I'll try fucking with the image size because I'm still getting the 504 Gateway Timeout error every time I try to upload a screenshot of my character (which might be the problem since it is 1920 x 1080).
I also have no comment on the absurdity that has proceeded this comment (I really should check the show out but its just to weird, even for me).

Archer is pretty fun to play, especially once it becomes Bard (it's a blast at 80 from what I hear which is great because Bard is my 4th favorite job to play after Samurai, Ninja, and Scholar (still need to level it to 80 though)). Lucky for you the trial goes until level 35 so you can unlock Bard and try it out (as well as any other class and job that's not locked behind an expansion (Dark, Astro, and Machinist are locked behind Heavensward. Samurai and Red Mage behing Stormblood. Dancer and Gunbreaker behind Shadowbringers)). I'll warn you though the ARR content is a rough grind through (it's fun in the early game but gets tedious as fuck once you clear the main story of ARR) and causes a lot of potential new players to quit due to the sheer content to go through.
Not going to lie with the tank changes they are so much more fun to play then they ever have been. Sadly you're stuck to Glad/Paladin and Mara/Warrior but both have their fun aspects if you want to try out a tank (I prefer Paladin since I like to solo old content but Warrior is a freaking beast in the right hands).
Hmm, must be your router settings then. I dl'd all of Shadowbringers in 20 minutes on a 6-12 mb dl (after I had to fuck with my setting because it kept killing itself, didn't stay constant). Then again you were downloading the entirety of ARR which is pretty fucking huge (Shadowbringers was only 7.5 gigs or so).
I honestly think you'll enjoy it once you start getting further along. Dungeons are a blast to play through and the story is pretty fucking good in ARR (not Shadowbringers good sadly but still good. Sadly a lot of the quests are rather repetitive but what quests aren't in an MMO). Plus the community is awesome and most people are always willing to help you out if you need it (don't know what server you're on but for the most part every server is full of helpful and friendly people).

I ended up starting out with Archer, purely for thigh highs . Nah, in reality I always play tank classes so I decided to go with something different. But I've barely put in any combat, mostly just running errands right now. I will say this game is fucking beautiful. I do like how the movement controls are like GW2. Sweet Christmas its rare to find an MMO that doesn't rely on an action camera or the mouse cursor to turn your character/camera rather than A/S/Q/E. I think Blade and Soul would induce my vertigo because I'd fidget the mouse while in combat making the camera sway back and forth.

I signed up for a free trial. Ugh, their launcher would only download at 1.25mbps. So it took all night. I dont know what I want to play yet. I was looking at Dark Knight or Bard, but they've both seemed to change quite a bit with the new expac. Honestly I don't know how I'll like it, I can never get over not being able to dodge like in GW2. XD. Well see how it goes and if I'll pick it up for real.

See I have that problem with UPS in my area. Almost every package I get through them is usually banged up (luckily nothing has been damaged). FedEx is generally the one you want delivering your package around here.

I should smack you for this blasphemy but I'll let it slide. Your Name is a fucking masterpiece and by far Shinkai's best work (I still favor The Promised Place in our Early Days and Voices of a Distant Star (which has not aged well but it's still amazing)) in years. To each their own though, as much as I love Spirited Away it fails to beat out Your Name (and My Neighbor Totoro (my all time favorite Ghibli movie followed by Nausicaa and Mononoke-hime). Shinkai's works are kind of hit or miss for most people (I guess I'm just a die hard fan) and while I find it to be a masterpiece it is kinda over-hyped.

Senko with a squeaky voice would be horrid, it'd take away from her healing factor (I haven't heard her dub voice but her Japanese VA is amazing, they chose well on that one).
Can we just say that FB is fucking amazing? The newest ep is a probably my favorite episode thus far (so much emotion) and her Grandfather is a fucking badass (that's all I'll say). Gah, kinda wish I would of watched the original all the way through but I'm glad it's getting this remake because I never knew I needed this show in my life until now (same could be said for Senko-san as well).

They definitely could have done a lot better with it. You pretty much covered it all. Its entertaining all the way through if you just take it for what it is. I always wonder what popular classics wouldn't have reached their cult status if critics and content creators had as much influence today as back then when they were non existent. Not saying that Asuka would be considered a masterpiece if it was from that time or anything.

@DeathscytheX Yea I use the PS4 app and its fucking terrible. It worked perfectly when I started to use it (back when I was watching Hellsing Ultimate) but started to go to shit like shortly after (in fact it was horrendous when I was watching Corpse Princess). I hadn't used it since I finished Corpse Princess so I was hoping it was fixed but honestly it's not and my issue is the buffering problem (which also persists in the Phone App as well leading me to conclude the PS4 and Mobile apps are either the same or based on the same architecture). It works fine on my PC (which I tested Saturday night) but ever since I started watching anime through the CR app on PS4 I kinda don't like watching shit on my PC anymore (I like to watch shit while I'm in bed, kinda hard to do when my PC isn't in line of sight)) but I just don't really want to watch it there (as noted). Honestly there is quite a bit on Funimation I'd like to watch (more then I originally thought since CR lost everything when the partnership ended) and it's the only place I can currently stream Isekai Quartet and Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san (which is fucking adorable and so relaxing to watch) so I really don't want to drop my sub yet. After Senko and Isekai are done airing I'll revisit whether or not I want to cancel my sub.
@Sledgstone Hmmmm, maybe I'll get the week trial then and binge it (once I'm done watching Letterkenny on Hulu (god this show is fucking awesome, if you have Hulu check it out it's fucking hilarious)) since my curiosity is getting the best of me here (I really want to know more about this tech Discovery has because they don't explain it in STO at all). That was my major issue with watching it was their complete fuck-up with the Klingons. I can live with TOS Klingons because it's canon and actually explained in TNG why they are the way they are but those abominations in Discovery are not Klingons. Everything else looked pretty amazing but I just couldn't get past the those looks.
I plan on watching the rest of Enterprise but it's hard to find the time when I rarely watch anything besides anime now-a-days (I make time here and there for TV/Movies occasionally but I'm always on my PC playing FFXIV or doing other shit and usually have Twitch on as background noise) especially since I got screwed and the channel carrying it back when it was airing went off the air in my area so I only got to see up until the end of S2 (I got to see S3 and part of 4 back when SyFy used to run marathons of it but never got further then that). I actually liked the whole boy scout aspect of it since this was technically humanity's first foray into space (it did get slightly annoying but it was still enjoyable).
Yea the whole space jesus thing was probably the one of the only things that rubbed me the wrong way in DS9. Never really could wrap my head around it but that only really becomes a massive plot point later on. Still didn't detract from my enjoyment though (especially since some of my favorite Star Trek characters are in DS9). Plus it also introduced my favorite Federation starship (the Defiant, god I love that little ship. Not as much as I like my Presidio Class in STO (it's such a beautiful ship and fucking powerful)).

Just watched the first two episodes on Fruits Basket tonight and I'm totally on board with it. This and Demon Slayer will most likely be going down as my two favorites of this season (Hittoribocchi is up there too but these two definitely take the cake).

I've seen maybe half of the original series (back at my first college when I was a part of the anime club) and it was enjoyable. I completely forgot the new one started airing last week so I never got around to watching it so I'll have to do it Saturday night when I watch all the other shit I was going to watch this season.
You want all about the feels Sledge you need to watch Violet Evergarden, that will hit you so hard in the feels that everything else will pale in comparison. I say this having seen a lot of shows along the lines of Fruits Basket (we're talking so many you'd almost think I was a girl (yea, I'm into Shoujo shit and I'm not afraid to admit it)) and Violet Evergarden blows them all out of the water for it's pure portrayal of emotions (I always thought nothing would ever beat Clannad for pure emotional portrayal but VE did so). While I'll never rank any anime over Aria (I'm sorry but nothing will ever dethrone this show (for reference this dethroned Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam for my all time favorite anime) due to the pure enjoyment I get from the series (and yes I watch it once a year that's how much I love it)) Violet Evergarden comes extremely close  (god I still need to see the movie, come on Netflix get on it damnit).

Strider Hiryu got a reaction from Sledgstone in Anthem isn't perfect. It probably should have been delayed another 6-8 months, but it
Dragon Age 4 has already been confirmed to be in development but whether or not it will continue is up in the air currently with this latest fiasco. I also recently started playing TOR again so I'd really hate for that to get shuttered as well (though it is on the outs, current dev team is only 6 or so people).
With everything I've been hearing about Div 2 I'm sure it'll be a success but I'll hold my thoughts for after this weekends open beta but if it delivers more content both in the beginning and in the endgame it'll put the nail in the coffin for Anthem. I wouldn't go so far as to push Anthem to next gen but I definitely think it needed at least another 6 months before they launched it.
Gaming has been into a downfall ever since DLC became a thing back in the early 360/PS3 days and has continued to do so ever since Publishers have realized they can start monetizing every game like they do MMO's and Mobile games. Games as a service is probably the worst thing to ever happen to the industry and it's really turning me away from gaming outside of FFXIV and the few titles like Nier and Horizon. As much as I love this hobby I'm getting to the point where I can take it or leave it (I mean I'm down to buying 2-3 games a year now and rarely have time to even finish 1 of them).

Honestly I'm not all that surprised based off of what I played in the demo and what I've seen since the early release and actual release. Destiny, for all its flaws, is a much better designed game that sadly went through the same shit twice only to redeem itself twice (it's just sad it took a $40 expansion to fix both games). Anthem is suffering from a rushed release and quite honestly a fraction of the BioWare we all remember. I can't help but see a lot of the same animation issues and bugs that Andromeda suffered from when watching this and that's odd considering this is the A team at BioWare, the team that brought us the original Mass Effect Trilogy. It's really telling just how much AAA games are starting to crash and burn. I just hope this isn't the end for BioWare because I'm actually looking forward to Dragon Age 4 (I doubt this will be but I can see a lot of changes happening if BW can't turn this around).
This review is probably the best I've seen since the release on the 15th. TeaWrex is one of the few streamers who's opinion I actually value and he really enjoys this game for what it is but he's pointed out all the flaws and I think wraps this up very well (I mean he's a 494 Storm and has placed 60+ hours into the game, if that's not enjoying it I don't know what is). I won't buy this game based on this review because it's not for me. It's a flawed wreck of burning trash that will eventually become the game it needs to be but sadly was not able to be that game at launch. This trend of releasing half finished, buggy messes is starting to kill the industry and the games we all love and sadly it won't go away due to publishers like EA and Activision.

Strider Hiryu got a reaction from DeathscytheX in Totally hyped for the new expansion for FFXIV, Shadowbringers, after this mornings an
My only worry is the story. I get it not everyone played The Division for the story but I actually enjoyed it and they never continued the main story from vanilla The Division which always rubbed me the wrong way (yea I know there's audio files and what not down in the Underground that kinda give you some semblance of where Keener went but the 3 dlc's never continued that story). I was kinda hoping they'd continue that story with the 2nd game (back before we knew we were getting one) and it looks like it won't due to the setting and what little we can glean from the trailers. I actually really liked the gameplay for the original, it's probably one of the better looter shooters our there even if the drop RNG sucked balls originally (I really like what they did with the game by adding it loot caches for leveling up and adding that new pier area, it really added more to do). My only real problem is the fact that while you can, technically, play the game solo it's obvious the game is structured to be played with friends and The Division 2 even more so (while that's not difficult for most people to accomplish it's hard for me when I have no other friends buying it besides you, all my other friends hated the original and have no interest in this one) and that really sucked the fun out of it for me which is why I quit playing The Division. I honestly hope its a good game but I won't be buying it unless it gets stellar reviews (much like my thoughts on Anthem).
Heh, 2B would break SSBU like she did Soul Caliber so maybe it's a good thing she's not in it (though I would not be against it and it's not like there aren't plenty of other characters that break the game).

Smash is amazing. I beat World of Light two days ago. It took me around 34 hours. Quite impressive for a "campaign". It wasn't perfect, and there were a lot of things they could have improved on it to make it truly in depth and interesting. But for what it is, it's a blast for sure. If Kirby, Mario, Marth or Shiek isn't one of your best, you might be waiting a long time to unlock someone you love though. There is a cheese method, but I went with the legit route. At least the larger, heavier characters are worth plaything. They're quite nimble while keeping their power. Bowser was super clutch for me at times when I needed more damage per hit, and I've never liked playing as him. By the end of it I was flipping between my main Ness, Lucina, and Fox, with a sprinkle of Captain Falcon, Belmont, and Bowser.
Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are fantastic games as well. I have a lot of smaller games like Mega Man 11 and the Blaster Master remastered. I typically save those for when I'm sitting at the repair shop waiting on maintenance. It may not be my most played console, but its def the most clutch console for boring situations.

Strider Hiryu got a reaction from DeathscytheX in The two best anime this season so far are Goblin Slayer and SSSS.Gridman. Goblin Slay
Gridman is a joy, I adore everything about it and it's been a hell of a ride so far (not sure where Simuldub is but damn did we get a huge cliffhanger at the end of ep 10). Goblin Slayer is ok, I like it and I like it's dark tone but it's kinda just dragging now for me (then again I am 10 episodes in). The rape scene wasn't all that bad (and by what I've been told it's a hell of a lot more graphic in the manga) so I don't know why it got all that coverage. Yea it happened, yea it was dark, and yea it was cringy but honestly it wasn't that bad.
Honestly my top three for this season are That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (I'm enjoying the show way to much, every episode has be a joy to watch), Zombieland Saga (another joy of a show. I hate idol based stuff but this show is just to fucking perfect), and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (I adore this how only because of Sakuta, his deadpan humor and approach to life is just hilarious. As a whole though the show has an interesting premise and the story is pretty damn good).
Another good show (but sadly not a simuldub) is Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san. Its such a charming show that I'm sure you'd get a kick out of since you work retail. I'm honestly surprised by the amount of good shows this season. It's kind of nice to actually look forward to watching a new episode every week instead of just binging old shows I haven't watched yet on Crunchy/Funi (like Shikabane Hime (which I finished last week) and KonoSuba (finished S1, will start S2 on Sunday)).

This is why I stream. I don't miss the old days of swapping out discs every few eps. I still buy movies, but screw buying series anymore. I remember buying Fullmetal Alchemist for $100 from Moviestop the days when internet retail was in its infancy. I still remember the 20ft shelf at Suncoast Video that held the entire DBZ series on VHS. I haven't bought a series in over 16-17 years, but I remember thinking what a load of crap that 4 eps a disc was. Especially after a friend bought me a bootleg rip of Samurai Champloo from Half.com and it was all on a single DVD. Man those were the days when half.com was not regulated and you could get all kinds of burned DVDs for a fraction of the cost. DVD RW was a new technology, and anyone that could afford to upgrade was making a serious profit for minimal effort. The only series I'd consider buying is Violet Evergarden if it ever gets a US physical release. Every now and then I feel like dropping netflix, one day I might.

The movie is already on sale (https://www.rightstufanime.com/Sword-Art-Online-the-Movie-Ordinal-Scale-Blu-ray). Aniplex still retains the rights to sell all DVD/BD and other merchandise, Funi just got the english stream rights when Sony acquired the company.
The only thing that sucks about Aniplex is they're extremely overpriced for anything you want to buy (fuck the BD's for SAO are still $60 a pop) through them, it's the reason I haven't bought Kill la Kill yet (I paid out my ass for the Gurren Lagann BD boxset, well worth it since it's GL but damn was it expensive (for comparison I just ordered a new mouse and keyboard for $198, $10 more then I paid for GL)).

Arc wise S1 was the best, story wise the Mother's Rosario arc is by far superior (god did I cry my eyes out at the end of that, so fucking good). The Asuna/Asuna's Mom drama was kinda meh, it was nice to see what actually motivates Asuna but I think it was put mostly there to contrast her relationship with Yuuki (and how close Yuuki and her family were).
That's kind of the problem with the secondary females, they all get under utilized and overshadowed by Asuna because she's Kirito's love interest. It really sucks since, while I like Asuna, my favorite of the female cast has always been Sinon (she's such a better developed character with so much more to offer than Asuna (again not hating on her but still)) and Yuuki (though they did right by Yuuki in the book and the show).
They kind of did it with the movie as well, pushing Asuna way to the forefront and regulating all the other characters to secondaries (even Kirito gets this treatment for the first half of the movie (considering it is Asuna focused)). Sadly the movie wasn't everything I was hoping it would be (but it was nice to finally see what the final boss of SAO would of been) but it was still an enteraining couple of hours.

As a casual fan I enjoyed it. The main protagonist is a crybaby "I dont wanna kill anyone" trope. but that seems to be gundam if you aren't an emotionless tool. The animation is great, mixing classic old school gundam and modern techniques. Some cost cutting CGI is thrown in on minor scenes, but it's not a big deal. The mecha designs are sexy AF. The Sinanju's Red Comet inspired design is by far my favorite. My biggest props to this series is it's one hour format that features no intro. All 60 min is pure storytelling. No shortcuts are taken, and no wasteful scenes.
