  1. Pretty sure Disney will mothball Deadpool after this movie because Disney will never release a rated R film under it's name (and it doesn't matter if it has the Marvel name, everyone knows who owns it) it's the reason why the Marvel films, while still good and with great action scenes, are so tame compared to what they could be in the hands of a company not afraid to take chances or get the hard R. Kevin Feige (I think that's how its spelled) has wanted to do an R Marvel movie for a long time but Disney won't let him due to their family friendly stance. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but this is Disney and they are known for screwing things over massively (plus we'll never see him make a full transition over to the MCU. I can see him being mentioned in passing after the MCU is rebooted after Avengers 4 but never part of the actual MCU (unless the X-Men are brought into it, which is possible because I'm sure Marvel is revamping their plans post reboot now that they have the ability to pull from the X-Men and Fantastic 4 roster)).
  2. Spawn Beacon for the new Elite Class (which also has a flare gun that calls in artillery strikes).
  3. I liked Jurassic World, thought it was a nice homage to the first JP but also did enough to stand on its own (and it wasn't a huge fucking let down like JP2 and JP3 were). The only thing that killed it for me was the whole piecemeal dino, that was stretching it a little to far for my liking. I'll give it a shot but I'm not really sold on this one. The whole going back to the island to save the dinosaurs is just retarded, I was hoping they would follow the plot thread of the Asian scientist (I forget his name) making off with all that Dino DNA/embryos.
  4. Hey now, Fuko is adorable. Don't be judging her because her eyes are huge (yes I know that character because she's from one of my favorite animes and visual novels). They did it, and I'm only saying this because it seems everyone thinks this, is because it's literally how she's drawn in the manga. She has those huge eyes in the manga and it's just her design aesthetic. Honestly not the way I would of went with her character in a live action but it's what they chose.
  5. Those eyes X.X I hate to be the guy jumping on the hate train again but based on this trailer the movie is going to be horrible (and believe me I hate to say that, I've been waiting for some sort of adaptation for Gunm for years (besides the Anime OVA which wasn't all that bad, not great but not bad) but this is cringe worthy). Plus that body *shudder* it's just horrible. At least the Major's in GitS was more believable than this. When I watched this earlier I had to force back my gag reflex, that's just how disgustingly horrible I find this.
  6. He actually says he's in Japan in the Middle Ages which is technically correct as this period of time would be considered Japan's Middle Age we just refer to it as Feudal Japan. Either or would be correct for the translation though, since I don't speak Japanese, I don't know exactly how it's originally worded. I might actually have to watch this. Don't usually get excited about animated superhero shows but this one looks good. Though, considering how he's dressed, I'd consider this more like Batman Samurai not Ninja. He's clearly wearing Samurai armor and wielding a Katana both of which Ninja did not wear or use (sorry but it just kinda bugs me that they'd use Ninja even though he's clearly dressed and acting like a Samurai).
  7. Meh, some good changes and some pretty piss poor changes. I don't think Bungie has a clear idea what they want to do with this game anymore and it's starting to show. Quite honestly I'm not all that interested in CoO anymore if this is what I get to look forward to.
  8. Not exactly good news if you ask me considering that, unless the original author does it, anything added to an epic fantasy series like this will feel unoriginal and uninspired. It's no secret that I'm not the biggest fan of Peter Jackson's LotR movies (I still feel they were shitty adaptations but given time constraints I understand why they cut a variety of things) and while I think he did an amazing job with The Hobbit Trilogy (still not as faithful as I'd of liked but still very good movies (Legolas should of never been in the movies as he was never in the book)) I just feel no one is capable of adapting LotR faithfully enough for me to be happy about it (then again my opinion will always be disregarded because money). The Silmarillion could never be adapted into a TV series or movie considering that book is a collections of unfinished stories Tolkien wrote before he died that Christopher compiled into a book (with his own revisions and additions). It's to disjointed to get a real feel for anything going on and the writers would have to take severe liberties just to make a coherent enough movies/show (something I'd hate because no one really knows how Tolkien would of finished those stories). Yea, suffice to say I'm going to be severely disappointed with whatever comes out of this deal (unless it's an actual, faithful adaptation of the books). I just feel this franchise should be left alone and not messed with but again my opinion matters not because money.
  9. , really he just needed to beat the devil out of it some more (maybe add a few more happy little trees). That's all I got, can't wait for this to come out now.
  10. I can guarantee you Bungie won't leave the regenerating ammo perk on the weapons if they stay power weapons due to how OP it is, which is why I feel they should be regulated to energy weapons (yea a damage nerf but it's honestly not as much as people think it is. They still do damn good damage to enemies that don't have shields). Bungie has always been very unforgiving with Power/Heavy ammo and allowing a weapon into that slot that allows ammo regeneration will break their "finely tuned balance". Its the reason why both IB and Invective saw nerfs to their regeneration capabilities in D1. Thorn will be Thorn, I highly doubt they'll change it's mechanics besides maybe nerfing the DoT if it's too much (that is if it even is the Thorn, remember Hive weapons all look the same for the most part (sorry Hive themed weapons) and this could be a sister gun to the original Thorn. Just because it shares the silhouette does not guarantee that it's Thorn). Fuck I'd kill for Last Word to come back. That was my favorite HC in D1 outside of whatever the Legendary one I was using when I quit playing (I don't remember, I think it was the Queen's HC).
  11. I'll only take back Invective and Ice Breaker if they make them energy weapons instead of Power Weapons, keeping them in the power category will effectively nerf why these weapons were so good in D1. Yes, putting them into the energy category will nerf them anyways but holding them in the power slot is just fucking retarded (one of the main reasons I hate the new weapon classes, they should of kept the old ones. As someone who likes to play long range they effectively killed my play style when they forced snipers into the power category). I already knew Thorn would be coming back, especially considering how the story has been unfolding (we're working our way to another huge Hive/Taken expansion and I'm pretty much going to guarantee that it's going to be along the lines of Taken King (two Strikes in the game give this away if you are confused as to what I'm referencing here)). Plus, considering how sought after it was in D1, they'd be dumb not to put it back in. Not that it matters, there are far better weapons in D2 than the old Thorn and pending on it's changes I highly doubt people will use it over the more favored weapons currently in the game (especially Crucible, the current meta pretty much shits on hand cannons (with the exception of Better Devils)). Outside of the story elements I'm not looking forward to the DLC. 5 more levels to grind, yet another PL grind that I'll never reach due to PL game mechanics screwing people like me who play alone and are not in a clan (and that will not change, even with some of these QoL changes), and just honestly the weekly grind isn't really fun anymore. I won't buy this until my friend gives me his impressions on it since he'll be getting when it releases.
  12. Bah, you're not a true ace pilot until you beat a mission on Aces of Aces using cockpit mode only with no missiles and your vulcan In all seriousness I actually prefer cockpit mode depending on what plane I'm flying but I might just have to make an exception just because that dynamic cloud system looks fucking amazing.
  13. Oh you fight the Kazon as well, fuck there's a whole season (Expansion) that deals with the Delta Quadrant where the KDF, Starfleet, and their Romulan allies fight off the beginnings of the Iconian invasion while dealing with the hostile denizens of the Delta Quadrant. STO is a lot like WoW in the terms of two factions fighting against each other, yes 40 years in the future we are still at war with the Klingons (though there is a cease fire in existence when the Iconians show up) so there is always someone to fight but PvP has never been a big aspect of STO as far as I can tell (or heard from my Fleet). The Iconians never died. They went into hiding after the alliance of alien species destroyed their homeworld. They were never really an antagonistic species and actually had values very similar to Starfleet. https://sto.gamepedia.com/Iconian, pretty much explains everything that happened before and after their disappearance and yes they are leaps and bounds more powerful then Starfleet, the Klingon Empire, and the Romulan Republic combined. We only won the war due to time traveling.
  14. Not so much, species 8472 turned their sights on us once the Queen was killed (metaphorically speaking, there hasn't been a resurgence of a new body for the queen at least in STO). They play a pretty big role in a lot of the beginning quests trying to bring down the KDF and Starfleet from within. There's also a whole Expansion dedicated to fighting them (and it sucks, they're just as bad as the Borg when it comes to taking them on sometimes). I'm sure they're still fighting but with the Borg in a weakened state they turned their attentions to us (along with everything else in the fucking galaxy. I've had to fight the Tholians, Dominion (yes, they are still around), Cardassians (yep, still around as well), The Breen, The Xindi, The Hirogen, The Vaadwaur (yes, that species the Voyager team woke up), The Voth, The Iconians, and many other species/factions besides the KDF, Borg, and 8472. It's been literal hell). Could be but not much was ever covered on Unimatrix Zero outside of Voyager. They're called the Cooperative and they're allies with Starfleet through Seven (who makes an appearance in the game acting as sort of an ambassador). All I really know about them is that they're free from the Collective by some means. I'd say it took roughly 40+ years for them to rebuild the conduit hub because they're in vanilla STO and have they're own storyline (they're still trying to invade the Alpha Quadrant). I only say 40+ because I'm not sure how long after Voyager returned home that the events of Nemesis took place (all I know is that Janeway was an Admiral by that time).
  15. Ah, yep there you go. It's been like 6 years since I've rewatched Voyager and now I remember it. That episode was fucking bonkers. To amend something I said above it's actually a Cyclical Quantum Slipstream Drive and it still can't be used for long periods of time (the game limits it to a 30 second boost to warp 24 and it's on a 2 minute cooldown). Starfleet and the Klingon Empire built their own corridor system by the looks of it in the game as there is a transwarp gate at every major strategic holding for both sides (I should also say the Romulan Republic has their own as well but they have no true allegiance in the game as you can choose whether your character serves Starfleet or the KDF). I don't really know much about the lore in-between Nemesis and the game but it seems the Borg are no longer a real threat anymore, shit we don't even need to use rotating shield or phaser frequencies just to fight them. Just goes to show how much 40 years can do for advancement (though they are still a bitch to fight and we have two factions now. The normal collective and one that's allied with us). Scotty never ruins anything, he just happens to sometimes modify something in a way that makes it break
