Interesting tidbits. Elite Specs will use the game HP structure to unlock, but it seems they reshuffled the order of unlocks so you get your GM traits faster. Mounts cancel out fall damage completely, I guess this is to supplement PoF only accounts that don't get gliding. The leaked Griffon mount is a LWS4 mount. Try not to want to barf at all the Weaver gushing.
Ok the possible Zephyrites area has me super hyped. It would be cool to have a full circle moment from Four Winds into Season 2.

This must be for Raid Scourge because...
So Barrier's max value scales on the targets vitality, but the amount that can be applied can increase based on the Scourge's healing power, and apparently Ele's earth attunement is also getting barrier in the rebalance... because Necro can't have anything special to itself.

I watched WP video again and realized he didn't even touch Soulbeast, Holosmith, or Firebrand. WTF Maybe if he wouldn't have spent so much time on Weaver he could have fit everyone else in. Peachy played around with all the specs, but the skill bar is cut off on the bottom X_X I guess I'll have to wait until anet shows the damn things to get more details. but the Firebrand animations are insane, and the AoEs are ridiculously massive.
    Edit: Some redditing going on.

I guess I should post the Season 1 trailer.

Wow a trailer for just an arc. Well this season already has more episodes than AoT S2. The first part focused on the Sports Festival Tournament. I really like how this series paced it. All the fights were pretty short and to the point. Two or three minor character matches fit into one episode. No lengthy conversations or life story flashbacks just to extend the scene. There were some flashbacks, but they were short and to the point and often occurred at the end of a match when someone was getting knocked out, rather than mid fight causing a spectacular second wind. (There is no power of friendship here! ) This series has a great balance of Action/Comedy/Feels. Even though its a "school anime" its not really a school since they are constantly training and all the teachers are professional super heroes. To me, it deserves all the hype and accolades its getting. The quality of animation its extremely good along with the music.

Huh.  There were subs, the languages used were English, Mandarin, and Indian.  Which was really weird, but kinda cool.

Edit: so, just out of curiosity, checked it out on amazon, and there's a review at the top saying yes, it does have captions, but amazon changed how their player works right before it came out, and since they didn't let anyone know about the new controls, people aren't finding the captions.

As I said they were barely in it so I'm not surprised you didn't know they were there, which sucks because every member of Section 9 is a major part of the team and a major part of the stories (not so much in the original movie or the 2nd movie but they all play major rolls in SAC and 2nd Gig).
I kinda figured this would be an origin movie going in and that's why I said they'd most likely be making another one (than again this movie didn't get a good score on Rotten Tomatoes so who knows, seems Hollywood is actually taking those ratings a little more seriously lately). As I said someone not familiar or overly into the source material/franchise would like this movie. It's probably not a movie you'll re-watch multiple times (like Star Wars and what not) but one you can enjoy at least once (I only say that because I'm currently re-watching SAC again and I'm finding even more problems with the movie, I won't list them but yea).

They still do have Xur articles every Friday. I think he sold Monte Carlo last week. If I was the Dev, I'd ad 2 more turbines to each level and speed them up by 50%.

Ok so I finally watched this and I'll give my thoughts on it (because I know everyone wants to hear them (yea I know you don't)) but be forewarned I have some major issues with this movie. I will point out that I did not hate this movie, as an action/sci-fi movie it's pretty damn good and the visuals are fucking amazing (some of the best cg I've seen in a long time, damn did they do a good job on it). The soundtrack is also pretty damn amazing, has hints of music from the original animated movie in their. Now anyways lets get on with what I thought (from now on things will be in spoilers, read if you wish too but I'm doing this for those who don't want anything ruined).
    The Bad:
    The Good:
Again I didn't hate this movie but as a self-respecting GitS fan I cannot call it a welcome addition to the franchise. It's a good action/sci-fi flick and I recommend giving it a watch if you're not a huge fan of the franchise (and by that I mean like me, if you have a passing interest in the series give it a watch but you'll be sorely disappointed in it if you're a die hard fan). The only thing I fear though is what this means for a Gunm/Battle Angel Alita adaptation (it's in the works but considering how much they butchered the source material for this movie I fear what they'll do with BAA).

So, just FYI.  It's already out on Prime, and the DVD/BlueRay comes out Aug. 8.  You know, in case you're curious.

I feel like the season finale fell really flat. None of the issues have been resolved and there really wasn't a shocking revelation at the end that put that wow factor going into the expac like when it was revealed that the Sylvari were dragonspawn.
I'm still hyped for the expac, but damn the last ep was disappointing overall.
On the flip side, the new fractal is spectacular. But I bet everyone will avoid it after a while. Its longer than Cliffside, and you can't just run through it because it consists mostly of 3 somewhat lengthy boss fights. There is a cool low gravity area with some jumps and some neat puzzles that introduce you to some of the new mechanics before you need to use them, I can see people raging in higher tiers when people get lost in these areas.

Out of all the avengers that have multiple films, the Thor movies bring in the least amount of money. Only the first Captain America film and The Incredible Hulk did worse than the Thor films. Cap 2 and 3, All the Iron Man films, Guardians, 2 generations of Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Multiple X-Men films both good and bad ones, Deadpool, and even Big Hero 6 did better at the box office. X_X Ant-Man finished with $200k less, and outside of that Cap and Hulk movie, the rest of the Marvel films below Thor are some of their absolute worst (Ghost Rider, Daredevil/Electra, and all the Fantastic Four films).
I guess they are trying to spruce it up with comedy.... hopefully they don't go too far. I'm not a firm believer in the wisdom that comedic relief makes a movie better.

Because its the trailer and they don't want to give it away I guess... Sometimes that irritates me... because you want to see it, but people that never watched Death Note, which will be a good portion of the audience, need the surprise. This same thing is going to irritate me about the new Godzilla movie trailers. They wont show Ghidorah outside of maybe a wing or his feet, even though we all know he's a 3 headed monster.
I rather have an ugly as hell actor that does it right, than someone that looks the part and sucks. My main concern is L. He's way too emotional in the trailer... I mean its silly his face is covered the whole time, so instead of looking like a crazy genius when he sits in a chair on his feet, he just looks like a wannabe ninja. I get that its to portray to the audience hes keeping his identity a secret from light... but still. I don't like how they are doing it. It's one of those things where the producers think westerners are too stupid to understand.

Initial thoughts, meh. I pretty much got what I was expecting from this, a lot of what we've already seen gameplay wise with minor tweaks to enemy A.I., weapons, and class adjustments. Don't get me wrong the opening story mission is pretty epic in its own way and can be challenging at certain points but the Cabal felt like the Cabal from D1, I noticed no real difficulty change. New Cabal types did throw me off a bit until I learned how they fought but overall it felt like I was fighting the same Cabal I tangled with on Mars. I do like how enemies will charge at you with a melee weapon now when you're in close proximity, made going for those melee kills a little more risky (as a Hunter anyways, I still need to try Warlock (I won't be trying Titan as I have no interest in the class)). Overall its a nice change to actually see a story at play here and knowing what this faction of Cabal's aim was, instead of fighting enemies that have no real drive only to be set pieces for a strike or fodder for daily bounty grinding. I did try out the strike but sadly I was placed in at the end against the final boss so I didn't actually get to experience the full thing but as DX points out he's an HP sponge and the weapons they give you barely do any damage so it's tedious (fun, I like some of the mechanics but tedious none-the-less). I plan on running it again tomorrow to, hopefully, get the full experience so I can give my thoughts on it. I have no want to play Crucible since they went 4v4 so you won't be getting any thoughts on that.
As for Hunters, the class as a whole hasn't changed any since D1 (Gunslinger wise, I don't know about Arcstrider). Outside of loosing some of our options in the gunslinger sub-class menu and gaining some new/tweaked ones it pretty much felt the same and I felt completely at home while playing (though I had to brush off the initial rust form not playing in over a year). I'm not entirely happy about the Golden Gun changes, while six shots is nice and it will one shot normal enemies I don't like how it feels weaker against stronger foes (not like 3 shots was any better) where in some cases it'll take 2-3 shots to kill them (the harpies on the final boss battle in the strike are 2 shots, which sucks since clearing out trash is kind of key to winning that fight). I like the dodge reload option, comes in handy when you're in a pinch and need more ammo (especially when you're using a Hand Cannon). Grenade options are still your standard fair and tripmines are still the way to go (imo, I didn't actually try out the other grenade types but they're exactly the same from D1). Overall Gunslinger Hunters will feel right at home with the class, it's the same from D1 with some minor tweaks (some good, some bad). It'd be nice to get a chance to use those bottom options in the third section of abilities so I could give a more complete review but for now this is what I got. Oh yea, Sunshot is a fucking beast of an exotic and I see it getting a nerf come release. That Hand Cannon is way to powerful for what it is.
Overall I'm not really impressed with D2 as it stands now. Granted this is a beta (and compared to D1's alpha and beta a pretty poor one) and an extremely short one at that I still don't see myself buying this. Is it fun? Yes but so was D1 up until you got to max level and had to start endlessly grinding for better loot you weren't always guaranteed to get. Unless there is some fundamental change to how endgame works in D2 I see this game suffering from the same problems D1 suffered from. Though I doubt my I'll change my mind I will be playing again tomorrow to actually do the full strike and try out Warlock and the Arcstrider sub-class so I'll most likely have more to say then.
