  1. You scored as a Lara Croft A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. She packs two Colt .45s and has no fear of jumping off buildings, exploring creepy tombs, or taking on evil meglomaniacs bent on world domination. 82% Lara Croft 79% Indiana Jones 67% James Bond, Agent 007 54% Maximus 50% Captain Jack Sparrow 42% William Wallace 42% The Amazing Spider-Man 42% Batman, the Dark Knight 38% The Terminator 33% Neo, the "One" 33% El Zorro
  2. The joys of having pets... wait a minute, I wouldn't know that since I can't have any pets since my husband is allergic to everything. Oh well. The kids make enough smells for me to live with
  3. It was good that he was able to do one more SG1 movie. He'll be missed.

    so hot...

The high temps I don't mind too much. It is when the humidity is high, like it always is here, that I hate going outside. Though lately, with all the rain here the temps have been in the mid 80s.
  5. by the way, did you watch my video? It didn't bitch about anything, but it had way cool fireworks! http://www.king5.com/video/?z=y&nvid=260646
  6. I think I understand why Mathias started a new thread on this. Only one person actually said Happy Independence Day. Everyone else went off on how messed up this country is. Happy July 4th and I hope everyone had a great weekend!
  7. Celebrate the past. For one day enjoy the country that you are living in and not worry about all the BS that is currently going on. We won the freedom from one type of tyranny and traded it for another. But for one day, just forget that and be happy that you have the right for a free nation. The right to bear arms, the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press... and so on. Other wise we could all be the worse off than we are now. Trust me, we may complain about tons of things but it could always be worse!!! Now Happy Belated 4th of July If you want to see really awesome fireworks, then you have to see Seattle's show. http://www.king5.com/video/?z=y&nvid=260646
  8. Like he knows any of the emotional states of pregnancy. I went easy on him with both of our kids. But he is right on backing up the evidence just in case. You don't want your husband to erase anything and then say that you made everything up. Good luck with everything. Keep us posted.
  9. The movie was entertaining. It was creepy at parts (the large ants) and hilarious at other times (the snake rope). I agree with the Mutt swinging on vines thing was a bit too much (after all it took Tarzan years to learn how to swing on vines like that). I like all the Indiana Jones movies. This one seemed to have more ancient history in it, the Mayan language, temples, and their 'gods'. I was not bored at all. One of my favorite parts was Mutt starting the fight between the greasers and the jocks. The jock's girlfriend was to one to punch Mutt, it was great. The chases was entertaining and funny at the same time, always wondering what Lucas has planed. Overall I was rather happy with it. The aliens were a bit far- fetched, but I will definitely buy the movie when it comes out.
  10. I love Dante's Inferno. True, the old english is difficult to understand, and I even have an english lit minor. The Inferno is the best of the three. Here are a few website that might help you understand what Dante is seeing and saying. Good luck with it. www.sparknotes.com/poetry/inferno/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divine_Comedy
  11. I think I had originally bought one of those when I first found out that I was pregnant. But then the dishwasher broke so I put it away. Now where is it? I'll have to find it again cause it will definitely help sanitize many of the smaller pieces. Thank you everyone.
  12. Andrew and I just bought a new dishwasher. The old one has been broken for the past five years and thus I have hand washed everything. We finally decided that we needed a new dishwasher. It came on Wednesday evening and my father and I installed it today. So my question is that I have a lot of children plastic wear (cups and bowls). Most of the items are Gerber brand. Are they safe on the top shelf of the dishwasher? With the cups, would the leak-proof valves be able to go into the dishwasher? I don't want my first experience with the new washer to end in melted plastic and a huge mess. Any advice?
  13. well... that is just stupid. So I guess the schools are saying that you can't 'grab' the kid's attention for 30 seconds and make them smile. Now really, who would believe a small slight of hand could be wizardly. Now if he made a feather float with a magic wand then I might question him... and ask how he did it...
  14. I think that you should be with your daughter at least part of the day. You are after all the one that gave birth to her. Tell your ex that you get her in the morning and then he can pick her up (or whatever) after lunch. That way you and she are together part time and your ex and still have time for her later. Just my opinion.
  15. well I guess that makes sense, large animal has large eyes.
  16. I've never heard of a colossal squid before. This is great. I love hearing about rare animals.
  17. That is a beautiful name. And yes, I thought of the Neverending Story boy when I first saw the name... When is your due date?
  18. Congrats! I had the boy first and then my girl and am perfectly happy with them. I don't want or think I can handle any more. Do you have any names picked out yet?
  19. very interesting, to think that snakes once had legs and evolved so that they became useless. I always love hearing about fossils being found and how different the creatures were to what we think about them now.
  20. http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs13/f/2007/077/2/e/Animator_vs__Animation_by_alanbecker.swf This site is very cute and funny. A must see for all computer 'nerds'. It's the revenge of the stick men! :battle:
  21. The beginning was boring but I enjoyed the ending and the little surprise of what might happen to Ming.
  22. Neat The ending did suck so I'm happy to see a movie coming out.
  23. Wow That is sad. I hope it wasn't suicide. He was a great actor, and I loved his accent.

Hi Wardog I love Civ 3 and 4 (never played 1 or 2). And I just completed Dungeon Seige.
  25. A wonderful gift from my husband and sister... a gift card to a day spa. I've been wanting to go for the past three years and I finally get to go. Husband even said that he would take care of the kids all day and that I should have lunch out with my sister. I am looking forward to a wonderful relaxing spa experience.
