncommon and not rare. Skywatch is highly reliable one, but I'm too lazy to run through the hive room and the subsequent battle between hive and fallen just to get to it. Its only a minute ahead of Mothyard so I just stick with that area since it is close and seems to have a good success rate of triggering.

I have two images that I'm currently using. This one I use for my lock screen:

And here is the main background:

Both are cropped images. I occasionally swap my backgrounds around, but I'm lazy and only do it a couple times a year. I would use the same image for both screens but I thought it was cool that I could use two separate images so I've never used the same for both.

Aside from the Photon 4g and my galaxy s3, I've never owned a phone that was worth changing images on except maybe my old Razor 2 phone that I custom backgrounds of One Piece, but with the crappy 640x480 screen that phone had no real quality.

I used to always have pictures of my dog as wallpapers, but now I like to stick with star wars or anime images. The photon 4g I had did have some decent looking animated wallpapers, but they always seemed to suck away the battery faster so ever since then I've gotten used to never having any animated images. I'm sure there are probably some good ones out there, but I need to save my battery life.. Its so annoying having to charge my phone at work.

*edit* I fixed the first image.

To do a spin take on the "What does your desktop look like?" topics of old... After discussing gaming apps today with Sledge, It had me wondering. What is your phone's lock screen/wallpaper? I remember when I purchased my first color screen phone... it was a Sony Ericsson, and it had a joystick to move between options.... I was the shit until I got outside and the sun rendered the screen useless. !!! I stuck with Sony Ericsson for a long time into the Walkman phone era, when animated wallpaper was possible. I remember the animated wallpapers were like Windows 95 screen savers... but it was so awesome on a phone, with its 5 megapixel camera! LOL

Anyways are you a dynamic animated wallpaper type? Preloaded stock image type? Plain and simple? Customized/cropped pic? Selfie? GF/BF/Spouse pic background? Or do you have a bland single color background?

I don't think my Sexy Sailor V should come as a surprise....

Shouldn't be that surprising that it's Gundam related (and it's a cropped image) but I tend to change it every few months. Last time it was Char's Zaku and before that it was an Alternative model who's work I follow (Cervena Fox). Probably be switching it up again sometime soon, got some new wallpapers I wanted to play around with.

Heh, no problem Sledge. I enjoyed playing last night though I still hate you for getting that Sniper Rifle

I'll be farming the hell out of those Queen's Wrath missions until she gives me my damn rifle because I want it so damn badly. She better cough it up before the 6th or I'm going to be royally pissed.

I love our pre-wrath banter, especially when we find out what the damn mission is (I freaking hate Oryx and Gate Lord, so sick in tired of doing them). So freaking hilarious. I just wish more people used their damn headsets in this game, gets kinda boring running Strikes with no one talking (though I'm sure those guys we've run with think we're dorks by the way we talk when we do them )

The bounties are a cinch but can be rather tedious. The ones for today are 200 fallen headshots, 200 ether drops from Fallen, Kill 3 Fallen Walkers, Play a crucible match with the Queen's Class Item/Shader/Emblem (all 3) equipped, 20 headshots on guardians with handcannons, 15 headshots on guardians with a sniper rifle. Tedious but doable (though the Queens Items one can't be done till your rank 2 with her).

So I was out farming spinmetal today to upgrade my armor when I found a legendary engram in a chest. Went to the Cryptarch to decrypt it and got myself the biggest surprise of my life. I got an Exotic and it's the PS4 exclusive Auto Rifle the Monte Carlo.

Look at the pretty rifle. I'm now in love with the Cryptarch until the next time the bastard trolls me (which will be tomorrow I'm sure).

Heh, the Draksis one was easy once we figured out the exploit (shhh, no one tell Bungie). The Queen is a heartless bitch sending us on these damn near impossible missions, nearly crapped myself when we did the moon boss the first time because I was severely undergeared for it. They're fun as hell though and I'm going to go look up all those damn modifiers before we do this again so I know exactly what we're walking into from now on. No more of this surprise shit. I also suggest you bring a friend or two along as well, I would of hated to attempt those alone.

The Queen trolled DX and I pretty hard tonight giving us three legendary helms and one legendary chest piece. I think her and the Cryptarch are in on this together because I also got trolled on my very first legendary engram (at least it was a blue rocket launcher better then the first one I had). Ohwell though, I just hit rank 1 with Dead Orbit so one more rank to grind and I'll be able to start buying armor if I can't get any better arm and leg pieces out of this event (hit 24 also by getting a new piece of arm armor out of the Crucible).

Before my internet decided to have its daily fit, Strider and I ran a few of the Queen's Wrath missions. They aren't to be taken lightly.

    The Rundown:
    Level 24 - Very Hard
Epic Modifier - Heavily Shielded more aggressive enemies
3 random modifiers - They don't even tell you what they are, you just have to memorize the symbols
Giant Boss Ending Missions - so far that's all we've seen

We did the giant moon boss twice, Rikisi in Old Russia, and Draksis on Venus. There was a lot of hiding and running away to wait for the downed to spawn. We found an exploit on Draksis where you could stand outside the door of the throne room and light him up until he dies. If you enter the throne room, the door locks shut, and you're pretty fucked. I was dying instantly trying to run away.

DX almost had him at the end with that smash. At least my suicide run worked out this time.
