Day 2 of being back to work and I'm dead/exhausted. Good god these 10 hour days are rough, so not used to it (not to mention my feet are killing me, my shoulder hurts like hell, and my hands are stiff and ache all over (this assembly shit is not easy on your body)). If you don't hear from me for awhile I'm probably dead from exhaustion (and I have mandatory overtime this week too so no three day weekend , just got to think of all that lovely money).

I'm going to be looking into those inserts but sadly I can't afford them until my first paycheck (which means, even though I don't want to work it, that overtime is going to come in real handy for).
Luckily my drive is no where near as bad as yours used to be and probably won't be during the winter. Depending on traffic it can take up to 15-20 minutes to drive home (sadly where I work just so happens to be located right off of one of the busiest highways in the area, its an easy drive in the morning but turns into hell after 5 pm (which is when I get off)). Winter I expect it to take up to 30 minutes as long as its as mild as last years (but what are the chances of that, god damn bipolar ND winters) and the DOT keeps up on it (which they're pretty damn good at doing so here in ND).
Sadly my time after work is pretty much unload my lunch box, take a shower, make and eat food, maybe get an hour of FFXIV in, get shit ready for the next day, then maybe get a hour of wind down time before I pass out (which I've been spending watching Twitch). Man I miss 8 hour days but I get the feeling I'll feel the same was as DX after awhile if I get off early (probably going to feel that way Friday if we get out early).

The routine of getting crap ready for the next day always annoyed me. Setting coffee for the morning, getting a lunch made, throwing my ice packs in the freezer, rinsing out my water bottle, cleaning coffee travel mug, etc. It doesn't take long but for some reason it always felt like such a chore. I do half that stuff now but its still annoying. lol. I'm glad your drive isn't too long, that'll help on that long day fatigue. But how are you at the end of the work day? Sweaty as all hell? I hated that because it prevented me from going to a grocery store on the way home from work. Hell if I wanted to expose anyone to my sweaty ass after 10 hours. x_x
Those expensive shoe inserts looked nice but I never tried them. They had a foot testing thing setup at walmart at the pharmacy. Stand on it, follow the instructions and it tells you what number of their product to buy based on your arch and pressure points. I think they were over $40 so I ended up buying new shoes with the memory foam in them for just under $60 instead.

Well, hopefully we'll manage to get some Overwatch in eventually.
