  1. World versus World in Guild Wars 2 is fun again. I've played a little over an hour a night for the last 2 nights and I haven't had that much fun in WvW since I was power leveling my second character almost 3 years ago. I think I'll upload a video later tomorrow. The zerg rushes are real. XD I saved a couple videos but the one I really wanted didn't save for some reason. We had a full on battle of 3 armies, so epic. XD

lol. XD 10 hours makes sense. In the height of my pvp back piece gameplay, the mid chests and up easily took about 4 to 10 hours each depending on how many losses I'd get. At least those I could work towards over the course of an entire 2 month season. Having wvw reset the pip track every week is too brutal to me. If I can get my bronze chest done every week I'll be content. The long haul doesn't bother me to much. Anyone that finishes that full chest/pip track every week must be putting in at least 30+ hours a week in wvw. x_x

I mean yeah it is a completely different game mode, but with all the condi spam it's nothing like what wvw used to be. 2 years ago it felt like large scale pvp with seige weapons and buildings but now it's a condi spam boon fest. If not for guardians in the zerg providing mass stability everyone would be cc'd into total knockdown status while condis melt all the hp away. I couldn't imagine playing this during the epidemic meta.

That screams pve commander to me. They can't attack an object like it's a world boss. ūüėĎ they need tactics and ¬†correct seige. That guy was just in it for the commander pips and participation meter. It's still rewarding for the pips but serves no purpose in progressing the server score.

I was thinking I'd be able to kick pvp to the curb and enjoy only wvw for competitive fun but wvw in these zergs completely feels like a different game mode since I haven't seen a single dual anywhere and not a single finisher is ever used anymore because of all the condi spikes melting even downed players before a finisher can get off.

The server linking doesn't seem to serve a purpose now except to give all servers massive queues and guaranteed number superiority over unlinked servers. Sure jade quarry has large queues but a couple times this week I've seen at least one borderland with no queue. That alone gives the other server's a big advantage in the weekly score.

  6. When you play your best games as Mercy ever and no one votes for your card even though you clutch revived the team to victory, and got POTG twice as Mercy. Healers live a underappreciated life, but no one has any problems complaining about not having one. I've almost sunken into fulltime healer on Overwatch because now when I'm not healer, I rage when the one we have sucks. I started playing Ana and Mercy a lot more just to be proficient with them. I'm a trolling beast with Lucio now, to where I can pretty much kill tanks and hit scan heroes doing wall hanging. (Thanks DPStanky for that inspiration) Joke is on everyone else on Double XP weekend though, Healers always get a gold medal for healing... and sadly if I'm Lucio I can pull off 4-5 gold medals if my team is that bad.

  7. So the new computer finally arrived and boy is it beautiful (and bigger then I thought, thing is huge). I'm now not looking forward to installing everything I need on it to get it up to snuff like my laptop is (so much to do). Sadly I won't be playing FFXIV tonight because it's going to take 3+ hours to download and install all the updates (not to mention Heavensward which I opted to dl instead of digging my disk out of the closet).

I'll take pictures of it tomorrow and post them, to tired to do it right now as I spent the last two hours digging it out of the box and setting it up.

Thats how it was for me with pvp league season 1. XD Nice armor drop! All the loot I've been getting has been nothing but blues and greens and loot bags. After an hour I had 30 heavy bags in my inventory.. then checked the tp and all combined it was worth about 1 gold. lmao. No wonder WvW players are poor. XD For a change I'm glad I don't have any long term goal in the game so I can just enjoy a game mode in its prime. At least until this next season of pvp starts up. I still need 40 more wins to finish up my pvp back piece. I'll probably finish that over a couple more seasons tho so I don't get burned out on it and still get to enjoy WvW in it's new prime.

  10. Its pretty irritating how inconsistently YouTube runs on Firefox. Even at 40mpbs it still buffers and stalls on long videos.. but only for certain videos and channels. Sometimes I can watch an hour video no issue, sometimes I can't. But on Chrome it always works... because you know, google owns both. -_-;. Its bullshit. Anytime I want to watch Wooden Potatoes I pretty much have to do it on chrome.

  12. I rewatched Paranoia Agent for the first time since it originally aired on Adult Swim over a decade ago. It wasn't as weird as I remember it being... probably because I've seen way more weird stuff since then and have been desensitized. It was still bizarre though. It will always have one of the most strange and memorable openings.

  13. Finished watching Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) last night and what a fucking trip it was. Enjoyed every minute of it which is odd for me with newer anime. For a show that uses a villain for a main character (yes this is not you're typical good guy anime show) it certainly took some risks that I thought paid off (from using a Nazi Germany like country in the Empire (this is set in a world similar to ours during the WWI era) and a sadistic 11-year old girls a the protagonist (the villain)).

Gotta say I highly recommend giving it a watch if you can (currently only up on Crunchyroll, I know Funi has the rights so it may eventually see a State side release). Can't wait for the second season.

  14. I finished reading The Hobbit for the first time. Great book but I definitely liked the movies more. It's amazing how they took 40 pages at the end of the book about the battle of the five armies and turned it into an entire 2 1/2 hour movie. Lol. Gandalf didn't seem as powerful as he was in the movies but close enough. But the dwarves in the book were nothing like in the movies. The dwarves hardly fought at all in the book until the very end. They often relied on Gandalf or Bikbo to save them in every situation. Wtf. But the biggest difference I  the book compared to the movies was that Bilbo told them all about the ring. Lol. It wasn't even a secret. They were shocked at first but then he used it constantly.. he even had it on for a solid 2 weeks while the dwarves were imprisoned buy the elves. O_O

  21. Fairy Tail is officially ending. Only 10 chapters left. This writer turned this series into garbage plot lines. :windows: I'm genuinely pissed at this manga now. Not because favorite characters are being killed off like most manga/animes do at the end.. Not that any main characters at this point are in any real threat of dying since every character seems to be immortal. Being mad like that would be a good thing since it means I feel for the characters and the overall plot.. But instead I'm mad because the writer threw so many random plot lines into the story over the last year that its become laughable like a bad soap opera. All long term plot lines are pretty much negated and last minute characters and plot lines now resolve everything.. something that was just revealed 10 chapters ago now solves half the danger to the planet that has been build up as an ultimate power throughout the last 400 chapters. wtf.

I'll compare this to DBZ. Imagine all that build up how powerful Freeza was.. but then right before Goku is going to fight him, Krillin found some magic orb and then Bulma kicked it at Freeza and killed him. No big fight with Goku, no planet namek getting destroyed.. hell, Goku never even met Freeza. Thats the equivalent of what just happened. WTF.

lol. I'm surprised there are still 9 chapters left. Unless some enemy comes back to life to do another fight (this would not surprise me at all), then these last 9 chapters are all basically going to be an epilogue since there are no enemies left to fight.

lol. The rallying in Fairy Tail is insane. Grey has "died" at least 3 times. Gajeel has "died" at least twice. Another slight spoiler.. he was atomized / sucked into a black hole into literal hell with nothing but his face left in void crying out just as he died.. I felt nothing at all. -_-; Its like the boy who cried wolf. You can only fool people so much. I knew for a fact he wouldn't stay dead at that point because everyone in Fairy Tail will never die, and sure as hell 2 chapters later there he was just fine.

      Some people in Naruto really did die, but the biggest kick in the ass to me was when half the characters died in an epic fight.. and in the end Naruto used his all powerful "talk no-jutsu" (literally talking with no ninja skill) and he somehow talked this bad ass enemy into killing himself while simultaneously resurrecting everyone that died that day. wtf. What a way to negate everything emotional that happened and re-inforce the idea that almost all the characters will forever be immune to death. -_-;

The first half of the anime was great. I loved the tournament fight, the time skip, alternate world, etc. But the second half, after they explained where the dragons were this whole time.. then some time travel stuff, etc.. the plot just went to hell. If this series didn't try to pull a Naruto / Bleach move and make the plot into this giant mess that involves having to save the world it would have been much better. Speaking of Bleach, the second half of that manga had its plot turn into such garbage that the anime was straight up canceled and the manga publisher canceled it too and gave the guy a set number of chapters left to finish. There were so many chapters of bleach that got so lazy that I swear I was reading a manga about a bunch of white pillars in mexican hell with text dialogue with some characters occasionally shown. Yes.. mexican/spanish hell. Everyone had spanish names and was a couple levels above actual hell or some crap. wtf. Fairy Tail got that bad with "the power of nakama/friendship". If any character of Fairy Tail was about to be defeated, or was defeated, they would then stand up with some reserve energy, give a speech about never letting their friends down and then 1-2 punch combo the enemy that is at full strength for a sure fire win. Every damn time. Slight spoiler near the end of the series that gives nothing really away because of predictability.. Erza had every bone in her body broken at the end of a chapter. Everyone in the comments predicted she would win by invoking the power of friendship.. next chapter she talks about her friends, magic blasts herself off the ground, destroys a meteor or some crap while simultaneously defeating a massive all powerful enemy in one attack. wtf. Every fight went like that for about the last year.

Nah, I think that was the anime going on hiatus again. This is probably the first anime that I'd like to see end differently from the manga. Some of the filler arcs in the anime has a better plot than whats going on right now. x_x
