XD On the web browser version you only see "Rotflmao!" unless you click it. but on the mobile version you see the link

I noticed that to. I'll have to remember to type something else in next time since links don't seem to end up in the shortened preview part everyone sees.

  1. I finished watching Chuck earlier this week. Great series but a bit repetitive with 2 specific plot lines. I do recommend it. Its a great series about a guy working as a "Nerd Herd" employee (aka geek squad) at a Buy More store (best buy / walmart combo), he gets an email that basically puts a CIA app into his brain and he has the entire nation's secrets but he can only access them when he gets a visual stimulus. Like when he sees some terrorist guy at a party, he'll "flash" on the image of the guy's face and then the app does an info dump and now knows everything about him and his organization. So now he goes on missions with the CIA/NSA while maintaining his cover of working at Buy More.

Its a fun show with some good campy action expected from a CBS series but Chuck wines way too much about his feelings. I haven't heard a guy talk this much about his feelings and emotions since Boy Meets World. The fifth season shouldn't have been made IMO. Crappy ending to a good show. The endless Subway in show advertising is intense too. wtf. There was a foot long sub promo in 1/4 of the episodes. XD

Boy Meets World fa life. XD I loved that show.

      Sledgstone

      Then you'll like Chuck. XD

  2. I beat Killzone Shadow Fall the other day. WTF kind of ending is that. -_-; The mechanics of the game were decent. I liked having my own personal drone. It could attack, heal me, put up a shield, emp and zip line. Using that OWL was fun. But I never played the first 3 games and even tho you didn't need to play those to play this game since it takes place 30 years after the last game, I felt like I was out of place. The plot wasn't that good and some of the missions were down right aggravating with horrible checkpoint locations that caused me to waste 5-10 minutes repeating content because I died on too many occasions. I hated the scan for enemies function. It was so pointless half the time because the majority of enemies wouldn't even spawn until you went into a new location. I'd be sitting outside a door, scan for enemies, think I'm safe and just run right in. Then I'm ambushed by 4 enemies that just appeared. -_-; Because you die after taking about 4 bullets, I'd have to start at a checkpoint again and repeat crap. wtf. I got into the habit of running into a room and running right back out and rescanning for enemies. So annoying.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I never got into KZ because the first game had shit controls that you could only turn into more shit controls. Stick wasn't ADS. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I was glad the controls were good in the game and I could set crouch to right stick, but man that crouch was too realistic. This guy would take a knee all slow like he was actually carrying the 100 pounds of gear I had and he didn't want to break a hip. XD

  3. Turns out when my puppy bashed into my head the other day she messed up the alignment of my glasses. I think I got them adjusted now.. No wonder I got a migraine yesterday, almost had another one tonight. x_x

      DeathscytheX

Even the smallest things eventually sabotage your BF1 playing time in the long run. XDXDXD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Its true. lol. I'm glad she isn't a bigger dog, it was a smallest adjustment to my glasses, but the pressure in my left eye is starting to subside a bit already.

  4. A SSD hard drive is a significant upgrade. I now want one of these for my main PC. I wish I'd have bought a cheap 256 GB one during black friday just to have the OS and a few games installed on while keeping my 1 TB regular drive for everything else. For my laptop I only have the one hard drive bay and this 480 GB is plenty of space but a 256 GB would have been way too small. I can now boot up my laptop in seconds. After hitting the power button, typing in my password, clicking on firefox.. only takes 20 seconds. :D It could go faster but I wasted a few seconds in shock staring at my password screen and typing slow. XD Everything on the laptop now loads up fast.

GW2 still takes a while to load, but I think thats because of the online nature of it and my CPU/GPU taking too long to render the game. Regardless of that it still loads all maps literally twice as fast now. It takes almost a full minute to load into the character select screen after logging it. But all maps, including Lions Arch, all load in 10 seconds for me. I wish I had one of these for my main PC since I stream all my games off it. I can get my daily login rewards way faster on my laptop with my alt accounts now and if I'm just farming nodes it'll probably be faster for me to use my laptop now than my main PC. O_O

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I've seen people complain about the SSD not loading fast for GW2 after the last update. Some say they have really slow login-character select load times right now. It could just be a bug.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That would make alot more sense. It doesn't make sense that my laptop running a ssd will take a solid minute just to load into the character select screen, but my pc will load it in 11 seconds.

  5. I finally maxed out the mastery points on my Guild Wars 2 account.. except for the raid masteries. Now theres nothing holding me back from making a Heart of Thorns legendary except for currencies. :D

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I wonder if the new Kryta map will have Core MP so I can cheese it to finish legendary crafting instead of the map mastery XD.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Watch that new map mastery be absolutely necessary to get around the map like in Ember Bay. XD In hindsight the Kodan Mastery wasn't actually necessary at all to accomplish everything in the Bitterfrost map. You could have used those MP with no problem. XD

  6. We had no snow on the ground as of 8pm last night, then it started snowing and this morning theres a foot out there and we're getting another 3-6+ inches during the day. I'll be spending my lunch break shoveling my ass off today. :ahh:

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

      It's a repeatable heart. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

oh god.. it feels just like that. XD

  7. I finally got the rarest tonic in Guild Wars 2. The Endless Fractal Tonic. :D That damn thing has such horrible RNG that I feel like I should go buy a lotto ticket right now. XD Its rarity is easily the same as having a precursor drop and after a year of trying to get it I gave up for 6 months. Then over the past month I started playing fractals again, finished my legendary back piece and then got this tonic.. I felt like I had a heart attack when I saw it in my inventory. XD I'll make a video of it later this week. :D

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

You videos when from barely audible to loud as fuck. XD 50% PC volume and it almost blew my ear drums out. XDXDXD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

XD I don't know what volume settings are supposed to be normal for recording a video so once I figured out how to set it for max I left it there. XD I can't watch my videos on my phone without turning the volume down. XD

  8. I finished the Magi anime series last night. Its a really fun series, alot of action and decent plot. Alibaba is a bit to much on the high moral ground for me to really like him as a character, but all the rest of the characters like Aladdin (not even close to being like Aladdin from Disney, lol.) and Sinbad really make the series enjoyable. I watched the Sinbad series first because I didn't know any better but that didn't really take anything away from watching the full series afterwards. Theres 3 Magi series on Netflix and it doesn't make sense to me that they're 3 separate series when one is actually the second season and the Sinbad series is an OVA.

For anyone interested the order is: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Magi: The Kingdom of Magic and then Magi: Adventure of Sinbad. The Sinbad series starts off really strong with action and adventure and then basically turns into a story about how he became a big time merchant. ehhh.. The other two series felt more like a regular action/adventure anime with increasingly bigger fights and power ups while still having a good plot.

Male inner thigh cleavage needs to end. x_x

      magi_titus_pants.jpg

      wtf.. cover that up!

I asked Lady.. "How about I get some pants like that? Would it look good on me?"

Lady: "All that thigh hair.." :barf:

      XD

  9. I finished watching 13 Reasons Why on netflix and it was depressing. Great acting, good plot. I recommend watching it. It really gives good insight on depression and suicide while showing signs to look for in friends. The premise of the show is that a girl kills herself but she left 13 tapes she recorded, one for each person that wronged her, the tapes are passed to each person until they make it to all of them. In the show, we follow one of the characters as he listens to all the tapes, while having flashbacks of the events that lead up to her death. Its very depressing to see how 1 conversation from just a handful of people at the right moment could have changed her mind. I have a feeling this will become one of those series that becomes popular for a generation, like how Breakfast Club was, because it tackles emotional issues.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Pretty grim comparison X_X. I don't know if I'll watch this or not. I see everyone talking about it, but I've heard and read enough of these stories, I don't feel the need to watch ti portrayed on film. I remember all those PSA shorts back in the 80s, perticularly one about playing with firearms, where a kid shoots his brother in the head after finding their dad's gun and playing with it like a toy.

Depression is an interesting complication, because its a fairly new diagnosed disease. I'm sure its always existed, but not at the levels it does in today's society. Part of it is the meds big pharam likes to pump into us, another part is the bullshit they pump into our food, and another part of it is just how our society acts now. We're so digitized, no one really knows how to communicate in person anymore. I was out for my Sister's b-day last weekend and observed a prom couple that stayed on their phones when they weren't shoving food in their mouth. They didn't seem to ever hold a conversation. People need human interaction, but its easier when you're behind a keyboard. Toys, and imagination have been replaced by a tablet... thats gotta nerf the brain's cognitive development somehow.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I still recommend watching the series because of how they portrayed the the people that wronged her. The majority of those 13 people had no idea their actions directly contributed to her decision to commit suicide until they heard the tapes and understood. And that portrayal of how these individuals came to understand what they did is a great part of the show. Something else occurs thats not stated outright, but it reinforces something I read and heard psychiatrist's talk about in shows.. many people who commit suicide don't discuss the fact that they are going to do it. The ones that do usually want to be talked down from that ledge.

Too many people think they have depression when they're really just extremely sad for a period of time. Doctors might misdiagnose it as depression to (I honestly don't think the diagnosis should be called depression since its a common term for being sad). But full on depression is something that, once set in place, will last for years or end in suicide. In some people its purely an emotional issue but in others its a physical issue. Some doctors don't want to do a proper diagnosis and they just throw anti-depression meds at their patients and assume they'll get over it. In the case of 13 reasons why, its a full emotional breakdown that causes her depression. In some parts of the show I felt that it was a little cliche, like how much drama can one teenager keep getting involved in? But it was a perfect storm scenario. All the things that could happen to keep pushing her off that ledge continued happening like a domino effect.

I agree about the human interaction. Some people can compensate for their illnesses or disabilities by having access to a digital means of communicating with other humans, but the majority of people that have nothing holding them back really need to put the damn phone or tablet down and talk with people. I've seen way too many kids with their faces stuck to a phone playing short attention span games with limited play times. I swear that smart phone games are teaching an entire generation to be ADHD.

  10. My new kitten Maggie is not giving me an ounce of privacy or free time. x_x We have been slowly integrating her in with our dogs and after the last couple days they seem to be getting along just fine now. We had to take her to the vet a few days ago to check her spay operation from the shelter. It was slightly infected. -_-; She got antibiotics, a fresh staple and has had a cone on her head since then and it won't come off for another week. She likes to knock over everything and almost spilled my glass of water on my laptop. x_x

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Exactly. XD Thankfully she is showing no interest in electronic cables unless they are in her way. x_x But she has a fascination for anything white. She has tried to destroy both of my white ear bud sets, has attacked white shoe laces and knocked over a bunch of my work papers and proceeded to bite the papers until I threw a toy for her. x_x

  11. I ended up spending my entire weekend cleaning my basement. Theres a good chance I might be moving to a different house in a month or so and I wanted to make sure the move would go smooth. Its amazing how much junk accumulates in a basement. I was planning on playing some gw2 this weekend.. and it never happened. XD

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Well at least you did it this weekend and not the Beta. Maybe at your new house, Fed Ex will deliver to the correct house. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

That would be nice, but I wouldn't count on it with them. XD

  12. Battlefield 1 premium is on sale for $29.99 for pc but it's still full price for console players. No thanks EA. I'll just hold onto my money then. 😬

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Probably won go on sale until after Battlefront II comes out. I think the console player base is still really strong, plus the have the play with a friend system where you can play all the DLC as long as someone in your squad has it. The PC base always fizzles faster.

    2. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

Usually how it goes as the PC base is pretty non-existent right now (they suffer more from this paywall then us console players do as console players are more apt to buying the Season Pass then PC players (you know since the PC master race thinks they should get everything for free (I in no way believe we shouldn't but they never fully adopted the season pass mentality that we have)). It'll see a resurgence in a week or two when In the Name of the Tsar goes live next month (which I'm kinda looking forward too, some of the maps look fun). The only downside to playing with a friend is you don't get any unlocks or xp for playing DLC maps (the only downside to the system), you just get to experience the map and not the weapons (unless you get lucky to pick one up from a dead enemy).

  13. I finished LoTR: The Fellowship of the Ring yesterday. Great novel, but if I ever read it again I'll skip the first 150 pages of hobbit only adventures. lol. After that chunk the book turned out to be great. And the fan theory about Gandalf telling them "fly you fools" as in get to the eagles is debunked to me. Theory:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/lord-of-the-rings-cast-major-fan-theory_us_561dca5fe4b028dd7ea5b392

In the novel the word 'fly' was used as the word run in multiple instances. It was just the writing style. I'm glad they kept that scene like that in the movie, but Gandalf had no secret meaning when he said that. He was simply telling them to run for their f*cking lives or they'd all die in Moria.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

All I have to say is Tom, you know what I mean (it's the only part of Fellowship I actually enjoyed outside of Moria, I really wish they would of put him in the movie). Everything else before the Council meeting could pretty much be left out (I could care less about how many meals a Hobbit has in a day or how a proper Hobbit should live). Don't get me wrong I love Tolkien's work and I love how he crafted an entire world in just 3 books (technically LotR is one book just split in three) but seriously I don't need all this set-up just for it not to mean a damn thing in the next two novels (as much as I love the Ents they're probably the only real downside to The Two Towers (though they do redeem themselves).

I honestly can't believe people actually thought that. "Fly" has more than one meaning, get a fucking dictionary people. The context it's said in is a dead giveaway as to what he meant because how the fuck do you fly out of a mine (with a Balrog on your ass at that). As much as Tolkien is great at alluding to certain things in his books there is no denying he meant "run for your fucking lives" and not "fly on the backs of eagles". Nerds will never cease to amaze me (yes I say that knowing full well I am one).

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I thought Tom was the most unbelievable character. Lol. He was definitely interesting but singing all the time was a bit creepy to me considering. Especially since he is so powerful he can simply basically order anyone or anything to do something by singing it. He sang a song to the hobbits and told them to go strip down and play in the river. Next thing you know we got naked hobbits frolicking around for a couple paragraphs. XD

  14. PSN is having a sale. I picked up the latest TWD telltale game and BF1 premium is finally on sale for $25. I got that to. I'll be playing some more bf1 over the next couple weeks. Some footage from the newest dlc is looking pretty good.

    1. Strider Hiryu

      Strider Hiryu

I still need to get on and play the new DLC. I got to try out some of the maps prior to its release because of Premium but never did get around to actually playing them now (I'm not looking forward to seeing the unlock requirements for the new guns though I want to get me hands on the Federov, makes medics extremely op now).

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Using spears on horses looks brutal now. lol. I'll be playing a bunch this weekend to try it out.

  15. Bestbuy and Amazon had some good deals on movies yesterday. Got 9 recent releases on blu ray for about $50. And I got a 4tb western digital external hard drive from bestbuy for $79.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

      Now that we have an amazon facility in our city. I think I've started experiencing what you have in the lack of 2 day delivery. Before it opened everything was sent to me via UPS and sometimes FedEx. Now it goes to the USPS from the facility, and my package that was supposed to come yesterday, was "delayed" once reaching the USPS... even though they got it at 8am. -_-;

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Yep. If any package is small enough to fit in your mail box it'll be finished by USPS and 70% of the time it'll be delayed. Although most of the time when my packages get delayed it'll be because Amazon literally doesn't start the shipping process until a day after I order. I'll get a text message that it's shipped, get a tracking number, etc. But I'll check that tracking number 24 hours later and it'll still say "package shipping information received" but nothing about ups getting the package to ship for an entire day.

I'm supposed to get 2 packages delivered via USPS today but tracking says they got the packages at 5:50 am, but it's already 8 something this morning and it still doesn't say "out for delivery" I can pretty much guarantee they'll hold that package for another day at this point. Amazon prime has been losing its appeal to me for a while now. I don't think I'll renew it again next August at this point.

  16. I've been rewatching Star Wars Clone Wars on netflix with Lady so she can see it before Disney eventually pulls all their products off netflix. I figure its only a matter of time before Disney launches their own streaming service and netflix probably loses 1/4 of their content.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

I thought they were going to use Hulu as their platform since they own it. But after looking it up, it seems they'll leave Hulu for the more mature content of 21st Century Fox. It will be curious what will happen with all the Netflix original series deals with the mid tier marvel characters.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

From what I read a while back I think Netflix will be retaining those series. Although I doubt Marvel would let any of their characters get locked down with another company again. Whatever streaming service Disney makes it'll highly compete with netflix considering the massive amount of content it'll have by default that will never have to leave because of a license expiring. Every fox, disney, marvel, abc, etc. properties. It'll be massive and probably have as much if not more content than netflix on day one of it's launch. In hindsight it makes sense now why netflix has been so aggressively making it's own branded content. Every network has it's own streaming service now. I miss the old days of netflix having everything. I'd love to rewatch Chuck, Farscape, Psych and a bunch of other series that all used to be on netflix. As it is now Netflix hasn't had any of those shows in almost a year.

  17. I ordered a new router, its an AC1900. It should be coming in the mail today. It'll be a big upgrade over the crappy very low end belkin router I've been using for 2 years. Maybe that steam link I bought over a year ago will actually work wirelessly now. That thing is a nice concept but ended up being pointless for me unless it has a wired connection. Instead I stream all my games to my laptop which works alot better. Maybe this router will improve that connection and fix some of the blockiness I get, especially while streaming netflix at the same time.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

With your luck, your PS4 will start causing weird problems for your whole network again. XD

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lmao. That ps4 issue pissed me off so much. XD I hooked up the router last night and everything seems to be working great. I'll test out my ps4 multiplayer this weekend. My steam streaming to my laptop even looks crisper. Like with gw2, as long as I'm not near a zerg of ppl the game now looks like it's running directly on my laptop with max settings even tho it's streaming from my pc. If I'm near a zerg it starts to pixelate a bit around the edges of what should be sharp lines.

  18. I bought a new air conditioner today. LG 6,000 btu with remote and digital controls. I have an older model like it in another bedroom window and it works amazing. But this is the first time I've used eBay to buy something so big. Bestbuy was the seller and i would have gone right thru their official site but the 15% off eBay coupon was to good to pass up. I won't buy a GE air conditioner again. The majority of the insides of all these units are Styrofoam while the other 2 LG air conditioners I have are all solid plastic and metal construction.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Oh, buying a new air conditioner means something completely different down here. XD It's still expensive I bet, but I was thinking you paid way more. Window units are nonexistent in the south since the early 80s probably unless the house is super old. Everyone has central air units here. If you have to buy a new one of those, its thousands of dollars for a decent system. With temps in the 80s or higher from May-October window units are definitely not cost effective here.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

I could imagine. Lol. I usually run 3 window air conditioners here during the summer. They're pretty energy efficient for this small house. My parents and grandparents had whole house AC units that were beastly outdoor units. I'm trying to pay off some debt so even a $170 AC is cash is rather have spent on something else right now. But the old AC it is replacing was insanely loud. Nothing could stop that damn rattle noise. It was duct taped, foamed inserted, etc. I even took it apart and put it back together and that damn thing still sounded like it was going to explode. Lol. I'm looking forward to the new unit. I'm planning on moving this year so hopefully my current air conditioners will be effective for some other house to. That's the other reason I'm trying to pinch pennies.

  19. Its been quite the stressful couple weeks. Lady had her surgery and is having a very slow recovery process. My bank required specific repairs to the garage to approve the mortgage and instead of paying a massive price to a contractor me and my friend spent 2 days this last weekend busting our asses in 90 degree days with 90% humidity and full sun working on the garage. Thats all done and accepted now.. Yay. Getting into the final stretch here with the house. Hopefully I'll be moving by the end of the month. I might actually have free time this weekend... finally. *knocks on wood*

    1. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

We went a bit overboard with those garage repairs.. But its all good for me since we'll be buying it.

    2. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

90 degree weather with 90-100% humidity is every day here from mid May til October if we're lucky. That shit sucks, mostly because of the suffocating humidity... especially when you get into the car after its been sitting out in that all day. Some people think I'm crazy loving cold weather, but you can always put more clothes on... there is only so much you can take off. XD I haven't washed my car since April, and I probably wont again until next month when it manages to get down into the 70s again. I can't imagine spending all day out in that shit. I use to as a kid no problem... but unloading trucks at work for 30 min makes my whole shirt soaked in sweat since our loading dock is open. My previous job it was closed in.

  20. Finally got our house today. All the legal paperwork is done and keys in hand. :D

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Now the worse part.... packing and unpacking. X_x

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

The worst part was the last 10 weeks. XD we've been moving stuff the last couple days and even tho it's busting our asses, at least it's not too stressful. XD

  21. Thanks Spectrum/Time Warner for shutting off my services in the middle of the work day. fml. I scheduled the new account activation at my new house for this weekend and for the old account at the house I'm renting to terminate as of monday.. so what does Spectrum do? Shut my account down 1 day before the new account is activated and a full 4 days before it was scheduled to close. wtf. It took me 40 mins on the phone for them to reactivate my internet so I could finish working. wtf.

    1. DeathscytheX

      DeathscytheX

Its amazing how you cant just call up the cable company and have them come out that day to hook you up, but they can come a day early to disconnect you. XD Its such bullshit because it takes all of 10-15 minutes for them do to their job when they show up... but you need an appointment. It should be as basic as ordering pizza.

    2. Sledgstone

      Sledgstone

Lol. Its funny because Spectrum had a hell of a time at my new house this morning. The person that did the install last time did the grounding wire completely wrong and this guy had to call up another spectrum person for help. They dug up a trench and buried a cable. He was here just over 3 hours running brand new cable all over the place and hes got to come back again later to replace a phone line in a crawlspace. XD At least I have good internet here now. I have 100 mbps connection, 10mpbs upload, no data caps and if I want to I can upgrade to the 1 gig plan here and have a 990+ mbps connection. Its actually a downgrade for me atm tho. The plan at my old house was 200 mbps standard. That would cost me extra now.

  22. Almost messed up my well by over using it trying to put some water in this pool.. now instead of slow filling it over the next couple weeks while it slowly becomes an algae disaster I'm buying a delivery of water instead. $160 for water. -_-;

    1. DeathscytheX

Holy shit. Never had well water. I feel like we've discussed this before over something else like your propane tanks. But well water here for those that have it is a hassle. Pretty much any tropical system that rolls through will contaminate it and you have to go through whatever process to purify it again. We haven't had a lot of them since Katrina but I remember every time we had one in active years, the local news and advisory systems would always remind people that their well water was not safe to drink. I've always had city water with unlimited use.

Ouch. Screw having a well in that area. Water around here is so abundant there's entire small towns that don't even have public water and everyone is on their own well. The only downside is the water quality. Some places have iron in the water or hard minerals like calcium that requires a purification system and UV light. My water is so good I don't even need to filter it. I still have a PUR filter on my kitchen sink for making coffee with because it does take down the calcium count to make the coffee maker last longer. And my fridge has a filter built in to and that makes damn good ice. I like not having a water bill but at the same time I wouldn't mind having public water for things like filling a pool.

I have good water pressure because my well system has a good pump, pressure regulator, pressure tank, etc. I get 4 gallons per minute out my faucets. Turns out I drew so much water from my well that my water starting running dirty with literal silt/dirt. My pump sucked so much water out of the well so fast the well couldn't replenish itself fast enough and the pump started pumping the water from further down the well that hasn't been touched in so long a sediment layer must have formed down there. I had to stop using my water aside from flushing the toilets and let the well rest over night. By morning all the water was running clear and fine again.

  23. Now I understand why the last Lord of the Rings movie had such a long endless ending.. I'm halfway through the last book, the ring is already destroyed, the war is won and everyone is celebrating at the castle.. theres still like 300 pages left. wtf. XD and one of the biggest differences from the book and the movie was the last stretch of Frodo and Sam's journey. In the movie, they fought Shelob the spider and after Sam killed a couple Orcs and saved Frodo, they  took some more paths and were at the the lava in Mt Doom.. in the book, Sam had to infiltrate a massive Orc base, most of the Orcs killed each other in an argument, save Frodo.. and then had to actually go to Mt Doom still because that was only the first mountain. wtf. They had an extra week of traveling through enemy controlled land, sneak past multiple Orc bases and encampments, dress up as orcs and had to blend in with an Orc march to get over a bridge, get to Mount Doom, climb it.. lmao. the movie could have been so much longer. XD

Honestly these books were way too long for movies. It was made too early. With HBO and Netflix these days, this would have been an amazing 5-7 season series easily. Digesting all of it an hour at a time would have made it more enjoyable and manageable.

You mean so much better XD Yea the end of RotK kinda drags on for quite awhile with a lot of little things that weren't exactly necessary to get the story across (but remember, Tolkien was a world builder before a storyteller and he built one hell of a world).

God what I wouldn't give for a literal book to TV series adaptation of Lord of the Rings (preferably HBO, Netflix does good stuff but I think HBO would do it much more justice). The movies were a little too condensed for my tastes and honestly not as enjoyable as a TV series would be.

  24. I bought a new power tool set on saturday:

I checked that brickseek site and one of the home depots near me still had one in stock so I grabbed it quick. $70 off is a pretty damn good deal to me and comparable to the black friday deals last year. Most of last years BF deals for these tool sets were mostly larger combos with tools I didn't necessarily need and at a higher price, but still damn good deals. This set however has just about every tool I've been wanting except for an angle grinder. Its not brushless, but brushless tools would be more costly. That and all the brushless tool combos last black friday lacked multiple features the regular tools had like basic LED lights on the tools so you can see what you're doing.

Now that I have tools I can do repair work on my deck. Which is how my weekend went. lol. I fixed a support piece with a new 1x6. I'll replace a couple deck boards this upcoming weekend and the deck should be good enough for winter.

Lmao. I felt like that when I was using the impact driver. That tool is a beast for driving deck screws. :D
