  1. It sounds like anything co-licensed by both Funi and CR will remain on both platforms as will big name shows like AoT and MHA. Outside of that it seems like pretty much anything they were sharing will be lost (mostly shows where Funi has the license and the same with CR). Honestly it sucks but then again I'm not overly affected by it considering I've seen just about every title Funi has that interests me (though I will be sad if CR loses The Saga of Tanya the Evil, the movie comes out next year and I was really hoping CR would get the stream rights for it but since Funi owns the license for the series I'm pretty sure they'll get the movie as well (though I will probably just end up buying it). Well that and I want be able to re-watch it again until I buy the series (same could be said for Koyabashi's Dragon Maid, such a cute and fun series)). It does suck for those who were hoping the stream options would stay somewhat consolidated and easier on their wallet (to many fucking streaming services now, especially for anime).

  2. Overlord was extremely good despite the extremely slow start but it was necessary to set up what happened later in the season. Overall I'm happy with how things progressed and really hope they green light a fourth season (especially with how things left off) and as far as I know there's still plenty of story left to adapt before they catch up with the novels.

While Steins;Gate 0 was amazingly good (the drama, the emotional investment, the amount of fuck you moments) I felt it didn't live up to the original. Then again it's not supposed to because this isn't exactly a sequel but a what if had Okabe made the decision not to go to Stein's;Gate. I also felt that a lot of the drama was placed in the show just to be drama (the whole deal with Kagari, the Professor, Amadeus, etc) and draw the show (or in this case the game) out. I felt Okabe's struggle in the original was much more emotional and harder on him then this season (I mean he watched Mayuri die countless times trying to figure out how to fix his mistakes, something we didn't see here and it completely killed him inside (hence the whole split at episode 23 where we branched into 0)) though not to say this was less harder for him. Overall one of the best shows of the last season that I actually watched (not saying much as I only watched it and Overlord, MHA doesn't count as it carried over from the previous season).

  3. SE has been tweeting a shit ton about this and it caught my interest. I might get this after watching that (looks good and hey it's got mechs, a win in my book. This also depends on whether or not AC7 has sucked out my soul or not by then (the Deluxe edition comes with AC5 for PS4, I might have to drop the $85 to pre-order it now because that's my favorite game in the series)).

  4. It's about the only development you'll get for this season (sadly I have nothing left to watch as the season ended Saturday) as he's kinda put off to the side after that but I will admit it was needed, I really don't like him as a character but I'm happy they finally started to develop him beyond just being Deku's primary rival/antagonist. It's nice to see that there is actually something that motivates him and that he actually isn't just a hard head all the time.

  5. I mean what did they expect? Releasing BF5 right between COD and Red Dead was a stupid fucking mistake, it's no wonder their pre-order numbers were lower than expected. EA ran into the same shit with Titanfall 2 when it released so you'd of thought they'd learn from their lesson. Honestly I'm happy they're pushing it back a month. This will give them time to get features into the game that weren't going to be their at launch in October and maybe give them time to actually start marketing this thing a lot better. I'm honestly on board for all the changes they've implemented (even the ammo shortage, I think it's a nice change and will make you rely more on teamwork then ever before (which is what they're going for in BF5) though I could give two shits less about cosmetics in an FPS (yea lets give you these retarded camo's that will make you stick out, that's what war is about).

Am I going to buy it? Yes but I won't pre-order it because I've been burned one to many times by EA and the industry at large. I'll probably get it closer on Black Friday since I'll have a 4 day weekend to play it and honestly pre-order bonuses aren't worth anything to me anymore (outside of FFXIV related shit, I'm a sucker for the pre-order shit they have (I need my minions and mounts damnit >.<)). There are only two games I'll pre-order that are coming up, Cyberpunk 2077 (that gameplay demo has me fucking sold on the premise now) and Ace Combat 7 (though, if it's announced in Nov, I will be pre-ordering the next FFXIV expansion next year as soon as it goes live).

  6. Oh no, it will be my missile even if I have to break the game to do it (I mean we are a murderer, hence the the three strikes, might as well act the part XD).

Sadly that's most likely what will happen. That or he'll apologize and we'll all be friends, like none of what he said actually happened because the power of friendship and all that shit.

  7. That motherfucking AWACs is going to drive me crazy (I so hope we get to shoot him down). Outside of that god damn that player is good. Those were some damn fine moves and if that's what I can expect from gameplay I'm even more sold. So can't wait for this to come out.

  8. For a dub it's not so grating to my ears but by god that voice is not All Might, he sounds so much more awesome in Japanese (I don't mind the rest of the cast's English VA's but god that's just not All Might).

Film looks interesting even with it being the first thing made for MHA not based off of the manga. Will be interesting to see where this goes and if they'll link it to the main story (or if it'll be like most anime movies and not have anything to do with the main plot (like most of the One Piece movies)).

  9. What was more confusing was re-watching the first season when I bought the DVD's. I didn't know they corrected the order so when I was watching it I was so fucking confused because I was used the order that it aired in (and the order my fansubs were in). I was like "WTH, this isn't the first episode. Where's the Adventures of Mikuru Asahina and that corny ass theme song?". Then I went back to the DVD menu and figured it out (thankfully they did have the option to watch it in its original broadcast order).

Yeah S2 is a trip due to that reason. You're watching it expecting it to be taking place after S1 only to find out it's filling in the blanks for S1 (then again it's not the only second season of a show to do this (I'm looking at you Non Non Biyori S2 (while I adored every episode I still wanted a continuation))).

  10. Was this both seasons of Haruhi or just the first you watched? Not entirely sure what is currently up for streaming in English considering I watched both season as they aired (and I own the first season). It's a very good show if not downright confusing sometimes (especially since the original order the episodes aired in was not in order (for the first season)) and the relationship between Haruhi and Kyon is the major selling point for me (though I do love his interactions with Yuki). I still need to watch the movie (I've had in downloaded for years, just haven't had time to watch it).

  11. Recovery of an MMO Junkie (and yes the original title is literally the translation, that's what its called in Japan) is a pure gem, I watched it as it aired and instantly fell in love with it. Probably my favorite show for that season (I still haven't watched Ancient Magus's Bride or Black Clover yet (which started during that season)). It's was nice to finally have an MMO related anime title that didin't deal with being stuck in a game and focused more on the players and what went in their actual lives. Not only that Morioka is such an adorable character it's hard not to love her (plus I admire her commitment to quiting her job just to play video games, something I wish I could do (damn debt and not ever having any money >.<)). I'm with DX, definitely worth a watch if you're looking for a lighthearted show with good comedy and a good story.

  12. Not quite the same as the dub but she said some pretty intense things in the sub. I'm sure it'll be picked up for another season once the Blu-Ray's and DVD's come out (I know as soon as Funi brings it over I'll be purchasing it, gotta have the complete collection (though I should probably by the BD's of season 1 and Fumoffu (I still have the original ADV DVD releases))) because it will obviously sell extremely well. As I said I'm more worried about how long we'll have to wait because I'd really love for them to avoid any filler shit (though I wouldn't be disappointed if we got another Fumoffu like season that takes place before the events of this season, possible after TSR) just to capitalize on the popularity of IV (as I said I'm not entirely sure how much further along the LN is, from what I read on the wiki it's not really that much further along though they might be able to pull a 12 episode season out of it).

  13. Even though I don't watch this I find it funny that Broly is finally being made canon after all these years. I wonder if he's just as powerful as he was in his original appearance (and if he's still considered the Legendary Super Saiyan). I might just have to check this out (even though I know Goku will kick the crap out of him).

  14. God damn what a ride is all I have to say. Definitely my favorite season of the four we currently have (Fumoffu taking second). I love the dark tone this season set and all the major developments we got in such a short amount of time (especially for a 12 episode season, though those fucking recap episodes and that 2 week wait between episodes 10 and 11 sucked balls), plus god damn do I love the *will not say till others have seen it*. Such a beautiful piece of *again will not say till others have seen*. I have to say I really hope this gets green lit for another season but I don't think that will be for awhile. If I remember correctly the novel isn't much further past how this season ends (which I'd love to talk about but I don't want to ruin it for you all) so it might be a waiting game again (I'll have to check, my friend reads the light novel so he'll be able to tell me).

  15. I can guarantee you they won't adapt any of the TV shows, there's no way to do it without doing justice to the actual original material (not only that Sunrise is extremely protective of the Gundam franchise, they won't allow for a shitty adaptation of any of the series). This will either be a completely new, one off story (that may or may not continue past one movie) or they will adapt one of the many light novels out there set in the UC timeline (kind of like how the Thunderbolt manga was adapted into two 4 episode OVA's and one movie. Sorry DX, your hopes of me wanting to end it after a live-action G Gundam are dashed XD).

Seriously though this will probably suck. G-Savior (the fact I have to type that makes me want to kill myself) was an atrocity (and sadly one set in the same universe as the original Gundam, only way in the future) and I don't see this one being much better. The only way this movie would even have a chance of being passable would be if they got Tomino to sit on and oversee the production (which I highly doubt will happen). I really have to wonder why Hollywood wants to bastardize anime like this (Ghost in the Shell was a major atrocity and I know BAA will be too). Fuck not even Japan can do a proper live-action adaptation (exception being Blade of the Immortal and the first NANA movie), what makes them think they can.

  16. Heh, lets just say unless you're into the whole "Girls going about their daily life in the most mundane means possible" then Amanchu and Amanchu Advance might be a hard sell for you (about two girls joining a diving club and the daily goings on of the club and their lives). Sadly it doesn't have a simuldub so I can't exactly say watch it and give it a shot (it's not licensed yet and if it does get licensed it'll probably be by Right Stuf/Nozomi, look up Aria (one of my all time favorite shows) if you want to get a taste of Amanchu (though Aria currently does not have a dub, I helped back it on Kickstarter to get it produced (because I wanted BD quality, $480 well spent) so a dub will be out by fall of this year for the first season. Same manga artist so the feel of both shows is roughly the same). I wouldn't really consider NHK a slice-of-life, more like demented slice-of-hikikomori life (oh the jokes Epples and I used to come up with for the show). Citrus was good, wish they'd of gone further since the manga takes quite a few more turns from their but it was still good. I really enjoyed Haganai, more then I thought I would. Was a cute little show. My love for Chobits knows no bounds but I also started with the manga so I was a fan going into the show to begin with. Sankrea has been on my backlog since it was airing, I really need to find time to sit down and watch it. Oh and supernatural shit is like the bread and butter of Amanchu so yes it counts as slice-of-life (you'd be surprised how many SoL's have supernatural aspects to them).

Only thing I'll be watching this summer is Overlord as nothing else interested me. I'm more worried about getting my backlog watched (which is roughly 5 years of shows to watch). I'm slowly getting through it but I keep getting side tracked by re-watching older shit I own or shit I've already seen multiple times. I'll definitely start to watch My Hero next week (though it'll have to fight with me re-watching Mai-Hime/Mai-Otome, just picked it up from Right Stuf yesterday and it should be here by Friday/Saturday. I really need to quit buying anime, such an expensive hobby).

  17. Steins:Gate 0 has been a fucking trip so far and it's only getting more intense (emotionally). Honestly I have to say I'm enjoying this a lot more then I did the first season (though some of the new characters are rubbing me the wrong way (I'm looking at you Kagari)), which reminds me they had the game (first one, not 0 sadly) on sale for the Steam Summer Sale so I picked it up. Will be traversing through it on my vacation in two weeks (can't fucking wait, I hear it's more of a mind trip then the anime was).

Full Metal Panic IV has been a fucking hell of a ride so far, kinda worried considering episode 10 came out last week and I don't feel we've progressed toward a good stopping point yet (really hoping they are gearing up for another season since episode 12 will be the last one). You think things are intense now wait until episode 8 and then 10 (shit gets fucking real man, this is probably the darkest season by far for FMP (and I say this after what happened in the last 4 eps of TSR)).

Based off of what you and my co-worker say about My Hero Academia I'm really going to have to sit down and watch it now. I've been holding off because I generally hate shounen titles (too much emphasis on action with little thought to story and character development) but you two have really been selling me on it. Maybe I'll start it next week after I finish re-watching Trigun (if I don't get side tracked again, I was going to start it this week but Trigun was calling my name, haven't re-watched it in ages).

Heh, I've always considered doing something similar to this but I don't watch enough new shit for this to be relevant (fuck I only picked up four shows from this round of shows (FMP, S:G0, SAO: GGO (which I would review but if you're not a fan of the original you'll definitely not like this), and Amanchu (which is definitely not up your alley, Slice-of-Life and Cute Girls Doing Cute Things at it's finest)). Look forward to seeing more reviews from you going forward.

  18. So we're a prisoner this time? Interesting, I like where this is going. Should make the story a lot more interesting as compared to the normal Air Force/Mercenary Ace angle they keep going for.

As for the release date I suppose they're not saying anything since it can be played in VR and I suppose that's holding development up (not a good fucking excuse Bandai Namco, you've made we wait 11 years for another Strangreal Ace title and that's to fucking long. This better be out this fall or heads will roll).

  19. I'm going to be the best damn snowman builder there ever was, you heard it hear first!

Joking aside I like what I'm seeing with fortifications, definitely going to add a whole new layer to how the game is played and really reinforce teamwork when trying to take an objective now.

  20. Heh, I was going to play this over the weekend since it was free but Blizzard yet again picks one of the worst weekends for me to do this. Between the new FFXIV content patch on Tuesday (so much to fucking do x.x) and Detroit: Become Human having come out on Friday I don't have the time (which I'm fucking loving Detroit, probably the best $70 I've spent in a long time). Sucks because I really wanted to try out Brigette, I'll just have to wait until the next free weekend.
