  1. Well I won't be getting BF1 now due to the car accident I was in today leaving work. I won't get into the details but everyone involved is ok (I have a sore shoulder wear the seat belt locked up but nothing serious) but my car is pretty much fucked so I now get to go shopping for a new one this weekend (yay, more payments I can't afford but it'll be cheaper than getting the damage repaired). What a lovely day to end my work day (and I got off early due to having to attend a quarterly meeting that suffice to say I missed).

Ouch. That sucks man. My car got totalled out a few years ago and I found something that I could pay in full to avoid car notes, sadly it's made up for it in maintenance costs.

I'm hoping to find something affordable but around here I doubt I'm going to find something in my price range (I can't afford anything more then $350 a month in payments and I doubt I'll find that and if I do who knows if I'll want the vehicle). Yours sounds exactly like the car that pretty much got wrecked, the thing was cheap but more then made up for it in maintenance costs (put a new transmission in it 5 years ago plus various other things that added up quickly). If it wasn't for the back struts being fucked the car would still be able to drive but as is it's currently a death trap (I had to drive it to my father's shop and lets say that was the scariest 15 minute drive I've ever had, damn near went in the ditch 5 times).

I should of taken pictures of it but completely forgot to between talking to the highway patrolman, the other party involved, and helping my father figure out how we were going to get the car back to town (thankfully my father lives in town otherwise that would of been a fun time trying to figure that one out). I'm honestly just happy everyone is ok. As much as it sucks a vehicle is replaceable another person's (or my own) life is not.

It's gotta suck because if it wouldn't have been for your unemployment situation you'd probably have more flexibility I'm guessing.

I don't know what the car market is like there, I know my previous car I bought for $14k with $3000 down. My notes ended up being $257 a month for 5 years. When it was totaled I was given $7000 for it and turned around and bought the only car I could find for $7000 that didn't have 100k miles on it.  Then again the only reason they came down from the $10k asking price was because they thought I wouldn't find out about its busted transmission. Which they replaced with one that's about to go out again soon, dirty bastards.
