  2. From the album: FFXIV Pics

I failed to do this when I finally got the weapon upgraded to it i260 version two weeks ago. Wasn't a hard quest to do which means when patch 3.5 hits the last step for i270 is going to be a bitch. As you can see the weapon now has glowy bits on it (as I predicted) and it's called the Sharpened Spurs of the Thorn Prince. Yes my glamour on my armor has changed mostly due to replacing my old gear. What you see is a mix of the i210 Ninja Relic Armor (or the Iga set as it's called. Those pieces would be the chest piece, gloves, and boots), the Miqo'te Female Skirt dyed black (starting clothing when you first start out as a female Miqo'te (the cat race that my character is)), and the Minstrel's Spectacles dyed black. Might be hard to make them all out in the image but that's what the armor glamour is made up of. Wanted to go for a more ninja feel until I get my Alexander Chest piece so I can glamour that with the rest of the set onto my armor. Any character you might see in the screenshots are NPC's by the way, I took these screenshots in the city-state of Gridania (whose Grand Company (Order of the Twin Adder) my character serves in as a First Serpent Lieutenant).
  3. So I got on tonight just planning on seeing if the Premium Battlepack had dropped (it has, got the Legendary Bodeo skin out of it) and ended up playing a round of Operations on Kaiser (I'm not going to attempt to spell the whole thing) which had us getting pushed back to Amiens (was defending). We won but while doing so I got the most awesome Pentakill ever on a Heavy Tank with old Lumpy himself and I have a clip of it to show as well (finally figured out how to use ShareFactory to edit videos and upload, yea I'm slow but I honestly had no interest in posting vids till now. When I do get around to it I'll post that kill I got on an airplane using the landships side cannon).
  4. Meh, Soldier in 1 was amazing and you could tell the game was designed completely around playing a Soldier. 2 made the Soldier not so desirable for me as it lost a lot of what made it awesome in 1 in the transition (that being the new ammo system, my Soldier in 1 could fire his AR without it ever overheating). Considering my Soldier never made it into 3 as I still haven't beaten two with him yet (I was going to do that over my 4 day weekend last week but Skyrim put a hold on that) I don't know how good they were. Sadly powers in the first game were shit and 2 and 3 really made them shine. Sentinel was amazing. With Tech Armor you could pretty much run into any fight like a Soldier and tank the damage. With the addition of Biotic powers it was a powerhouse. Plus if you did Samara's loyalty mission in 2 you got access to Reave, one of the most broken Biotic powers in the game. Not only does it return health to you when it hits it hits like a truck. That with Warp and Throw made the Sentinel a blast to play (gun play wise they were lacking being stuck to SMG's and Pistols but that was a minor inconvenience). Infiltrators were just broken from the get go with their Sniper Rifles and cloaking ability. Meh, I'm not looking forward to this new scanning component of the game as it looks like it's more of a chore then a natural thing and gathering doesn't look fun at all. I already to enough of that shit in FFXIV (minus the scanning), I don't want to be spending hours gathering components for new armor, weapons, etc. The fact the planets have become open again and the amount of exploring to be done has me extremely interested, I missed that component in 2 and 3 (though 1 wasn't that great for exploration because all the planets were exactly the same just with different resource nodes and places you could visit).
  5. There is a multiplayer component as well just to let you know Sledge but it's completely optional (just like ME3's was (well was supposed to be but I won't get into that)). It looks amazing and the gun play looks a lot better then it ever has been but they just couldn't let go of the fucking ammo component could they. Sigh, it'd be nice to have ME1's infinite ammo/cooling system back. Sadly I don't know how hyped I'll really be until I see powers. I know they've done away with classes for the Pathfinder (which blows, I loved the one class aspect of ME) but I really want to know what powers are going to be in this one. Can I make my Pathfinder exactly like my Sentinel (by far the best class imo from ME2 and ME3 (best of both Tech and Biotic powers)? Can I shift more toward an Infiltrator build? I know I'm asking a lot here but a lot is riding on what is available to my character (I really want to play a Sentinel, that Tech Armor plus Biotic Powers was amazing).
  6. The RPD was probably the most OP LMG in COD4 so it's no surprise it never showed up again. Good god the killing sprees I could go on with that thing. One of the few times I ever enjoyed using an LMG in COD (the M60 was another good choice). Meh, the M4 was good for everything from close range to long and its recoil was extremely manageable which is why I used it constantly once unlocked (I threw in the AK only when I felt like pissing people off). The AK74u was a damn good weapon and I used it quite a bit when I wasn't MP5 Sniping or running Ghost (the P90 silenced was my weapon on my Ghost loadout). My true love was the M1014, that shotgun was freaking amazing. The killing sprees I went on with that gun are the stuff of legend (I kid but god damn was I good with that gun). Man I miss COD4, I really wish the original was still around (I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the Remaster) since I refuse to buy IW to get MWR. The only shooter game I've really enjoyed (I like Battlefield but COD4 is special, that game did everything right for me which is why MW2 was such a let down for me after they changed so much of what made MW so great) and the only one where I was extremely competitive in.
  7. I never really like the M16 and only used it for fast leveling when I was in the lower ranks. I always preferred the M4 if I was running a rifle in the original due to it being full-auto because burst fire weapons annoy the hell out of me (and we can blame the M16 for that as COD4 was my first real shooter besides Halo). Then again I am the guy who ran around almost exclusively with the P90 Silenced or MP5 Sniper (yes the MP5 was an effective sniper weapon with the ACOG scope on) because I loved the SMG gun mechanics in COD4 (that is when I wasn't sniping, god the R700 was a freaking beast of a gun). Sadly I didn't even agree with the original nerf back in COD4 for it because even if the weapon was great it still took a skilled player to use it as effectively as he did in that video. People forget COD used to be all about skill and map awareness, not who can jump and gun faster.
  8. Winter has finally attacked ND in full force. In just one day we've had 10 inches of snow and we're do for at least another 4-6 in my area alone before the end of Wednesday. It's lulled now but to be on the safe side I called into work today (thank god I have some vacation time to cover it) because driving home yesterday (I had to leave early because I did not want to drive in that shit at night) was a nightmare. Hopefully the DOT gets into full force today and gets the roads cleared and sanded so I can get to work tomorrow since this Charger hates ice and snow (my god the ass end of my car was sliding every which way yesterday no matter how slow I was going).

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Mostly sand, they run a liquid ice melter (they use the dry shut too from time to time) as well but for the most part they sand the roads out here. I'm starting to wish I had snow tires but I just need to get used to how this car handles, my Buick used to do the same shut till I learned how to handle it in winter (got to spoiled by Arizona winters for those 3 years I was down there).

      XD

A friend of mine used to be an expert with driving in the snow and ice, he'd purposefully slide the car all over the place with control and it blew my mind. I could do it to an extent but then I discovered snow tires and realized I could drive almost like normal during the winter without having my knuckles turn bleach white from gripping the steering wheel in terror for an hour on the freeway in a snow storm. XD

  9. Can this year be over with now? It's one gut punch after another. Ron Glass has passed away. Most may not know him unless they've seen his earlier work in Barney Miller, Sanford and Son, etc but I'll always remember him as Shepard Book from Firefly/Serenity and Garth from Fable 2. While I may not be a religious person his portrayal of Shepard Book always resonated with me. So long good Shepard, you will be sorely missed by the legions of Browncoats out there.

"I don't care what you believe. Just believe it." - Shepard Book

Those words have always resonated with me good sir, may you rest in piece.

RIP. I loved him in Firefly and Serenity. :(

  10. So I found my new favorite Medic weapon in BF1, the Cei-Rigotti Factory. I didn't notice until last night but it has a full-auto feature like the Sweeper and it's more accurate then the Sweeper. The 10 round mags kind of kills its killing potential but at least 80% of your shots will hit unlike the Sweeper. I'm also ashamed to say I was enjoying using the Model 10 Factory last night, I went on some killing sprees that surprised the hell out of me. I still say it needs a nerf but I understand why people like using it and it's Hunter loadout now, the gun is a beast.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I took it for a spin again the other night and I just love the sweeper too much to give it up. I stick to trenches, tunnels, and flanks. If I fight long range I'm using the Martini. XD

It will be interesting to see what DLC brings to the medic class though. The French guns are missing from the game that I suppose will be added with their map pack. The RSC Model 1917 and Meunier A6 should both make it into the game. Since they have the Mondragon in the game which is a Mexican rifle, I'll be interested to see if they add the Chineses Liu. There is also a Madsen rifle that is top loaded like the LMG.

But the only thing I can see dethroning the Sweeper for me is the Fedorov Avtomat M1916. Just look at this beauty.

I forgot to mention that the Avtomat is a Russian gun and it damn well better be in the Russian DLC with the Mosin.

I bet in the next DLC support will get a new gas mortar. If gas wasn't bad enough now, imagine every support guy shooting 5 rounds of gas around a flag and 2 smoke right on it. XD

  11. If you actually think about it there are maybe only a handful of attachments in this game (Optical Sights, Marksmen Sights, Sniper Scopes (aka 10x scopes), Foregrips, Bayonets, Different Iron Sights (and AA Sights for LMG's), and maybe a few others) they actually wouldn't have to rebalance much at all since the game is already balanced around most of these. All they would honestly have to do is slightly modify damage dealt by certain weapons pending on attachments (I mean not every Scout Rifle can carry a scope, that's understandable so you can limit which guns get what. Same with not every weapon can take a foregrip, etc.). I mean they can keep these limitations on what guns can use what attachments but let me pick what attachments I want on my guns in those categories, fuck this 3 different types for 4 different guns (depending on class). Its aggravating that I can only choose what DICE wants me to instead of customizing the weapon to my liking (seriously you rarely saw the same setups on guns in BF4, everyone ran what was personally better for them based on their play style). They only handicapped the weapons because they were to lazy to think about how to balance the game around the limited amount of attachments (there weren't that many options during this time frame) and because they fucked up royally with BF4's attachment system (compared to 3's 4's was a nightmare if you didn't go to sites that gave you the run down with what attachments did what with you're guns using actual hard numbers). Limpet Charges go pretty far if you arc it enough when you throw it (at least in the campaign you could). Honestly I don't think you're even supposed to be able to throw them, DICE just made it that way so they're slightly more useable.
  12. I forgot to post this the other day when I watched it. Ricky got to go down and interview some of the cast and the director. Pretty much this confirmed that they're using multiple sources for this movie, taking bits and pieces of what they liked from the original movie and the tv series and adding their own original flair. Just thought I'd post it for a little more background on the movie. I'd post the newest Spacebar ep from Primr but half the episode talks about the new mini-NES console and Black Friday but the last half goes over GitS as well (just their thoughts and ideas) but it's almost 30 minutes long and you guys can look for it of you're interested (plus like I said the first half is just random crap).
  13. Historically speaking there's plenty of reasons for not having that many vehicles and that's one thing I give DICE, they're going for historical accuracy here (which is why a lot of the battles we're doing take place in 1917-1918, tanks weren't around for the first half of the war). Due to the scarcity of tanks on the battlefield it makes sense we only see 2-4 at a time. Planes on the other hand should be extremely abundant as should armored cars. I constantly use self-heal when I'm in a tank as I understand the need to keep the tank in combat for as long as possible (which is why you'll constantly see me attacking objectives and backing off so I can repair) and since very few Supports actually carry the mechanic tool it's almost a necessary to use it. They should leave it in but give people more incentive to use it instead of driving into a point and letting it get destroyed like so many other people do. Honestly I think Support is fine where it's at, it doesn't need the Anti-Tank grenade. A proper Support player should be making sure their Assault teammates are constantly supplied so the need shouldn't even be there (plus Limpet Charges are extremely effective, people just need to quit using the mortar so god damn much (yes I know I love the mortar but I think I'm going to start carrying the limpet charge from now on)). I do agree though that Light Tanks/Artillery Trucks need to spawn on specific flags and not be able to even be chosen from spawn (in certain game modes). Landships and Heavy Tanks are always needed and should always be a priority when choosing a tank. If they can rework the progression system into something that actually rewards players for what they do I would be more gung-ho about playing this game. I miss the old ribbon/medal system and the old way we unlocked guns. This war bond shit needs to go and an attachment system needs to be implemented as I'm not a fan of this 3 different loadouts for guns thing we got going on. Let us decide how we set our guns up not do it for us. I feel DICE is just getting lazy and is afraid of being ridiculed for recycling tried and true systems (though I will admit the attachment system in BF4 was extremely flawed and needed some serious work to rebalance it properly). Honestly I'm surprised you're not burned out yet DX. With as much as you play I'd of thought you'd be sick of it by now, especially considering you have every class at 10 now. The only joy I get out of playing now is with you guys or if I'm playing Domination (and the Domination thing is quickly becoming a less fun thing every second because of that damn Model 10). As I said Operations are getting boring because it's the same 4 sets of maps all the time (and at least for me it always ends on the first map, I haven't seen Argonne is so long I'm beginning to think it doesn't even exist (and it's my favorite map besides Monte Grappa)) and everything always plays out the same way (either attack steamrolls defense or defense steamrolls attack, there really is no middle ground).
  14. I fully agree with everything Level said. This game, while amazing, is sadly taking more steps backwards then it is forwards and DICE just fails to see it (and when they finally do it'll probably be to late as everyone will go back to the games that actually are making strides forward (R6S and Overwatch to name a few). Medals don't feel like accomplishments anymore (ask Sledge, the poor guy isn't going to get his Rush medal because of how frustrating it is to get), just long grinds that don't even give you a good looking dog tag (and honestly who can brag about getting the Class medals, if you play a class long enough it only a given you should be able to get said medal when it comes up). There are only two guns worth anything once you hit rank 10 on your classes and we all know which ones (though I still say Medics is a good weapon, you just need to know how to use it). Hell I honestly don't care if I get battlepacks anymore because the skins just aren't worth the unnecessary amount of time you have to grind to get them (or the amount of money you're going to need to spend to get them all). I chock my distaste up to getting burned out already on the game. It's fun but I'm already sick of the maps (especially in Operations, while I love the game mode I'm sick of playing on the same four sets of maps and never actually getting to see the second map in most of them anymore. At least in Domination I get to see all the maps but sadly even they are getting bland), I'm sick of one gun ruining all my fun (that Model 10 needs a nerf or needs to be taken out of the game, it's seriously getting to the point where you can't even do anything anymore due to the amount of people using it and there's really no counter to it unless you're sniping (sadly the 1907 Sweeper can't out damage it nor can the BAR)), and I'm getting sick of people not actually PTFOing anymore (Sledge and I ran into quite a few people today in Rush who were just farming kills and not actually playing the mode like you're supposed to). Honestly I'm no where near burned out on BF4 and this is troubling if, with all the hours I have logged into BF4, I'm already getting sick of BF1 (and all I play is Metro in BF4 and I never get sick of that map and I've logged at least 20+ hours into it out of my entire BF4 career). Sadly I've really been considering buying Titanfall 2 just to get a taste of something different (or going back to BF4 but I'm pretty sure the community is dead for it now with BF1 out) or going back to playing R6S again (which I need to do with the new patch being out now). DICE needs to figure out how to reinvigorate this game quickly before more people start to feel the same way because I know I'm not the only one in this boat atm and it's only going to get worse if they continue to do things this way.
  15. Yea let's nerf the only sniper rifle I like (and it honestly doesn't need it or at least the sniper varient doesn't. It honestly doesn't fire that fast) but leave the most op infantry weapon in the game alone. GG DICE, way to not listen to the community on that one (Domination is pretty much just Model 10 heaven, it's all I ever see anymore and it's taking the fun out of that mode for me). Not to sure I'm happy about the BAR getting an increase in horizontal recoil though. Not sure it needs it bit whatever.
  16. I agree with Elliot from ETC on youtube, it's a Mass Effect movie that isn't a Mass Effect movie. It honestly looks good and if it wasn't for the fact this is based on a graphic novel I'd swear they stole Mass Effect's original story and added their own flair to it (seriously that body armor, all it needs is the N7 logo). I'll give it a shot considering this is being directed by the guy who did The Fifth Element and that's one of my favorite movies.
  17. Meh, it's not bad. I mean she does spend quite a bit of time time in the manga and the movie nude so I'm honestly surprised they went with it (would of just been better nude but they would of never got the rating they wanted). Either way I honestly have no hopes for this movie after this trailer. Batou looks retarded (if that even is him, I honestly don't know what characters they're bringing into this movie), I honestly don't think Scarlett is a good fit for the Major (she doesn't have the attitude to be the Major), and this movie looks like a hodge podge of both plots from the original movie and the SAC series (plus there own little original story, Motoko has never really wondered where she came from as she knew (it's different pending on the source material but she knows who she is, she just questions whether or not everything is real and whether or not she has a "Ghost" since she's spent almost her entire life as a cyborg). I swear some of those scenes were pulled directly from the movie and the series (the fight in the water is from the original movie and the geisha dolls is from the first episode of SAC (with its own original twist)). I'll admit though those effects are amazing and probably the only upside to this movie based on the trailer. I shouldn't be hard on it but like I said I'm a huge GitS fan and I'm expecting a lot from this movie. Sadly it'll probably never deliver what I'm looking for.
  18. So I'm going to go find a hole and hide in it for the next 4 years, anyone want to join me? I have snacks and video games. (This is all I will say on what happened yesterday).

I'd take the Rock over the corrupt shitbags we have in political offices now thinking about 2020/2024. At least he's a decent person. XD I think the media learned their lesson with Trump. West is more prone to flying off the handle than even Trump is. They'd just ignore him like Ron Paul. Like I said he could run as independent and do some damage for the reasons Sledge mentioned. But I don't think he's willing to spend as much of his personal wealth to win a primary like Trump did in the first place.

The oversight the Democrats have right now is they're too busy pounding on social issues while people were pissed off about health care, national debt, international weakness, and jobs. When people's lives are getting fucked up financially, they don't give two shits about other people's lifestyle issues. You can't want something better for someone else when you're in the shit hole yourself.

I see some people I went to school using the usual talking points "I want poor people to have health care because I'm not a bad person!" motherfucker, yes you are if you don't care how they get it. The government can come out and say X more number of people now have coverage. Forget that the coverage is shitty and to pay for it, it's now more expensive for those that use to be able to afford it. Remember when you could just walk into the Dr office and see them? Not anymore, you better have already been a regular patient there or you'll be waiting months to see the doctor. I learned that shit when I had vertigo. It was a 3-4 month wait to see any doctor or specialist. Urgent Care is the only place you can go if you wake up sick and the doc is booked for the day... Good luck there, they just tell you to go see your regular doctor and take $120 from you if you have something more than a basic fever or cold. Oh the unemployment rate is getting better? Too bad it doesn't account for the fact that 90 million people aren't participating in the labor force, and when the government report said they created X number of jobs,  it's all bullshit part time work in which 1 person probably holds 3 of those new jobs. People's way of life has better getting worse over the last 8 years, and activism isn't on the top of their priority list.

It takes months to just see a regular doctor? O_O I used to go to a small doctor's office with restricted hours but switched to a larger joint doctor office years ago and they're open 7 days a week. My insurance has Teledoc too, but I've never felt the need to skype with a doctor when the doctors I go to can always get me in the day I call them. Medicaid in NY state has Teledoc too. Specialists are another story tho. I've had to wait 3 months to get a specialist appointment before. x_x

I know theres some real hate out there for Trump right now. It all stems from the negative comments hes made over the course of the campaign. Just like the negative crap Hillary said that was stated in that video. Everyone has been "hate watching" everything both candidates have said and it helped make everyone furious at them. If Hillary won, all her supporters would have been labeled as clones of herself like republican voters are being labeled as clones of him. Now that the election is over the huge hatred of each individual candidate is now being superimposed in the minds of both groups of 59 million people that voted for each of them. Some of these people turned that hatred into protests, others have wanted to start working on impeachment proceedings. On the other side, the winners feel vindicated and call the others sore losers and crybabies while in actuality theres a large chunk of those people (millions) going thru anxiety attacks thinking theres 59 million trumps out there waiting to grab them by the pussy and deport their mothers. It'll calm down after a while once the dust starts settling but that could last for a long time. This election will definitely be remembered as having the 2 most unpopular major party candidates in history.

On a side note, I honestly don't like Trump and many of his positions. Half my family voted for Trump and the other half voted for Hillary (same with about half the people I know on facebook). I don't always agree with relatives and friends on their decisions, but I don't expect everyone to agree with me either. Life moves on. I wish I still drank alcohol. I'd have drank a bottle of whisky throughout this week. XD

  19. Honestly a system similar to the renown system in R6S is actually a very good way to go about doing the battlepack system. However the skins in the renown system for R6S are extremely expensive (9000 renown for basic skins, 15,000 or more for the very sought after skins (if they're purchasable for renown, a lot of the good skins require you to pay real money for Rainbow Credits just to buy)) and I'd hate for that to come over (though something similar would be nice). I'd like to see an implementation of scrap at the end of every battle based exactly on what the R6S system is, You get a certain amount for winning or losing (less for losing), your personal performance (based on your score), and in R6S whether or not you have a booster or Season Pass (which the season pass gives barely any extra, I've seen up to 13 extra renown for being the best in the match). They could go even further with giving extra scrap for getting recognized for feats during battle (most revives, most resupplies, best squad score, etc.). It has it flaws and only those who dedicate more then 3-4 hours a night to the game would benefit from it but it's the best option compared to what we have. The daily challenges would also be nice. R6S has up to 5 challenges you can do daily/weekly in-game plus up to 4 or 5 (don't remember, been over a month since I last played R6S) extra challenges you can pick up from Ubiclub (what used to be UPlay). Each gives a varying amount of extra renown based on the difficulty to complete (up to 600 renown) and the 5 in-game ones have timers on them so you can't continually do challenges left and right (the first is 24 hours, next is 48, and so on up to 120 hours (5 days)) and you have the option to drop challenges you don't want to do in hopes of getting one thats easier the next day (you don't get a choice on in-game ones, they're randomly selected). If they didn't want to go exactly that route I'd say give up to 200 scrap (enough to by one normal battlepack) for winning a round and up to 100 scrap for losing (half of a normal battlepack) and then give extra scrap based on performance (not to exceed a total of 350-400 scrap just so you can't continually get the best battlepack after every match). You can change these totals based on what game mode is being played (less for modes like TDM and Domination, more for Conquest and Operations (with Operations giving out the most due to the length of time some matches can last)) and drop those numbers if need be (I'm being somewhat generous here with my scrap totals, I'd be perfectly fine with 100 scrap for winning + whatever I get based on performance and 50 + performance based increase for losing). They can even keep their random battlepack reward system as well and tweak it to give battlepacks to those who actually perform their roles correctly/get recognized on the end of round screen (or scrap it entirely). This way everybody has a chance of at least getting a battlepack every week and a chance at those awesome skins. They could also put in a market place for old battlepack revisions to give people a chance at getting the skin they want from past revisions (or go one step further and sell the skins individually for more scrap so you actually have to earn them). Of course they'd have to tweak the puzzle piece system because this would break whatever system they have in place to award the puzzle pieces from battlepacks (I honestly don't know how they'd fix it). Honestly a lot of what was said in that video are great ideas the one I presented is going off the R6S model with my own tweaks. Something similar to what I just mentioned would be my ideal system if they don't want to go back to the old battlepack system from BF4 (which they should, it's not like that system broke BF4 in any way as it was the same system just with more items in a battlepack based on type).
  20. Since the BF1 servers were down yet again tonight (fucking christ DICE/EA, get your shit together) I finally beat the Tanker storyline of the campaign. I have to say if the other 5 are anything like it I'm in for a treat. This is by far one of the best campaign stories I've played for a BF game since the original Bad Company. Good lord that was fun as hell and the spark plug mission was great (I fucked with the Germans so hard it wasn't even funny).

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

The Tank and Pilot missions were both 5 sections, but the pilot mission probably was shorter since it was faster paced, with less boots on the ground. Hell, Lawrence of Arabia probably took me longer since I opted to stealth as much as possible. I'm going to have to go back and try to get some more codex, some of those skins you can get from SP are pretty sweet.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

The Lawrence one sounds like fun, can't wait to give it a try (maybe this weekend if I get time). I originally tried to do the spark plugs mission the stealthy way but sadly I ran out of silenced sniper rifle ammo and the Germans caught on quickly that someone was killing them. So I picked up a normal sniper and started killing them left and right, loud and proud. Sadly the AI wasn't exactly that smart as everyone in the area came looking for me (and one damn near killed me with a field gun). It took them 10 minutes to figure out I was wiping them out from one of the windmills which was when the field gunner decided to flatten it. After that I just ran around fucking with them until I got the last spark plug. So much fun though the Flame Trooper made things a little hairy.

I finished the campaign yesterday and I loved it. The tank and airplane missions were the definitely the best. :D

  21. Meh, I can name all the maps now but honestly the only ones I like are Monte Grappa and Argonne (though Ballroom Blitz is fun). My major problem with operations solo is that no one wants to work toward the goal, everyone is trying to do their own thing. At least with friends you know at least they're working toward the same goal as you. It's still enjoyable but if I'm going to play by myself I'm going to go Domination where I can do what I want, how I want, and still contribute to the team as long as I'm assaulting the flags and not feel like a jackass for not doing what the SL says. I really do with they'd bring back the ribbon system, god the amount of rank ups you can get from just ribbons is nice. Sadly I don't think they'll bring it back just for that reason (200 xp for a ribbon, 5000 for a medal wouldn't really cut it here). Assignments would be nice but I wouldn't want to go through all that work just for a weapon skin (kind of like how I don't give a rats ass if I get a battlepack anymore, it's not worth it if all I'm going to get is a random skin that I probably already have for a gun I'll probably never use). If they brought it back for weapons I'd be all for it (if it's not god awfully powerful weapons like the Deagle), maybe weapons that were historically correct for the time but very rare on the battlefield.
  22. It does need to be nerfed, that recharge time is insane for a weapon that powerful against groups of enemies. They just need to wait until I get my two multi-kills for the medal this week (I got the top 5 finish in a domination match tonight where I went complete ham with the Mondragon and my Med Crate, got a battlepack for it as well). After facing off against the Model 10 numerous times tonight and loosing I'm calling for a nerf on it. The gun is way to overpowered for what it is and has such a high killing range it's not even funny (I hate to say that too because shotguns never get any love and when they do shit like this happens, I'm sad that I have to call for a nerf on it). After playing Support last night I fully agree that LMG's need some damn love, they're just to shitty of a gun to play with making support the least picked class of them all (unless you're going mortar crazy). Honestly they need to go back to the LMG model from BF4 and tweak it just enough to make it believable for a gun from this time period (don't make them overly accurate but at least make them able to hit something) and, even though I think the BAR should be placed in Assault or Medic class weapons (technically it's the first Auto Rifle ever created if you think about it based on mag size and accuracy), they need too up the mag size for it. I now the 40 round mag was rare and only an AA variant but I honestly think it needs it since its honestly the only good gun Support has. I have to say, with the bugs, I love this game. While I'm still not entirely to hip with MP and how they're handling certain things (I'm just to used to and spoiled by BF4) the game is just a blast to play. I do, however, have to say operations are extremely boring without friends. If I'm playing by myself I'm going to be sticking to Domination as it's freaking fun as hell and is more enjoyable when you're by yourself. On the Supernatural thing, I'm not in any hurry to watch Season 12 honestly. I could of watched Season 11 while it aired but I choose to wait until Netflix gets it so I can just binge watch the hell out of it when they do. Honestly Season 11 has been good so far (I've got roughly 6 episodes left, give or take a few) but I'm getting sick of the biblical shit (the only appealing thing for this season is them going back to the monster of the week vibe for a few episodes which really sold me on the series to begin with). It was ok in season 4 and is just being over played now (there's only so many times I can watch the brothers get bitch slapped by angels and enjoy it, now Crowley bitch slapping them on the other hand is always enjoyable to watch (my favorite character from the series other then Charlie)) and by what I've read they're still continuing on that line in Season 12 (what with you know who coming back into the picture). Ok now that I've sidelined this enough back to you're regularly scheduled BF1 chat.
  23. What they need to do is just go back to the old system for battlepacks and give us one after every rank up or every other rank up because we're honestly not getting anything that changes the game in any way, just skins for our guns (that don't add stats or anything). I'd understand if what we were getting was game changing but honestly it isn't. That or they need to do what Sledge said and give us a proportionate amount of scrap at the end of each week or just a certain amount after every match we play (more for game modes like Operations that can go on for over an hour). DICE really dropped the ball with battlepacks this time and while I understand they want to go down the same road as CS did (Valve rakes in the dough with those cases, it's not even funny. Chaaboy himself blows at least $200 or so a week in cases) but it doesn't work for a game like this where these skins have no monetary value besides what you pay for battlepacks (whenever they finally implement it). I love Monster but due to my High-Blood pressure I can't drink them anymore (or very sparingly) so it sucks they went that route for battlepacks. Also I think the problem is on your end for our communication issues DX. The minute Sledge dropped from the party it said I couldn't chat with you due to NAT restrictions on your end (whatever that could but I don't know considering we were talking just fine yesterday and on Saturday without Sledge). I'll monkey with my settings tomorrow and see if it might be on my end. By the way I should be on all this week at roughly the same time (depending on when I get off of FFXIV, new patch drops this week and the last part of my Anima weapon questline drops so I might get absorbed in it), I decided that I'd hold off finishing Supernatural season 11 until next week/this weekend (I should hopefully get a 3-day weekend this week, I say hopefully because my boss is good at procrastinating and forcing us to work overtime on Fridays) since BF1 is scratching that FPS itch I didn't know I was having.
  24. I'm assuming they went with a beefier battery then that DX considering they're praising this thing for its portability. I'm going to guess you're looking at the average life of a high-end tablet maybe even laptop level (then again that ain't much, when my battery was new my laptop would get 3 hours unplugged if I wasn't gaming) so probably 3-4 hours of use with light to medium gaming. Maybe more if it has the same feature as my laptop and it downgrades graphics to conserve battery life (my laptop runs two video cards, a discreet card (my AMD Radeon) and the built-in one on the motherboard. It switches to the built in one while my laptop is running on battery to help conserve battery power (though I have it disabled, my on-board card cause major fucking issues when it switches)). Plus considering how much actual gaming you can do on a 3DS with it's 3D graphics (roughly 4-5 hours of continuous play) I'm assuming we might get that level of battery life (I mean this is the company that pioneered handheld consoles so I'm pretty damn sure they know what they're doing here). We'll know all once specs are released.
  25. I might of mocked it when it was a rumor but I'm honestly impressed with this console (the name on the other hand can go). Seriously, I might pick one up. I like the look of it, I like it's size, and honestly it looks like a damn good machine (and for once it has a backing of major publishers). Will I ever use the portable option? Most likely not, I own a 3DS and I have a phone if I get bored while out and about but the option to take this where I want is nice. While it might be a gimmick I can guarantee the portability option will be the main reason this console sells and depending on price I can see this selling very well (look at the Wii, the whole console was a gimmick yet it sold better then the PS3 and the 360). I have to say maybe Nintendo is starting to come back around or at least show us they still have some tricks up their sleeves.
