Sledgstone reacted to Myk JL in Humble Bundle - WB Games
If they ever did rely on Humble Bundle to sell you nothing but DLC in the future while the Humble Store had the game those would be the Humble Bundles I'd pass on. Maybe Saints Row DLC but even then I'd be annoyed by the fact I already bought the Season Pass on SR3s DLC.

The Irony of Humble Bundle no longer being Humble.

    *Edit*
I feel extremely dense.... Probably because Humble Bundle finally told me I couldn't have the Batman Arkham Origins DLC after switching web browsers since I didn't own Batman Arkham Origins. So, yeah I'm never ever going to redeem that. And even if I could there would be no point since by then I'd own the GOTY Edition.

Sledgstone got a reaction from DeathscytheX in Next Gen Smart Phone Tech - Unbreakable Flexible Screens and Gesture Control
Here is a video of Samsung's flexible screen tech from 2 years ago. Samsung, Sony and LG will all have flexible screens soon. This video was made before LG's flexible battery tech. Because there were no flexible batteries, there had to be a solid piece of the phone. Now the entire thing can be potentially flexible.

With how thin the screens can be, it might only be a matter of time before we have tablets that are the size of a standard 12 inch ruler that have screens that can be pulled / rolled out into full size.

    Source:  Dailymail

The next interesting part is gesture control. All hands free control using ultrasound.

Combine these two techs and we'll have the next gen cell phones, tablets, laptops, TVs of the future.

    Source: Bitrebels

The flexible screen tech got me thinking.. they could make clothing out of those screens. Imagine a camouflage suit made out of this display technology. With the proper use of numerous mini cameras the screens could display your surroundings all over the suit and blend you completely into any location.

Also, with screens that thin.. once they make them bigger and higher resolution, future TVs could be sold rolled up. Apply some double sided tape to your wall, unroll the tv and stick the screen in place. And with gesture control, we wouldn't need a camera built into the TV for smart app features.

Today Sony released a viral video teasing possible Street Fighter content on PS4. There is no word whether this will be a brand new title or just a port of the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter 4 release. Either way, it is an amusing retro homage.

Went to see it last night, and I gotta say, it was surprisngly good. It's still a kid's movie, but there was plenty there for those of us who played the older games, and it was different kind of story. Worth going to see if you're any kind of gamer.

A lot of people are bitching its going to be PG-13... seriously... things that were rated R in the 80s and 90s are PG-13 today and it doesn't really enhance the movie any more or less based on these two ratings. The original had nudity in it... the new one wont but all the violence will be intact and that's what everyone cares about. People can be so ignorant. R rated films are reserved for heavy sexual themes and horror flicks with excessive gore. What excessive gore is now is way more extreme than back then.

I forgot about that. The ISS is low orbit.. but even when I try to catch a glimpse of it in the sky at night, its always just below the tree line for me. NASA had a good page showing its flight path, but I haven't looked at it in a long time.

l think I had some Gundam Wing on my mind when I was thinking about large space construction. They made those colonies in the Lagrange points so they wouldn't have to worry about a degrading orbit. If NASA chose one of those locations, it'd probably make their construction easier.

I suppose we are the only ones discussing this, oh well, we can stop. Yay science!

Most of asia is low on women. They place far too much preference on males for cultural, manual labor and religious reasons.. gender selected artificial insemination and gender specific abortions push the gender gap even further. Instead of a nice diversified group of space travelers, we'll have a sausage fest up in space.

Yea it is a problem, the only way I can think of would be a magnet, but I don't have any clue if that would even be possible. The debris would probably go right through the magnet. The magnet would probably mess with their instruments and other satellites too, so I guess the plan for now is to just wait and hope they fall back to earth to burn up in the atmosphere.

Even the space station needs thruster to control and maintain it's orbit.

On a side note, I don't know if this is true, (I would imagine it is) but I heard some satellites are equipped with thrusters for dodging and avoiding debris. Pretty interesting stuff, I've always been a big SCI-FI fan and reading up on this stuff kinda fuels that lol

Anyway I think this post has turned into a private conversation so this will be my last post.

Its probably a good thing they didn't increase the amount of players.. The Xbox One version would have probably dropped down to 480p if it was 10 vs. 10.

LOL. MW2 10th prestige hack works on Ghosts? Wow.... they are still just leeching off Respawn's infrastructure they left behind.

On another note here is the diff between 360/PS3 and PS4.... The 3 things I can take away from this is while the graphics haven't improved much texture-wise:

    1. The lighting is superior in every way
    2. More is going on with the environment such as more rubble for the crumbling tower and the vegetation swaying in the wind.
    3. The colors are way more vibrant on next gen.

btw... the PS3 version looks the worst... its like a night lens is on the camera at all times. wtf?

Good post. Interesting about how big a 3D printer like that could be. But with the U.S. improving it's rockets to carry massive payloads weighing 70-140 metric tons, it should be possible for them to get space worthy versions into orbit.

You're right about robots not being able to repair on their own. I don't think autonomous repairing droids will be happening anytime soon, but if those robots were drone styled, they could potentially be controlled by a human to perform the repairs necessary and correctly.

That's the only way to get anywhere with space travel. The ships that would be required for space travel would be way too large to take off from the surface. I don't think this tech is quite there yet. Don't get me wrong, the printers are there, there's a place near me that has one that the military uses. I went to see it for work, couldn't see it, classified BS, but he said most 3D printers, once it prints something, you have to file off the imperfections. However with the one they have, he said it's ready for use as soon as it comes out, nothing it wasted and it can print in almost any material, metals included. Pretty cool stuff, too bad I couldn't see it. Anyway he said it was a massive machine, had to be to be able to print in so many materials. So I think it would be difficult to get one to space, but not impossible, but I don't think the robots are quite there yet. I mean does NASA even have any robots that can make repairs unattended? Give it a 3D printer, if it messes up, it could be life or death, just like those cars that can brake on it's own, very dangerous if the computer malfunctions.

The more I think about it, the PS4 userbase is going to depend on how many halo players get an PS4 instead of staying on their home platform. Halo's userbase is what you'd expect from COD... a bunch of Douchebagimus Primes ready to tea bag you corpse and take all your stuff while tossing in a couple homophobic slurs. Hopefully they stay on XB1. The reason the SWTOR community is different is because we're all a bunch of nerds that love Star Wars, and a lot of these people go to conventions and what not... Star Wars fans in general have a comradery over the love of the Universe.
