  1. Well yesterday was fun. Had really bad abdominal pain and ended up in the ER only to find out I had acute appendicitis and had to have surgery (all in all spent 10 hours in the ER, got home at 4:30 this morning). Now I'm in pain and out of work for at least a week. At least I get Vicadin as my pain killer (whenever my mother pucks the prescription up, I can't drive for the next week so yea).

Guess it's time to get caught up on my anime and game backlogs.

I'm a back sleeper. I use to be a side sleeper, but my shoulders aren't in the best condition anymore from slinging heavy objects, downstacking stock. I find that my arms will go to sleep and I'll wake up with them completely numb sometimes, and the arm that's not being slept upon just can't find a comfortable resting position. I'll sleep on my back, or in a slightly tilted side position where I'm not resting on one shoulder. My pillows are pretty old and I should invest in new ones. I sleep with two, and they are pretty flattened out... which is probably why I can't side sleep anymore.

I was using an extra firm pillow until a few nights ago. I swapped over to a soft with another soft pillow at a slight angle behind it for a little support and my neck has been feeling a bit better over the last couple days. The nerve issues in my arms have screwed me for years so I always sleep with a thin long sleeve shirt on with arm braces to keep my arms from curling and or going numb while I sleep. These ones specifically:

      https://www.amazon.com/ALEX-Toys-Elbow-Universal-Immobilizer/dp/B004QJK8US/ref=pd_bxgy_121_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=KV976FVE9XD80TX2G89K

They work good and after months my arms stopped going numb in the middle of the night. Its a bit awkward to sleep with my arms at a 30 degree angle or so all night but its worth it not to wake up with arm pain. x_x

I do like sleeping with a pillow in between my knees too. It seems to help keep my posture good while I side sleep and it adds a bit more comfort.

Heh, I sleep with a pillow between my legs/knees as well. It's really good for managing back pain if you suffer from it as it keeps your spine straighter (and it's actually a lot more comfortable too, my knees used to hurt in the morning when I didn't use one. Now they don't). Sadly my back has been killing me over the last few days since I can't sleep like I normally do (this inclined sleeping fucking sucks. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able so sleep normally again (pain is mostly gone so lying on my left side shouldn't be a problem, right side will still be an issue for awhile)).

  2. Finally got caught up on my backlog of Marvel movies over the last two weeks (well the backlog of ones I wanted to watch, the only one's I haven't seen are Thor 2, Homecoming (which I will watch eventually), Ant Man (no real interest in seeing it) and I've only seen half of the first Captain America). Will say things make a lot more sense now in the big picture after getting them watched, thoughts below:

Winter Soldier: As much as I hat Cap I really enjoyed this movie and when my friend said shit hit the fan he wasn't kidding. I finally understand why Shield wasn't around in Avengers 2 (I really had no idea what was going on since I never watched the TV show and I really had no interest in watching Winter Soldier until recently) so a lot of my questions about certain things were finally answered. Really like how it played out more like a spy/action flick then a superhero flick, definitely one of my favorites in the the Marvel verse behind GoG 1 & 2 and Civil War.

Civil War: Good god I really enjoyed this movie though I do feel like the whole movie focused more on Cap and Stark's underlying past issues (and personal issues) then it did on the real issues at hand (it really felt more like a Cap obsessing over Bucky and Stark reliving his daddy issues more then a flick about a superhuman civil war). Have to say I'm completely pumped to see the Black Panther flick, after seeing him in Civil War I'm sold on him (great actor choice and the character alone is really interesting). I have a ton of questions and theories now about how Infinity War is going to play out (can anyone say Nomad).

Doctor Strange: I honestly didn't know about this one and based on the reviews I had seen about it I wasn't even sure if I'd like it. Glad to say I'm wrong. Though I really don't like Strange (his attitude rubs me the wrong way) I really enjoyed the movie (fucking trippy as hell). Considering I knew nothing of this character I thought it was a really good origin story for the character (yes I know the actual origin story but for the MCU this is actually a great introduction). I have some issues with the movie (like a lot of people) but I'm interested to see what his role is in the MCU going forward (especially considering the Infinity War movies are going to reset the MCU (or at least kill off quite a few heroes)).

Guardians 2: Watched this last night and I absolutely loved it, tied for favorite Marvel movie with Guardians 1. Brought back all of the charm and humor from the first one and backed it up with a pretty serious story. Was great to see how the interactions between all the characters have evolved from the first one and yes Baby Groot was fucking adorable (the beginning of the movie was freaking cute with him dancing, yes I said cute (get over it)). Overall the movie was a fun ride and the ending, while sad, was a great way to send off such a great character (even if he was an ass).

So yea, gotta say the Marvel movies are really impressing me considering my general distaste for superheroes (I'm sorry my heroes as a kid were the Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and G.I. Joe. Superheroes never realy interested me, men in tight spandex beating up other men in similar costumes just seemed wrong). As I said above I'm really looking forward to the Black Panther movie and after finally watching Civil War I'm really looking forward to seeing how things play out in the Infinity War movies.

Winter Soldier was great, but Captain America was ruined for me in Civil War. I think he was a complete dick for the things he did and I was rooting for Iron Man to kill him and Bucky. XD I'll always consider Winter Soldier as the true sequel to the first Avengers movie and Avengers 2 as a sequel to winter soldier.

      Guardians 2 was amazing. :D

As for the movies you haven't seen yet. Thor 2 was a solid stand alone movie and I recommend watching it because there will probably be references to it in the infinity war movie. Ant Man can be skipped. It was a fun movie and I'd watch it again but its not something critical to the franchise. The first captain america movie is just an origin story. It was a good movie, but it already feels dated to me. I haven't seen homecoming yet but I heard its decent.

  3. Whether you were a big fan or not today is a tragic loss for the music world. Chester Bennington, lead singer and front man for Linkin Park, was found dead today at 41.

I was a huge LP fan when I was younger (though I sort of lost touch with them over the years, their music past Meteora was so so) so this hits pretty hard for me. Their music, his music, helped me through a lot.

RIP Chester, though you're gone your music and message will always remain.

Never was a fan, but I remember how big they were when i was in high school. Still sad to hear.

  4. So because I was bored and I'm getting kinda burned out on FFXIV (yea, week off to play it probably wasn't the best idea) I decided to play some BF1 last night. Have to say I really like a lot of the new changes they put forth since the last time I played (which was shortly after ribbons were introduced). The best feature by far is the new battlepack reward system and I won't go into specifics since I'm sure most of you have seen videos on it. Suffice to say after one match last night I almost had a battlepack (did get one after my second and almost halfway to another one). Nice to see they implemented a system that rewards team play as well as high placement on the scoreboard (about fucking time) for getting battlepacks instead of the RNG based system they had.

Also have to say Frontlines is fucking amazing. IMO it's what Operations should of been instead of the crap they gave us. Being a mix of Conquest and Rush (at the end if you get that far) it's pretty fucking fun and the battles get extremely intense at flag points. If Frontlines would of been introduced from the get go I'd of probably continued playing this (hell I most likely will start playing more now, it was kind refreshing to play an FPS again (even if it's one that pissed me off when if first came out)).

I got on bf1 and played operations with my older bro for 2 hours or so. This game is much better than it was when i last played. Planes are still OP tho. The game has been out for quite a while now and there's still bugs. I hit the share button to save a clip of my tank killing spree and when i left that menu I got an end of match screen instead of the spawn menu. -_-; it would not let me get back into the game unless I went back to the main menu and rejoin my brother. I sat in queue for 10 mins. Also the end of round screen still loads a black page half the time instead of giving me info about the match and how much progress i made to the next battle pack. Those no longer being rng is much better. Btw I watched this video and it made a big difference for me:

My setting was at 100%. Once i set it to zero it felt like a night and day difference.

  5. So the Stormblood Early Access is fucking broke and everyone in NA trying to play the story is locked behind a mission no one can do due to SE dropping the fucking ball because of server congestion (or that's what they're saying, I've been waiting since 7 am to finish the god damn quest. Finally gave up since I can't get into the instance to do it). GG SE, I'm pretty sure if you get it fixed it's just going to break on Tuesday when SB officially launches. I forsee many angry customers and a lot of rage quitters. On a side not Samurai is fucking amazing and I think, once the story is finished on my Ninja, I'm switching jobs again. The amount of dps and damage this job can put out at 50 is enormous so I'm expecting great things from it at 70.

On a much better note I finally got around to trying out Black Desert Online tonight. Gotta say besides being a freaking beautiful game it's actually pretty fun and addicting. Really like how the combat plays out with all of its combos. Definitely worth the $10 entry fee (that is if you're computer can run it, I'm running on high settings and not having any real issues). I think I found my new game to fuck around in when I run out of things to do in FFXIV (if I ever do x.x).

I don't know how you do it with our arm rests. But I don't use the computer for more than 10-15 minutes a day in what I do. I spend my off days and off time in front of a PC. 2600 hours of Guild Wars 2, I couldn't imagine not resting my elbows on arm rests to support my arm up to the mouse and keyboard. I have a tray too. But I also have a $300 comfort PC chair that I can recline in and still reach the mouse and keyboard. The chair is everything. In 19 years I've gone through 2. I'm about to have to buy another one because this one wasn't as good as my last and its falling apart. But buying a chair every 7-8 years, I rather spend the money. There is nothing like sitting in a cheap shitty chair for a few hours, no matter what you're doing... its pure hell.

    4. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I have a fancy computer chair I spent almost $200 on that literally just sits in my room and has a bunch of blankets and hoodies sitting on it. I haven't used it in over 5 months. I'll swap over to that chair on occasion but not so much for work since it has arm rests. My main chair now is a padded chair from an old dining room set that can recline if I lean back. It does have arm rests, but I have a pillow on the chair that props me up enough that my arms don't touch them and the back is low enough, that along with the pillow, it gives me lumbar support. You'd probably think I was crazy to sit in a chair like this for 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week, but it's been working out pretty good for me. As for having no arm rests.. I like to think of it like standing all day. While standing your arms are hanging to your sides, no shoulder pain, neck cramps, etc. While sitting, keep the arms hanging down naturally, have the keyboard and mouse at that elbow height and have them on a large keyboard tray (with memory foam wrist support) to extend out to reach you. As long as you're not reaching out to the keyboard and mouse (not even an inch), there is no pressure on the shoulders and thus no discomfort. Back when I used arm rests, my hands would be about 6 inches from my stomach and my arms were slightly outstretched before me. Since I fixed my sitting posture over a year ago, my hands are about 1 1/2 - 2 inches from my stomach and my arms are lined up with my back. The back of my arms are almost always touching the back of my chair while I type all day. I went through keyboards faster than you went through chairs. XD I'd destroy almost every keyboard within 2 years. Aside from a chair, this mechanical keyboard I got has already lasted a year, shows no sign of wear and its so much more gentler on my fingers and wrists. I recommend a good keyboard as much as a good chair.

  6. So the new computer finally arrived and boy is it beautiful (and bigger then I thought, thing is huge). I'm now not looking forward to installing everything I need on it to get it up to snuff like my laptop is (so much to do). Sadly I won't be playing FFXIV tonight because it's going to take 3+ hours to download and install all the updates (not to mention Heavensward which I opted to dl instead of digging my disk out of the closet).

I'll take pictures of it tomorrow and post them, to tired to do it right now as I spent the last two hours digging it out of the box and setting it up.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Congrats! :D I don't know about FFXIV folder structure but I was able to copy over my guild wars 2 install directory from one hard drive to another using a USB 3 flash drive and got the game up and running in minutes instead of downloading for over 2 hours. If you have windows 10 one that make sure you set it to get that creators update to install before the newest graphics drivers. I heard a few ppl had issues installing the latest nvidia drivers on win 10 that didn't have that update done yet.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Eh, I didn't think of copying the files over (not like I don't have enough external storage to do so). A fresh install is for the best though as FFXIV had some issues on my laptop and I'm afraid they might of transferred with (plus I'm less than a week from early access for Stormblood so a fresh install is probably for the best). Plus the folder structure is a nightmare (the main game is under Program files but everything else is under a folder in My Documents (fucking weird if you ask me, WoW had a similar set up to GW2 so I'm used to that).

I'll have to look into the creators update since I was forced into Windows 10 (I got the Professional version and I actually like it more than the Home version, I'm still going to have to customize it more to my liking either tomorrow or Sunday because some of these UI elements bug the hell out of me), haven't really had time to update Win 10 or the graphics drivers yet.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Win 10 has a tendency of forcing updates on you so expect them to happen anytime. 😑 you can set windows update active hours so you won't get random update notifications or reset prompts during hours you would be gaming. Also make sure to check your privacy settings and turning off all pointless background apps. Click on the little cortana circle in the task bar (Or the search icon if you have stock win 10 prior to even the anniversary update) and type the word setting or privacy. It'll give you all the system settings in the results so you don't have to search thru the control panel for an hour.

  7. Finished watching Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) last night and what a fucking trip it was. Enjoyed every minute of it which is odd for me with newer anime. For a show that uses a villain for a main character (yes this is not you're typical good guy anime show) it certainly took some risks that I thought paid off (from using a Nazi Germany like country in the Empire (this is set in a world similar to ours during the WWI era) and a sadistic 11-year old girls a the protagonist (the villain)).

Gotta say I highly recommend giving it a watch if you can (currently only up on Crunchyroll, I know Funi has the rights so it may eventually see a State side release). Can't wait for the second season.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The last school anime I enjoyed beside Hagani, was Netoge no Yome wa Onna no Ko Janai to Omotta? (And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online?). Because it wallowed in MMO/Online gaming tropes (girl gamers, RMT, P2W, etc) which I found extremely enjoyable. It also had my mouse in anime form XD. Its a gaming anime, that's actually about the characters playing an MMO without being stuck inside of it. It's four people that play in a party often, and they end up finding out they all go to the same school, and actually know each other... being in different social echelons, they normally wouldn't hang out with each other, so they form an after school club to play on campus. Its pretty light-hearted, but has some great moments.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I've been meaning to check that one out just haven't had the time as of late (then again I am tearing through the Crunchyroll directory at the speed of light).

  8. So I was bored yesterday and played some of the Overwatch free weekend (sadly I won't have anymore time to play it). Quite honestly I'm actually considering buying it now because Quickplay was not as bad as it was last time. It seems either people have learned to play the game. Really like a lot of the changes the game has gone through since the last time I played (really happy to see you can only have one of each hero on a team now, such a fucking lovely change). I actually think I could stomach the grind to 25 to play comp now (if I could find the time to play it, I'm working on my Bard's Anima Weapon in FFXIV and I've got less than a month till early access for the expac launches (and I still have to beat ME:A and Horizon)).

I've also pretty much proved that I'm going to be stuck playing healers as I have lost all skill at playing anything but them. Went on a tear with Lucio last night, getting play of the game for knocking two people off the map on Ilios and getting three more kills on top of it. I have to say if I didn't love Mercy as much as I do I'd have to say Lucio is my favorite hero (also got a Legendary skin for him, not to hip on it as its the blue hockey one but still it was a nice gain from a lootbox). I also wall skated my way out of dying in the center well on the first part of Ilios, was pretty fucking epic (considering I didn't think it could be done).

I also have to point out that I really like Orisa. I never actually played as her but she was a major reason as to why my group won on Defense for Volskaya in the first part of the map (that place down shield is powerful with the right set up). She's a very nice addition to the hero lineup. Also have to say I fucking hate Sombra, in the right hands she's a fucking nightmare.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Nah, everyone was too green to even know the "Pharmercy" combo or they just weren't using it. Honestly I barely ran into anyone on the opposing team playing Phara (maybe two and they sucked, I easily killed them as Lucio). Out of 10 matches I only lost one because my team wouldn't play worth the shit and kept letting me die (I was playing Mercy and no one would protect me. I kept getting flanked by Genjis, Sombras, and Tracers). I was honestly surprised by how well we were doing, I'm not wondering if some of the players I was with were high levels playing on a different profile (some of them were too good to have just picked up the game). All in all I had a great time. Wished the game was like this when it launched as I might of actually bought it once I got a job (still might but that lack of free time is what will kill me. Well that and short on funds since the computer purchase (which I still haven't gotten, that's for a rant on another day)).

No wonder Lucio felt like a god last night. I didn't know they buffed his gun damage. I got a 15 player killer streak with him and was wondering if it was a fluke (honestly didn't feel like I should of done that well). I was murdering fools left and right (and I went one on one with a Junkrat in a small room and won, I'm going to blame it on lack of skill because he should of killed me multiple times). Funny you should say that about Orisa because I was eating Reinhardt's for lunch last night. Did he get nerfed because he seems to be a lot more squishy then I remember him being (I was chewing through him with Lucio and actually killed one three times with melee attacks (that had more to do with his skill then him being weak))? Like I said I never played Orisa but the teammate who was playing as her must of knew how to play her well because they did amazing, only dying once because I was brought down by a Reaper flank. I forgot to mention that the Play of the Game I got with Lucio shutdown a Hanzo and a McCree before they got off their supers (was hilarious to hear Hanzo start his chant to all of a sudden hearing him die), thought that was worth mentioning since I've never did that before.

Meh, I've heard that about comp. I've also heard it's become a cesspool as well, much like LoL/DOTA/Smite when it comes to party chat. It's probably a good thing no one talks on PS4 (previous comment was made based on the Xbox Community). Honestly I'd probably just end up doing what you do but that's mostly due to lack of free time. I'm used to people not talking in competitive games, R6S rarely has anyone talk during a match. While frustrating it doesn't bother me since I always play objectively to begin with so as long as I'm pulling my weight I don't care how the match ends (though I will admit to fits of rage in R6S when people don't play correctly or fucking ignore me when I'm calling out enemy locations or for help).

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Yeah Lucio's gun was buffed in damage and the speed of the orbs was increased by 30%. Rein hasn't been nerfed... Lucio is just that good on offense now. Thats why I hate playing Mercy unless I'm with friends. No one protects you, but they expect heals in the middle of a clusterfuck... something only Lucio/Ana and to a lesser extent Zen can do. Thats also why I don't like playing Rein... once again no one protects you... because no one stays behind your shield. -_-; Reapers and Tracers just slaughter me, or make me turn around only to get Hanzo'ed. :x But yeah, Lucio can just get around those shielded characters and pressure hard.... if you're Rein or Orisa and you try to come in without waiting on your team, I'm going to kill you. I've gotten as high as 25 kills and earned gold medals across the board with him.

I love playing Zen too, but I rarely get to do it because people will switch off Mercy or Lucio thinking you're a primary healer. -_-; Zen is a long stronger than the last time you played him too. He recovered from his L2 super fast now, and his L2 can crossmap snipe. Ana and Roadhog are the only ones that really have had hard nerfs since last free weekend. Genji, Torb, Junkrat, Winston, Mercy, Lucio, and Reaper were all buffed in certain ways since last time. Reaper auto reloads out of wrath form now, its really nice.

    3. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

      A lot*

D.Va was nerfed too, but I think her buff and nerf took place between the last free weekend, so she probably just feels the same to anyone that's only played in those times.

  9. Well I just ordered myself a new Gaming Computer today. Don't know if its a good thing or not yet considering how much money I just dropped ($2100) but with my laptop having GPU issues I figured it was time to bite the bullet. Went through CyberpowerPC as everything I hear about them and their PC's are great (a streamer I follow uses them as well) and I don't have the time to build my own at the moment (god damn 50+ hour work weeks).

Here's to hoping the thing is worth the money (should be, I picked a mid-specced pre-built and changed a few things around (GPU (changed from a stock GTX 1070 to an EVGA GTX 1070), Cooling, OS Drive (changed to a 500 Gig SSD), and Storage Drive (added a 2 TB HDD) were the only real things I changed. And yes I researched everything before I chose them).

    1. DeathscytheX
    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

It'll have LED lights, whether I use them or not will be another thing (I'm not into the lighted case thing, my Alienware lights up but it's just a gimmick). The monitor I chose is an older ASUS model, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174&cm_re=VS247H-P-_-24-236-174-_-Product

It's gotten pretty favorable reviews and I went pretty cheap (it was on sale through CyberPower) since the tower ended up being a little more expensive then I wanted it to be (not much more but god damn SSD's are still expensive as hell). I plan on going with a two monitor set-up when I get a bigger desk (current desk is only big enough for the tower and monitor sadly) so I'll be shelling out quite a bit more money when I get my second one (this one will end up being the secondary monitor and making the new one my primary monitor).

Sadly I have to call them on Monday because it seems there was a problem processing the order (not sure what but I'm gathering its a verification for fraud prevention). Hopefully it won't delay it by too much, I need this thing before the 20th of June for Stormblood (yea, my life is pretty much run by work and FFXIV).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its good that it's VESA mountable since you're planning on a 2 monitor setup (vesa mounting capability does make them more expensive from what I've seen). I have 2 monitors right now, one for gaming and the other for work and neither can mount so I'm literally shuffling one monitor in front of the other depending on what I'm doing. Its a bit annoying but I'm used to it. Both monitors can sit side by side too if I wanted since my desk is big enough for it. For your main monitor I recommend getting an IPS one. Huge difference for gaming IMO. I won't go back to a regular monitor again now that I've gotten used to gaming on one. SSDs should definitely be cheaper by now. I'd love to upgrade my main pc with one but I'm a bit tight on funds now.

If you have any questions on using geforce experience software let me know. I've gotten the hang of it over the last year with taking videos and enhanced screenshots with it. With your new setup you can easily take video of all your games and upload them to youtube like I've been doing with Guild Wars 2:

      https://www.youtube.com/user/Sledgstone/videos

I setup my geforce software to be just like my PS4, I hit alt-f10 and it'll save the last 15 minutes of any game I'm playing. And windows live movie maker software works just like ps4's Sharefactory.

  10. Finished Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans Season 2 last night. Gotta say it wasn't as good as the first season and it was kind of a let down story wise but the battles were freaking amazing (I am in love with Barbatos, that fucking machine is amazing). I think the title of "Kill them all" has finally been taken from Tomino, good god Nagai was kill happy (I honestly didn't think anyone was going to survive to see the end (yea, kind of a spoiler but not really as I didn't say who dies)). All in all a solid 7/10, definitely worth a watch if you looking for an action oriented show (not the best Gundam to come out but it definitely ranks up there as a damn good addition to the franchise as a whole).

Also started watching Grimgar tonight since DX had mentioned what he thought of it it awhile ago (and it's up on Crunchy so I don't have to watch those fansubs I got a hold of). Only 4 episodes in and I have to say that was one hell of a gut punch, not because of his death but because of the way the others took it. Fucking hit me right in the feels. I do have to say that I was right, it feels like a cross between Log Horizon (being sucked into another world) and SAO (death being permanent) without the whole being a game aspect (since it seems it's never actually confirmed/denied). Overall I'm enjoying it so far, looking forward to what the next 8 episodes have to offer.

    1. Strider Hiryu

Finished Grimgar tonight and I really enjoyed the ride. Great characters, good story, awesome soundtrack, and so many damn feels (god damn Mary's backstory is freaking tragic). I'd really like to see a 2nd season of this as I know there's more to the story (so much more from what I've gathered but I won't ruin it for everyone), so please give me one. Solid 9/10 for me and I can't recommend it enough (I think I liked this better then Seasons 1, 3 and 4 of SAO and both seasons of Log Horizon (I might be stretching a bit there, Log Horizon is a damn good show in its own right)). I just noticed last night that Funimation is releasing this in May on DVD/BD so I think I'll have to pick up the BD when it releases (definitely plan on re-watching this one, nice relaxing show that really hits you in the feels when you don't expect it).

I didn't even know there were more than 2 seasons of SAO. XD

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Considering the new thing now-a-days is to consider 13 episode a season I consider SAO to be be 4 13 episode seasons (split into their respective arcs of course) but technically it's two seasons. Should of probably said Arcs 1, 3, and 4 (10 hour work days turns my brain into jelly).

  11. Finally ended up breaking down and paying for a Crunchyroll membership on Sunday (cancelled my TOR subscription since I've done everything the game has to offer for now) since it seems the hay day of fansubs is dead (and I was dying to watch IBO season 2 and now I can finally get caught up on Sailor Moon Crystal (god that just sounds wrong)). Gotta say, and believe me it hurts to say this, they've really come a long way since I last used them back when they were doing this illegally. Great quality, passable subs (need a little more work on localization but they're better then they used to be), and I get to watch everything on my TV instead of my computer (major bonus for me).

My only gripe is I wish they had more to offer. Their selection is rather small for having a partnership with Funi (then again I've seen pretty much everything I want to see that Funi has to offer). Meh, hopefully they'll continue to grow and get more stuff (and hopefully older stuff, a lot of the newer shows these days suck).

ROTFLMAO I forgot about the 4Kids Smoker, he always looked so weird with his mouth gaped. XDXD It was a big difference. I watched up to a little past chopper and it was a lot different. Whats funny to me is that Colleen Clinkenbeard does Luffy for Funi. She actually sounds pretty much the same as Bella Hudson who did it for 4kids. Its funny because Clinkenbeard pretty much uses the same sexy Erza Scarlet voice for every role she does, so Luffy was out of left field. XD She said she can only do about 4 hours of recording a day in that voice though. They probably should have just went with a different voice altogether. Like how the DBZ Ocean dub and Funi dub have different Vegeta voices.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea it was the 4Kids dub but like I said I pretty much know what happens in every arc up to Marineford from reading the Wiki and from my obsessed friend (plus I have seen some of the stuff subbed). I already planned on watching it from the beginning because I know just how horrible 4Kids was at stripping everything they thought was offensive from the shows they released. Honestly even if I had seen the Funi dub I'd probably restart anyways since its been a long time since I've seen any of One Piece (plus, as you all know, I prefer watching anime subbed because I can't stand the English VA's).

    4. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I agree with subs for One Piece. I've gotten used to watching anime dubbed all the time now, But even with Funi's dub I couldn't get into it. 4kids did make me a One Piece fan, its a shame so many people's introduction to the series had to be so half assed and censored tho.

  12. Been screwing around in the Ghost Recon beta these last few days. Gotta say the game is fun but you can definitely tell it was made to be played with friends. Don't get me wrong the A.I. squad mates are better then what you would get in other games (almost as good as the A.I. squad mates from Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (which this game has some similar mechanics to)) but a lot of the missions seem to be built with the idea of going in with 3 other players due to enemy patrol routes and placements. Beyond that gun play is pretty solid (a little wonky at times but this is a beta), combat is quick and sometimes relentless (I made a minor mistake approaching a base in the new area for the beta and damn near paid for it with my life (fucking enemies called in 2 choppers, still trying to figure out how I survived it)), and the story is pretty good for a Tom Clancy game (not generally into Tom Clancy stuff but this game and the Rainbow Six games have always had relatively good stories to go along with good game play).

Honestly if it wasn't coming out a week after Horizon and two weeks before Andromeda I'd probably buy it but no, Ubisoft had to pick the worst time to release it. If you get a chance this weekend try it out, the beta runs until Monday and it's definitely worth a quick play through (even if you don't get through the entire first area you'll get a good feel for the game play and what the story is about in the first few missions).

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Some of my friends said they are getting this game. I haven't tried the beta even though I've downloaded it. The Division left a bad taste in my mouth to trust Ubi again for a while. And like you said, there is a shit ton of amazing single player games coming out over the next few weeks.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Meh, while The Division was a huge let down (I mean come on, we got a barely complete game with little to no replay value beyond gear grinding (uh oh, I think Ubi took a page out of Bungie's book with that one)) I generally still have trust and faith in Ubisoft (I mean I play Rainbow Six and I'm still looking at getting For Honor). I mean they released by far one of the best games I've played in years and actually got me to cry when it ended (Valiant Hearts, I cannot stress enough how great this game is), EA and Activision have yet to do that in a long time (yea I know EA has ME and TOR but I still consider Bioware to be it's own entity and you can't convince me otherwise (because if you do you will destroy my little world of delusions that I live in)).

Honestly I can see Wildlands delivering on what The Division failed to do. Just looking at the map alone there will way more content at release for Wildlands than there was for The Division (which is sad because The Division probably has the better of the two stories here, sadly it doesn't seem Ubi has any intention of giving us any more story in The Division (as far as I know there has been no continuation from where the final story mission left off)). Plus, the way the story is set up, you have 5 Lieutenants per Under Boss (that each run their own area of the map) making a total of 24 enemies you need to take out before taking out El Sueno (the big boss). That right there is already more content then The Division has gotten since release (and this will all be at release). I digress though. Like I said if this game had a better release window I'd most likely buy it (I should add if I had friends buying it as well, while I'm sure at least a few of the people on my friends list will get it I rarely play with them so it wouldn't be worth it to buy this game (most of those friends are ones I met through Siege)) but Horizon is going to take me at least until Andromeda releases to beat (40-50 hours of game play on my limited free time I'll be lucky if I finish by then) and if Andromeda is anything like it's predecessors then I'm looking at over 70 hours of game play there (most likely more since I'll need to do everything and see everything possible before I'm content) so I'll have no time to squeeze this in (not to mention FFXIV as well, that's at least 15-20 hours of my week alone).

While I'm happy we're getting all these options for great games (probably the first time in quite a few years that I have more then 2 games I want to buy) I really wish these companies would time their release windows better, makes it really hard to choose which games to buy when they release them all at the same damn time (not to mention hard on my wallet).

  13. Red Mage and now Samurai are confirmed as the two jobs for the upcoming FFXIV expansion Stormblood. I am completely hyped about this now and Samurai is going to be a DPS this time around (Sam was a tank in FFXI), god I can't wait. Finally a job I've been wanting since the game released (besides Ninja which I already play as). The only bad thing is I'm torn about which one I want to level first.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

XD So now you have to work on a whole new set of fancy weapons?

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

XD Only if I hate myself and wish for no free time what so ever (I mean if I really wanted to I could work on the Anima weapons for my Scholar, Summoner, Dragoon (which I might, I mean I have a little over 4 months before Stormblood releases and that lance is sexy as hell), Monk, Bard, Machinist, and White Mage but I don't feel like selling the rest of my soul to FFXIV atm (and sadly that's not all the jobs in game atm those are just the ones I have at 60 (I'm missing Paladin, Warrior, Dark Knight, and Astrologian)).

Chances are pretty high I'll end up continuing to main Ninja so I'll only have to worry about one weapon but with the changes they're making to the relic system in Stormblood I might not even attempt to get one (they're linking it with an new optional area called Eureka The Forbidden Land (FFV anyone?) and if it's like they're talking I'll probably skip the relic this time around, I'm not hip on their exploratory areas and it sounds like they're going to make this one even more difficult to get). However if Samurai is everything I want it to be I might switch mains over and get myself a super sexy Katana relic or if it's not and Red Mage is better then I guess I'll be getting a sexy as hell Rapier. God I hate it when I get two things I really want and don't know which one to choose first x.x I almost wish they'd of released a job I have no interest in so I could focus on the other one. Damn you SE *shakes fist*

  14. So after playing TOR since it's release I've finally finished all the class stories this morning earning my Legendary Player status. I have to say TOR is an exceptional game with some of the best storytelling I've seen in an MMO to date (FFXIV takes second sadly, while the story is amazing it's just not personal enough like the TOR class stories are).

Have to say my favorite Class Stories were Sith Inquisitor (even if it was a little predictable at times), Imperial Agent (I haven't played the Light Side version but the Dark Side one was pretty damn fun), and surprisingly Jedi Consular (which I beat this morning. While a little boring the twists and turns the story takes after Chapter 1 were fun). The other stories were just a little to bland for my tastes (Sith Warrior was okay but revenge stories just aren't all that great any more. Jedi Knight wasn't all that amazing but the final story mission was pretty cool. The rest I really don't have much to say about (though Smuggler was good for a few laughs)).

Gotta say for their first time doing an MMO Bioware did a great job, even if the game has gone through more rocky points then most MMO's. The Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne expansions were amazing, well done, and outside of the class stories had some of the best story writing I've seen in awhile (this goes for single player games as well). Can't wait to see what Bioware has in store for TOR in the future but I'm happy to say I can finally put this game on the back burner until it happens.

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Meh, I didn't really get another chance to put much time into the beta again after my initial time (I did play a few rounds of Dominion again but it was Player vs. A.I. so not much to add). I did unlock Orochi and try her out, she's not bad but definitely not my play style. She's too squishy and I just don't like her play style. Not to mention she's so much weaker then the Warden it's not funny (her attacks don't do as much damage but she makes up for it in other ways). I will say I mastered the play style of the Warden though and am a force to be reckoned with when I play her (at least for the A.I., never did get a chance to play against other players), went on a 10 player kill streak in the last match I played (again A.I. players).

Overall with the little time I put into it I'm certainly intrigued by it. I might drop the money on it when it releases on the 14th as it's enjoyable enough but with Horizon coming out next month as well I'll have to see how funds are doing (all this overtime is helping but I'm, once again, trying to save up for a new computer). If you get a chance once it releases I'd say give it a shot if you got the chance, see if you like it (I don't mean go out and buy it of course but if a friend gets it try it out). As I said the combat isn't exactly easy to master but once you start to get the hang of it it's extremely enjoyable. All in all if I'd say this is a solid 7/10 just based on the beta alone.

    4. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

With the way alot of recent games have dropped in price within the first 2-3 weeks of release I recommend holding off initially. I'll watch some streams of it when it comes out, or at least a couple youtube videos of the campaign to see if its got a decent plot to go with the great combat mechanics. So many games seem to have great promise over the last couple years but then fall flat with plot or progression. :crap:

  16. Two years after I bought it I finally started watching Tekkaman Blade. 16 episodes in and by god am I loving every minute of it (even if it is a bit campy). Great soundtrack, ok characters (hey not all anime has great characters), and a plot that's actually pretty good (if not recycled from other similar shows from the time).

Also makes me miss the old days when anime was hand animated and we didn't have all this CG shit mixed in. Sure the art wasn't always great but damn the shows were still good. Also makes me miss when anime actually had good plot and stories, not this same recycled bullshit we get every year.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

It wasn't always great, but when it was, it was amazing. If something is CG'ish I can bear with it sometimes... what I hate is the hybrid animation/CG. Its very off putting. I've seen a few mecha series where only the mechas were CG and everything else was animated. It just doesn't fit.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Yea, for some reason it just never seems to work out in mech anime (which seems to use it more than any other genre now-a-days). The mechs either look extremely fake or complete crap (which sucks because a lot of mechs look great in CG). Sadly there has been such a huge push toward hybrid CG/Traditional animation lately that it's been ruining most of the new shows coming out now (hell this has been the first year where I'm not actively watching anything currently airing in Japan since I was first introduced to fansubs (2004, so the first time in 13 years) because almost all the shows are either crappy rehashes of the same plots or hybrid shows with shitty CG).

This is one reason I'm happy companies like Right Stuf (through their Nozomi Entertainment branch) and Discotek have been acquiring the rights to and releasing old school anime over here. So many good shows get overlooked by the bigger companies like Funi that it's sad (mostly due to dated animation and fear of not having a market over here (something Right Stuf has proven to be wrong in the last few years with releases like Dirty Pair and finally bringing all of Gundam over in it's entirety)). Now if only we could get a company to bring over the whole Macross catalog, I'd be one happy anime fan if that happened (ADV and Manga Ent. started to but never got past the original Macross, Macross Plus, and Macross II (which has absolutely nothing to do with the main Macross story). Getting a stateside release of Macross 7 would be amazing).

    3. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Just finished Tekkaman Blade, gotta say this ranks up there as one of my all time favorites now. While quite a few portions of the show could of been cut (a lot of filler in this show that could of been recapped in like 4 episodes and they could of ditched the 2 recap eps) the last few episodes were epic. Definitely glad I bought this two years ago on a whim (I've seen Tekkaman Blade II (which, while entertaining, ruins so much of what the first series did and accomplished it's sad) which piqued my interest in seeing the original) when it was on sale at RightStuf. I definitely recommend seeing it if you get a chance to.

  17. Fuck you 2016, just fuck you. You just had to take another one with you and it had to be Princess Leia. RIP Carrie, you will be sorely missed.

  18. Winter has finally attacked ND in full force. In just one day we've had 10 inches of snow and we're do for at least another 4-6 in my area alone before the end of Wednesday. It's lulled now but to be on the safe side I called into work today (thank god I have some vacation time to cover it) because driving home yesterday (I had to leave early because I did not want to drive in that shit at night) was a nightmare. Hopefully the DOT gets into full force today and gets the roads cleared and sanded so I can get to work tomorrow since this Charger hates ice and snow (my god the ass end of my car was sliding every which way yesterday no matter how slow I was going).

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Mostly sand, they run a liquid ice melter (they use the dry shut too from time to time) as well but for the most part they sand the roads out here. I'm starting to wish I had snow tires but I just need to get used to how this car handles, my Buick used to do the same shut till I learned how to handle it in winter (got to spoiled by Arizona winters for those 3 years I was down there).

  19. Can this year be over with now? It's one gut punch after another. Ron Glass has passed away. Most may not know him unless they've seen his earlier work in Barney Miller, Sanford and Son, etc but I'll always remember him as Shepard Book from Firefly/Serenity and Garth from Fable 2. While I may not be a religious person his portrayal of Shepard Book always resonated with me. So long good Shepard, you will be sorely missed by the legions of Browncoats out there.

  20. So I found my new favorite Medic weapon in BF1, the Cei-Rigotti Factory. I didn't notice until last night but it has a full-auto feature like the Sweeper and it's more accurate then the Sweeper. The 10 round mags kind of kills its killing potential but at least 80% of your shots will hit unlike the Sweeper. I'm also ashamed to say I was enjoying using the Model 10 Factory last night, I went on some killing sprees that surprised the hell out of me. I still say it needs a nerf but I understand why people like using it and it's Hunter loadout now, the gun is a beast.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I took it for a spin again the other night and I just love the sweeper too much to give it up. I stick to trenches, tunnels, and flanks. If I fight long range I'm using the Martini. XD

It will be interesting to see what DLC brings to the medic class though. The French guns are missing from the game that I suppose will be added with their map pack. The RSC Model 1917 and Meunier A6 should both make it into the game. Since they have the Mondragon in the game which is a Mexican rifle, I'll be interested to see if they add the Chineses Liu. There is also a Madsen rifle that is top loaded like the LMG.

But the only thing I can see dethroning the Sweeper for me is the Fedorov Avtomat M1916. Just look at this beauty.

I'd take the Rock over the corrupt shitbags we have in political offices now thinking about 2020/2024. At least he's a decent person. XD I think the media learned their lesson with Trump. West is more prone to flying off the handle than even Trump is. They'd just ignore him like Ron Paul. Like I said he could run as independent and do some damage for the reasons Sledge mentioned. But I don't think he's willing to spend as much of his personal wealth to win a primary like Trump did in the first place.

The oversight the Democrats have right now is they're too busy pounding on social issues while people were pissed off about health care, national debt, international weakness, and jobs. When people's lives are getting fucked up financially, they don't give two shits about other people's lifestyle issues. You can't want something better for someone else when you're in the shit hole yourself.

I see some people I went to school using the usual talking points "I want poor people to have health care because I'm not a bad person!" motherfucker, yes you are if you don't care how they get it. The government can come out and say X more number of people now have coverage. Forget that the coverage is shitty and to pay for it, it's now more expensive for those that use to be able to afford it. Remember when you could just walk into the Dr office and see them? Not anymore, you better have already been a regular patient there or you'll be waiting months to see the doctor. I learned that shit when I had vertigo. It was a 3-4 month wait to see any doctor or specialist. Urgent Care is the only place you can go if you wake up sick and the doc is booked for the day... Good luck there, they just tell you to go see your regular doctor and take $120 from you if you have something more than a basic fever or cold. Oh the unemployment rate is getting better? Too bad it doesn't account for the fact that 90 million people aren't participating in the labor force, and when the government report said they created X number of jobs,  it's all bullshit part time work in which 1 person probably holds 3 of those new jobs. People's way of life has better getting worse over the last 8 years, and activism isn't on the top of their priority list.

It takes months to just see a regular doctor? O_O I used to go to a small doctor's office with restricted hours but switched to a larger joint doctor office years ago and they're open 7 days a week. My insurance has Teledoc too, but I've never felt the need to skype with a doctor when the doctors I go to can always get me in the day I call them. Medicaid in NY state has Teledoc too. Specialists are another story tho. I've had to wait 3 months to get a specialist appointment before. x_x

I know theres some real hate out there for Trump right now. It all stems from the negative comments hes made over the course of the campaign. Just like the negative crap Hillary said that was stated in that video. Everyone has been "hate watching" everything both candidates have said and it helped make everyone furious at them. If Hillary won, all her supporters would have been labeled as clones of herself like republican voters are being labeled as clones of him. Now that the election is over the huge hatred of each individual candidate is now being superimposed in the minds of both groups of 59 million people that voted for each of them. Some of these people turned that hatred into protests, others have wanted to start working on impeachment proceedings. On the other side, the winners feel vindicated and call the others sore losers and crybabies while in actuality theres a large chunk of those people (millions) going thru anxiety attacks thinking theres 59 million trumps out there waiting to grab them by the pussy and deport their mothers. It'll calm down after a while once the dust starts settling but that could last for a long time. This election will definitely be remembered as having the 2 most unpopular major party candidates in history.

On a side note, I honestly don't like Trump and many of his positions. Half my family voted for Trump and the other half voted for Hillary (same with about half the people I know on facebook). I don't always agree with relatives and friends on their decisions, but I don't expect everyone to agree with me either. Life moves on. I wish I still drank alcohol. I'd have drank a bottle of whisky throughout this week. XD

  22. Since the BF1 servers were down yet again tonight (fucking christ DICE/EA, get your shit together) I finally beat the Tanker storyline of the campaign. I have to say if the other 5 are anything like it I'm in for a treat. This is by far one of the best campaign stories I've played for a BF game since the original Bad Company. Good lord that was fun as hell and the spark plug mission was great (I fucked with the Germans so hard it wasn't even funny).

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The Tank and Pilot missions were both 5 sections, but the pilot mission probably was shorter since it was faster paced, with less boots on the ground. Hell, Lawrence of Arabia probably took me longer since I opted to stealth as much as possible. I'm going to have to go back and try to get some more codex, some of those skins you can get from SP are pretty sweet.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

The Lawrence one sounds like fun, can't wait to give it a try (maybe this weekend if I get time). I originally tried to do the spark plugs mission the stealthy way but sadly I ran out of silenced sniper rifle ammo and the Germans caught on quickly that someone was killing them. So I picked up a normal sniper and started killing them left and right, loud and proud. Sadly the AI wasn't exactly that smart as everyone in the area came looking for me (and one damn near killed me with a field gun). It took them 10 minutes to figure out I was wiping them out from one of the windmills which was when the field gunner decided to flatten it. After that I just ran around fucking with them until I got the last spark plug. So much fun though the Flame Trooper made things a little hairy.

It's silver. While I generally like to stick to blues, blacks, and reds for car colors (exactly like my father on that) its damn fine looking.

Well I did get the car today (I'll post pictures later when I have time). After everything was said and done the payments come out to $214 a month which I'm more than happy about. It's a damn nice car and handles like a dream.

  24. Started playing Journey today. Have no idea whats really going on (I understand for the most part but without any talking or narrations it's all pretty much how you take what you're shown in the cutscenes) but the art style is nice, the puzzle mechanics are pretty interesting, the ability to meet random people playing it is cool (even if you can't speak to each other), and the soundtrack is freaking amazing (probably the best part of the game so far for me). It's a rather relaxing game, can't wait to find time to sit down and actually finish it (I think I'm a third of the way through the game).

Yea, it pretty much is. All it really gives you is cutscenes and a few pictographs while you're traveling with a basic premise (I've read a plot synopsis from the developers so I know what they're trying to say through the game but it is pretty much up to your own thoughts on it). It's roughly a 2-3 hour playthrough by what I've read (if you only plan on playing it once, I'll probably play this multiple times just because the soundtrack is awesome and as I said it's a very relaxing game). Even though I haven't beaten it I fully understand why this game was so well received when it first came out.

So I beat it tonight after my curiosity got the best of me. I really do have to say this game is amazing and I plan on playing it through multiple times now that I've finally reached the end. It really is a deeply personal experience (evoking all sorts of feelings and thoughts, I honestly found it to be a greatly moving game to the point I had a tear in my eye when I reached the end) and while there is a plot there you really do make meaning for yourself while you play through the game. You get to meet a variety of people playing through the game (I played through with 6 different people in my one play through playing with the last person for the last half of the game) and though you can't talk (every character has a unique tone that you can use to get their attention but that's about all it's useful for) you still get a sense of camaraderie while you journey with them. The soundtrack, as I said is amazing, really does set a tone for each stage/level you progress to getting serious when it needs to and uplifting when it needs to. There are points where the game gets rather tense (I won't say what they are so you can surprise yourself as it's part of the experience) and points where it's downright goofy (meeting the cloth whale was probably the strangest thing I found in the game).

Overall this game deserves all the praise it's gotten and more. This game has more to it then most AAA titles on the market today and did so with a relatively small team and a simple idea. I can't stress enough how much everyone should give this game a try and while I admit it's not for everyone I'm sure even those who dislike it for what it is has something they found enjoyable about it. I really wish big name developers would look at these indie studios and take notes on what a game should be and not what they want it to be.

  25. With the amount of time PSN is "down for maintenance" I should of just stuck with Microsoft and bought a XBone, at least Live is up more then it's down. All I wanted to do was watch some god damn Netflix tonight but no someone is either DDoSing them again or they just suck at announcing maintenance times. /grumble

I don't get is why the hell we should even have to connect to PSN to watch netflix at all. I blame the BF1 beta tho. We use netflix at least 5 days a week on Lady's account on our PS3 (she is set to autologin on that device for auto updates to the system) and the only time we've had PSN interrupt us in the past 4 years is whenever there is a large beta happening. I'm assuming its people that hate Sony / EA and are DDOSing PSN but PSN is saying "maintenance" my ass its maintenance. The same "maintenance" happened during the BF3 and Destiny betas too and I can guarantee it'll happen the week of BF1's release too. Get a roku stick when you see one on sale. I use my roku every day and netflix has only screwed up a couple times on me over the last almost 2 years and I fix it by resetting my router. The youtube app on my roku is horrible because of how laggy the menu navigation is but once it's playing a video its fine. Netflix however runs the same on my roku as it does on the PS3/PS4. No lag and great performance.

I have the equivilant of last years model of this one:

      https://www.amazon.com/Roku-3500R-Streaming-Stick/dp/B00INNP5VU

I got it for a christmas present from my parents. They bought it on sale for $25 at the time. I recommend a roku to everyone. Want to watch netflix on another tv? or visiting a friend that doesn't have netflix? This thing fits in your pocket. Plug it into any tv, setup the wifi connection and its all set. It plugs in the hdmi port and it comes with a power cord that you can either plug into the tv's usb port or use the power adapter it comes with. It periodically updates the apps and resets itself when not in use. I even have the time warner app on this and it acts like an extra cable box.

I might have to pick one of those up but I don't have an open HDMI port on my TV (it only has 3 and all are used (one for the retarded cable box, one for the PS4, and one for my 360 (which I guess I could unhook since I never use it))). If I wasn't so damn lazy I could turn on the 360 to watch Netflix but the damn thing feels like it takes 3 years to load the dashboard. I could also watch it on my phone or my laptop but meh, it's just so much nicer to lie down in bed and watch it on the TV. My main grumble is why are they increasing Plus prices when there network is shit compared to Live which can justify the price you pay for it (yea Live has it's own problems but Microsoft did a great job on it that the problems are few and far between). The other grumble is that it always goes down when I plan on doing something on my PS4 (like last week when I tried to catch up on Youtube vids and last night when I was actually going to get on Netflix for once) that doesn't revolve around gaming (and I agree apps like Netflix and Youtube shouldn't be tied to whether PSN is up or down).

Funny thing is everyone was blaming it on the BLOPS3 DLC going live yesterday (or the fact that it'd go down when a major DLC releases, I got a kick out of that).

Thats why I like my roku stick. Theres no network to go down to prevent you from using it. And I figured out today that I can use my phone's youtube app as the controller for my roku's youtube app (I thought that only worked for consoles). God that made using youtube so much easier for me today. I can even setup a queue of videos to watch and just sit back and enjoy. I've used this thing almost every day for almost 2 years and the only time I have issues with netflix (1 time netflix went down for a few hours, over 2 years) or my time warner app (time warner's app connection has issues about 3 times a month), its because those services are having issues and not the roku stick. Get one of these sticks and unhook the xbox and you wont regret it. Theres numerous apps that can be installed on it too. I have amazon prime, so I use the amazon video app on it and stream movies too.
