  1. Eh, it was a good series. I still don't know how to take the ending to this day (a friend of mine absolutely hates the ending) but all around it was a rather good watch.
  2. I never expect anything good when I go to movies. I go in expecting to be let down (like LOTR, good movies but they let me down). It's very rare that I walk into a movie expecting a lot (besides the movie I mention below last one I went into expecting a lot of was Last Samurai and Silent Hill (and I wasn't let down in either, though Silent Hill has some spots that bug me)). Last movie I went to, which was Wild Hogs, I went in expecting a lot and I wasn't let down (best movie I've seen this year and no I did not see 300 (had no desire too)).

    Hello

That would explain a few things

    Hello

Welcome to the insanity known as AC. Enjoy your stay and a word of advice, hide now before you're eaten by a noob eater. Hmmm, well at least Eppy didn't sick the chibis on the newbie. That would of been completely random and scary.
  6. Thank you Eva, couldn't remember for the life of me how many there were. I forgot to mention/shudder at mentioning the live action movie G-Saviour. I won't go into it but it's a horrible movie that should of never been made.
  7. I believe there's a Gundam game or two on the Japanese GC. Don't recall any being released on the American GC. As for the topic at hand: I highly doubt there will ever be an American release of this MMO. Originally one was planned but sadly Gundam fandom has been on a decline in the US ever since Mobile Suit Gundam aired on Toonami, basically killed the fandom Wing brought in (and SEED hasn't revived it any which frankly I think is a good thing since I hate SEED but a bad thing in that I love Gundam). There really wouldn't be enough people playing it to warrant translating the game.
  8. Theres: MSG Movie Trilogy (Original MSG condensed into three movies) Zeta Movie Trilogy (Zeta Gundam condensed into three movies) Char's Counterattack Gundam F91 (that was mentioned before) Turn-A Gundam movie(s) (can't remember how many were made, again it condensed the series into movies) I think SEED has a movie or two (can't remember since I never payed close attention to SEED related stuff, I know theres a few OVA's but I don't know about movies).
  9. Saiel took the words right out of my mouth. To this day Star Ocean: The Second Story is one of my favorite RPGs, it really does deserve more love. I'd like to also put in a word for the Suikoden series. Besides it's cult following it's relatively unknown to most gamers (though with the last two games I've noticed an influx in new fans) and under appreciated by those who have played it and said it wasn't that great. The complex tactical battles (ala RTS games, best part of the game), 107 character that can be recruited into the team, learning how to effectively level all you're characters evenly and choosing the best ones to do certain fights/encounters, and building up you're own little town/castle/etc. are some of the most interesting and best things I've seen implemented into an RPG series in a long time. I could keep going on about this game but I'll stop, I seriously think all self respecting RPG fans should give this series a go (I'm not saying you'll like it, Suikoden isn't for everyone sadly, but it'd be nice for you to experience things that other RPGs don't add in).
  10. "Rose" - Anna Tsuchiya "a little pain" - Olivia "Wish" - Olivia "Starless Night" - Olivia "Kuroi Namida" - Anna Tsuchiya "Lucy" - Anna Tsuchiya "stand by me" - Anna Tsuchiya "Shadow of Love" - Olivia "Winter sleep" - Olivia "Recorded Butterflies" - Olivia Basically my playlist for the last week (NANA music ftw!)
  11. If I have to take my pick I'll watch anything UC anyday but then again I've seen every Gundam series except Gundam ZZ (have it downloaded, just not watched), Victory Gundam (same as ZZ), Turn-A Gundam (again same story), Gundam SEED (watched the first 6 eps, was totally disgusted with the series and quit watching), and Gundam SEED Destiny (why watch it when the first was crap). Out of what I've seen my favorites are Zeta Gundam, The 8th MS Team, and Gundam X. Currently though I'm not watching any Gundam (don't have time to sit down and watch a 50 episode series at the moment, plan on watching Turn-A or Victory Gundam this weekend though so I can finally get them watched).

    Hey people

Well I'll be damned. Welcome back to the insanity
  14. Hmmm, I look forward to seeing this. Interesting premise behind it
  15. Considering that the books take place year after year in Harry's life at Hogwarts they are not aging in the movies like the books. To do so they'd have to change actors for the films because you can't stop a real person from aging. Interesting to finally find out the name of the final book (I haven't been following up on news for it so this a first hearing it for me). Should prove to hopefully be an interesting read when it comes out.
  16. Looks good but I'll remain skeptical until I see it. I was grossly disappointed in the second one so hopefully this one is better.
  17. Actually minion that Gundam is combat ready and can be used outside the mobile armor add-on in combat. The Stamen was specifically built, however, to be used within the armor system. In combat outside of the armor the suit is at a slight disadvantage but it would not be easily destroyed
  18. The short sword is known as the Wakizashi and it wasn't used for seppuku (they carried the short sword as a way of letting them stay armed indoors since it was customary to leave your katana at the entrance, thus the reason Samurai carried two swords), the Tanto (dagger) was used to make the cuts in seppuku. Now that you've had your history lesson back to the Gundam discussion.
  19. You know now that I think about it all the guys did sound somewhat similar, no wonder their voices never left me with the impression the Japanese voices did. Technically Sony Films (if I got that right, it's been awhile since I last looked up what company grabbed the rights for Blood+) is doing the dub so it's up to them how they do it. You really can't turn Blood+ into a comedy because the animation sets it up to be a very emotional series but I don't have a doubt in my mind they'll change the script enough to add a comedic twist (we've already noticed this with the French accent on Argiano and the Jamaican accent on whats his name).
  20. I had the displeasure of viewing the dub last night. I'm sorry but that's one of the worst dubs I've heard in a long time (not as horrible as the Trigun dub mind you but still bad). That french accent on Argiano (sp?) was obviously forced and don't get me started on the Jamaican accent. It's almost as if the people doing the parts have no emotion or just didn't want to do the job. I only hope it gets better because if they continue being as emotionless as they are now people aren't going to feel what they should when watching it (Blood+ is a very emotional series and I'm not feeling that from watching the dub).
  21. Eh, in technicality they were the same things in the movie also but we're not getting technical (only real difference is in the movie Saya is a vampire and in the series she isn't (not a spoiler so don't get ticked at me those of you who haven't seen the series))
  22. I watched it as it came out. I must say I was impressed with it, even if I originally refused to watch it since it had nothing to do with the original Blood movie (I loved the movie and was afraid they'd take to many liberties with the anime). And they're not vampires, they're Chiropterans (there is a difference, even if both are blood sucking beasts).
