I finally got the rarest tonic in Guild Wars 2. The Endless Fractal Tonic.
That damn thing has such horrible RNG that I feel like I should go buy a lotto ticket right now. 
Its rarity is easily the same as having a precursor drop and after a year of trying to get it I gave up for 6 months. Then over the past month I started playing fractals again, finished my legendary back piece and then got this tonic.. I felt like I had a heart attack when I saw it in my inventory. I'll make a video of it later this week. -

You videos when from barely audible to loud as fuck.
50% PC volume and it almost blew my ear drums out.

I don't know what volume settings are supposed to be normal for recording a video so once I figured out how to set it for max I left it there. I can't watch my videos on my phone without turning the volume down.

After about a year of on and off fractals in Guild Wars 2 I finally crafted the legendary back pack Ad Infinitum.
It looks amazing but the glider version is complete crap. I really wanted a legendary back piece because its a legendary that can be used on any class and any build. I loved my necro's green look but it's condi build doesn't use any legendary weapon I currently have. At least I can flaunt off a legendary at all times now regardless of what weapon I want to use. Its a shame it doesn't make footprints like a regular legendary does. It would make up for that with an awesome glider but damn this glider looks pathetic.

The downside is that back piece is a blue / purple color.. my necro fashion had to go from green to blue to compensate.. fashion wars ftw..

We had no snow on the ground as of 8pm last night, then it started snowing and this morning theres a foot out there and we're getting another 3-6+ inches during the day. I'll be spending my lunch break shoveling my ass off today.

I finally maxed out the mastery points on my Guild Wars 2 account.. except for the raid masteries. Now theres nothing holding me back from making a Heart of Thorns legendary except for currencies.

I wonder if the new Kryta map will have Core MP so I can cheese it to finish legendary crafting instead of the map mastery XD.

Watch that new map mastery be absolutely necessary to get around the map like in Ember Bay.
In hindsight the Kodan Mastery wasn't actually necessary at all to accomplish everything in the Bitterfrost map. You could have used those MP with no problem.

1 more week of Guild Wars 2 pvp and this ranked season will finally be over. I've been enjoying it but I'm burned out on the 3 games per day meta. As it is now I only have 14 more days out of the 60 day requirement, most of which I plan on finishing up next season. Unless they introduce a new legendary back piece in pvp sometime this year I'll probably quit it altogether after next season. Anet has far more misses than hits for enjoyment in pvp and I have the feeling this season was the diamond in the rough for me. On another note, I'm about 40% done with Rise of the Tomb Raider and once I get that finished I'll be staring the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time.

Only 1080p and 60Hz refresh rate but damn its nice. With this monitor and my gtx 1060 I'll be able to play every game on ultra for the foreseeable future as long as my cpu can handle it.

Guild Wars 2 released a statement that the pvp legendary back piece will still be obtainable in upcoming seasons... which means I don't have to grind out pvp that much now.
I'll get my 3 matches a day in still to progress the meta achievements but I'll be turning on my PS4 more often again. I need to play some more Tomb Raider. That game is OCD inducing in a good way.

I went and visited my younger brother in the hospital over the weekend. Just got back home a few hours ago. Hes doing better. Still in rough shape but he should pull through this now. As long as the procedure for his stitches goes well tomorrow (so many stitches he'll need anesthesia), he could be out of the hospital by the end of this week.

2016 needs to end now. My younger brother had emergency surgery today because of complications from the last surgery. He'll be in the hospital for another week. Still waiting on him to wake up from the anesthesia. 2016 has to stop.

He got a massive internal infection from the operation.
They had to remove some masses of infection from his body. He'll be in the ICU for a week and a regular hospital room for another 2 after that. The next 72 hours is critical for him. -
Sounds like they didn't give him good enough antibiotics, or perhaps having 2 surgeries already they became ineffective if they gave him the same kind both times. Sheesh.

I think they missed these hematoma blobs when they did the first surgery because it was done with laparoscopy. A week later and they got bigger and one busted which lead to the ER surgery. This time they opened him up straight down his stomach to make sure all the puss sacks were taken out. The doctor is saying he should recover 100% now that he got past this first night but he'll be in the ICU for a week. Hes in rough shape.

I finished watching Westworld yesterday and I'm impressed. Its probably one of the best scifi series of the year. Its really a show about NPCs and the management of NPCs in a real life video game. Interesting concept. And I had no idea it was a remake of an old 1973 movie made by Michael Crichton.

My younger brother had his surgery to remove his appendix, abscess, etc. He is all kinds of messed up right now with pain. Normal operation for appendix is 15 mins, his took 1 1/2 hours. x_x

I watched the first 40 or so episodes of Robotech on netflix over the last few weeks. I thought I saw this back in the day but I must not have. I never watched the original Macross subtitled either so I don't know how much Robotech is butchered in comparison. Honestly tho.. this was a solid series after you get past the first 5 or so episodes. It looks dated to all hell, but the plot has some great sci-fi. The genocide that happens in it in numerous episodes shocked me a bit. If I'd have watched this when I was a kid all other cartoons would have been nothing in comparison.
Unfortunately after the main characters leave the show around episode 38 (I think?) the show turned to garbage. I looked at wikipedia and its 3 different series dubbed and jammed into one 85 episode series called Robotech. Apparently the first part is the original Macross anime and that was amazing. But 4 eps into this second series and I can't stand watching it anymore. ehh.

They pretty much butchered Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada to make this frankenstein of a show coherent enough to follow a plot line (I know most of the story points for each show were left in tact but other then that they had to butcher them to make it coherent enough to follow through three different anime). I can't stomach Robotech, it's an atrocity that should of never been made but thanks to licensing agreements conflicting with each other we got this horror show. Plus I'm a pretty hardcore Macross fan (I've seen every series with the exception of Delta which I have downloaded just haven't had time to watch it yet) so the whole concept of the show rubs me the wrong way. You might have seen it in the past. I know it aired on Toonami's Midnight block with Uncut Gundam Wing back during it's original run so you might of caught some of the later episodes that take place during the Southern Cross or Mospeada arcs (or Robotech Wars 2 and 3 if I remember their nomenclature right).
Thankfully the original version of Macross got a faithful release over here before ADV imploded (I think Southern Cross did as well but I can't remember for sure) but I don't know if there are any copies in circulation still (but this is definitely the version to watch).

The first 38 or so eps that are the butched macross series was so great because of the amount of times I'd laugh at the personal drama between Rick, Minmay and Lisa. Rick was such a dick.
The best and most savage breakup line I've ever heard was in this anime. It went something like.. "This world is so big, its amazing how much time we've wasted on each other." ROTFLMAO! The look of shock on her face.. Rick is such an asshole.

A SSD hard drive is a significant upgrade. I now want one of these for my main PC. I wish I'd have bought a cheap 256 GB one during black friday just to have the OS and a few games installed on while keeping my 1 TB regular drive for everything else. For my laptop I only have the one hard drive bay and this 480 GB is plenty of space but a 256 GB would have been way too small. I can now boot up my laptop in seconds. After hitting the power button, typing in my password, clicking on firefox.. only takes 20 seconds.
It could go faster but I wasted a few seconds in shock staring at my password screen and typing slow. Everything on the laptop now loads up fast.
GW2 still takes a while to load, but I think thats because of the online nature of it and my CPU/GPU taking too long to render the game. Regardless of that it still loads all maps literally twice as fast now. It takes almost a full minute to load into the character select screen after logging it. But all maps, including Lions Arch, all load in 10 seconds for me. I wish I had one of these for my main PC since I stream all my games off it. I can get my daily login rewards way faster on my laptop with my alt accounts now and if I'm just farming nodes it'll probably be faster for me to use my laptop now than my main PC.

I've seen people complain about the SSD not loading fast for GW2 after the last update. Some say they have really slow login-character select load times right now. It could just be a bug.

That would make alot more sense. It doesn't make sense that my laptop running a ssd will take a solid minute just to load into the character select screen, but my pc will load it in 11 seconds.

FedEx is one of the shittiest delivery companies on the planet. For about 10 years UPS has found my house and delivered with a success rate of 100%. I ordered a couch and the random delivery people found my house without needing directions. I could order fuel oil and a tanker truck will find my house and backup into the driveway. But if I order a single thing online like a hard drive, fedex will delivery to a vacant field half a mile from my house. At least thats where I'm assuming it is since it was "delivered, left on front door" earlier today.
FedEx has a 50% delivery rate at my house. 6 packages they've delivered to me, only 3 of which got to my house, 2 others went to neighbor's houses and this one is somewhere, probably thrown into the neighbor's pool.

Either one of my neighbors dropped off my package this evening or fedex finally found my house. Whoever it was, was like a ninja. I'm glad I have it now so I can put this fedex bullshit behind me now.
Tomorrow I'll hook up my new hard drive and see if SSD speed really is a huge improvement.

I bought a new 480 gb sandisk ssd hard drive off jet with a 30% coupon for only $75. I'll get it sometime next week. I'll finally get to see how fast these things really are when I put it in my laptop.

What a crap day yesterday. My younger brother's appendix bursted, hes having a surgery today. I'm in another state so I can't visit him in the hospital. My internet went out last night because of this storm. I got 12 inches of snow at my house over night and we're getting another 6-12 inches today with even more overnight. x_x

Winter is coming. I haven't had any snow this season so far except a light dusting. but this Sunday - Monday we're getting 8 to 12 inches. it's time to hibernate indoors.

Turns out when my puppy bashed into my head the other day she messed up the alignment of my glasses. I think I got them adjusted now.. No wonder I got a migraine yesterday, almost had another one tonight. x_x

I bought a new modem off amazon so I won't have to pay time warner a modem rental fee of $10 a month anymore. I'll be hooking it up sometime tomorrow or friday. Hopefully I don't get any new NAT errors. x_x

EA is still having problems with their servers this morning. I assumed this would all be fixed by now.
I guess I'll be finishing the campaign today and maybe playing some tomb raider.

Amazon Prime is not impressing me. 3 different orders now over the last 2 months have all said "order within the next xx hours to get guaranteed delivery in 2 days".. and once again my package is late. Amazon Prime delivery estimates are about as reliable as PSN during a game's launch week.

That's weird . Everything I order has come on time as long as I ordered it Sunday -Wednesday. Thursday is the worst time to order anything because Saturday would be day 2 so it doesn't come til Monday .
