  1. The introduction of the Ori in the last season annoyed me too. Too much of religious overtone and the plot was lacking. The entire season was: "Look out, the Ori are coming!" I'm just glad the Ori finally arrived. Hopefully this will lead to some good battles and nifty new Ori weapons.. Daniel had an Ori armor suit on that looked pretty interesting.

I'll admit the fighting in the Atlantis episode was pretty good. And for a minute there it looked like that one hive ship was going to make it to Earth after all.. and wouldn't it have been something if the Hive ship, upon entering the galaxy came across one of the Ori battles? O_O and then maybe a couple cross over episodes? ^____^

the next episode of SG1 looks like they're going to be dealing with another Ori plague or something, while Atlantis looks like an all out war. I just wish they'd fix the characters/character plot holes up in Atlantis, because the show could become pretty solid.

It makes me wonder what the third series will be like...

  2. Well, with franky destroying the blueprints, all thats left is Robin. The way they did the whole robin backstory and how everything is coming together with her being taken past the gates of justice.. I have a feeling Robin may not come out of this alive..

  3. That was pretty wierd too.. she kept having visions.. the merry engulfed in blue flames, running along side the sea train.. wtf. O_O I wonder if its just stuff being thrown into the show, or if the manga author is throwing a little easter egg at us through the anime.

  4. SG1 is finally starting to get good! The last season felt so long and boring leading up to this.. I just hope they keep the momentum up.

    Atlantis just keeps getting worse. They lost the ancient ship after it did an amazing attack, but if they can actually keep there hands on a wraith hive ship.. hell that could be a good trade. What I still don't get is why they would always be concerned about their amount of drones? why wouldn't a f*cking "city of the ancients" have a single facility for creating more drones through an automated process? and to top it off, they have an entire ancient database at their disposal but they can't google the blasted thing with something like: "drone, manufacturing" -_-;

Why would they leave Weir in charge of anything anymore? Especially when it involves treaties with enemies, exchange of technology, weapons manufacturing (wraith>human gas), etc. I'd swear that all of that would be considered military level issues. and yes, wtf!? I know she sent the Daedelus crew out on a suicide mission and she sent some of the atlantis members out on the Orion for the same thing, but as soon as she leaves, the only person of high rank left/her corrispondent back on atlantis is Teyla!? how does that work!? and also, the other pointless character Ronin has once again served no purpose than to state the obvious and "jump the gun." I swear, if they are going to keep these characters, give them an actual plotline and make them serve a purpose suited to their previously defined talents. Teyla is completely worthless now that they don't include any human colonies or even the farmers in anymore episodes. I think they could still save Ronin, even tho he never has any lines, they could at least put him in charge of a raiding party, send him and a team to kill and capture wraith ships now that their beaming tech can work some on the wraith ships.

  5. I would assume that eventually your windows will probably stop working, but that may not be the case. Microsoft released an update about this 2 or more weeks ago, which you may have just gotten installed on your comp.. I always check the updates windows xp automatically downloads and then decide if I want to install them or not. Well, the update I'm talking about is a Windows Verification update.. it says something like: "This will check your OS to see if you are using a legitimate version of Windows XP, and if not, will notify you and guide you to purchasing one."

Even tho I have legitimate installations, I refused to install this update. Turns out this shitty update will make your pc connect to one of microsoft's servers, bypassing your firewall and then run a license/version check at least once or twice every 24 hours, automatically. (they may have changed this recently to only check 3 or four times a week now.) But if you're getting that error, whoever installed your windows xp used a bogus disk or its possibly not registered. If you can somehow get that update uninstalled off your computer it could return to normal. if not, get a new windows xp cd or do a clean install of your Operating system and refuse those couple of windows updates related to this.

  6. Wow. So many good points were made in this topic about Gundam Wing's popularity and Gundam in general. ^__^

Aside from the previous comments concerning GW's popularity, for me, I was addicted to GW because of the devastating battles and policital plotline. And the timeslot worked perfect for me, I never missed an episode. I still remember the commercials and looking forward to the start of the show. I remember it being defining for me because until then I never saw an anime with so much killing in it. I think websites helped in the show's popularity as well. Around the time GW was hitting the air, AOL was having a crazy explosion of new signups and I remember "Gundam Wing" being in the top 50 lycos search for over 6+ months.

In a comparision to CN's affect on a Gundam anime's popularity.. I noticed that CN dropped their promotions and popularity run for Gundam Seed by removing it from it's initial saturday night lineup, stopped commercials and then moved it to Fridays at 1 am. That right there helped drive the nail in the coffin for that show in the US. But when Gundam Wing came out years before, they commercialized the afternoon airing, then throughout the night they would air commercials for the uncut version at midnight. Often they'd get double ratings because the people who watched the afternoon show would watch it again uncut, five nights a week. O_O Those were the days tho.. CN would actually air a series through the week, often with 5 new episodes every week. I think their current plan of 1 episode a week late night on a weekend just doesn't spawn the fanboys and fangirls like the old format did.

  7. :( I NEED EP 193!!!!!!!!! I ran out of Eps to watch now :(

It'll probably be out next wednesday. Me n lady are going to watch ep 192 tonight. :P

Okay, I would if I could actually get any volumes to read, or episodes to watch that aren't yet released in america, any suggestions or is the story really good for me to wait with much anticpation?

The story is really good, but I suggest watching the fansubbed episodes (uncut and released weekly). The show is worth watching and waiting for tho, up until ep 130 something like godgrave said. then its just tedious episodes with no plot.

As of now, it would take about 3 1/2 to 4 years for Cartoon Network to catch up to the episodes quite a few of us on these forums are watching now.. assuming cartoon network aired a new episode once a week continusly for that entire span of time, which they wouldn't.

So, in reality, you can probably wait about 6-8 years, or you can stay a member on these for forums for 3 months, make a thousand posts, join our "AC Elite" usergroup and access our fansub forum to get all the links you need to subtitled naruto. :P

  8. *revives old topic*

I finished watching this earlier this week.. the end made me feel like crying. :(

Maria hooking up with Big Daddy reminded me of Samurai 7 and whatsherface's love obsession with Kambei.

    -_-

Whats everyones favorite scene? For me.. at the end, when they were in the bar dieing.. Harry looked over and Kenny and everyone else was sitting at the bar telling him to come over.. but he couldn't yet because he wasn't finished talking to Brandon. That entire scene almost made me cry. So emotional. :(

  9. Me and the kids finished watching Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden: Träumend, yesterday. This series was very good and the characters were great too. I wish they would have gone into some more detail about "Father" and the "Alice Game" because it never did make sense to me that they would have been made just to fight each other. O_O Don't get me wrong tho, the fights, especially the ones at the end of both series were good and added a nice balance to all the cuteness.

However, I like the first season best because of how Jun confronted his problems and changed his life around thanks to the influence of Shinku and the others. That much depression and anxiety, its something I could relate to and I like how they expressed it in his actions. I really hope they make a third season to continue the story, or maybe a movie or ova..

Souseiseki and Hina Ichigo are both still screwed! That rabbit bastard has their roza mysticas and it looks like father's apprentice is still in league with him because the remade Barasuishou was with him. and what the hell is "father" the apprentice and the rabbit!? maybe they're not human? or maybe they're magic users?.. Shinku said that father changed shape through the years, etc.. and in flashbacks, it looked like Shinku and Suigintou were battling as early as World War 2! O_O so many unanswered questions!

btw, Kun Kun is awesome! X'D

Has anyone else seen this series?

  10. Square Enix released a statement like a while ago saying its a hoax...best buy is just making up shit

I saw that comment on 1up.com, but even tho bestbuy screwed up, I'll bet the game is still in the works. They already have the cg designs and models finished for use in the cg scenes. I could see it happening, because they'd make money on it.

  11. *revives old topic*

I finished reading Sphere not to long ago and I have got to say, that was one hell of a book. The plot is so unique! and the story was wrote so good, I could vision almost everything except the shear size of the spaceship or the squid.. much better than Congo. I should go pick up the movie.

I'm almost done with "Eaters of the Dead" and this book is crazy. Its amazing that this is based off of true events that happened a thousand years ago. But the way it is all described, I can believe it. The northmen and their constant fighting, the cave dwelling dwarves that forge weapons, the mist demons aka eaters of the dead.. the battles, and how they were fought.. holy shit.

  12. I don't want to see whales get killed.. but I don't know anything about their actual population numbers or what species would be hunted, etc. If there really is enough of a couple species for a sustanable culling that has no major ecological impact, then they probably should have voted for the limited hunting.. but with the anti-whaling completely supported, it could be a bad thing.. now japan and some other countries could leave the IWC, form their own commission and begin mass whaling, taking into consideration that all the other countries in the IWC wouldn't be participating in the whale hunting.. and that could be even worse for whales than if the IWC did approve it.. :\
