Update: Ok, just got back from seeing it.  It was a LOT better than I thought it would be.  Highly entertaining and funny!  Totally worth seeing.  Oh, and no stinger, but be sure to stay through the credits to hear Batman's song.

There's actually two easy ways to beat Malak.  One is the mine the entire entry hallway, and when the fight starts, lure him down it.  He'll get down to the level where he starts draining the Jedi without you having to hit him.   Then, ignore him and run around the room using the droid disruption power (whatever it's called) and take all the capsules out.  Then, he can't regenerate.

And if you have the PC version, there's a console command you can enter that will turn him into a dancing Twi'lek when the fight starts.  You dance with him a minute, and the game ends with you winning.

KotOR2 is a great game, except for the ending.  You will probally be disapointed.  But up until then, it was really good!  Also, now that SWTOR is free to play, we should totally start an AC guild on a server!

It's totally worth it!  The 50th anniversy special was made of awesome!  It would only have been better if Christopher Eccleston had joined in.

Actually, I thought it was better.  Maybe because they didn't have to spend time on origin story and could really get to the meat of it.  There was a bit of deus ex machina in places, but Christopher Eccleston as the main villian?  Swweeeet!

Went to see it last night, and I gotta say, it was surprisngly good. It's still a kid's movie, but there was plenty there for those of us who played the older games, and it was different kind of story. Worth going to see if you're any kind of gamer.

HK is a great character!  He's just as hilarious in the second one, and apparently, shows up in TOR in one of the expansion packs.

The sand people always gave me trouble, so I didn't normally take HK with me at that point because his best weapons are blaster rifles, and you can't find good ones there.  But then, I tend to level up force lightning all the way, even playing light side, because running into a room and spamming chain lightning until everyone dies still makes me giggle like a school girl.

Silf and Ollie.  It's silly, weird, and has some bizarre characters, but it was always a fun show.

Lens flares can be impactful in the right places.  But I get the feeling JJ Abhrams had an overstock of flares and was trying to get rid of them.

When you do, I recommend downloading and learning to use TSLPatcher. There's a lot of mods that will include it, but if you have one that doesn't but has a .2da file in it, it's a TON eaiser to install.

That's the home of the good content restored mod. There's a couple others out there, but they were never finished. TSLRCM is not quite finished, but it's mostly in bug-fixing now, as well as working on the droid planet. Which you can play through, it's just a big sparse right now. Still, new location and things to kill and steal their stuff!

Has mods for KotOR and TSL. I've got a couple up there, though I never got around to finishing some others. The asthetic mods aren't always the best, but there are some really nice ones. I also recommedn RedHawke's Ord Mandel, it's a good mod and quest for KotOR. If you decide you want my list of favorites, I'll send it to you.

Just got back and it's totally worth seeing! Not quite as good as Pitch Black, but still a good movie. It was also not a rehash of Pitch Black, which I apprecated. There were some elements that were familar, but it's Riddick and "friends" trapped on a hostile alien world, so yeah, there are some familar things. Still, it's a good movie on it's own. I liked the structure of the story and they did a great job with atmosphere. Totally worth seeing in the theater.

I saw it last night and enjoyed it. Yeah, Mother Russia's fight with the cops was awesome! The stinger wasn't really worth sitting through the credits for, though.
And from what I understand, the comics tend to be darker than the movies were, just because the author likes dark, somewhat distrubing storylines.

Everyone plays differently. The first run through, I did the full melee Jedi, so I usually had Carth and either Mission or Jolee. Bastilla too, but I liked Jolee better in terms of what he can do. He's also the cranky old man Jedi and that's just awesome. (Make sure you keep talking to him so he'll tell you stories. I laughed so hard at some of them!) Anyhoo, it's always good to have at least one blaster in the party, and if you keep Carth leveled up and give him the best blasters, he's going to be the best at it. Mission does pretty good with blasters, and she's near essential if you're not going to level up demolition or slicing, but she's pretty weak and can go down quickly if you're not careful. Now, I actually prefered to go through as a blaster Jedi. I thought it was a lot more challenging, and then my party had to include either Bastilla or Juhani for melee. Really, just think about your fighting style and make sure you have at least one melee and one blaster in the party. And SOMEONE that can heal, either it's you or one of the other Jedi. Seriously, that will make things easier in some of the tougher fights! As for grenades, I only used them in a few spots. Mostly, if I was in a fight that was really tough and I had to restart it, when the fight started, I would pause and fill everyone's bar with grenades, and the procede as normal. Lobbing 12 grenades at the baddie right of the bat can be helpful! I didn't really use traps, either, except at the end which would be a spoiler so if you get there and want to know about it, I'll tell you. I really didn't micromange hardly at all. Setting a behaivor type for each member is really all you need to do. The AI isn't always the best, but most of the time it's good enough you shouldn't have to micromanage them. Keep an eye on their health, because they kinda suck at watching their own health, but a quick character change to heal them is all that's needed.
For Force powers, even if I was light side, I still took all the Force Lightening tree powers. That's probally the most useful offensive power in the game (at least, IMO). Plus, running down a hallway spawning Lightening Storm and killing everything in my path just makes me giggle like a schoolgirl. But pick what you want now, because you can't level past 20.
And when you've finished it, there are some pretty good mods out there you can download, including a few story mods. It's not as extensive a community as Oblivion or Skyrim, but there are some good stuff out there. Makes multiple play-throughs more interesting to me.

Yeah, Bastila could be very entertaining. Make sure you have her and the Twilik-what's-her-name in the same party for a while. That ends up just being funny.
As for which class, I usually ended up with Guardian. Heavy melee fighter, and the the Force Jump is just awesome! Make sure to explore every part of all the planets, there's some interesting side quests here and there.
