Looks like EA / PSN are having issues right now with BF1 according to it's reddit sub. I'm glad I didn't schedule the day off just to play this. I'm going to expect a DDOS attack at some point today too.

New wallpapers are up. I got burned out on seeing that division wallpaper. lol. I'll start swapping these out more often.

Battlefield 1 comes out in 8 days, I'm ordering the early enlister version off amazon tonight for the 20% discount with prime membership. But I'm on the fence about buying premium. I'm sure I'll get my money out of it, but are we really going to get any significant benefit out of it prior to the first DLC's release? I was thinking about holding off on buying premium until the first DLC.

These GW2 events I skipped out on doing over the last couple months are actually pretty fun. I've got some new skins to unlock. I think I'll change up my warrior's look a bit this weekend.

I could have made a new character look like Mei from Overwatch, but I didn't buy the wide rim glasses when they were available.. and custom head pieces can't be used with outfits. ;_; Theres a perfect outfit/glasses combo to make Mei, but the game won't allow the combo to happen.

The first presidential debate is this monday. I can already predict the winner..

Fox News: "Donald Trump crushed Hillary in the debate!"

MSNBC: "Hillary easily won this debate!"

NPR: "There was a heated debate between the two presidential candidates with opposing views on tax reforms and Syria."

lol. NPR is so boring compared to the other networks, but at least it's news. After the debate, and all future debates, everyone who has already decided who they want to vote for will feel reassured with their decision and feel more substantial hatred to that person's opponent. I'll watch fox news and msnbc the day after the debate to see what each party's commentators believes are the positives and negatives.

A new season of forged in fire started about a month ago and I forgot all about it after I set it to record on my DVR. Another episode is on tonight and I think I have 3 more eps on my DVR to watch already.

I beat Killzone Shadow Fall the other day. WTF kind of ending is that. The mechanics of the game were decent. I liked having my own personal drone. It could attack, heal me, put up a shield, emp and zip line. Using that OWL was fun. But I never played the first 3 games and even tho you didn't need to play those to play this game since it takes place 30 years after the last game, I felt like I was out of place. The plot wasn't that good and some of the missions were down right aggravating with horrible checkpoint locations that caused me to waste 5-10 minutes repeating content because I died on too many occasions. I hated the scan for enemies function. It was so pointless half the time because the majority of enemies wouldn't even spawn until you went into a new location. I'd be sitting outside a door, scan for enemies, think I'm safe and just run right in. Then I'm ambushed by 4 enemies that just appeared. Because you die after taking about 4 bullets, I'd have to start at a checkpoint again and repeat crap. wtf. I got into the habit of running into a room and running right back out and rescanning for enemies. So annoying.

I finished watching The Shannara Chronicles on netflix last night. That was a great Lord of the Rings style series that I never heard about until I saw it on netflix. And it was made by MTV. wtf. Thats like having CMT make a new Battlestar Galacta series. No wonder I never heard of this show. If you like the fantasy genre, I recommend it. Elves, humans, dwarves, gnomes, trolls and demons all exist in a far off future earth long after the time of man. Magic is big in this and it even has it's own version of Gandalf.

I bought a new couch today. Couches are so costly. I think I'll hold off on buying premium for bf1 until the first dlc comes out to save some cash. 6 months zero percent financing was a good deal but all my extra cash will be going to my couch payments now.

I finished watching Chuck earlier this week. Great series but a bit repetitive with 2 specific plot lines. I do recommend it. Its a great series about a guy working as a "Nerd Herd" employee (aka geek squad) at a Buy More store (best buy / walmart combo), he gets an email that basically puts a CIA app into his brain and he has the entire nation's secrets but he can only access them when he gets a visual stimulus. Like when he sees some terrorist guy at a party, he'll "flash" on the image of the guy's face and then the app does an info dump and now knows everything about him and his organization. So now he goes on missions with the CIA/NSA while maintaining his cover of working at Buy More.

Its a fun show with some good campy action expected from a CBS series but Chuck wines way too much about his feelings. I haven't heard a guy talk this much about his feelings and emotions since Boy Meets World. The fifth season shouldn't have been made IMO. Crappy ending to a good show. The endless Subway in show advertising is intense too. wtf. There was a foot long sub promo in 1/4 of the episodes.

I'm really surprised by the driver support from Nvidia. I'm not used to updating graphics drivers and I just realized that at least 5-8 driver updates have already come out over the last month alone. I guess I'll be updating my graphics drivers after work today.

I'm ordering a new propane smoker tomorrow. To hell with using charcoal anymore. The smoke from burning charcoal and cleaning the ash afterwards over the last couple years has made me realize I can't stand using the crap anymore. It was a good learning experience and I can easily maintain the heat with charcoal, but its too time consuming and it makes a mess. I'm going to start making more jerky and pulled pork. Especially pulled pork. I love doing a double batch and freezing the leftovers. Nothing beats eating an amazing pulled pork sandwich in the middle of winter without having to cook it in 5 feet of snow.

I beat The Walking Dead: Michonne tonight. Poor Michonne. The end really makes you feel for her. The action in the game was decent but was very short. It was only 3 episodes but compared to the original two TWD games Telltale has done, the Michonne game's length is equal to 1 and half of those episodes. I was also confused as to the time line of the game. I kept wondering why she had a machete and not her katana. I looked it up just now and the game takes place after some event in the comic where Michonne leaves the group for some reason. And this is the side story of that. But they don't hint at that at all. The entire time I thought the game was taking place before she even met Rick's group at all. Overall it was worth playing for the $5 is cost me. But aside from a few choices that could have changed things, this game could easily be watched on a lets play instead.

Happy birthday Lady! she probably wont even notice this. lol.

I saw this article on my local news this morning stating that Trump is losing NY by 30 points now. He says the media is corrupt and hes only going to lose if the system is rigged. The thing is tho hes really loosing NY because he has no presence here. I've seen numerous Clinton commercials over the last month and I've gotten 3 phone calls from the DNC asking for donations and support. But there has been absolutely zero pro Trump commercials. Nothing from super pacs or from his own campaign. And those commercials against trump are pretty damning to his credibility. I know Trump says the media is corrupt but unless he actually pays the media companies for commercial time hes setting himself up for a loss. I'm actually starting to think he wants to loose on purpose at this point. If he has no interest in even trying to win his home state I don't see how hes going to win this election at all. Its so odd to see more commercials from my local republican representative trying to win his re-election and not see a single commercial for someone running for president.

I just beat StarCraft II Legacy of the Void. It was a great campaign and it ended well. Where the story went wasn't what I was expecting. With how it ended I doubt we'll get a StarCraft 3. I hope Blizzard doesn't MMO this game and screw up it's lore. Compared to Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void wasn't the most enjoyable. I definitely liked HoTS better. But I also can't play Protoss worth a damn unless I have a crap ton of carriers.

I finished watching Fringe this past weekend. What a unique show. The first 2 seasons is it's own version of X-Files (without alien stuff), the 3rd and 4th seasons then becomes an espionage thriller, and the final season time skips 20 years and becomes a resistance series where the team has to defeat a powerful enemy. lol. Combine all that with a couple soft resets because of changes in the timeline, an alternate universe with duplicates of people, crazy technology and a handful of individuals with mutant like powers and it definitely makes the show an odd yet interesting experience. I highly recommend it as its a great show to marathon.

The final season probably shouldn't have been made tho but it does finish some of the plot lines not resolved in the season 4 finale. Netflix does screw up a bit. They put an unaired episode into season 1 at a completely wrong moment that broke up the season finale in such a way that I had to google search wtf was going on.

As long as I launch Guild Wars 2 with Steam I can stream it to my laptop in ultra settings over my wifi. The input lag is less than when my laptop runs the game by itself. lol. I'll try launching origin and battlenet thru steam and see if I can stream my Starcraft 2 or origin games onto my laptop later this week. Buying that graphics card was like buying a gaming laptop at the same time thanks to steam in home streaming.

Sharknado 4 is on tonight. This is going to be great!

My new graphics card is working great so far. I'll be testing games and taking some screenshots of my GW2 characters this weekend. I had no idea that characters were supposed to have shadows.

I hate FedEx. Their tracking is crap and they've delivered my packages to my neighbors before. As long as my graphics card works, the first thing I'll try out is GW2, then Starcraft 2. I purposefully stopped playing SC2 last month because I was hating the low graphic setting and FPS drops. Once I see it in max settings, I'll marathon the hell out of it in my free time.
