The Airburst is such a cheap gun but I love it so much (especially on Metro and Locker). I can't wait till I unlock the SKS, shouldn't take long as long as I stay away from the 24/7 Metro server I found on Wed.

I think I missed the last double XP weekend, but save your XP boosts for those weekends because the XP stacks and you'll get that sks quick.

The only advantages you can get from monetary purchases in gw2 is more inventory/bank space, unlimited use mining/harvest tools, and xp/craft boosters. Everything else is just for vanity purposes.

While a lot of it can make life easier, it isn't so burdensome without it that your pushed to the brink to buy them. I've spent money on some of it because I enjoy the game enough to support a developer that keeps bringing free content via the living world story.

I hear that. About 1/4 to 1/2 of everyone I know right now is either sick or has a sick relative right now. There's some strong viruses going around. Get better soon.

I'm looking forward to Mercenary Kings. I thought about buying it when it came to Steam but never did (no money at the time). Will definitely be picking it up when it comes up. Sadly fantasy and old school has been taking a back seat lately in the game market. Give it a year and I'm sure more games that appeal to you will come out, its just Shooters and what not sell consoles so that's why they're generally the only titles to come out at launch.

Yea, it's Civilization in space. I never played it but the guy from Firaxis that GameSpot interviewed said its a lot like Sid Meier's Alpha Centari. Basically we get sent into space to colonize an alien planet. Plays a lot like Civ 5 from what I've seen but you get to fight Alien creatures and other human colonists (apparently there's 8 factions you get to choose from and you get to set up how your colony is seeded (what tech you bring, what people, etc.).

That sounds really good to me.

It's also awesome how you can tell it to download a game from the PS store while you're at work.

As much as I'm loving this game. The complete lack of facial expressions is killing me. Aiden and his Sister look emotionless while talking. It doesn't ruin the game for me, but I find it awkward, because the story is pretty good so far.

Using the in game engine rather than CGI cut scenes makes the game flow a lot better as well.

Cool. Are they all remastered on bluray?

Doesn't say in the press release but I'm assuming that they will. If not I'm perfectly happy with DVD quality, I just want my Gundam shows

I like the marksman variant of the Scar. The MP7 melts things like crazy, buy I like the Vector's stability.

That would explain the random Cleaner patrols I ran into while I was solo hunting rogues in the DZ today. Meh, I'd get more into it but I'm bored with it now and have no one to really run DZ with (plus I need to start getting ready for the FF patch on Tuesday).

I've heard a lot of positive things about Turn-A.

I did to (mostly from aqu) which is why I decided to buy it. The pacing leaves a little to be desired but overall this is Tomino's best work outside of Zeta. The characters are well written, the story is quite amazing (and it does a superb job of tieing all Gundam series into it's timeline), and while lacking in fights (more of a plot and character driven story) the fights that are there are intense and satisfying. Definitely a Gundam series to check out.

Let us know how it is. Not a big fan of no respawn gameplay, but it makes sense for this game. However, that being the case, it's def a game where everyone needs to be on the same page.

I remember when I installed Windows 3.1 on my DOS computer.. Windows used so many system resources i thought it was a pointless graphical operating system that had no future. months later I found out I could use an image for a background, my mind was blown.

800x600 resolution FTW!

I had to upgrade my monitor to get that resolution. My original computer had an 5 1/4 floppy drive and a 10 or 20mb hard drive. When those 1.4 mb disks came out.. it was huge.

I just watched the trailer for it. Nice. It has that telltale game feel to it. Do you get to actively rewind time or is only during certain moments?

You can do it whenever you want as far as I could tell but honestly the only time you'll really use it is if you fuck up during an event or if you decide to do one of the major choice things differently (these events will tell you there will be consequences for your actions). Honestly an interesting tool but not all that useful yet. Ep 2 releases next week so we'll see if it has more use then.

Luckily for me, the carmike theater that I have does "Stimulus Tuesday" where movies are $5 all day. Its about the only day I go see movies anymore. lol

Damn that's a steal. I only wish they did that here.

That movie does look pretty funny. I'm screwed with expensive movie theaters that are all a 30 min drive from my house. There is a new one opening next spring 10 mins from my house tho. I'll be watching more movies then.
