  1. These GW2 events I skipped out on doing over the last couple months are actually pretty fun. I've got some new skins to unlock. I think I'll change up my warrior's look a bit this weekend. :D

I could have made a new character look like Mei from Overwatch, but I didn't buy the wide rim glasses when they were available.. and custom head pieces can't be used with outfits. ;_; Theres a perfect outfit/glasses combo to make Mei, but the game won't allow the combo to happen.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Nope. :P I forgot the name of the outfit before. I was thinking about the artic explorer outfit with the hood off.

      https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arctic_Explorer_Outfit

That with those wide rim glasses would have made a great looking Mei. ^_^

  2. I watched the first season (at least first available on netflix) of The Great British Baking Show. This was amazingly relaxing. lol. Everyone is so nice, the music is soothing. No stress, yet informative baking info. I got to the end of the first season, saw who won and everyone is happy in the end. wtf. XD This is so different from all other competition shows. In the finale all the previous contestants were having a field day / picnic with friends and family while the last 3 people competed. After the winner was announced the other finalist responded with things like "The right person won this today." wtf. XD Nobody is mad. XD What really shocked me was the prize. The winner got a couple bouquets of flowers and a glass serving dish / trophy for a cake... and thats it. lmao. I had to google it.. there is no prize money, no cook book deal, no vacation or baking job... just the satisfaction of winning. Wow. XD The next season started and it begins with "We had over 10,000 participants attempting to get into this season.." So many people spending so much time for no rewards besides personal growth and experience. I like this show.

Fake drama and pointless scripted banter has ruined alot of American realty TV for me. I haven't watched Pawn Stars in years because of it. I just want interesting and knowledgeable information about the subject the show it about. Thats why I liked Mythbusters so much. There was no talk about Grant's love life or any discussion about Jamie and Adam never getting along outside of the show. It was an enjoyable show packed full of explanations, enjoyment and explosions with no drama. I do like watching Masterchef and it sometimes forces some drama on the contestants via reward advantages, but its a much better show than Hell's Kitchen where everyone just yells at each other smoking 12 packs of cigarettes in between every kitchen shift. That gets old pretty quick. This baking show has really opened my eyes again to what a good reality show can be. Calm, informative and without banter and arguments you end up routing for specific people, but then don't feel crushed if they loose. Its really quite refreshing. If I want to watch arguments and pointless drama I'd turn on that real housewives show or one of those other crap reality shows that are no where close to being "reality" and are more like badly acted ad lib soap operas.

This is generally why I like British TV more than American TV, no pointless drama and the shows are actually well thought out and funny (I adore the original version of the Office more than the American version, so much better and funnier). If you compare the original version of Being Human to the American version that was on SyFy you would see a remarkable difference (the British version was more focused on the characters and their problems, you actually felt connected to the characters unlike the American version).

I might have to give the show a shot. Sounds like its a lot more relaxing to watch then the crap we get over here for reality TV.

I finished the last season of The Great British Baking Show on netflix, unfortunately they only had 3 seasons. I enjoyed the experience. :D

  3. I got my new 1 tb external hard drive in the mail today. I have enough free space that I can now save more than 1 or 2 video clips of my games at a time without having to delete something. That was so annoying. x_x

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lol. I kept burning everything onto DVD-Rs for years, but now I have a massive case of dvds and its no longer feasible to burn things onto disk when I can buy a hard drive like the one I just got. Its smaller than my wallet and holds as much data as my entire case of dvdrs. I ran out of room to store things years ago which co-insides with when I stopped downloading everything. Sounds like we both horde too much digital stuff. XD

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

XD Sad thing is half of that is just anime and the sadder thing is I haven't watched half of the anime either (which is why I'm glad I got a CR sub, I'm whittling that down slowly now) . Oh I'm not even mentioning the stacks of DVD-R's and CD-R's I have with shit burned on them to help conserve space. I really do have a problem, maybe I should apply to be on that Hoarder's show (I wonder if they consider digital hording to be hording XD).

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Digital hording is horrible for me. You should see my inventory on my guild wars 1 & 2 characters and every final fantasy game I've ever played. XD

  4. It feels like I've had constant appointments for the last month that keep eating into all my free time. Even this week I have at least 3 places to go during work hours causing me to make up time during my free time. x_x Tomorrow I need to go back to the tire shop. I got my summer tires mounted and balanced on thursday and by late saturday afternoon I'm getting a helicopter kind of air sound from my front left tire. "whoosh whoosh whoosh". I thought I had a bearing going, but I got my breaker bar out and sure enough the lug nuts weren't tight. wtf. First time I've ever had this tire place screw up a mounting before and I've been going to them for over 14 years. I tightened them up but I'm still getting a bit of sound while driving. I don't feel like hauling my 3 ton jack out of my basement so I"ll go back there tomorrow. I'm pretty certain they're going to have to lift the car and re-center the tire.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I might end up moving this summer so most of my weekend free time for the past month and a half has been eaten up by constant spring cleaning of my basement and sheds and then putting in 2+ hours of work on the weekends to make up for some appointments during the week. 1 or 2 more weekends and I should be done. x_x

Speaking of that jp, I left my warrior there and when I do my daily login I've been opening that chest every day since you ported him there. XD

Went back to the tire place. Turns out one of the back plates got loose and was hitting a rotor causing noise. The other part of the noise was one of my caliper pins/sides in the front left seized up and caused uneven wear on my rotor which warped it. I needed new brakes and got that done today. Spent $350 on it.  :bleedout: It needed the brakes tho and I'm surprised it passed yearly inspection with them in that condition considering to fully stop the car I'd have to push the brake pedal down past the gas pedal and almost touch the floor. This car runs like new now that I dropped $1400 on it over this past month. My gas mileage is even much better. I was averaging 26 mpg, and now its getting 36 mpg.

  5. LoTR Fellowship of the Rings is such a slow book. The battle of five armies in The Hobbit was only around 40 pages. In Fellowship, I'm 80 pages in and Frodo is still in the process of leaving the shire.. wtf. I'm glad the movies skipped 90% of this. Nobody would watch the movie if 2 hours was dedicated to him attending his estate while waiting on Gandalf to finally show back up 15 years after telling Frodo to keep the ring safe. Roughly 15 years he was gone.. wtf. In the movies, its like he went and made a cell phone call and came right back all worried. In the book its a boring Hobbit's life with Frodo eventually taking care of his belongings, selling his house, getting his affairs in order, getting some breakfast with Sam, etc. x_x

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thanks for the warning about the silmarillion. After reading the hobbit I was interested in getting more of his books but after reading the first 20 pages of notes, etc. that is the prologue of fellowship and then the first 80 pages of the book, Tolkien has almost burned me out in 100 pages. X_x All the hobbit lore in that prologue was all pointless details to me that add nothing to the plot. It completely lines up with what you said tho. It's all world building. This guy is more detail oriented in his writing than Peter Straub. However there is one part of the notes that really intrigued me. Tolkien, in response to critics saying his books was a metaphor for his experience in the war, gave an example of an alternate version of LoTR if it was. In the alternate version Sauron would have gotten the ring back and Saruman would have created his own ring of power and their two armies would have raged war against each other for control of middle earth. That would have been cool. Lol.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Meh, that was mostly there for those who hadn't read The Hobbit before getting into LOTR (I know I hadn't read The Hobbit before I read LOTR, was a nice little intro into what happened before the events currently taking place).

Don't get me wrong some of Tolkien's best work is in The Silmarillion (in fact it is my favorite book out of everything he's written) but like I said its a pain to read through all of it. I actually like that Tolkien took the time to actually set up his world and give us the details, it made it feel more alive). Too many books these days don't take the time to do that and just throw you into the fray without even a "Hey, this is whats kinda going on just so you know". Shit just wait until you get to the appendices in The Return of the King (if your copy has it, mine did). There is so much information on who's who, the elven language (which is actually a language, Tolkien was a Linguist), another few pages of story not mentioned in the book proper (like the Grey Havens scene from the movie, what happened after Sam and Frodo got back to the Shire, what Pippin and Merry were up to after everything, etc), and so much more (The Silmarillion has something similar but its not as bad).

Reading Tolkien is a huge commitment and is something I learned the hard way back when I first started reading his work. If you can put up with the amount of information he throws at you the reward is well worth the boredom.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind as a slug through these boring bits. :P

  7. I started Ratchet and Clank on PS4 last week. That game felt so fun. Meanwhile I gave up on metal gear solid V phantom pain. It was too repetitive for me. -_-; I'm watching TetraNinja's play through now on youtube. I don't know who this guy is, but his videos are decent so far and his stealth gameplay is far superior to what I was able to accomplish.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Coming back to this topic seriously. Ratchet & Clank is a blast. I had a lot of fun playing it, but the final boss fight has your pet peeve where the mechanics are really different, and is much harder than the rest of the super casual game play. XD You'll have to tell me how it worked out for you. For me I just used the preorder weapon to demolish him. XD That thing was ultra OP.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

MGSV looks fun in this guy's videos but man I sucked at it. But I found out why I sucked at it. Tetraninja didn't mention this in his videos but i noticed he crouch walked alot. The enemies range of detection drops when snake is in crouch or full prone. As long as you are crouched, Even in line of sight of the enemy they won't see you unless you are in a specific range of them which is basically the same range as the silencer pistol. I was trying to be too stealthy in the game and prone everywhere, find everyone, Fulton out a bunch of ppl and then I'd start walking to a goal, get spotted, screw up my bullet time moment and miss a head shot, have 10 more enemies spawn in and screw up everything I've done. Eh.. I could start the game back up and crouch walk everywhere and get a completely new feel for the game but I think I'll pass on it now and finish the series of videos instead.

I thought about resuming but just doing side ops annoyed me because the bases and locations were re-used constantly. For an open world game all the missions go back to the exact same locations and all the massive amount of land on the maps are wasted with endless terrain that gives a false sense of exploration and does nothing but artificially lengthen the game. Every helicopter drop off location is figurativly miles away from the mission goal and makes traveling around time consuming and boring.  For the first time ever I'm having more enjoyment watching someone play a game than me actually playing it myself. XD

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lol. You replied while i was typing out my last reply. I'll definitely keep playing ratchet and clank. But i have no preorder weapon.. lol. I hope that last boss fight doesn't make me hate the game. XD

  8. A new chapter of Fairy Tail came out one year after the manga ended. It picks up right after the end of the series. Even tho the last couple arcs were written horribly I'm glad the series is back and can get a bit of a fresh start now that so many long term plot lines have all been resolved. The original mangaka is writing the plot lines and story boards but a different artist is actually making the manga. The art style is similar so far but its noticeable on some pages. If anything we might be getting less fan service with this guy. Lol.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I haven't read Edens Zero but I just looked at the first chapter and skimmed through it and it looks like an alternate reality Fairy Tail except instead of mages, theres humans versus robots.. and space travel.. wtf. XD I guess I'll read this. But yeah those characters are exactly like you said.. The main character is Natsu but with Grey's hair and Lucy looks the exact same except her name is Rebecca.. and theres a cat.. also named Happy. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

And of course I saw one page where the girl starts crying and the guy gets a nakama power up.. "I'll fight for those tears" *instant owns everyone* -_-; yeah, this is the same guy that wrote fairy tail.  XD

  9. Finally got my dishwasher completely hooked up. What a pain in the ass. Mostly because the previous owners of this house didn't extend the new flooring into the dishwasher cabinet area.. and they installed an outlet directly behind the dishwasher that requires a flat style plug I had to order.. and the delivery guys threw away the insulation piece that I also had to order (no charge from whirlpool for that at least). And when I finally got it all in place I couldn't mount it until I added a new piece of wood trim to the underside of the cabinet to give it something to mount to. I know see why installation prices can run so high. wtf. Over 2 weeks I put like 8 hours into this thing. I ran it once for the first time last night. Seems pretty efficient.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Oh god I couldn't imagine. XD

It was a good learning experience tho. I now know how to do it in case I ever need to again.. and I found out that sharkbite brand pipe fittings work amazingly well with no tools required. If I need to replace a damn fitting again I'll use that brand from now on. That was the last thing too.. I went to connect the water line, unscrewed the end of the pipe expecting a threaded connection on the end and instead I found out it was a pipe cap that popped off with just the end of a pipe with no fitting to connect the water supply line too. wtf. These people must have literally cut the pipe to disconnect their previous dishwasher instead of unhooking it correctly.

  11. Its been two weeks since we started work on leveling a spot for a pool.. removing the sod and dirt to level out a spot has been alot of work. Especially since my backyard is one giant hill going up at an incline. So many rocks too.. every single shovel full hits a rock. And on top of it all we had to start the pool circle over at one point because we realized that location had too low of a low point and we'd have to remove way too much dirt. Its been two weekends of 6 hour days each day of shoveling and multiple days off that also had some shoveling time. We've moved over a literal ton of dirt and rocks and sod.. Its almost done. x_x lady has been a beast with all this work. Impressive as hell.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

My arms are wrecked but it'll be worth it. Lol.. I wish there was some money in these rocks but it's all just rocks. XD at least I'll never have to buy rocks for edging flower beds. I even have my own quarry on a chunk of my property. I weed whacked a path to it a couple weeks ago.

      DeathscytheX

Thats some big ass rocks. I use to love rocks when I was a kid. XD I'd probably be trying to pick up that mini boulder if I was still 10.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That mini boulder is at least 200 pounds. I can't even budge it. XD it was sitting up higher and was upright.. but lady removed a massive amount of rocks from below it and she was able to push it over. It fell straight down to where it is now and hasn't moved since. XD

  12. My PC got screwed again. It wasn't just that memory stick. After I pulled a different memory stick, my hard crashes 90% stopped. I was still getting crashes about once or twice a day, but this time it was giving me blue screen errors instead of solid random crashes every 15 mins - 1 hour. All my drivers are up to date, but I kept getting driver_irql_not less or equal crashes with iastora.sys as the issue or it'd be a kmode_exception crash with no driver stated. Turns out iastora is the hard drive driver. I was worried my hard drive was failing. Doesn't look like it is. What I did was manually change the driver from the installed "Intel C220 series chipset SATA AHCI Controller" driver to the "Standard SATA AHCI Controller". As far as I can tell, that Intel driver was a couple years old and I'm guessing was not communicating correctly with my motherboard. Thats my guess at least. The motherboard has had multiple firmware updates over the year, including one earlier this year but that hard drive driver was still 2 years old. The new standard driver is recent as of this year. So far so good. Its been 3 days now and not a single crash of any kind. My PC seems stable now so I'm starting to reinstall my games and maybe I'll have the time to do that server transfer of AC since I won't have to worry about my PC crashing in the middle of a FTP connection.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

  13. I finished reading The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I actually finished the book a month or two ago, and then started reading all the extra appendices at the end.. and that was alot of material. It was interesting to read about what happened after the movies ended and the eventual end of Aragorn's life all those years upon years later. And all the extra info about the origins of middle earth and the different ages. I didn't finish the entire appendix, I got burned out on it since most of it doesn't read like a full story. Once I got to a section where it was showing large time lines of events, mostly from the original trilogy I stopped. It was a good chunk of info.

On a side note, the actual ending of LotR was in the shire with the hobbits raising a small hobbit army to defaut Saruman. lol. Who'd have ever seen that coming? XD That wasn't in the movie. XD

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I was glad to see that Gimli went with Legolas all the way to the end with the other elves. Their friendship was great. 😀 i'l have to buy the Silmarillion at some point so I can read it. The appendices were great with more info about the rings that was never covered in the books so I'm glad all that extra info was included.

I just remembered this comic from dorkly.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

      XD

I'll warn you it's a slog and a half when you do get around to reading it and pretty much every story is unfinished but it's probably one of the best reads out there for Middle-Earth knowledge. It covers the first two ages and goes into great detail about the Undying Lands (where the elves, Gandalf, and the other wizards are from), why the elves came to Middle Earth, Sauron and his master, the creation of the rings of power, the origins of Aragorn's family line and why he so long lived, and many many more things. Just talking about it is making me want to read it again.

    3. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Now that sounds interesting to me. The appendices talked briefly about Sauron's master. And it got me wondering about that guy and wtf powers did he have. I'll definitely pick it up one of these days. It still boggles my mind that Aragorn's ancestors used to be elves but decided to become mortal. Ancestors made a bad choice and all those generations later they get wars because of it because of the resentment of not being immortal. Yeah, screw those ancestors. I'd rather have immortality. XD

  14. I made a deal with a roofing company.. my roof repair is going to set me back a solid $1500.00 There goes my stimulus check plus some. I think I could have gotten a cheaper deal with a different company, but this guy does legit quality work. I figure you get what you pay for in most circumstances and this repair job will require replacing a small chunk of the roof, plywood and shingles at least 6x4, and blending new shingles in with existing ones and it'll come with a full warranty and guaranteed not to leak.

    1. slippers

      slippers

yeah it sucks. last year it was a water heater. this year it was a dryer. its always something to fix or replace. i got my stimulus last week but i barely break even, and not counting car maintenance/repairs etc. heres hoping for 2nd stimulus but texas is reopening this friday so i dont know. maybe lol. do u still live in that old place next to cemetery? i remember hurricane ike back in 2008, it did a pretty good damage on the roof and it took them a week to fix it. good thing it was covered bc it was close to 5 grand

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I hear ya, its like every week for me is paycheck to paycheck because something keeps coming up. My water heater freaking out in the middle of winter was a pain. I didn't have the money to replace it so I fixed it myself, I have a new dip tube ordered from amazon for it too then it should finally give me hot water longer than 8 minutes. x_x 5 grand to repair the roof.. damn. x_x Roofs are costly. x_x The roof guy gave me a quote for just over $10k for a new metal roof and an extra $6k for the garage. x_x One of these days I'll do that but finance it with a payment plan. We're leaning towards metal over shingles because it looks really nice and it'll be good for 50 years.

Nope, don't live there any more. We bought a house in October of 2018. :D We're about a 15 minute drive away from the old house we were renting. Its a single floor house with detached garage and we have 1.24 acres of privacy. :D I do miss the cemetery tho. But now I have woods surrounding the entire backyard so its nice.

Another stimulus would be amazing and helpful, but I don't think we'll get it. I think the state's will start forcing openings to get the economy going again because if they don't soon, the damage might be too big for alot of businesses to survive.

  15. I finally finished iZombie after starting and dropping it a couple times over the years. Its all on Netflix and it was an enjoyable show. It came out during the height of the zombie craze thanks to TWD, but its nothing like a traditional zombie show whatsoever. Its basically a lighthearted police show reminiscent of Psych or Castle, but instead of a psychic or book author helping the police detective solve crimes, its the police morticians, mostly Liv, who ends up becoming a zombie in the first episode. But as long as she eats brains, she stays a mostly normal functioning human. As she eats brains she sees memories of the deceased and she basically poses as a psychic for the first season or so.. and then it gets very good as the zombie virus starts spreading as the series progresses.

Its an enjoyable show and only 5 seasons long so its an easy watch. The writing and acting is good and although alot of episodes are standalone, it does have an ongoing plot line for each season leading up to major developments thoroughout the entire series.

    1. Sledgstone

I used to watch all kinds of crap back in the day, RIP off shows, generic b-movies, etc. Now I'm much more selective.. except when it comes to zombies. XD Z-Nation was a great show. XD iZombie was enjoyable.. but the most surprising zombie movie I almost didn't take a chance on but I'm glad I watched it was Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies. I'm not linking the trailer on youtube because it's the worse trailer edit ever made. But the movie was hilarious and on par with any Sharknado movie in terms of comedy. XD

Z-Nation was the other one. XD. I really didn't care for Sharknado. It tried too hard to be bad so in the end if wasn't funny bad, or good to me, just mediocre which is the worst thing you can do in my eyes. They went from showing bad movies to trying to make ones and it just didn't do it for me. Mega Piranha will always be the best one they showed. I think that's the one where they had a car chase, and one of the characters was shifting an automatic transmission like it was a manual, and both cars kept changing makes and models in the same scene because I guess it was whatever car they could afford to rent that day of filming. XD Like the SUV was black and the car was white the whole time but they kept changing between a ford and a Chevy. They put stickers over the model/make decals to try to compensate. But this part will always be legendary:

      That movie was great. XD

Mega Python vs Gateroid will always be a favorite of mine just because if this bad fight scene.

The acting was so bad it was amazing. XD

Sharknado 3 was the best one. The rest of those movies were garbage compared to fighting sharks in space. XD

  16. The latest windows update defaulted everything to light mode including the task bar and start menu. x_x Thankfully there is a setting to change that in the taskbar settings. Its like windows decided to burn my eyes first thing this morning. x_x

this was years ago but i never upgraded mine even when it was offering free windows 10. ive heard lots of complaints about windows 10 even before that. my main reason was it said windows 10 wasnt compatible with old steam games

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Hmm. Windows 10 is pretty damn good now. I thought it was crap initially but it got alot better and more stable with updates.. but then I thought it was crap again because I kept having hard crashes, but it turns out that was bad memory in my PC. I have alot of old games on steam but I haven't come across one that doesn't work yet. Most games also have a steam forum with good info about getting games to run if its getting errors.

I think windows 10 is still free to upgrade. Windows 7 got end of life this year in january. If you're not using windows 10 yet, you won't get security updates anymore. The last win 7 update was back in February.

yeah I’m being really careful with it. I only use it to play old steam games, listen music, and visit YT and check my emails. one of last windows 7 updates disabled several steam games I liked so that sucked

  17. I have a tooth filling that was replaced last week and its been nothing but pain. I went back to the dentist yesterday and he filed down the filling because it was screwing up my bite, but last night was just bad pain. fml. I'm hoping this starts healing now, if not I might need a root canal.

that sucks. :( i hope you are doing much better now. i havent gone to dentist in decades..i just try to brush em every morning. its not that im scared to go, its just too costly. only scare i had was a couple years ago when i made a habit of eating chocolate ice creams almost everyday and sometimes skipped brushing my teeth. it started hurting for two weeks straight here and there but i kept brushing like crazy to make the pain go away XD and luckily it did.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Well shit got weird for me.. in the end it was the tooth in front of the tooth I got the filling in that was causing pain. Like it was intense pain for 3 weeks. I got on antibiotics and after 5 more days it ago started feeling better. I figured it was just an infection. I kept the appointment with the specialist at my dentist and told him the good news that everything was feeling better except for some pressure sensitivity. I could even eat on that side of my face again. He looked at me worried and said he can tell what happened and he'll do some tests. So he used these mini cotton balls and used some special can of air or whatever it was to super cool the little balls. He touched them on my teeth. The ones around that tooth all yelled at me when they got touched.. that one that was painful didn't react at all. He tested it multiple times. I never felt cold on that tooth. He said the pain I felt was the root dying from infection and now the tooth is completely dead. I either need to get a root canal or an extraction because it'll eventually start rotting from the inside out and potentially start spreading that rot to my jaw and cause an abcess. Wtf. And it feels almost fine right now.

    3. slippers

      slippers

damn thats bad. good thing you went back to check on it. id have just ignored it after it got better x_x i did that when i had an ear infection, or when i broke my right hand. ignored it until pain got unbearable and after cast was off i just blew off appointments bc i felt better. make matters worse i went fishing a couple days later and the spot that was broken and healed had swollen to a size of golfball. and for the next two years i couldnt grip with full strength with that hand. but yeah i dont mess with something like a toothache. my stubborn coworkers refused to go see a dentist and all waited until pain spread to their jaw, ears, and head. scary stuff.

ps root canal isnt that bad from what i remember. i broke my front tooth when i was in highschool, all i remember was seeing a needle going in (felt a sharp pinch in a gum area), half of my face got numb and didnt feel anything after that. hope you get it done soon before it gets worse. 😕

  18. Mosquitos here have been a bastard the last 3 weeks! Ravenous assholes that don't even care that I have deep woods off sprayed all over my body and citronella candles are burning everywhere. I even sprayed some cutter bug killing spray onto part of my yard and those bastards keep coming for every time I walk outside. x_x Its times like this that I don't mind winter because it kills every last one of them.

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Damn that's got to suck. I bought some cutter bug spray today to see if that's more effective than the deep woods off.

^ did you notice your avatar is missing? O_o

yeah it does. one time during hot ass day one of store customers asked my ex coworker why i wear clothes like its winter and he told the customer i was covered in tattoo and was trying to hide it lolol 😂

maybe theres a hidden puddle of water they are breeding near your house that you missed. hope you get them. they use to lay eggs on window washing dispenser/bucket thing at work and they were crawling/swimming with mosquito worms..really nasty. couldnt spot them until i got like 1 feet close, i thought they were just hair and dirt at first.

Thanks for mentioning my avatar.. It still loads on my browser, but when I clicked on it in my profile it was busted. wtf. I think I got it fixed now. lmao @ the tatoos. XD

I think because we had so much rain there are small pools of water everywhere now. I'm guessing theres thousands of random little tiny cm size pools of water hidden in the mulch in our flower beds. I think the news guy said it was the third wettest July in history here. x_x

  19. I was expecting to get that car this past weekend only to never be called by the salesperson. I called today and the car is delayed again another week. WTF. I don't know if this car is floating on one of those cargo ships off of california, or if there is just no truck driver to actually drive these cars to NY from whatever state they were manufactured. It'll be 3 months since I put a deposit down. My recommendation for anyone that needs a new car, go to 2-3 different dealerships and put a deposit down of $100 to reserve a car at each location, whichever dealership gets the car in stock first then gets the sale. I honestly wish I would have done that.

I forgot to update, I got the car 9 days ago! Exactly 3 months from the date I put the deposit down. I'll have to upload some pics of it soon. I'm glad it finally came in. I was stressing my ass off with my old car since the exhaust could have broken off at almost any time. 6 days after I got the car I bought new snow tires for it. I'm all set for the winter now. :D

  20. I almost have my blog completely fixed. I neglected fixing all my attachments since the conversion. I only have about 5 entries left to fix. Once I get my categories back in place I will have to recategorize my entries and tag them. It took me almost 2 hours yesterday. x_x

      Sounds like a lotta work.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

It was. I had to recreate all the thumbnails too, which ended up duplicating all blog attachment images. I had about 60 entries with attachments in them. I had to delete all the old duplicates and then re-insert the images back into the correct positions in my entries. At least I'm almost done now. ^_^

I finally finished my blog categories / tags, etc. That was so time consuming. Now I can focus on snack reviews and recipes again. ^_^

  21. Just finished the alternate ending in Saints Row the Third.. and I got some Steam trading cards. I got a spiffy Gat one and two Nyte Blaydes. I don't think these cards are actually worth anything tho.

  24. If I can focus my thoughts, I'll write up a new blog post I've been thinking about for a while now. I have a completely different opinion on the paranormal now. I can now rule out over 90% of everything I ever thought of as supernatural.

I probably won't play it that much, I'm still a little burned out from all the playing I did last weekend and the beginning of this week. I'll get on for a couple matches and get helicopter points. I'm close to getting ECM for attack helis.
