  1. Interesting. I find that a bit whacky on Sony's part. Their online store is horrible now ever since they revamped it for the PS5. But even before the website changes, whenever I had a free ps+ game it never gives me the option to buy it digital again. It just says "download from library." So if someone gets the ps4 free version of FF7 but then the digital version goes on sale for $30 or less with the free ps5 upgrade, they are now locked out from buying it and their only option to get the ps5 version is to now buy the ps5 version at full price. Seems like a dick move by Sony to get more money out of people.

they somehow fight without a maintenance crew to maintain it after each battle? XD

I was thinking that same thing. XD they would need a serious crew for repairs, engineers for replacement parts, resources to feed those people, etc. Maybe they're pulling a Netflix godzilla anime move with how they did with their version of mechagodzilla. "It's nano machines and it'll repair itself with raw materials from the soil." Super lazy writing if that's the case. XD

  3. HBO announced they have cast Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie. As long as Pedro grows out a good looking full beard I could see him playing the part. He should bulk up a bit though to really fit the part.

HBO has found its Joel and Ellie for the upcoming television series based on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. Pedro Pascal, star of Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian, and Bella Ramsey, best known for her role as Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones, will co-star in The Last of Us as Joel and Ellie, respectively. The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline first reported the news.

  4. That sucks that they're getting reactions from the vaccines. I wonder if they're getting the same one my doctors and dentists offices are getting. I had a virtual appt with my doctor a couple weeks ago and he said him and all the other doctors and staff all got their first doses a few weeks before my appointment and nobody had any side effects. Same with my dentist. I'll have to ask them what vaccine they got. I'll see about getting that one myself.

  5. Almost all hdcp errors I've ever come across is because of the hdmi cable. Different hdmi cables are all different versions, they all look the same and none of them say what kind of hdmi cable they are printed on the actual cables. Kind of aggravating to me. I test hdmi cables with my ps4. I'll plug the ps4 into the TV with one cable, check to see if I can turn on HDR, if it works that cable is at least a hdmi 2 cable.

If you need a new cable I highly recommend bluerigger. It's the only one I'll buy anymore.

    My Samsung is a 6 series. UN50NU6900B

  6. What do you need 3 tvs in a single room for? 🤔 XD

I'd like to upgrade from the 50 in my living room to a 60 or 65 but I'd also have to wall mount it and get it delivered because any TV that big would never fit in my car. I like my Samsung TV but the particular one I have has a slight sound delay issue that annoyed me. I got used to it after a while but if I actively paid attention I could see the delay in the lip sync but it was more noticeablewith my old surround sound. The TV speakers still did it but not as bad. Ever since I bought a new receiver to get my surround sound working again all my devices connect the hdmi directly to the receiver and there is no audio delay anymore since the TV doesn't produce sound anymore.

  7. Almost a year later because of covid... Vikings was sold from History channel to Amazon and Amazon Prime has the last half of the final season. I finished it last night. Great series. I loved this show.

    Spoiler

I'm glad Bjorn didn't die in that battle with Ivar and in the end he definitely died like a legend. The Rus battles were great, but when Ubbe made it to North America I was way more interested in that plot line than anything else with Wessex at that point.  And to top it all off, to end the series with Floki.. :crywithno:

The show definitely hit its peak back in the day with Ragnar, but Lagertha and Bjorn really carried this series till the end. In the final half of the last season, Ubbe, Ivar and Hvitserk really shined as main characters. And by the final episode it definitely felt like the end of the age of the Vikings.

  8. Ah your picture isn't loading. I think I know who you're talking about tho.

    Spoiler

    That HOOONK was great. XD

Speaking of wanting something better for the kids.. at one point Daniel says to the wife, "I haven't spent enough time with Sam lately, I need to change that"... meanwhile his son was in 1 scene the entire season and they never showed him again. I think it's safe to say who the favorite kid is. XD technically the brother should have been home during that giant battle.. instead he probably ran away at some point and nobody noticed or even cared. XD He doesn't do karate, screw him. XD

I'm glad Allie was in the season. They all got closure with minimal drama. XD

  9. This show was awesome and its dubbed really good. Its a South Korean horror drama and its really amazing. The cg, special effects, acting, characters, etc. was all really good. I highly recommend watching it. What I really liked is that it is a unique apocalypse and not another zombie show. My only problem is I had the hardest time remembering everyones names, but thats probably just me because I'm not used to Korean names. x_x I really hope they make a season 2 because the ending was great.

  10. Season 3 was good. Seemed a bit oddly paced at times with random time skips. I'm guessing thats to try to compensate for covid and the kids growing up faster than the show.

    Spoiler

Overall another good season, it wasn't as good as the first 2, but it was still alot of fun and full of random drama that wasn't realistic. XD Miguel healing up during the time skips was a good choice so they could get him back up an moving for another karate showdown. lol. I think they're building the show up for one final season. And how the hell can all those kids break into Danny's house/trespass, start a giant fight, break a shit ton of his stuff and instead of calling the cops he goes to Cobra Kai to fight Kreese? Really? He has a mansion house with a private dojo and not a single ring camera/security that he could have bought off amazon to turn evidence over to the police? All those kids should already be arrested and in juvee not preparing for a karate tournament to settle things.

  11. A friend of Lady's that works in healthcare got her first dose of one of the covid vaccines yesterday. So far shes had no reactions to it which is good. Also, that same woman that got the vaccine lost her mother in law to covid. Some of the local stores around a 8 minute drive from my house have been closing up with no details. An Ollies bargain outlet sent me an email about being closed until further notice. People are saying they don't have enough staff to keep open because so many have covid.

Edit: I forgot to say that same Ollies is basically right across the street from the company my friend works at. He got covid and has been sick for a while but he seems to be doing alot better now. Took about 2 weeks for it to run its course through him. I'll probably see him this weekend to hang outside with him for a while.. while wearing masks and keeping some distance.

  12. I remember back when alot of people called Obama "King Obama" and were worried he'd never leave office and would come in the middle of the night to take everyone's rights and guns away... and when it came time for a transfer of power there was no issue whatsoever.. and the last couple years people were saying Trump is showing all the signs of a potential dictator.. and now the world is looking at us like we need help and they pity us.

I wonder if he'll start a war in the next couple weeks while he still has power just to burn the whole country down on his way out.

My prediction for 2021 at this point is nothing gets done except a new stimulus. A bunch of executive orders get issued to probably override Trump's executive orders. GOP retains the senate and stonewalls anything Biden plans on doing. Biden goes down in history for president with highest national debt ever because he'll inherit that from Trump and pass a stimulus on top of that. Now that republicans aren't in power the national debt will be a major campaigning issue that they endlessly talk about. And if Biden lives to re-election time he needs to step down because I will not vote for any 80 year old.

I was wrong with this prediction. I never thought the democrats would have gotten the senate too.

We heard "lock her up" about Hillary Clinton for years in regards to Benghazi and the 4 deaths there.. I wonder if we'll hear the same about Trump considering he incited people to march to the capitol as a show of force an hour before it happened and 4 people died as a result.

  13. Well, the Playstation app was giving me crap earlier, so I added the free games through their website:

Turns out you can also get a free Tiger skin evolution dlc for Maneater with this link.. which for some reason isn't shown as dlc from the actual Maneater store page:

  14. Lmao! I almost ate a McRib yesterday but I remembered banquet frozen rib meat tastes better. XD

I'll miss that subway teriyaki chicken with sweet onion sauce... but there's another location right in the Walmart I shop at if I get desperate for a sub. XD

I also forgot to say... my friend and his 1 year old son both got covid. The baby had a fever for a couple days and was fine. But my friend had some high fevers that came and went over 1.5 weeks and the first 3 days he said everything tasted off, but by the end of the week he had no sense of taste at all. It's been almost 2 weeks and he's doing better now.

  15. I checked my bank account this morning and me and lady both got our $600 stimuluses as of today. The system in place for depositing stimulus money from last time must have all the bugs worked out because thats a hell of alot faster money deposit than last time.

The subway near my house permanently closed. :( They definitely stayed closed way to long with covid initially hit. When all the restaurants re-opened that location stayed closed for an extra handful of months for some reason before finally opening back up. Too little too late. That building is completely vacant now. I found a link on syracuse.com with permanent closings of different restaurants in the surrounding area.

  16. Shadow of the tomb raider was a beautiful game. It wasn't as good as the first 2, not as much combat and hunting sucked, but it was decent. You don't need to play the first 2 games to get into it since the game catches you up pretty quick. It's a good game for exploring and doing non combat tomb puzzle challenges.

  17. It was a fun movie. The first one was definitely much better. I liked the colors of her new armor because the more vibrant colors went well with all the colors of the 80s, but it doesn't actually look like armor anymore compared to the first movie, especially her boots. I watched it on Christmas, and now that its been a few days it got me wondering what the point of the flashback to Themyscira was about at the beginning of the movie. I don't see how any of that tied into the plot. Although it was awesome to see Hippolyta in her armor again. What really surprised me was Kristen Wiig, she played a great character.

    Spoiler

I didn't get the wish guy's overall motive.. he just starts spiraling out of control and eventually wanted to give everyone everything to give him self power and make himself live forever I guess? After he gives everyone wishes in bulk the world over there would be no more ways for him to manipulate his powers and in the end he was going to just live forever like a highlander roaming the now screwed over world because he would have completely destroyed everything. I'm guessing thats the monkey paw aspect of the wishes, he'd get his power and lifespan, but there would be no one to enjoy it with since everyone would be nuked and his kid would be dead. What I don't get is he somehow knew the crystal was real, and somehow did the research and found out about the wish crystal to begin with.. and I'm guessing he was the one who hired those thieves at the beginning of the movie to steal it initially? Maybe I missed some of these connections or maybe it was just plot holes. I don't know.

Overall it was a fun movie, the action was great and Gal Gadot looks beautiful in costume and is a bad ass Wonder Woman. The first movie had much better writing and more cohesive plot.
