  1. So I finished watching the first season of My Hero Academia tonight and you were right DX I absolutely love the show. I think most of that has to do with my absolute adoration for All Might but I could be wrong (but I'm sure I'm not, you can't hate the man he's just fucking perfect).

Gotta say for a shounen series it certainly has a lot going for it. Great humor, awesome character development and characters , a good story (I only say good for now as it's only S1 that I've finished, I hear it gets a lot better), and a pretty kick ass soundtrack. Not going to say I don't have any problems with the show (it suffers from some of the things I hate about shounen series) but those are greatly overshadowed by everything I said before.

I'm honestly looking forward to starting S2 tomorrow (thank god I'm on vacation) and hopefully starting S3 before I go back to work (if I don't get lost in the myriad of other things I have to do this week).

Season 2 is fantastic even thought I felt like the last arc should have been the first making the middle arc the last, which was by far the strongest part of that season, and the series up to that point. All Might is such a great character, I think he personifies what most view as true heroism. Despite his secret disability, he puts on a brave face and does what he can for the public. I love Eraser Head as well, dudes a bad ass.

No shit is he a badass. The way he fucked up all those Villans at USJ was fucking amazing (especially for what type of Hero he is). I still don't like him personally (his personality rubs me the wrong way which is odd because his type of character is the one I usually like) but the man can hold his own in a fight and it's obvious he cares about his students if he was willing to go that far to protect them.

I'll admit if it wasn't for All Might I probably wouldn't of continued on with the show after the first episode. His sense of humor, extreme sense of justice, and his personality when he's in his normal form is what drew me in. Plus his absolute care and devotion to Izuku (and his other students as well) as he comes to terms with his Quirk and learns to use it is amazing. Not to mention his complete bad ass fight at USJ. All Might is the pure personification of heroism, a truly selfless hero that is willing to sacrifice himself if it means saving the world. It's the reason he's idolized and called the "Symbol of Peace".

Finished Season 2 tonight and by god was it amazing. While I agree with you that the middle arc should of been the last arc it's understandable why it's set up the way it is (considering what's coming (yea I haven't watched that far ahead but I already know whats going to happen (damn my curiosity and my friends inability to keep his mouth shut))).

By far the middle arc has been not only an amazing area of plot and character development but by god was it gruesome. Considering the light hearted and battle focused sports fest and the action packed final exam (which has cemented my hatred for Bakugo even more (I get where he's coming from but his character just rubs me the wrong way)) it's kinda surprising they'd throw such a dark arc in the middle of all that. Might I also add I simply love Gran Torino (and the fear he inspires in All Might) and I have a much better understanding and have actually started liking Todoroki.

I have to say I'm amazed how much this show has grown on me (much like Gurren Lagann). Like I said before I generally hate shounen series and I'm not a huge fan (you could almost say I hate) superhero (which lets admit this is what they are) related media but for some reason this show is just great. Definitely one of my favorite series. While I know it's not done airing I can't wait to start watching Season 3 and get caught up to current.
