  1. Does anyone here have a Wii? Or get a chance to play one on demo yet? Whats your impressions of it?

I'm interested in seeing how well that virtual console/download game feature works and what the new zelda game plays like. ^_^

  2. anyone else notice the new spell check in FF2? pretty spiffy. but I can't stand seeing all quoted usernames being labeled as misspelled. *disables it* :P

One thing I did like about IE 7 that Firefox does not have is the tab thumbnail viewer. You click a little box and it shows a screen with thumbnail pics of every tabbed window. Pretty nice.

 I forgot to look at the free extensions. I clicked to install "tab category" and boom, just like IE7's feature. I'm pleased.

I like firefox, simply because the favorites toolbar, and i've noticed ever since i used it that spybot doesn't seem to have to work as hard. clearing out the temp memory is more user friendly also.

    I've noticed the same.

  3. Has anyone tried out either of these yet? I upgraded to IE 7 a couple weeks ago, but just now got around to upgrading Firefox to version 2. IE 7 finally has tabbed browsing and a sleeker look. And it has a phishing filter and other features that seem to make pages load slightly slower. I'm assuming the security has been upgraded on it as well, but I hate how IE is integrated into the f*ckin OS. Some little language bar popped up on the bottom of my task bar that wasn't there before and I'm assuming theres probably other little bits here an there IE has done to my overall windows xp that I haven't noticed yet. :disgust:

Firefox 2 seems to run about the same, except the look is a bit better. *shrugs* I didn't see much of a difference off hand, but then again, I haven't looked at the changelog for it either.

  4. Nice. That use of the tilt feature seems so fitting. If only you could have done that in all the old resident evil games. :P

I saw a PS3 at walmart a couple times now, but I haven't had a chance to play it. but then again, walmart's display has the monitor at some rediculous angle above the shevles so its actually better to watch others play it. The graphics look amazing on that lcd screen, but I gotta ask, do you have it hooked up to a standard tv with s-video? if so, hows the quality? I've never seen what one of the newer gen systems would look like on a standard tv, and I'm interested in knowing how it'd look on my old 27incher. ^_^

  5. nooo! swanky gadgetery! :P eh, but I'm glad they're taking bond in a new direction. I didn't even bother watching the last couple bond movies until they came on the free movie channels. And when I saw Pierce Brosnan kissing Halle Berry.. ew. It was like watching bigfoot molest a princess. :P

  6. if he had an eternal pose then he could. I keep thinking about how the grand line is set up. they don't have an eternal pose to alabaster, so technically they couldn't find their way back to ever visit vivi again. But with the way the politics and world government is setup, I would assume that anyone could buy eternal poses to just about anywhere.. but then again, it doesn't sound like the average sailor could just do that. maybe free travel is restricted to the marines and politians of the world government. :\ if sanji found all blue, he could be faced with the choice of either staying at all blue, or never seeing it again.

  7. They're going to have to make it to elbaf at some point. I just wonder how huge that island will be. O_O for an island to sustain a village, if not villages of giants, that island must be the size of a country like alabaster. and that reminds me, when Saul talked to Robin, he told her not to confuse him with those bruts from elbaf and that there were other islands with giants. I still wonder if they'll have to go to the marine headquarters or that sub base impel down. it sounded like that sub base was underwater too.. maybe the grand line has some underwater islands? kind of like how skypiea was up in the heavens? maybe luffy and the crew will have to travel beneath the ocean somehow? I could see it now.. their log pose pointing straight down to hell. O_O

  8. It doesn't surprise me that the PS3s would sell out. and I bet they'll keep selling for quite a while too, at least until everyone that wants to buy one at that price gets it. then the PS3s will probably take up their real estate spot right next to their stagnant high priced PSPs. X'D

I figure the first price drop will be around 2008, so I'll start saving up for it now. ^_^

I'm just glad for the release, cos now everything 'PS2' will have its prices fall. Ohhh that reminds me, I picked up 3 games today :) *goes to the random section*

 thats what I'm looking forward too. There will be an influx of pre-owned games heading to the stores. Everyone will trade in all their games for more credit to the ps3, and I'll be there to buy up all those rpgs I always wanted to get my hands on. ^_^

  9. rougetown.. I thought the same thing, but do you remember the guy in the fish market that talked to sanji? he said something along the lines that the waters around that island would occassionaly drift sea life from all four oceans to them. its probably the next best place to All Blue, because I'm guessing All Blue has every species of fish swimming in its waters ready to be caught.

and yes.. the women are definitely sanji's vice. :P he'd probably stick around just for Nami~swan. X'D

  10. Has anyone else seen SHUFFLE!? its a romantic comedy that me n eppy watched over this past weekend and it was great! We watched the entire series, I was hooked! :P The little side conversation popups are awesome and the overall plot was pretty good too.

I still think he should have hooked up with Nerine tho.

    :P

  11. I was thinking about this the other day.. Sanji's goal is to find All Blue, the place were all the seas of the world connect and every fish can be found in it's waters.. but seeing as they've been to skypiea and they've discovered the white white sea and its strange and rare varieties of fish, do you think All Blue might have a connection to the white sea as well?

I remember when they first met up with gan he said he was surprised that someone actually rode the knock-up stream instead of taking the normal path with all the other sky islands.. So I'm assuming that the normal path must have been some kind of connection between the blue sea and the white sea.. maybe thats where All Blue is.. because that would probably be the only connection in the entire world to the white sea.

But if thats the case, then others must have obviously found it as well (example: some random pirate ship almost took out the merry before they even went to skypiea). Anyway, if that is where All Blue is, and that is where the legend of All Blue came from, deep in the second half of the grand line, wouldn't that mean they would have to pass it to continue on to One Piece.. and thus leave Sanji behind with his dream? :(

  12. I could see the cause of the problem being the burner drive itself, but it brings up the blue screen of death? O_O maybe another issue could be memory or temporary harddrive space? when copying/burning a dvd, the software will only recognize/utilize the free space of whatever temporary folder it has on any 1 drive. if the biggest partition on your drive is "C" and it only has 7 gb of space and you're compressing a large 8 gb dvd, you'd need at least 4-8gb of free space just for the compression process. and if you were just at that borderline of free space and you used it all, then you would leave no extra space for window's virtual memory which should use (for probably best pc performance) about 10 percent of your total harddrive space on any one particular drive. you can probably burn cds without any problem because the temporary file sizes are drastically smaller.. but when you go to compress/burn a dvd, you're computer is probably running out of resources and it crashes.

try getting your "C" drive to around 15 gb of free space, then try burning a dvd again. if it fails then, its probably your dvd burning drive. oh, and don't forget to check the temp folder your burning software uses. if it crashes like that, its probably leaving the temporary files from those failed burn attempts on your harddrive and you'll have to delete them manually. hope this theory helps some.

  13. I picked it up earlier today. I got the free bestbuy mini artbook bonus, got them to match circuit city's price of $37.99 and I used my $6 in mcdonald's bestbuy dollars. :P after my discounts and with tax, it costed me a total of $35. :D

and damn.. with the graphic quality of this game, it must be the epitome of the PS2's capabilities. O_O

  14. Well, if it takes a least a few days to a week to just sail from one island to the next.. and some islands they spent multiple days on. but its so hard to tell how much time passes because some of their adventures take place so fast even tho they span many, many episodes. All of Skypiea took place in a matter of what, 2 days? even tho it lasted about one or two seasons worth of episodes. O_O; but the alabaster stuff.. hell, they had vivi on the crew for so long, that the newspapers kept reporting about the growing dissention of her country.. they must have had vivi on the ship for probably half a year to a year. heh, and once they got there, they must have been traveling that desert over the course of multiple days or even a week. they traveled all over an island the size of a country, so theres no way they could have accomplished that in a short time.

hmmm... with coby's age back then, the way he is now, luffy's adventures... seeing as Luffy set sail in the bucket at what, 17? all in all, I'd guess hes been traveling at least 4 or 5 years, maybe more. Hes probably in his early twenties now.

  15. I hope ussop doesn't leave the crew.. but I wonder whats going to happen with Garp there talking to him now.. will the straw hats be able to leave water seven without being attacked by the marines? the marines are still after robin, and they know her location.. but then again, maybe Garp and his crew are doing their visit secretivly without the knowledge of the marine headquarters and world government. I think they'll probably leave water 7 and have a couple misc. adventures before another major arc, just to let the anime get a bunch of filler in.

aaaah i'm still trying to catch up!!! I just got up to the Water 7 arc in both the manga (reading it in japanese :D) and the anime (haha, i still need subtitles). I can't imagine Ussop leaving the crew either...it just wouldn't be the same =\ But what happens to Robin? No don't tell me!!

You're starting some of the best episodes of One Piece. O_O:D

  16. You have to wonder why Garp isn't an Admiral yet.. I have a feeling theres more to this guy's story than what hes letting on.. he has got to be one of the most powerful men on the grand line if he himself was able to bring down Roger.. but hes only a vice admiral..

I'm pretty interested in Dragon now.. I think I'll go back to that roguetown episode where he showed up and did that big energy blast attack that fucked over all the marines and gave the straw hat pirates the chance to escape. I remember he said something.. and I think Smoker overheard it.. maybe if we re-watch it (or re-read what he said in the manga), it would make more sense now.

  17. So, if Shanks is one of the four emperors and the three main powers in the world include the World Government, the Shichibukai, and the Four Emperors, wouldn't that mean that Hawkeye and Shanks are on opposing forces?

I guess thats why Shank's men were on edge when Hawkeye showed up to talk to him (way back in the series, right after Hawkeye's encounter with Luffy and Zoro).

Based on the interactions and non teamwork of the Shichibukai, I don't think the four emporers work together either.. If anything, I bet they each rule over different sections of the latter half of the grand line.
