Merry Christmas guys! 
 
Did Santa write any Thank You notes when you left him milk and cookies ?? He didn't the cookie I left him *sigh* ... last night was fun - I went to a 10 PM mass for the first time cos I wanted to listen to carols and listen to the piano/ organs within those walls, cos I always imagined the sound to feel epic. There was a lot of standing and sitting, not good for old people or people in general with knee or health problems *nod nod*. The main priest sang a lot, made me wonder "Do priests have to sing all the time? What if he can't sing?" So it was a pretty interesting time for me. I was looking forward to grabbing a mix of Strawberry and Vanilla ice cream from a Baskin Robins around the corner though, in 20 degree weather, perfect. 
 
What presents did ya get?!!
 
I got a wind-breaker jacket, 4 pairs of socks and an awesome tee. At work a colleague gave me a hideous big ball that changes colors every few seconds, gives me a headache but she thought it would add color to my life, very sweet but headache inducing none the less. Mum n Dad sent me a big box of my favorite hand soap and spicy banana chips full of YUM.

Dumb season, I expected the ending ... Daryl dies, the series dies because of all the middle-aged fangirls. They gave him the loudest cheers at the Comic-con panel I was at.

Looks like people are starting to get tired of buying the same game.

I'm not seeing what the big fuss is over the campaign being terrible. Its a lot better than 3's... its just frustrating at times.
There is one mission where you are in a tank, enemy tanks bust out of buildings behind you and can kill you while you're focused on AT soldiers or another tank.. so its one of those redundant, die, prepare for where the hidden tanks comes out from, die again and start all over and prepare for the first and second. die again, and start over. eventually you get to a check point where you get one tank and a BTR to try to take out 6-7 other tanks all trying to kill you at once... The game has ammo/equipment change stations ever 10 feet it seems because you never get enough ammo to make it though a mission. It takes way more bullets to kill someone than it does in multiplayer to make matters worse.
Back to the tank mission. I ended up having to damage a tank with my tank, jump out before my tank blew up and finish off the other tank with an rpg. I then had to run back to the ammo station, get more rockets and repeat. It takes 2 tank shells to kill a BTR and 4 for another tank, it takes 4 to kill your tank, sometimes 3. So its impossible to defeat all the armored vehicles with your two, not to mention as soon you try to run for the other one, you're getting lit up by 2 tanks. It was stupid I had to resort to an infinite RPG rocket cheap trick to pass this part of the mission, and RPGs don't act the same, the arc is huge, and i found my rockets going clear over the tanks unless i shot them from point blank.
Outside of this frustrating mission, the story is interesting so far. There are plenty of over the top moments, and more unrealistic unsurvivable falls and crashes than COD could ever dream of. The unlocks for multiplayer make it a desirable play through as well. The M412 Rex is unlocked in the first mission... with a damage of 65 for a pistol. Its worth at least booting up the campaign and playing the first 15.min.

Yeah... The FAMAS is ridiculous. The Scar has a damage of 40 with a fire rate of 600, The FAMAS has a damage of 30, but its fire rate is 1000. Its VERY unstable because of the muzzle climb and it eats through the mag crazy fast... but seeing as I reload often, the fact that this thing annihilates anyone in front of you in half a second makes it worth it. I already have the grip for it... I unlocked the laser and RDS in this round alone. Once I have a more stable build for it, I'm anxious to see how much more I can dominate with it.

I'm going to assume similar, there will always be differences but now that console hardware is starting to get closer and closer to high end computer specs it'll be hard to tell. I can't go into much due to the NDR from the closed beta but graphics wise the current version of the beta looks exactly like Skyrim from what I could tell with a 3 year old laptop and a non-functional graphics card (using my on-board as my Radeon was disabled due to blue screen errors, which is now fixed (the on board runs at about a quarter of the specs of my Radeon)). Mind you this would be stock Skyrim, not modded Skyrim with all those fancy HD texture packs. Of course running it at as low as I had too it could look much better, won't know until I get another invite for the next beta weekend (if I do).

Looks relatively interesting and even if it does suck I'll get to stare at Mila Kunis so I really can't lose.

There is a mysterious assignment on Battlefield 4 called "Phantom Prospect" which leads to speculation about a possible Megalodon easter egg on Paracel Storm. I unlocked this assignment tonight, but I haven't seen any Megalodons or dinosaurs yet. Thanks to jackfrags for this video.

The original 1954 film had the military defeat Godzilla 0_o. All Godzilla films had emphasis on humans. In fact there were many human or "space aliens" that looked like humans that tried to kill Godzilla via machine or alien beast. The Comic-Con trailer showed dead monsters and Toho had a lot of say in this film.
 
I'm banking on Godzilla reprising his role as Anti-Hero. He wrecks shit as he pleases... but if some other monster wants to wreck shit, Godzilla is gonna put a stop to that. The military will have its classic "shoot everything we got at him" to no avail, and scientists will babble on about crazy ways to defeat him via flawed science. In the end all other monsters die and Godzilla returns to the ocean, or they some how throw him in a volcano again.
 
Its going to be a cliche Godzilla film with nothing new to offer other than awesome special effects... and I'm ok with that. Not really expecting an Oscar performance, I'm just happy to see Godzilla... looking like Godzilla, destroying cities.

Here is the first official trailer for Godzilla! A few months ago some of us got a look at the 2 year old comic-con trailer that has never been seen by those outside of the event. It was quickly pulled by Warner Brothers on any media outlet it could have been found on. This trailer is slightly different. Godzilla will be out May of 2014!
