  1. Well thats the problem with all our politicians, Almost all are senators are millionaires, almost all of them are retirement age. But they'll all keep getting re-elected and keep their positions of power until the day they die. I don't think its really about legacy, its just a shit ton of old people that don't want to ever give up their power. Average age of an American is 37, average income of an american is $33,700.00. Average age of a senator is 67, average net worth of senators and congress combined not counting their income is a minimum $500,000 and they all make like what.. $174,000 a year from a quick google search. But senators are mostly multi millionaires. None of these people can accurately represent the average american in the slightest. They all have completely different lifestyles, completely different opinions based on their large age disparity and none of them will ever know what a real day to day life for a citizen is really like. Look at all these old millionaires running the country:

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2019/10/25/richest-members-of-congress-by-net-worth/40290533/

When every one says "drain the swamp" they want new politicians in and the old ones out.. but it'll never happen because all the democrats and all the republicans in office are almost all retirement age. None of them will actually pass a law for term limits or age limits because it would mean all of them would have to actually retire with their multi million dollars, multiple houses, life time free healthcare paid for by the government, etc. No.. poor them.. nah, they just all want their power to hold over people. ehh.

  2. Every state has it's own voting laws. Some might use touchscreens, some might use the old punch card booths, some use these scantron forms like in NY, some have paper ballot backups and others might be all digital. Theres no federal mandated specific voting style which is why every election night is a mess. But because its all on a state by state basis, the odds of the entire election being manipulated on a federal level is very low.

Yeah I think its stupid that candidates can get themselves listed 2 or 3 times on a ballot under different parties. All the other parties are pretty pointless since none of them ever win. For a ballot like NY all that really matters is the top two lines for republican and democrat. I think they switch positions as to which is at the top of the form every other year. You heard the saying, "Vote across party lines"? It means this:

    vote_ballot_party_line.thumb.jpg.9454fd1266f894af53aa98a0441d7532.jpg

The party lines go from left to right. The one I circled is the democrat party line. You fill in every circle on that line and you just voted for every democrat, one line down, vote from left to right and you just voted for every republican. The inside of the cardboard/plastic privacy things have examples and directions that make it all pretty straight forward to.

  3. Trump could easily win this tonight. And honestly with the electoral college, my vote doesn't count worth a damn anyway. NY state always votes majority democrat and since electoral college votes is all that matters, I could have voted for neither and in the end my vote wouldn't affect the outcome whatsoever. If somehow Trump does lose, he'll probably declare his new re-election campaign, do rallies and continue everything hes been doing all along for another 4 more years except not being president at the same time.. then win re-election and have yet another 4 years of Trump continuing rallies, etc. We might be better off if he wins just so we can get just 4 more years of him and finally move on. If not it could be 8 more years. lol. Either way I've scaled back my consumption of politics and I'll continue that trend into the future.

And one more time. Get off the .22!!! XDXDXD Unless you gonna be shooting snakes, squirrels, groundhogs, and other small mammals. Plus if there is ever another school shooting, or any kind of mass violence, .22 ammo will be non existent. People buy them all up in a panic because they're cheap. I remember after Sandy-Hook and congress started discussing gun control there was an absolute frenzy on ammo in almost every caliber. But even after things calmed down it was months before .22 was available regularly and the price jumped significantly. Its a shit round good only for the things I just mentioned. XD Its more to do with the velocity of the cartridge than the actual round size. A .223 or .17 hornet is basically a .22 with a shit ton more gun powder behind it. Basically its the difference between putting a philips head screw bit at the top of your 8th grade science class baking soda rocket and then doing the same but putting it at the top of a Saturn V rocket. XD .223 doesn't kick bad if you're worried about your wrists and elbows. There is a reason the military uses .556 (just a .223 with more umf... a gun chambered with .556 can shoot a .223 much like a .357 mag can shoot .38 special rounds... just don't shoot .556 out of a .223 or a .357 out of a .38... the frames aren't designed to handle the pressure).

Here is a coyote gun for under $500 with the scope. Savage Arms is a pretty good budget brand... and this video isn't 20 min. XD It shows the kick pretty good. There is a heavy barrel variant which will mitigate recoil further.

I forgot to comment about this again. I kept forgetting.. XD but what if I pumped multiple rounds of the .22 into the person and basically swiss cheese their face? XD Then again that'd probably be murder after shooting more than twice. XD

I like that shotgun. Simple yet plenty good enough for me. :D

  4. Way back in the day the voting booths I used in Ohio had curtains and when you walked in, you hit push buttons on a machine to indicate who you vote for, after you click push buttons for each category, I pulled a lever and it simultaneously imprinted a paper ballot with the vote and opened the curtain so I could walk out. I never liked that style because the paper vote was all inside the machine so you couldn't see it. All the voting I've done in NY has been the same for years, cheap cardboard privacy thing at a table with metal folding chairs. You get the ballot from one of the poll workers after you tell them who you are and they verify your address, then you sign for it. Take the ballot to a chair, sit down, fill in the circles for who you vote for like a multiple choice test in high school, then take the ballot to the machine and feed it into it. The machine sucks in the vote, says its casted and thats it.

    Heres sample images:

    votingbooth.thumb.jpg.7adafb7ae70a97667c1a2a825550ce1e.jpg

I don't see a sample 2020 one so heres one from last time. I didn't take a pic of the ballot today because I think thats illegal.

    vote_ballot.thumb.jpg.4fecf6c36549d6273b79c0f8786d21cf.jpg

Basically you just fill in one bubble for each column to cast a vote. Only takes a couple minutes.

  5. Me and lady voted earlier. In and out. It was pretty quick, we were there maybe 5 minutes. Except an elderly lady was there and threw a fit to get attention because the poll workers asked her to remove her political hat. Its been a law in NY for years upon years that you can't wear anything political at polling places and courtrooms. I think that's actually a law in almost every state. Everyone was wearing a mask and did the 6 foot distancing and another poll worker was sanitizing all the chairs and privacy spots after people left. It was organized pretty well.

  6. My samsung tv has those free live channels too, but I wasn't impressed with the offerings. Plex live tv seems decent mostly because they have an entire channel dedicated to Bob Ross. XD You can watch Bob Ross paint 24 hours a day. XD btw, plex also has free movies on demand with ads. Vudu has free movies with ads to but I haven't used that app in a while since I have most of my digital movies all on my plex server.

I haven't heard of tubitv until your post. lol. I'll look into that later to. My brother and a friend of mine both use the Kodi app to stream movies and series but they both say its a bit hit or miss, probably because I think alot of the kodi stuff is all pirated movies but the different servers or addons keep getting taken down. Something like that.

  7. Spectrum raised my cable rate again by almost $40 a month. $150 for cable alone, screw that. I'm trying youtube tv now. Just started it today. $64.99 a month. I like HBO so I added HBO max to the account for an extra $15 to. So roughly $80 not including tax. I now have youtube tv app on my nvidia shield and all my rokus. My nvidia shield has HBO max app which worked great. I've been watching movies on it today. The rokus only have the HBO app and not HBO max, but I was able to log into those with the account no problem. HBO max should be getting alot better now that all the DC universe content is going on there. I should be saving roughly $70 a month now. I also have netflix, my digital movies on vudu, movies anywhere and my plex account. Plex and Pluto tv apps also have free live tv channels.

I like the unlimited DVR of youtube tv and it has all my local channels. Hulu looks interesting but it doesn't have all my locals which is why I went with youtube tv. The on demand for youtube tv looks pretty good so far. It looks like I can watch 10 seasons of mythbusters and season 2 of one punch man is on there. I'll have to try it out more. There's a promo right now where I got 2 weeks free trial and after the first month payment they'll send me a free chromecast worth $50.

Any other streaming services you guys recommend? I'm tempted to get amazon prime again since it'll give me their streaming service and free fast shipping. I'd like to get add free premium youtube but it looks like it'd be tied to my youtube account only as opposed to letting lady watch ad free on her account too. Instead of a per user account I was hoping it'd be a family account like YouTube tv is.

  8. That episode was great. :D

    Spoiler

At the end of the ep was it my imagination or was that Boba Fett? :o he actually survived the sarlac in the original novels, but he was disfigured.. this guy didn't look messed up at all.. but if it was Fett, I don't get why he wouldn't have gotten his armor back.. or why he lost his armor to begin with. So many questions.

  9. It's all good. ^_^ The way Biden is going I expect him to drop dead in the first year and Kamala Harris will be president. Lol. I honestly don't care for Biden at all. I'm literally just that burned out on Trump.

if republicans are pissed off about the election result, they arent going after petty retail stores for cheap thrill of looting, theyll probably go after officials and govt properties so id be in less danger if i wanted to go shopping after the election day..i did all my shopping today just incase lol. and when i was writing that post last night about agenda, nbc's headline was like "88,000 new covid cases in ONE DAY in 25+ states!!" and showing empty hospital beds all over again, i was like alright thats enough news for today. whats contradicting with news and reality is that i have customers who are ailing (cancer and other diseases) and i ask them lots of times about hospital capicity when they mention about their health and their hospital visits and they are like, oh i didnt even wait that long, hospitals are usually empty..

I went shopping yesterday just to be on the safe side. I wont be going out on Wednesday just in case. Screw that.

The covid stuff is aggravating me. I hear ya about the hospitals. I don't understand the reasoning for shutting everything down at this point anymore. They keep saying cases keep spreading, but the whole point of the lockdowns and restrictions were to keep the hospitals from exceeding capacity. They're not exceeding capacity, it doesn't look like they will, at least around here that's for certain, so I don't see the point in the news constantly covering it. But that's how the news is now. They run on a single story that's getting them ratings and that's all they'll cover. It's the same with trump, he'll tweet something at 4am and that's all the news will talk about for 24 hours. The news is all pointless anymore. I'm guessing covid is giving them more ratings than constantly quoting trump so they keep running with it. And that's why I try not to watch anymore. The only news I watch now is the nightly local news and NBC nightly news because it's only 30 mins. The rest of the news I'll check my google news feed. I purposely don't block different news feeds I don't agree with because I try to read all sides of something. But I don't read any of the headlines anymore and now I try to stick with science news.

  10. Lol. The covid spiking isn't a conspiracy with the election, it's literally a result of the schools reopening. The university here is getting all kinds of shit because parties and large groups keep gathering causing spreading events. One of our schools reclosed for 2 weeks because of positive covid tests. My county is now a hotspot because of the Idiots having parties.

They've had early voting here for a while now but they've been swamped so I haven't voted yet. I have election day off so I'll go that morning.

I'm voting for Biden, not necessarily because I want him to be president, but because it's the only vote i can cast that can potentially lead to Trump being removed from office and removed from our day to day lives. As far as I'm concerned a vote for Biden is a vote to end bullshit every day trump arguements. Ever since he became president it turned everyone into a political asshole on both sides. He instigates flame wars on a daily basis. I want the country to go back to normal. I'm burned out on trump more than I'm burned out on covid.

Depending on what news you listen to they're saying the same thing about trump supporters going on riots if he loses. This is the bullshit that I want to end. It's all escalated to extremes of right versus left and it needs to stop.

  11. The first season is 10 episodes. Really interesting concept for a show. And they have Ragnar. lol. Quick concept of the series.. Earth was ruined in a giant war between the religious (Not christians, a different religion that doesn't exist for us) versus the atheists. The planet in this series is where survivors of the conflict went to try to start over but the fighting continued there. Good acting, writing, etc. but the plot is a bit weird, I was hoping for more episodes to tie up the first season, either their production got cut off short because of COVID, or it was just odd pacing for a season finale that didn't really feel like a season finale. If you're craving a new scifi series, this is a good one.

Supes have been committing atrocities, which keep getting swept under the rug because they are revered by the adoring public. Billy Butcher recruits The Boys who have all been wronged by The Seven, the world’s most notorious superheroes, to bring them down and stop the corruption. Based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis, The Boys is a revenge story where the nobodies take on the somebodies.

About The Boys: The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven", and their formidable Vought backing.

The trailer has quite a few spoilers IMO but it does show some action without going much into the plot. I highly highly recommend this series. Seasons 1 & 2 are on Amazon Prime. I finished season 2 a couple days ago. Awesome show, great cast, great acting, great writing, etc. Apparently its based off the comics that I didn't know about until after I finished season 2. Extremely violent, very gory at times, some sexual content and a crap load of dark humor. Its a completely different take on superheroes compared to DC and Marvel movies. Most of the supers have all kinds of issues and many of them have no problem killing people or letting people die in collateral damage.. and others are straight up psychotic but present themselves as America's beloved heroes. CG effects, costumes, etc. are all top notch too. I don't know what kind of massive budget Amazon threw at this series but it paid off IMO. Amazing show. Hard to believe the guy that made Supernatural made this show. I love Supernatural, but this show is filmed like a movie.

  13. I beat Last of Us Part 2 a couple weeks ago. My opinion from watching Lady play it compared to my playthrough hasn't really changed. I will say though the combat is the real highlight of the game. When I got close to the halfway point of the game I realized I was playing stealth way too much and it was going too slow. Once I started running and gunning the game got so much more enjoyable. That was my fault for going too much stealth though, I was on I think normal difficulty but there really was a good amount of ammo and resources, especially with all the searching I did. Exploding arrows, rifle, molotovs, hunting pistol and pipe bombs where the best weapons in this game. Once I upgraded the damage for everything I realized after accidentally shooting someone's leg right off their body, the rifle and hunting pistols were beastly guns. After that I stopped going for most headshots and started aiming at legs for one hit kills as I blew everyones legs right off. They'd scream and bleed out. Very brutal. But the explosives.. holy hell.. the graphics and effects in this game... Limbs flying around and parts exploding, etc.. that looked like realistic damage someone would take from an explosion, so much blood. Eventually graphics are going to get so good it'll look like real people getting exploded. x_x

  14. The first episode of The Walking Dead: World Beyond was on last sunday. God that was boring. They took completely sheltered kids, made sure everyone of them is somehow a minority group, young black woman with an education, her sister that doesn't look related to her at all, maybe another minority and she was adopted?, nerd white kid, and white kid with I'm guessing aspergers or something. None of them are in good physical condition to fight off the undead. By the end of the episode they all leave their community together to go travel to NYC.. 1100 mile trip from where they are. This group making it to that location in the world of TWD is almost laughable. It felt like I was watching a combination of Stand by Me and a variety of other cliched movie themes but it takes place with zombies. The final scene where they all left together completely felt like watching the Hobbits leave the Shire together. A small group with no hopes of survival embarking on a huge journey. But it works out for the hobbits.. because it is fantasy with a crap load of amazing supporting hero characters. For TWD World Beyond, this group shouldn't survive the first 2 weeks outside their community walls. And none of them have even killed a walker before until that first day they went out. -_-;

  15. I think this was the most recent TWD topic.. TWD started going off a cliff when all the major actors started leaving. The season 10 finale.. but it wasn't the actual season 10 finale because now season 10 will have an extra 6 episodes. And season 11 will be the final season of TWD.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a33966590/walking-dead-cancelled-daryl-carol-spin-off/

Since they announced Carol and Daryl are getting their own spinoff they're now completely safe from death for the remaining 30 episodes so we know there will be no reason to fear for their safety in the slightest regardless of any circumstance their characters get into.. which is why the season 10 finale the other day felt rather boring.. there is Carol in a situation where she might die and we all know shes safe so when she survives there is no sense of relief or anything. Maybe if that episode actually aired when it was supposed to it would have felt more impactful. But in the end it felt kind of boring.

Whatever spinoff show Carol and Daryl get needs to go to a drastically different location or something to make it something new. But even then I'm not feeling any interest in the show because if its a show dedicated to them they're all but guaranteed to never die, at least for the first season.. which means the show will bring in new characters, build them up and kill them off, but thats what TWD has been for years already. The way the show has been going for all of season 10 its basically been a Carol and Daryl series already.

  16. I missed that youtube video before it got taken down. I'm guessing it was a Trump having covid video. Seems like a giant publicity stunt seeing how every news station is hanging off his every word again. Even my local news app has been spamming me with Trump updates. I'm burned out trump. It's not possible to go a single day without seeing his face or hearing his voice on almost any medium I use for almost 5 years. Its been roughly 5 years (counting his initial primary election) of trump tv. I don't want to watch this reality show anymore and I hope it gets canceled. -_-;

  17. I hate ebay flippers. -_-; I'm glad I'm not in a rush to get a PS5.

When I do get a PS5 I'll be going for that $499 model with the disk drive. Its $100 more, but I figure since I don't own a 4k bluray player and they go for about that price, I can justify paying the extra for that version just for playing movies. I might just wait for a whole other version to come out with a larger hard drive too. I'm looking forward to seeing reviews of the console from actual customers after it releases to the public. Any youtubers that get free review consoles before release I'll assume have to have their review approved by sony and are basically long sponsored biased ads.

  18. Not bad. I thought it was going to be $599 like the PS3 was initially. I bet with MS releasing the Xbox prices first Sony had to stay competitive.

In a kind of related note:

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/krisholt/2020/04/16/sony-ps5-production-report/#28d072426685

Sony may make fewer than 6 million PlayStation 5 units in the console’s first year, according to a Bloomberg report. It’s said to have told assembly partners it’ll make between 5 and 6 million of the consoles in the fiscal year ending next March. Sony sold 7.5 million PS4 units in the first two quarters that console was available. It went on sale in November 2013.

I think Sony will purposefully gimp it's production for the first year because of the launch prices. To mitigate their loss per unit they'll say its a supply issue, but after the first year the components will drop in price and they'll start a larger production since they could make more money then. Its a gamble for them.. if we get a situation where everyone is flipping them on ebay for $700+ for the first 6+ months it'll cause alot of rage.

    EDIT:

Actually I read that article a couple days ago.. looks like it might be false:

    https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020/09/sony_says_troubled_ps5_production_rumours_are_false

Interesting. If sony can pump out 11 million units then we shouldn't get any ebay flipper bs.
