  1. Condi'ed out my Rev WvW style. I need 2 earrings and I'll be fully ascended. Cost me 400g to do for the armor. I already had the mace/axe/staff to stat swap. I didn't get to test it out because I spent 4 hours farming AB for Superior Runes of Durability. But it gave me a chance to learn the class more. I have 20k HP, a ton of toughness, and I can rack up 4k ticks of torment and confusion on vets. Getting rolled on by arrowheads only takes 15% of my HP. XD I can't wait to give this a shot tomorrow night with what I have.

I'm surprised you actually saw Cloud Fly die. XD Use berserker stance for the resistance to negate condi damage and try to go berserk mode as much as possible since the eternal champion trait will give you stability whenever you break a stun and enter berserk mode. Thats how I secure alot of stomps in pvp with my warrior. Headbutt alone is a stun break so I usually get stability from it, then it hits, activate berserk for even more stability. I don't have to dedicate any utilities for stability with that eternal champ trait. :D

Good points. I think I'll make a heavy viper set next, but won't rush to do it. I might start up some fractals again and maybe luck out with some more ascended armor chests.

I've been using my guard in wvw almost exclusively so I'm contemplating making a cele ascended set for her. But I'm a bit hesitant. I have 2 ascended armor boxes now so I'd only have to make 4 more pieces. But at the same time I could make a viper set for my warrior instead so I can run condi warrior and with spell breaker potentially being the next elite spec, it could work great for that.

Do you think it was worth the effort to get your rev geared up for that style of play? I'm going to try out my warrior in full berserk gear later to see how it handles itself in a zerg while running with hammer. Warrior hammer cc is crazy with the primal bursts. Skill 4 knockdowns 5 targets and the primal burst shoots out 5 shockwaves that immobilizes multiple enemies each.

  5. LoTR Fellowship of the Rings is such a slow book. The battle of five armies in The Hobbit was only around 40 pages. In Fellowship, I'm 80 pages in and Frodo is still in the process of leaving the shire.. wtf. I'm glad the movies skipped 90% of this. Nobody would watch the movie if 2 hours was dedicated to him attending his estate while waiting on Gandalf to finally show back up 15 years after telling Frodo to keep the ring safe. Roughly 15 years he was gone.. wtf. In the movies, its like he went and made a cell phone call and came right back all worried. In the book its a boring Hobbit's life with Frodo eventually taking care of his belongings, selling his house, getting his affairs in order, getting some breakfast with Sam, etc. x_x

  8. My top 5 games I've played since last E3.

    1. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    2. NieR: Automata
    3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
    4. Ratchet & Clank
    5. Battlefield 1 Campaign

That's pretty loose because technically Uncharted 4 came out a month before last E3, but I didn't play it until a few months after it came out. I tried not to put multiplayer/MMOs in there, but so little games impressed me enough into a purchase, this is the list I was left with. BF1's Campaign was pretty damn good though, despite my grudge against the MP as a whole, I can't overlook that. The episodic nature of it really worked well, and the finale of each were really epic. Kudos to DICE for finally making a competent single player experience outside of Bad Company.

My first 2 are leaps and bounds above the rest of the list. Uncharted 4 was outstanding, but in my heart and mind, I can't find it to be super memorable. This is because I played 1-4 in 5-6 days, and a lot of it jumbles to together into one big game. While 4 had amazing visuals, and more polished controls, it was more of the same from the last 3. But honestly that's not bad at all. The story and characters I loved very much, which caused me to buy the 4th immediately after beating the collection.

Zelda brought something completely new to the series, while keeping it very familiar. It's a masterpiece I hope everyone gets to enjoy. NeiR was just something new and refreshing from the norm. Despite its many flaws, its one of my favorite games of all time. I didn't think I'd like having to play through multiple times to get the real ending, but I actually did. The combat, story, and above all the music was just spectacular. It's def one of those games that not enough people will get to play because it fell through the cracks.

  10. World versus World in Guild Wars 2 is fun again. I've played a little over an hour a night for the last 2 nights and I haven't had that much fun in WvW since I was power leveling my second character almost 3 years ago. I think I'll upload a video later tomorrow. The zerg rushes are real. XD I saved a couple videos but the one I really wanted didn't save for some reason. We had a full on battle of 3 armies, so epic. XD

That food was useful and it surprised me how beneficial it was. My video card capture software does not like wvw. One of my videos saved with no audio. One didn't finish encoding and is unwatchable and all my videos since the windows 10 creators update has been full of endless stutter issues. 😒 the stuttering might be because of wvw causing to much strain on my cpu tho. Either that or its a strain on my hard drive read/ write. I'll have to take a couple videos of pvp to see if it's just a wvw issue for me.

You must have gotten on after I quit out last night. I was about to give up playing any WvW but then I saw Cloud Fly logged on, so I camped at a waypoint with him and waited about 15 mins for a zerg to form. Best hour of WvW I've ever had. :D I took a couple videos and I'll check them later and upload. Epic battles. Because there was no queue on any of the borderlands at the time, we kept swapping between each of the borderlands annihilating enemy zergs thanks to the scouts we had in place. XD

Resistance works great on warrior in pvp when I need to pop it. It makes you immune to condi damage but does not cleanse the condi from you. You can always tell when resistance is on because its represented as three glowing orbs all tethered together circling around you. Its another reason why healing signet is so strong on warrior. The constant HP regen is amazing, but then if you get condi bombed, you pop healing signet for the heal and the resistance, then use endure pain to negate physical damage while healing signet comes off cool down to resume regen healing. I don't know what skills or traits rev has for resistance but a rev can share that resistance with an entire group which can make them extremely useful in wvw.

I don't know how in the hell Cloud Fly survives as much as he does in WvW. Hes running bersker with healing signet, hammer and sword/(torch i think?). Sword is condi for warrior and hammer is all CC. I need to find out what his build is. If hes running with berserker stats then he must be using the defense trait line for the traited endure pain and extra healing regen traits. That guy is impressive as all hell in WvW.

  12. I'll give credit where its due. Microsoft had a pretty good E3 presentation. But sadly for them the XBox One X is like the Wii U in title. Its going to get them screwed up. On top of that what percentage of the base is going to be using 4k? $500 is steep. Its like the Goldstar 3DO... unnecessarily ahead of its time. They had some time exclusive stuff, but Sony had real exclusives like Spider-Man, Days Gone, and of course God of War.

lol. XD 10 hours makes sense. In the height of my pvp back piece gameplay, the mid chests and up easily took about 4 to 10 hours each depending on how many losses I'd get. At least those I could work towards over the course of an entire 2 month season. Having wvw reset the pip track every week is too brutal to me. If I can get my bronze chest done every week I'll be content. The long haul doesn't bother me to much. Anyone that finishes that full chest/pip track every week must be putting in at least 30+ hours a week in wvw. x_x

I mean yeah it is a completely different game mode, but with all the condi spam it's nothing like what wvw used to be. 2 years ago it felt like large scale pvp with seige weapons and buildings but now it's a condi spam boon fest. If not for guardians in the zerg providing mass stability everyone would be cc'd into total knockdown status while condis melt all the hp away. I couldn't imagine playing this during the epidemic meta.

That screams pve commander to me. They can't attack an object like it's a world boss. 😑 they need tactics and  correct seige. That guy was just in it for the commander pips and participation meter. It's still rewarding for the pips but serves no purpose in progressing the server score.

I was thinking I'd be able to kick pvp to the curb and enjoy only wvw for competitive fun but wvw in these zergs completely feels like a different game mode since I haven't seen a single dual anywhere and not a single finisher is ever used anymore because of all the condi spikes melting even downed players before a finisher can get off.

The server linking doesn't seem to serve a purpose now except to give all servers massive queues and guaranteed number superiority over unlinked servers. Sure jade quarry has large queues but a couple times this week I've seen at least one borderland with no queue. That alone gives the other server's a big advantage in the weekly score.

  18. When you play your best games as Mercy ever and no one votes for your card even though you clutch revived the team to victory, and got POTG twice as Mercy. Healers live a underappreciated life, but no one has any problems complaining about not having one. I've almost sunken into fulltime healer on Overwatch because now when I'm not healer, I rage when the one we have sucks. I started playing Ana and Mercy a lot more just to be proficient with them. I'm a trolling beast with Lucio now, to where I can pretty much kill tanks and hit scan heroes doing wall hanging. (Thanks DPStanky for that inspiration) Joke is on everyone else on Double XP weekend though, Healers always get a gold medal for healing... and sadly if I'm Lucio I can pull off 4-5 gold medals if my team is that bad.

  19. So the new computer finally arrived and boy is it beautiful (and bigger then I thought, thing is huge). I'm now not looking forward to installing everything I need on it to get it up to snuff like my laptop is (so much to do). Sadly I won't be playing FFXIV tonight because it's going to take 3+ hours to download and install all the updates (not to mention Heavensward which I opted to dl instead of digging my disk out of the closet).

I'll take pictures of it tomorrow and post them, to tired to do it right now as I spent the last two hours digging it out of the box and setting it up.

Thats how it was for me with pvp league season 1. XD Nice armor drop! All the loot I've been getting has been nothing but blues and greens and loot bags. After an hour I had 30 heavy bags in my inventory.. then checked the tp and all combined it was worth about 1 gold. lmao. No wonder WvW players are poor. XD For a change I'm glad I don't have any long term goal in the game so I can just enjoy a game mode in its prime. At least until this next season of pvp starts up. I still need 40 more wins to finish up my pvp back piece. I'll probably finish that over a couple more seasons tho so I don't get burned out on it and still get to enjoy WvW in it's new prime.

  22. Its pretty irritating how inconsistently YouTube runs on Firefox. Even at 40mpbs it still buffers and stalls on long videos.. but only for certain videos and channels. Sometimes I can watch an hour video no issue, sometimes I can't. But on Chrome it always works... because you know, google owns both. -_-;. Its bullshit. Anytime I want to watch Wooden Potatoes I pretty much have to do it on chrome.

  24. I rewatched Paranoia Agent for the first time since it originally aired on Adult Swim over a decade ago. It wasn't as weird as I remember it being... probably because I've seen way more weird stuff since then and have been desensitized. It was still bizarre though. It will always have one of the most strange and memorable openings.

  25. Finished watching Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) last night and what a fucking trip it was. Enjoyed every minute of it which is odd for me with newer anime. For a show that uses a villain for a main character (yes this is not you're typical good guy anime show) it certainly took some risks that I thought paid off (from using a Nazi Germany like country in the Empire (this is set in a world similar to ours during the WWI era) and a sadistic 11-year old girls a the protagonist (the villain)).

Gotta say I highly recommend giving it a watch if you can (currently only up on Crunchyroll, I know Funi has the rights so it may eventually see a State side release). Can't wait for the second season.
